| 2 | Optimization and Simulation of Plastic Injection Process using Genetic Algorithm and Moldflow显示文摘The use of plastic-based products is continuously increasing. The increasing demands for thinner products, lower production costs, yet higher product quality has triggered an increase in the number of research projects on plastic molding processes. An important branch of such research is focused on mold cooling system. Conventional cooling systems are most widely used because they are easy to make by using conventional machining processes.However, the non-uniform cooling processes are considered as one of their weaknesses. Apart from the conventional systems, there are also conformal cooling systems that are designed for faster and more uniform plastic mold cooling. In this study, the conformal cooling system is applied for the production of bowl-shaped product made of PP AZ564. Optimization is conducted to initiate machine setup parameters, namely, the melting temperature, injection pressure, holding pressure and holding time. The genetic algorithm method and Moldflow were used to optimize the injection process parameters at a minimum cycle time. It is found that, an optimum injection molding processes could be obtained by setting the parameters to the following values: T_M= 180 °C; P_(inj)= 20 MPa;P_(hold)= 16 MPa and t_(hold)= 8 s, with a cycle time of 14.11 s. Experiments using the conformal cooling system yielded an average cycle time of 14.19 s. The studied conformal cooling system yielded a volumetric shrinkage of 5.61% and the wall shear stress was found at 0.17 MPa.The difference between the cycle time obtained through simulations and experiments using the conformal cooling system was insignificant(below 1%). | 4 | Effect of probiotic Lactobacillus plantarum Dad-13 powder consumption on the gut microbiota and intestinal health of overweight adults显示文摘BACKGROUND Shifting on lifestyle,diet,and physical activity contributed on increasing number of obese people around the world.Multiple factors influence the development of obesity.Some research suggested that gut microbiota(GM)plays an important role in nutrient absorption and energy regulation of individuals,thus affecting their nutritional status.Report of Indonesia Basic Health Research showed that the prevalence of obesity in every province tended to increase.Although the root cause of obesity is excessive calorie intake compared with expenditure,the differences in gut microbial ecology between healthy and obese humans may affect energy homeostasis.GM affect body weight,especially obesity.Probiotics that are consumed while alive and able to colonize in the intestine are expected to increase the population of good bacteria,especially Bifidobacteria and Lactobacilli,and suppress pathogens such as Enterobacteriaceae and Staphylococcus.The strain of L.plantarum Dad-13 has been demonstrated to survive and colonize in the gastrointestinal tract of healthy Indonesian adults who consume fermented milk containing L.plantarum Dad-13.The consumption of probiotic L.plantarum Dad-13 powder decreased E.coli and non-E.coli coliform bacteria in school-aged children in Indonesia.L.plantarum is a dominant bacterium in the average Indonesian’s GM.For this reason,this bacterium is probably a more suitable probiotic for Indonesians.AIM To determine the effect of the consumption of indigenous probiotic Lactobacillus plantarum Dad-13 powder in overweight adults in Yogyakarta(Indonesia).METHODS Sixty overweight volunteers with a body mass index(BMI)equal to or greater than 25 consume indigenous probiotic powder L.plantarum Dad-13(2×109 CFU/gram/sachet)for 90 d.The study was a randomized,double-blind,placebocontrolled study.The volunteers filled in a diary on a daily basis,which consisted of questions on study product intake(only during ingestion period),other food intake,number of bowel movements,fecal quality(consistency and color),any medications received,and any symptom of discomfort,such as diarrhea,constipation,vomiting,gassing,sensation of illness,etc.Fecal samples and the subjects’diaries were collected on the morning of day 10+1,which was marked as the end of the baseline period and the start of the ingestion period.During the ingestion period(from day 11 to day 101),several parameters to measure and analyze the results included body weight and height(once a month),the lipid profile,GM analysis using MiSeq,short-chain fatty acid(SCFA)analysis using gas chromatography,and the measurement of fecal pH using a pH meter.RESULTS The consumption of indigenous probiotic powder L.plantarum Dad-13 caused the average body weight and BMI of the probiotic group to decrease from 84.54±17.64 kg to 83.14±14.71 kg and 33.10±6.15 