在在印度的心血管的风险因素的地区性的变化: 印度心手表显示文摘 Cardiovascular disease(CVD) is an important cause of mortality and morbidity in India.Mortality statistics and morbidity surveys indicate substantial regional variations in CVD prevalence and mortality rates.Data from the Registrar General of India reported greater ageadjusted cardiovascular mortality in southern and eastern states of the country.Coronary heart disease(CHD) mortality is greater in south India while stroke is more common in the eastern Indian states.CHD prevalence is higher in urban Indian populations while stroke mortality is similar in urban and rural regions.Case-control studies in India have identified that the common major risk factors account for more than 90% of incident myocardial infarctions and stroke. The case-control INTERHEART and INTERSTROKE studies reported that hypertension, lipid abnormalities, smoking, obesity, diabetes, sedentary lifestyle, low fruit and vegetable intake, and psychosocial stress are as important in India as in other populations of the world.Individual studies have reported that there are substantial regional variations in risk factors in India. At a macro-level these regional variations in risk factors explain some of the regional differences in CVD mortality. However, there is need to study the prevalence of multiple cardiovascular risk factors in different regions of India and to correlate them with variations in CVD mortality using a uniform protocol. There is also a need to determine the 'causes of the causes' or fundamental determinants of these risk factors. The India Heart Watch study has been designed to study socioeconomic, anthropometric and biochemical risk factors in urban populations in different regions of the country in order to identify regional differences. | Rajeev Gupta Soneil Guptha Krishna Kumar Sharma Arvind Gupta Prakash Deedwania | 2012 | World Journal of Cardiology2012,4,4: | 3

Molybdenum disulfide-graphene van der Waals heterostructures as stable and sensitive electrochemical sensing platforms显示文摘Atomic layers are sought after for molecular sensing due to their available high surface interaction area, and different types of monolayers are attempted for sensing in the recent past. However, their chemical stability towards these molecules is questioned in recent times and alternate methods need to be developed to circumvent such issues, while maintaining high sensitivity. Here, the van der Waals(vdWs)stacks of molybdenum disulfide(MoS_(2))and graphene are shown for their stable electrochemical sensing towards ascorbic acid(AA)and dopamine(DA)-two important biomolecules.AA is known to chemically react with MoS_(2) leading to unstable sensing platform, while here the graphene coverage is shown to protect the MoS_(2) even from low-energy plasma exposure while keeping the same high sensitivity.Upon proving the graphene-based protection of the sensor, such a sensing platform is shown for its applicability in DA sensing, where it is found to give a linear response in a wide range of concentrations(2.5 to 600μmol·L^(−1))and even selective sensing in the presence of AA.Such a stack is found to be not merely giving protection to the beneath MoS_(2) layer but also the inter-layer charge transfer due to work function differences being beneficial in bringing fast and high sensitivity to the next-generation sensors and point-of-care devices. | Stelbin Peter Figerez Kiran Kumar Tadi Krishna Rani Sahoo Rahul Sharma Ravi K.Biroju Aleena Gigi KAiswarya Anand Golap Kalita Tharangattu N.Narayanan | 2020 | Tungsten2020,2,4: | 1

PepBind: A Comprehensive Database and Computational Tool for Analysis of Protein-peptide Interactions显示文摘Protein-peptide interactions, where one partner is a globular protein(domain) and the other is a flexible linear peptide, are key components of cellular processes predominantly in signaling and regulatory networks, hence are prime targets for drug design. To derive the details of the protein-peptide interaction mechanism is often a cumbersome task, though it can be made easier with the availability of specifc databases and tools. The Peptide Binding Protein Database(PepBind) is a curated and searchable repository of the structures, sequences and experimental observations of 3100 protein-peptide complexes. The web interface contains a computational tool, protein inter-chain interaction(PICI),for