2Femtosecond pump-probe photoionization-photofragmentation spectroscopy of azobenzene cation显示文摘We report the studies of ultrafast dynamics of azobenzene cations using femtosecond photoionization-photofragmentation spectroscopy. In our experiment,a femtosecond pump pulse first prepares an ensemble of azobenzene cations via photoionization of neutrals. A delayed probe pulse then brings the evolving ionic system to higher states that ultimately undergo ion fragmentation. The dynamics is followed by monitoring either the parent-ion depletion or fragment-ion formation as a function of the pump-probe delay time. The observed transients for azobenzene cations are characterized by a constant ion depletion modulated by a rapidly damped oscillatory signal with a period of about 1 ps. Theoretical calculations suggest that the oscillation arises from a vibration motion along the twisting inversion coordinate involving displacements in CNNC and phenyl-ring torsions. The oscillation is damped rapidly with a time constant of about 1.2 ps,suggesting that energy dissipation from the active mode to bath modes takes place on this time scale.HO JrWei 2010Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2010,53,6:4
3π-Conjugated cyanostilbene-based optoelectric functional materials显示文摘π-Conjugated organic luminescent materials are essential components for modern optical and photoelectric research.This review mainly probes into the recent work in the progress of smart π-conjugated organic systems in the form of cyanostilbene and its derivatives,which can regulate its excellent features in response to a variety of physical or chemical stimuli(e.g.viscosity,light,magnetism,electric field,polarity,pH and solvent environment).As a result of its extensive applicability and adaptability,cyanostilbene and its derivatives have been planted into different structural architectures such as polymers,functional nanoparticles,solid membranes,supramolecular systems and so on.This review will first give a general description of the preparation and characterization of cyanostilbenebased optoelectric luminophores and then focus on their peculiar functional properties in the need for advanced material applications,such as AIEE(aggregation-induced enhanced emission effect),solidstate emission,photovoltaics,photolithography and photochromism to be further processed afterwards.The purpose of this review is to give a platform of practical organic materials,mostly cyanostilbene and its derivatives,based on stable aromatic derivatives,to contribute to the booming of modern π-conjugated photoelectric materials that integrate with contemporary physics,material chemistry,bioengineering,medical science and aerospace altogether.Cheng Hang Hong-Wei Wu Liang-Liang Zhu 2016Chinese Chemical Letters2016,27,8:2
4Investigation on Viscoelasticity of Waterborne Polyurethane with Azobenzene-containing Pendant Groups under Ultraviolet and Visible-light Irradiation显示文摘In this study,a novel waterborne polyurethane(WPU)with azobenzene-containing(azo-containing)pendant groups was synthesized by isophorone diisocyanate,long-chain diol of polycaprolactone,2-ethyl-2-methyl-butanoic acid(2,2-dimethylolpropionic acid),10-(4-(phenyldiazenyl)phenoxy)decyl-3-hydroxy-2-(hydroxymethyl)-2-methylpropanoate,and N,N-diethyl-ethanamine(triethylamine).Moreover,the influence of ultraviolet and visible(UV-Vis)light irradiation on the viscoelasticity of azo-containing WPU film in terms of the reversible trans-cis photoisomerization of azo-containing pendant groups was investigated by UV-Vis light spectroscopy,atomic force microscopy,and dynamic thermomechanical analysis.The results revealed that the adhesion of azo-containing WPU with single crystal silicon atomic force microscope probe was about 13 n N when irradiated by 450 nm Vis light for 60 s at 25°C.Subsequently,the adhesion increased to 82 n N after irradiation with 365 nm UV light for 60 s at 25°C.In addition,the azo-containing WPU presented a photo-induced reversible transition of tensile modulus and tanδin the range from about 2 MPa to 22 MPa and 6000 to 0.35 with UV-Vis light cyclic irradiation for 120 s at 25°C,respectively.Yi-Jun Liu Dong Liu Si-Han Li Hua-Qing Liang Fang-Ming Zhu 2019Chinese Journal of Polymer Science2019,37,12:2
5Synthesis of a Polymer-bound Sensitizer and its Application in the Photoisomerization of trans-Vitamin D_3 to cis-Vitamin D_3显示文摘A polymer-bound photosensitizer was synthesized by the reaction of Merrifield resin with 9-anthracenemethanol in the presence of potassium hydride. The photoisomerization of trans-vitamin D3 to cis-vitamin D3 was carried out with this polymer-bound photosensitizer in ethanol and toluene solutions. 6Reconfigurable metasurfaces that enable light polarization control by light显示文摘Plasmonic metasurfaces have recently attracted much attention because of their novel characteristics with respect to light polarization and wave front control on deep-subwavelength scales.The development of metasurfaces with reconfigurable optical responses is opening new opportunities in high-capacity communications,real-time holograms and adaptive optics.Such tunable devices have been developed in the mid-infrared spectral range and operated in light intensity modulation schemes.Here we present a novel optically reconfigurable hybrid metasurface that enables polarization tuning at optical frequencies.The functionality of tuning is realized by switching the coupling conditions between the plasmonic modes and the binary isomeric states of an ethyl red switching layer upon light stimulation.We achieved more than 20°nonlinear changes in the transmitted polarization azimuth using just 4 mW of switching light power.Such design schemes and principles could be easily applied to dynamically adjust the functionalities of other metasurfaces.Meng-Xin Ren Wei Wu Wei Cai Biao Pi Xin-Zheng Zhang Jing-Jun Xu 2016Light(Science & Applications)2016,5,1:1