kg/m2 to 32.57±5.01 kg/m2,respectively.No significant reduction of body weight and BMI in the placebo group was observed.An analysis of the microbiota showed that the number of Bacteroidetes,specifically Prevotella,increased significantly,while that of Firmicutes significantly decreased.No significant change in lipid profile in both groups was found.Also,no significant change in SCFAs(e.g.,butyrate,propionate,acetic acid)and pH level was found after the consumption of the probiotic.CONCLUSION No significant differences in pH before and after ingestion were observed in both the probiotic and placebo groups as well as in the lipid profile of both cholesterol and triglyceride,high-density lipoprotein(HDL),low-density lipoprotein(LDL),and the LDL/HDL ratio.In addition,no significant changes in the concentration of SCFAs(e.g.,acetic acid,propionate,and butyrate)were found after consumption.Interestingly,a significant decrease in body weight and BMI(P<0.05)was determined in the treatment group.An analysis of GM shows that L.plantarum Dad-13 caused the Firmicutes population to decrease and the Bacteroidetes population(especially Prevotella)to increase. | Endang Sutriswati Rahayu Mariyatun Mariyatun Nancy Eka Putri Manurung Pratama Nur Hasan Phatthanaphong Therdtatha Riko Mishima Husnita Komalasari Nurul Ain Mahfuzah Fathyah Hanum Pamungkaningtyas Wahyu Krisna Yoga Dina Aulia Nurfiana Stefanie Yolanda Liwan Mohammad Juffrie Agung Endro Nugroho Tyas Utami | 2021 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2021,27,1: | 6 |
| 5 | Hesperidin as a preventive resistance agent in MCF-7 breast cancer cells line resistance to doxorubicin显示文摘Objective:To evaluate of hesperidin to overcome resistance of doxorubicin in MCF-7 resistant doxorubicin cells(MCF-7/Dox)in cytotoxicity apoptosis and P-glycoprotein(Pgp)expression in combination with doxorubicin.Methods:The cytotoxic properties.50%inhibition concentration(IC_(50))and its combination with doxorubicin in MCF-7 cell lines resistant to doxorubicin(MCF-7/Dox)cells were determined using MTT assay.Apoptosis induction was examined by double staining assay using ethidium bromide-acridine orange.Immunocytochemistry assay was performed to determine the level and localization of Pgp.Results:Single treatment of hesperidin showed cytotoxic activity on MCF-7/Dox cells with IC_(50)value of 11μmol/L.Thus,combination treatment from hesperidin and doxorubicin showed addictive and antagonist effect(CI>1.0).Hesperidin did not increase the apoptotic induction,but decreased the Pgp expressions level when combined with doxorubicin in low concentration.Conclusions:Hesperidin has cytotoxic effect on MCF-7/Dox cells with IC_(50)of 11μmol/L.Hesperidin did not increased the apoptotic induction combined with doxorubicin.Cochemotherapy application of doxorubicin and hesperidin on MCF-7/Dox cells showed synergism effect through inhibition of Pgp expression. | Rifki Febriansah Dyaningtyas Dewi P.P. | 6 | Serum testosterone and prostate-specific antigen levels are major risk factors for prostatic volume increase among benign prostatic hyperplasia patients显示文摘Objective:Benign prostatic hyperplasia(BPH)is one of the most common diseases found among elderly men.Even though multiple risk factors of BPH have been identified in the past,the risk factors which have a direct impact on prostate volume have not been identified.In this study,we aim to determine the most significant contributing risk factors to prostate volume enlargement by analyzing possible associated risk factors previously studied.Methods:This is a quantitative study with an analytical observational design,performed using a retrospective cohort approach.Total sampling was performed on 83 patients who underwent transurethral resection of the prostate(TURP)in Sanglah General Hospital from January to February 2019.Bivariate analysis is performed to examine each variable's association with prostate volume followed by a multivariate analysis.All variables were reassessed with path analysis to measure the direct effects,indirect effects,and total effects on prostate volume.Results:Bivariate analysis shows that serum testosterone(R=0.208;p=0.059)and prostate-specific antigen(PSA)level(R=0.626;p=0.001)have a significant association with prostate volume.Multivariate analysis shows that serum PSA(B=1.4;p=0.001;95%confidence interval[95%CI]=1.039-1.770)and testosterone(B=0.024;p=0.005;95%CI=0.008-0.041)levels are significant among all the analyzed risk factors.There is a significant and strong effect of PSA to prostate volume(c=0.636;p=0.001)whereas testosterone has a significant albeit weak effect to prostate volume(c=0.246;p=0.009)based on the total effect of the path analysis.Conclusion:Serum testosterone and PSA levels are significantly associated with prostatic volume increase among BPH patients. | Gede Wirya Kusuma Duarsa Yudit Anastasia Sari Anak Agung Gde Oka Kadek Budi Santosa I Wayan Yudiana Pande Made Wisnu Tirtayasa Ida Bagus Putra Pramana Yudhistira Pradnyan Kloping | 2021 | Asian Journal of Urology2021,8,3: | 3 |
