STABILITY OF GRAVEL BED RIVERS BASED ON SIEVE ANALYSIS DATA

Streams in the middle mountain region with typical slopes of I =0.05%to0.8% as well as those with distinct step-pool structures and slopes of I>4% and I ≤ 10% were investigated. Most of the experiments were conducted in the Theodor-Rehbock Laboratory. However, same of the results that had been obtained under laboratory conditions could be verrified with existing field data.
