Sm-Nd isotope dating of hydrothermal calcites from the Xikuangshan antimony deposit,Central Hunan显示文摘The research on Samarium-Neodymium isotope systematics of hydrothermal calcites from the Xi-kuangshan antimony deposit, Central Hunan, places precise timing constraints on the Sb mineralization in this area. It is revealed that the Xikuangshan deposit formed during the late Jurassic-early Cretaceous Period, the early- and late-stage mineralization took place at (155.5±1.1) Ma and (124.1±3.7) Ma, respectively. The accurate age determination of mineralization is very crucial for revealing the super-enrichment mechanism of the element Sb at the Xikuangshan mine, and lays some foundations for the further understandings of its ore genesis and mineralization mechanism. | PENG Jiantang HU Ruizhong LIN Yuanxian ZHAO Junhong | 2002 | Chinese Science Bulletin2002,47,13: | 19
Nd isotopic compositions of the Tethyan Himalayan Sequence in southeastern Tibet显示文摘The Himalayan orogen consists of three major lithologic units that are separated by two major north-dipping faults: the Lesser Himalayan Sequence (LHS) below the Main Central Thrust (MCT), the Greater Himalayan Crystalline Complex (GHC) above the MCT, and the Tethyan Himalayan Sequence (THS) juxtaposed by the South Tibet Detachment fault (STD) over the GHC. Due to widespread meta-morphism and intense deformation, differentiating the above three lithologic units is often difficult. This problem has been overcome by the use of Sm-Nd isotopic analysis. The previous studies suggested that the LHS can be clearly distinguished from the GHC and THS by their Nd isotope compositions. However, the lack of detailed and systematic Sm-Nd isotopic studies of the THS across the Himalaya in general has made differentiation of this unit from the nearby GHC impossible, as the two appear to share overlapping Nd compositions and model ages. To address this problem, we systematically sam-pled and analyzed Nd isotopes of the THS in southeastern Tibet directly north of Bhutan. Our study identifies two distinctive fields in a εNd -TDM plot. The first is defined by the εNd(210 Ma) values of -3.45 to -7.34 and TDM values of 1.15 to 1.29 Ga from a Late Triassic turbidite sequence, which are broadly similar to those obtained from the Lhasa block. The second field is derived from the Early Cretaceous meta-sedimentary rocks with εNd(130 Ma) values from -15.24 to -16.61 and TDM values from 1.63 to 2.00 Ga; these values are similar to those obtained from the Greater Himalayan Crystalline Complex in Bhutan directly south of our sampling traverse, which has εNd(130 Ma) values of -10.89 to -16.32 and Nd model ages (TDM) of 1.73 to 2.20 Ga. From the above observations, we suggest that the Late Triassic strata of the southeast Tibetan THS were derived from the Lhasa block in the north, while the Early Cretaceous strata of the THS were derived from a source similar to the High Himalayan Crystalline Complex or Indian craton in the south. Our interpretation is consistent with the existing palaeocurrent data and provenance analysis of the Late Triassic strata in southeastern Tibet, which indicate the sediments derived from a northern source. Thus, we suggest that the Lhasa terrane and the Indian craton were close to one another in the Late Triassic and were separated by a rift valley across which a large submarine fan was transported southward and deposited on the future northern margin of the Indian continent. | DAI JinGen YIN An LIU WenCan WANG ChengShan | 2008 | Science China Earth Sciences2008,51,9: | 19
N_2-Ar-He systematics and source of ore-forming fluid in Changkeng Au-Ag deposit, central Guangdong, China显示文摘Changkeng Au-Ag deposit is a newly-discovered new type precious metal deposit. N2-Ar-He systematics studies and 3He/4He and δD-δ18O composition analyses show that the ore-forming fluid of the deposit is composed mainly of formation water (sedimentary brine) but not of meteoric water, which was thought to be source of the ore-forming fluid by most previous researchers. The content of mantle-derived magmatic water in the ore-forming fluid is quite low, usually lower than 10%. According to the source of the ore-forming fluid, the Changkeng Au-Ag deposit should belong to sedimentary brine transformed deposits. From the Late Jurassic to the Early Cretaceous Period, with deposition and accumulation of thick sediments in Sanzhou Basin, the formation water in the sedimentary layers was expelled from the basin because of overburden pressure and increasing temperature. The expelled fluid moved laterally along sedimentary layers to the margin of the basin, and finally moved upward along a gently-dipping | 孙晓明 孙凯 陈炳辉 陈敬德 David I.Norman | 1999 | Science China Earth Sciences1999,42,5: | 12