| 7 | The Use of Single-Phase Immersion Cooling by Using Two Types of Dielectric Fluid for Data Center Energy Savings显示文摘Data centers are recognized as one of the most important aspects of the fourth industrial revolution since conventional data centers are inefficient and have dependency on high energy consumption,in which the cooling is responsible for 40%of the usage.Therefore,this research proposes the immersion cooling method to solving the high energy consumption of data centers by cooling its component using two types of dielectric fluids.Four stages of experimentalmethods are used,such as fluid types,cooling effectiveness,optimization,and durability.Furthermore,benchmark software is used to measure the CPU maximum work with the temperature data performed for 24 h.The results of this study show that the immersion cooling reduces 13℃ lower temperature than the conventional cooling method which means it saves more energy consumption in the data center.The most optimum variable used to decrease the temperature is 1.5 lpm of flow rate and 800 rpm of fan rotation.Furthermore,the cooling performance of the dielectric fluids shows that the mineral oil(MO)is better than the virgin coconut oil(VCO).In durability experiment,there are no components damage after five months immersed in the fluid. | Nugroho Agung Pambudi Awibi Muhamad Yusuf Alfan Sarifudin | 2022 | Energy Engineering2022,119,1: | 2 |

| 18 | Identification and quantification of flavonoids in Carica papaya leaf and peroxynitrite-scavenging activity显示文摘Objective: To characterize the types, contents, and peroxynitrite-scavenging activities of flavonoids in the leaf of Carica papaya(C. papaya).Methods: Chromatographic and spectroscopic techniques along with high performance liquid chromatography quantitative analysis and peroxynitrite-scavenging assay were performed to isolate and quantify flavonoid compounds in the flavonoid-rich fraction(Bu OH fraction) derived from Me OH extract of C. papaya leaves and evaluate their peroxynitrite-scavenging activities.Results: Seven flavonoids were isolated from the leaves of C. papaya, including quercetin 3-(2~G-rhamnosylrutinoside), kaempferol 3-(2~G-rhamnosylrutinoside), quercetin 3-rutinoside, myricetin 3-rhamnoside, kaempferol 3-rutinoside, quercetin, and kaempferol. All of the substances exhibited potent activities on peroxynitrite scavenging(IC50 4.15 mmol/L), which were stronger than the positive control, L-penicillamine(6.90 mmol/L). | 19 | Low expression of vascular endothelial growth factor and high serum level of cyclic guanine monophosphate as the risk factors of femoral head osteonecrosis in alcohol-exposed Wistar rat显示文摘Purpose:Severe damage to the femoral head in patients with osteonecrosis has a high impact on morbidity.Despite early diagnosis,the treatment outcome is still unsatisfactory.This study aimed to explore the expression of vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)and cyclic guanine monophosphate(cGMP)serum level as the risk factors of femoral head osteonecrosis in alcohol-exposed Wistar rats.Methods:This was an exper imental study using randomized post-test only control group design,with samples using 10-14 weeks Wistar male rats.Rats were then divided into 6 groups:3 groups without intervention,and 3 groups with intervention using 40%alcohol given perorally.Each one group from intervention and control group was euthanized by the end of the week for 3 consecutive weeks.Proximal femurs were examined under microscope for osteonecrosis,immunohistochemically for VEGF,and blood serum for cGMP levels.Results:VEGF expression in the femoral head of alcohol-exposed Wistar rats was lower than those not exposed to alcohol(p<0.005).Blood serum cGMP levels of alcohol-exposed Wistar rats were higher than those not exposed to alcohol(p<0.005).The number of necrotic osteocytes in the femoral head of Wistar rats exposed to alcohol was greater than those not exposed to alcohol(p<0.005).There are significant differences between VEGF,cGMP levels,and number of necrotic osteocytes in the control group and treatment at 1st,2nd'and 3rd week(p<0.005).Conclusions:Based on the result of this study,VEGF and cGMP may be considered as diagnostic bio-markers for alcohol-induced femoral head osteonecrosis. | I Ketut Suyasa Anak Agung Wiradewi Lestari | 2020 | Chinese Journal of Traumatology2020,23,2: | 1 |