7Three novel photoisomeric compounds of the 4-acyl pyrazolone derivants: Crystal structures and substituent effects on photo-isomerism in solid state显示文摘Three new photoisomeric compounds: 1,3-diphenyl-4-benzal-5-pyrazolone 4-methylthiosemicarbazone (DPBP-MTSC), 1,3-diphenyl-4-(4′-methylbenzal)-5-pyrazolone 4-methylthiosemicarbazone (DP4MBP- MTSC), and 1,3-diphenyl-4-(4′-bromobenzal)-5-pyrazolone 4-methylthiosemicarbazone (DP4BrBP-MTSC) were synthesized by direct condensation of pyrazolones and 4-methylthiosemicarbazone. Their struc- tures were confirmed using 1H NMR, IR, elemental analyses, and X-ray crystallographic analyses. The photoisomeric properties in the solid state were studied under UV light irradiation and the photo- isomerization phenomena were interpreted by the double proton-transfer mechanism. 8Diazocine as a Versatile Building Block Enables Excellent Photoswitching and Chromic Properties in Self-Assembled Organogels显示文摘Novel types of photoresponsive organogelators containing a diazocine moiety have been synthesized,and their gelation behaviors have been characterized systematically.Subtle changes in the pendant structure of these bent-core molecules cause significant changes in the molecular packing mode in their self-assembled gels.By making use of the unconventional conformational and photochromic properties of the diazocine core,the obtained gels exhibited excellent photoswitching and-chromic properties.For the first time,the diazocine unit has been demonstrated as a versatile building block to construct photoresponsive supramolecular gels.The sensitive interconversion between multiple states of these chromic gels highlights their promising applications in fabricating logic gates with appropriate addressing mode(stimulated by visible light or heating).Yingying Wang Mengwei Li Chunmei Yan Ning Ma Yulan Chen 2022CCS Chemistry2022,4,2:1
9In-situ photoisomerization of azobenzene to inhibit ion-migration for stable high-efficiency perovskite solar cells显示文摘Ion migration is a notorious problem in perovskite solar cells(PSCs)that severely mutilates device performance.Herein,a strategy to inhibit ion migration in situ is developed by using photoisomerization of azobenzene(AZO)to immobilize cations in the lattice.During the nucleation process,the photoisomerized cis-AZO reacts with FA^(+),MA^(+)and Pb2+cations in the perovskite precursor by synergistic cation-πinteraction and Lewis base coordination,leading to heterogeneous nucleation to produce uniform perovskite film.Meanwhile,it accelerates conversion of intermediate yellowδ-phase to desired black aphase of FAPb I3for improved crystallinity with well-passivated grain surface.Consequently,defect density is effectively reduced for the perovskite film to demonstrate suppressed carrier recombination and enhanced carrier extraction.Subsequently,the solar cell efficiency is elevated from 21.29%to 23.58%with negligible J-V hysteresis.Long-term stability is also improved,with the bare device without any encapsulation retaining 84%of its initial efficiency after aging 744 hours in ambient.Xuejiao Zuo Yiyang He Hongyu Ji Yong Li Xiuying Yang Binxun Yu Tao Wang Zhike Liu Wenliang Huang Jing Gou Ningyi Yuan Jianning Ding Shengzhong Frank Liu 2022Journal of Energy Chemistry2022,31,10:1
10Photoisomerization of norbornadiene group in a rigid bichromophoric compound initiated by remote keto chromophore: long-distance through-bond triplet energy transfer显示文摘A diad compound 3β(bicyclo[2,2,1]hepta-2,5-diene-2-methylcarboxylate-3-carboxy)-an-drost-5-en-17-one (NBD-S-ONE) was synthesized and its photochemistry was examined. Irradiation of NBD-S-ONE in acetonitrile at λ > 300 nm selectively excited the keto chromophore. 11Topological-skeleton controlled chirality expression of supramolecular hyperbranched and linear polymers显示文摘The topology of polymers plays an essential role in their chemical,physical and biological properties.However,their effects on chirality-related functions remain unclear.Here,we reported the topology-controlled chirality expression in the chiral supramolecular system for the first time.Two topological supramolecular polymers,hy-perbranched(HP)and linear(LP)supramolecular polymers produced by the host-guest interactions of branched and linear monomers,respectively,exhibited completely different chirality expressions despite the same molecu-lar chirality of their monomers.Significantly,due to the branch points and strong steric hindrance existing in HP,cis-HP showed an enhanced and sign-inverted Cotton effect in the n-π^(∗)bands compared with cis-LP,as a result that the distinctive chirality induction and transfer were controlled by the topological skeletons.This topology-controlled chirality induction and transfer in the photoswitchable supramolecular polymers not only enables us to elucidate the in-depth effects of topology on the chiral expression in biopolymers but also inspires the design of chiroptical and bioinspired materials.Xin Song Xuefeng Zhu Hao Yao Weili Shang Cong Du Wensheng Lu Minghua Liu Wei Tian 2022Fundamental Research2022,2,3:0