Earliest Asian discoglossid frog from western Liaoning显示文摘Based on a superbly preserved skeleton, a new anuran taxon has been named and described from the Yixian Formation (Upper Jurassic/Lower Cretaceous), Liaoning Province, northeastern China. This discovery documents the first discoglossid fossil from China, the earliest record of the group in Asia, and the only second Mesozoic discoglossid known from fully articulated material in the world. The family Discoglossidae is widely perceived as a primitive anuran group, but has no definite fossils found in collaboration with their recent distribution in Asia. The new discovery from Liaoning extends the temporal range of the group in Asia back at least 120 million years, and provides valuable fossil material for study of anatomical details of early discoglossids, as well as of historical distribution of this primitive anuran group. | WANG Yuan and GAO Keqin Institute of Vertebrate Paleontology and Paleoanthropology, Chinese Academy of Sciences , Beijing 100044, China Department of Vertebrate Paleontology, American Museum of Natural History, NY 10024, USA | 1999 | Chinese Science Bulletin1999,44,7: | 7
Origin of Ore-Forming Fluids of Mississippi Valley-Type (MVT) Pb-Zn Deposits in Kangdian Area, China显示文摘Analyses of fluid\|inclusion leachates from ore deposits show that Na/Br ratios are within the range of 75-358 and Cl/Br 67-394, respectively, and this variation trend coincides with the seawater evaporation trajectory on the basis of the Na/Br and Cl/Br ratios. The average Cl/Br and Na/Br ratios of mineralizing fluids are 185 and 173 respectively, which are very close to the ratios (120 and 233) of the residual evaporated seawater past the point of halite precipitation. It is suggested that the original mineralizing brine was derived from highly evaporated seawater with a high salinity. However, the inclusion fluids have absolute Na values of \{69.9\}-\{2606.2\} mmol kg\+\{-1\} and Cl values of \{106.7\}-\{1995.5\} mmol kg\+\{-1\}. Most of the values are much less than those of seawater: Na, 485 mmol kg\+\{-1\} and Cl, 566 mmol kg\+\{-1\}, respectively; the salinity measured from fluid inclusions of the deposits ranges from \{2.47 wt%\} to \{15.78 wt%\} NaCl equiv. The mineralizing brine has been diluted. The \{δ\{\}\+\{18\}O\} and δD values of ore\|forming fluids vary from \{-8.21‰\} to \{9.51‰\} and from \{-40.3‰\} to \{-94.3‰\}, respectively. The δD values of meteoric water in this region varied from \{-80‰\} to \{-100‰\} during the Jurassic. This evidenced that the ore\|forming fluids are the mixture of seawater and meteoric water. Highly evaporated seawater was responsible for leaching and extracting Pb, Zn and Fe, and mixed with and diluted by descending meteoric water, which resulted in the formation of ores. | 王奖臻 李泽琴 倪师军 | 2003 | Chinese Journal Of Geochemistry2003,22,4: | 7

What are the common anthracnose pathogens of tropical fruits?显示文摘t Species of Colletotrichum are associated with anthracnose of a wide range of host plants including cultivated and wild tropical fruits. The genetic and ecological diversity of species associated with wild fruits are poorly explored,as compared to those associated with pre and postharvest diseases of cultivated fruits. In the present study, isolates of Colletotrichum were obtained from commercially available cultivated fruits, wild fruits(from native trees in natural habitats)and a few herbaceous hosts collected in northern Thailand. These isolates were initially characterized based on analysis of complete sequences of nuclear ribosomal internal transcribed spacer(ITS),into the genetically defined species complexes of Colletotrichum gloeosporioides,C.acutatum,C.boninense and C.truncatum.The isolates were primarily identified in the C.gloeosporioides species complex, based on a strongly supported clade within the ITS gene tree and were further characterized using multi-gene phylogenetic analyses and morphology.Phylogenetic analyses of ITS,partial sequences of actin(ACT),calmodulin(CAL),glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase(GAPDH),glutamine synthetase(GS)andβtubulin(TUB2)genetic markers were performed individually and in combination.Colletotrichum gloeosporioides sensu stricto was identified from lime(Citrus aurantifolia)and rose apple(Syzygium samarangense).Colletotrichum fructicola was isolated from dragon fruit(Hylocerous undatus)and jujube(Ziziphus sp.).Colletotrichum endophytica was found only from an unknown wild fruit. We observed a considerable genetic and host diversity of species occurring on tropical fruits within the clade previously known as Colletotrichum siamense sensu lato. The clade consists