| 1 | 在在印度的心血管的风险因素的地区性的变化: 印度心手表显示文摘 Cardiovascular disease(CVD) is an important cause of mortality and morbidity in India.Mortality statistics and morbidity surveys indicate substantial regional variations in CVD prevalence and mortality rates.Data from the Registrar General of India reported greater ageadjusted cardiovascular mortality in southern and eastern states of the country.Coronary heart disease(CHD) mortality is greater in south India while stroke is more common in the eastern Indian states.CHD prevalence is higher in urban Indian populations while stroke mortality is similar in urban and rural regions.Case-control studies in India have identified that the common major risk factors account for more than 90% of incident myocardial infarctions and stroke. The case-control INTERHEART and INTERSTROKE studies reported that hypertension, lipid abnormalities, smoking, obesity, diabetes, sedentary lifestyle, low fruit and vegetable intake, and psychosocial stress are as important in India as in other populations of the world.Individual studies have reported that there are substantial regional variations in risk factors in India. At a macro-level these regional variations in risk factors explain some of the regional differences in CVD mortality. However, there is need to study the prevalence of multiple cardiovascular risk factors in different regions of India and to correlate them with variations in CVD mortality using a uniform protocol. There is also a need to determine the 'causes of the causes' or fundamental determinants of these risk factors. The India Heart Watch study has been designed to study socioeconomic, anthropometric and biochemical risk factors in urban populations in different regions of the country in order to identify regional differences. | Rajeev Gupta Soneil Guptha Krishna Kumar Sharma Arvind Gupta Prakash Deedwania | 2012 | World Journal of Cardiology2012,4,4: | 3 |

| Rohit T. | 10 | High-energy ion treatments of amorphous As_(40)Se_(60) thin films for optical applications显示文摘The treatment of 100 MeV Ag swift-heavy ion(SHI) irradiation with five different fluences(3 1010, 1 1011, 3 1011, 1 1012, and3 1012ions/cm2) was used to design optical and structural properties of amorphous(a-) As40Se60 chalcogenide thin films. Swanepoel method was applied on transmission measurements to determine the changes in optical bandgap, Tauc parameter and linear optical parameters, i.e., linear optical absorption, extinction coefficient and linear refractive index. Dispersion of the material was determined by Wemple–DiDomenico relation.Changes in nonlinear optical parameters of third-order optical susceptibility and nonlinear refractive index were determined using semi-empirical relations. Changes in surface morphology of the films were investigated using SEM observation, which indicated that fluence 3 1012ions/cm2was upper threshold limit for these films for ion treatment. It is observed that optical bandgap reduces from 1.76 eV to 1.64 eV, and nonlinear refractive index increases from 1.31 10 10[esu] to 1.74 10 10[esu]. Linear refractive index initially increases from 2.80 to 3.52(for fluence3 1010ions/cm2) and then keeps decreasing. The observed changes in optical properties upon irradiation were explained in terms of structural rearrangements by Raman measurement. The study was compiled with the previous literature to propose SHI as an effective optical engineering technique to achieve desired changes according to the need of optical/photonic applications. | Rashmi Chauhan Arvind Tripathi Krishna Kant Srivastava | 2014 | Progress in Natural Science:Materials International2014,24,3: | 0 |

| 12 | Unveiling the silent link:Normal-tension glaucoma's enigmatic bond with cardiac blood flow显示文摘This comprehensive review embarks on a captivating journey into the complex relationship between cardiology and normal-tension glaucoma(NTG),a condition that continues to baffle clinicians and researchers alike.NTG,characterized by optic nerve damage and visual field loss despite normal intraocular pressure, has long puzzled clinicians. One emerging perspective suggests that alterations in ocular blood flow, particularly within the optic nerve head, may play a pivotal role in its pathogenesis. While NTG shares commonalities with its high-tension counterpart, its unique pathogenesis and potential ties to cardiovascular health make it a fascinating subject of exploration. It navigates through the complex web of vascular dysregulation, blood pressure and perfusion pressure, neurovascular coupling, and oxidative stress, seeking to uncover the hidden threads that tie the heart and eyes together in NTG.This review explores into the intricate mechanisms connecting cardiovascular factors to NTG,shedding light on how cardiac dynamics can influence ocular health, particularly in cases where intraocular pressure remains within the normal range.NTG's enigmatic nature, often characterized by seemingly contradictory risk factors and clinical profiles, underscores the need for a holistic approach to patient care.Drawing parallels to cardiac health,we examine into the shared vascular terrain connecting the heart and the eyes.Cardiovascular factors, including systemic blood flow, endothelial dysfunction, and microcirculatory anomalies, may exert a profound influence on ocular perfusion, impacting the delicate balance within the optic nerve head.By elucidating the subtle clues and potential associations between cardiology and NTG,this review invites clinicians to consider a broader perspective in their evaluation and management of this elusive condition. As the understanding of these connections evolves,so too may the prospects for early diagnosis and tailored interventions, ultimately enhancing the quality of life for those living with NTG. | Prasanna Venkatesh Ramesh Arvind Kumar Morya Ajanya K Aradhya Pavithra Pannerselvam Sai Thaejesvi Gopalakrishnan Shruthy Vaishali Ramesh Aji Kunnath Devadas Navaneeth Krishna | 2024 | World Journal of Cardiology2024,16,1: | 0 |