of isolates identified as pre and postharvest pathogens on a wide range of fruits, including coffee(Coffea arabica),custard apple(Annona reticulata),Cerbera sp.,figs(Ficus racemosa)mango(Mangifera indica),neem(Azadirachta indica)and papaya(Carica papaya)and was the dominant group of species among most wild fruits studied. With the exception of one isolate from banana, which grouped in the C.siamense clade, all the other isolates were identified as Colletotrichum musae.A new species,Colletotrichum syzygicola, associated with Syzygium samarangense in Thailand,is introduced with descriptions and illustrations. This study highlights the need to re-assess the evolutionary relationships of Colletotrichum species occurring on cultivated and wild fruits with emphasis on their ecology and cryptic diversification including sampling at regional and global scales. | Dhanushka Udayanga Dimuthu S.Manamgoda Xingzhong Liu Ekachai Chukeatirote Kevin D.Hyde | 2013 | Fungal Diversity2013,,4: | 6
Species of the Colletotrichum gloeosporioides complex associated with anthracnose diseases of Proteaceae显示文摘Anthracnose disease of Proteaceae has in the past chiefly been attributed to infections by C.acutatum,C.boninense and C.gloeosporioides.In the present study,a multi-locus phylogenetic analysis(ACT,CAL,CHS-1,GAPDH,GS,ITS,TUB2)revealed that strains of the C.gloeosporioides complex associated with Proteaceae belong to at least six species. These include C.alienum,C.aotearoa,C.kahawae(subsp.ciggaro),C.siamense,and two new taxa,C.proteae and C.grevilleae.The most economically important pathogen of Proteaceae seems to be C.alienum, and not C.gloeosporioides as previously reported. All taxa associated with Proteaceae are morphologically described on different media in culture, except strains of C.siamense, which proved to be sterile.Furthermore,C.populi is synonymised with C.aenigma. | Fang Liu Ulrike Damm Lei Cai Pedro W.Crous | 2013 | Fungal Diversity2013,,4: | 6
Sequences of cytochrome b gene for primitive cyprinid fishes in East Asia and their phylogenetic concerning显示文摘1140 bp of cytochrome b gene were amplified and sequenced from 14 species of primitive cyprinid fishes in East Asia. Aligned with other ten cytochrome b gene sequences of cyprinid fish from Europe and North America retrieved from Gene bank, we obtained a matrix of 24 DNA sequences. A cladogram was generated by the method of Maximum likelihood for the primitive cyprinid fishes. The result indicated that subfamily Leuciscinae and Danioninae do not form a monophyletic group. In the subfamily Danioninae, Opsariichthys biden and Zacco platypus are very primitive and form a natural group and located at the root. But the genera in subfamily Danioninae are included in different groups and have not direct relationship. Among them, Aphyocypris chinensis and Yaoshanicus arcus form a monophyletic group. Tanichthys albonubes and Gobiocypris rarus have a close relation to Gobioninae. The genus Danio is far from other genera in Danioninae. | 13 | A six-gene phylogenetic overview of Basidiomycota and allied phyla with estimated divergence times of higher taxa and a phyloproteomics perspective显示文摘In this paper,we provide a phylogenetic overview of Basidiomycota and related phyla in relation to ten years of DNA based phylogenetic studies since the AFTOL publications in 2007.We selected 529 species to address phylogenetic relationships of higher-level taxa using a maximumlikelihood framework and sequence data from six genes traditionally used in fungal molecular systematics(nrLSU,nrSSU,5.8S,tef1-a,rpb1 and rpb2).These species represent 18 classes,62 orders,183 families, and 392 genera from the phyla Basidiomycota(including the newly recognized subphylum Wallemiomycotina)and Entorrhizomycota, and 13 species representing 13 classes of Ascomycota as outgroup taxa.We also conducted a molecular dating analysis based on these six genes for 116 species representing 17 classes and 54 orders of Basidiomycota and Entorrhizomycota. Finally we performed a phyloproteomics analysis from 109 Basidiomycota species and 6 outgroup taxa using amino-acid sequences retrieved from 396 orthologous genes.Recognition of higher taxa follows the criteria in Zhao et al(Fungal Divers 78:239–292,2016):(i)taxa must be monophyletic and statistically well-supported in molecular dating analyses,(ii)their respective stem ages should be roughly equivalent, and(iii)stem ages of higher taxa must be older than those of lower level taxa. The time-tree indicates that the mean of stem ages of Basidiomycota and Entorrhizomycota are ca.530 Ma;subphyla of Basidiomycota are 406–490 Ma;most classes are 358–393 Ma for those of Agaricomycotina and 245–356 Ma for those of Pucciniomycotina and Ustilaginomycotina;most orders of those subphyla split 120–290 Ma.Monophyly of most higherlevel taxa of Basidiomycota are generally supported, especially those taxa introduced in the recent ten years:phylum Entorrhizomycota, classes Malasseziomycetes,Moniliellomycetes,Spiculogloeomycetes,Tritirachiomycetes and orders Amylocorticiales,Golubeviales,Holtermanniales,Jaapiales,Lepidostromatales,Robbauerales,Stereopsidales and Trichosporonales. However, the younger divergence times of Leucosporidiales(Microbotryomycetes)indicate that its order status is not supported, thus we propose combining it under Microbotryales. On the other hand, the families Buckleyzymaceae and Sakaguchiaceae(Cystobasidiomycetes)are raised to Buckleyzymales and Sakaguchiales due to their older divergence times.Cystofilobasidiales(Tremellomycetes)has an older divergence time and should be amended to a higher rank.We however,do not introduce it as new class here for Cystofilobasidiales,as DNA sequences from these taxa are not from their respective types and thus await further studies.Divergence times for Exobasidiomycetes,Cantharellales,Gomphales and Hysterangiales were obtained based on limited species sequences in molecular dating study.More comprehensive phylogenetic studies on those four taxa are needed in the future because our ML analysis based on wider sampling, shows they are not monophyletic groups. In general, the six-gene phylogenies are in agreement with the phyloproteomics tree except for the placements of Wallemiomycotina, orders Amylocorticiales,Auriculariales,Cantharellales,Geastrales,Sebacinales and Trechisporales from Agaricomycetes. These conflicting placements in the six-gene phylogeny vs the phyloproteomics tree are discussed. This leads to future perspectives for assessing gene orthology and problems in deciphering taxon ranks using divergence times. | Rui-Lin Zhao Guo-Jie Li Santiago Sanchez-Ramirez Matt Stata Zhu-Liang Yang Gang Wu Yu-Cheng Dai Shuang-Hui He Bao-Kai Cui Jun-Liang Zhou Fang Wu Mao-Qiang He Jean-Marc Moncalvo Kevin D.Hyde | 2017 | Fungal Diversity2017,,3: | 4
Monograph of Carex section Schiedeanae (Cyperaceae): Unexpected taxonomic and ecological diversity in a Mexican sedge clade显示文摘Carex section Schiedeanae(subg.Euthyceras)has long been thought to comprise at most five species of Mexican sedges. Our morphological studies in the field and herbarium, however, supported by more recent DNA sequencing work, demonstrate that the section is,in fact, three times as species-rich,making it one of the largest sections in Mexico. Its 15 species range from Chihuahua to Tamaulipas south to Veracruz and Oaxaca;a single species,Carex muriculata, extends into the United States. The section has unusual inflorescences with simple(except in Carex complexa),uniformly androgynous, sessile spikes, utriculiform dadoprophylls, and perigynia with a unique combination of pubescence types composed of papillae;unicellular, simple hairs;and(in many species)multicellular tubercles. We recognize five previously described species(C.muriculata,Carex perstricta,Carex schiedeana,Carex stellata, and Carex vizarronensis)and describe 10 additional species(Carex angustilepis,Carex cabralii,Carex complexa,Carex dentata,Carex gypsophila,Carex mesophila,Carex paneroi,Carex planilamina,Carex revoluta, and Carex tehuacana). We have expanded the morphological features used in the section to include particularly anther, staminate scale, and style features, and more detailed micromorphology of the perigynia, especially indumentum. In total,13 of the 15 species recognized herein, with a total of 32 individuals, were examined for ETS and ITS for phylogenetic reconstruction.Phylogenetically, the xeric species(plus C.paneroi)form a grade leading to a clade of the more mesophytic species adapted to forest understories, plus the unique cliff dwelling C.complexa. | Anton A.Reznicek Maria del Socorro Gonzalez-Elizondo Marlene Hahn Mira Gamer Andrew L.Hipp | 2021 | Journal of Systematics and Evolution2021,59,4: | 4

Phylogenetic and morphological significance of an overlooked flying squirrel(Pteromyini,Rodentia)from the eastern Himalayas with the description of a new genus显示文摘The flying squirrels(Pteromyini,Rodentia)are the most diverse and widely distributed group of gliding mammals.Taxonomic boundaries and relationships within flying squirrels remain an area of active research in mammalogy. The discovery of new specimens of Pteromys(Hylopetes)leonardi Thomas,1921,previously considered a synonym of Hylopetes alboniger,in Yunnan Province,China allowed a morphological and genetic reassessment of the status of this taxon.Phylogenetic reconstruction was implemented using sequences of two mitochondrial(12S ribosomal RNA and 16S ribosomal RNA)and one nuclear(interphotoreceptor retinoid-binding protein)gene fragments.Morphological assessments involved examinations of features preserved on skins, skulls, and penises of museum specimens, supplemented with principal component analysis of craniometric data.Together these assessments revealed that this taxon should be recognized not only as a distinct species, but should also be placed within a new genus, described here as Priapomys gen.nov. | Quan Li Feng Cheng Stephen M.Jackson Kristofer M.Helgen Wen-Yu Song Shao-Ying Liu Daosavanh Sanamxay Song Li Fei Li Yun Xiong Jun Sun Hong-Jiao Wang Xue-Long Jiang | 2021 | Zoological Research2021,42,4: | 3
The Colletotrichum orbiculare species complex: Important pathogens of field crops and weeds显示文摘Colletotrichum orbiculare causes anthracnose of Cucurbitaceae and is phylogenetically closely related to pathogens of several other herbaceous hosts belonging to the Asteraceae,Fabaceae and Malvaceae. Most of them are known for their hemibiotrophic infection strategy and as destructive pathogens either of field crops or weeds. In order to study the phylogenetic relationships of these fungi,a multilocus analysis(ITS,GAPDH,CHS-1,HIS3,ACT,TUB2,GS)of 42 strains of C.orbiculare and related species was conducted. The analysis resulted in nine clades that confirmed the four species previously known as belonging to this species complex,C.lindemuthianum,C.malvarum,C.orbiculare and C.trifolii, and recognised four new species from weeds, namely C.bidentis,C.sidae,C.spinosum and C.tebeestii.The name C.orbiculare itself is widely used in plant pathology and science, but is invalid according to current nomenclatural rules. Therefore we described a new species with the same epithet and a type specimen that agrees with our current understanding of this species, and is linked to a living culture.Following the recent epitypification of C.lindemuthianum,we chose appropriate specimens with associated strains to serve as epitypes of C.malvarum and C.trifolii, and selected an authentic specimen of C.trifolii as lectotype. | Ulrike Damm Paul F.Cannon Fang Liu Robert W.Barreto Eduardo Guatimosim Pedro W.Crous | 2013 | Fungal Diversity2013,,4: | 3
Comparative Spermatology of Protura and Its Significance on Proturan Systematics显示文摘A comparative study on the ultrastructure of the spermatozoa of 20 species of Protura belonging to 16 genera and 8 families was conducted. The most remarkable characteristics are the unexpected diversity of the spermatozoa, both in shape and fine structure. In general they can be grouped into two main categories: long flagellate spermatozoa and short aflagellate ones. Accordingly two sperm evolutionary lines of the spermatozoa were obtained: one trends towards the complicated acrosome structure and the increased number of axonemal doublets, and the other line is to shorten cell form and simplify sperm structure. The results indicate that the spermatozoa of Hesperentomon may be the primitive type, and the spermatozoa of Eosentomids probably represent the most evolved type. A sperm evolutionary tree was drawn according to the apomorphies of proturan spermatozoa. The phylogenetic position of Protura was also discussed. | 尹文英 薛鲁征 | 1993 | Science China Chemistry1993,36,5: | 3
The ApMat marker can resolve Colletotrichum species: a case study with Mangifera indica显示文摘Anthracnose disease caused by the Colletotrichum gloeosporioides species complex is a major problem worldwide. In this study,we investigated the phylogenetic diversity of 207 Indian Colletotrichum isolates, associated with symptomatic and asymptomatic tissues of mango, belonging to this species complex.Phylogenetic analyses were performed based on a 6-gene dataset(act,cal,chs1,gapdh,ITS and tub2),followed by ApMat sequence-analysis.The ApMat-based phylogeny was found to be superior as it provided finer resolution in most of the species-level clades.Importantly, the ApMat marker identified seven lineages within C.siamense sensu lato, including C.jasmini-sambac,C.hymenocallidis,C.melanocaulon,C.siamense sensu stricto and three undesignated, potentially novel lineages. In this study,C.fragariae sensu stricto,C.fructicola,C.jasmini-sambac,C.melanocaulon and five undesignated, potentially novel lineages were found to be associated with mango tissues. There is a need to develop a consensus among mycologists as to which genes should be used to define and delimit a Colletotrichum species and in the mean time mycologists should voluntarily restrain from describing new species based on inadequate datasets. | Gunjan Sharma Navinder Kumar Bevan S.Weir Kevin D.Hyde Belle Damodara Shenoy | 2013 | Fungal Diversity2013,,4: | 3