computing several types of weak or strong interactions at the protein-peptide interaction interface and visualizing the identifed interactions between residues in Jmol viewer. This initial database release focuses on providing protein-peptide interface information along with structure and sequence information for protein-peptide complexes deposited in the Protein Data Bank(PDB).Structures in PepBind are classifed based on their cellular activity.More than 40% of the structures in the database are found to be involved in different regulatory pathways and nearly 20% in the immune system. These data indicate the importance of protein- peptide complexes in the regulation of cellular processes.PepBind is freely accessible at http:// pepbind.bicpu.edu.in/. | Arindam Atanu Das Om Prakash Sharma Muthuvel Suresh Kumar Ramadas Krishna Premendu P. | 9 | BRUCK FORMULA FOR A PERTURBED LIPSCHITZIAN ITERATION OF LIPSCHITZ PSEUDOCONTRACTIVE MAPS显示文摘The solution to evolution equations has developed an independent theory within nonlinear analysis dealing with the existence and approximation of such solution(fixed point) of pseudocontractive operators and its variants. The object is to introduce a perturbed iteration method for proving the convergence of sequence of Lipschitzian pseudocontractive mapping using approximate fixed point technique. This iteration can be ued for nonlinear operators which are more general than Lipschitzian pseudocontractive operator and Bruck iteration fails for proving their convergence. Our results generalize the results of Chidume and Zegeye. | Krishna Kumar B. | 10 | Genome-Wide Analysis of von Willebrand Factor A Gene Family in Rice for Its Role in Imparting Biotic Stress Resistance with Emphasis on Rice Blast Disease显示文摘von Willebrand factor A(vWA)genes are well characterized in humans except for few BONZAI genes, but the vWA genes are least explored in plants.Considering the novelty and vital role of vWA genes, this study aimed at characterization of vWA superfamily in rice.Rice genome was found to have 40 vWA genes distributed across all the 12 chromosomes, and 20 of the 40 vWA genes were unique while the remaining shared large fragment similarities with each other, indicating gene duplication. In addition to vWA domain,vWA proteins possess other different motifs or domains, such as ubiquitin interacting motif in protein degradation pathway, and RING finger in protein-protein interaction.Expression analysis of vWA genes in available expression data suggested that they probably function in biotic and abiotic stress responses including hormonal response and signaling. The frequency of transposon elements in the entire 3K rice germplasm was negligible except for 9 vWA genes, indicating the importance of these genes in rice.Structural and functional diversities showed that the vWA genes in a blast-resistant rice variety Tetep had huge variations compared to blast-susceptible rice varieties HP2216 and Nipponbare.qRT-PCR analysis of vWA genes in Magnaporthe oryzae infected rice tissues indicated OsvWA9,OsvWA36,OsvWA37 and OsvWA18 as the optimal candidate genes for disease resistance. This is the first attempt to characterize vWA gene family in plant species. | Suhas Gorakh KARKUTE Vishesh KUMAR Mohd TASLEEM Dwijesh Chandra MISHRA Krishna Kumar CHATURVEDI Anil RAI Amitha Mithra SEVANTHI Kishor GAIKWAD Tilak Raj SHARMA Amolkumar U.SOLANKE | 2022 | Rice science2022,29,4: | 0
Surveying the genomic landscape of silage-quality traits in maize(Zea mays L.)显示文摘Despite the longstanding importance of silage as a critical feed source for ruminants, its quality improvement has been largely overlooked.Although numerous quantitative trait loci(QTL)and genes affecting silage quality in maize have been reported, only a few have been effectively incorporated into breeding programs.Addressing this gap,the present study undertook a comprehensive meta-QTL(MQTL)analysis involving 523 QTL associated with silage-quality traits collected from 14 published studies.Of the 523 QTL,405 were projected onto a consensus map comprising 62,424 genetic markers, resulting in the identification of 60 MQTL and eight singletons. The average confidence interval(CI)of the MQTL was 3.9-fold smaller than that of the source QTL.Nine of the 60 identified MQTL were classified as breeder’s MQTL owing to their small CIs,involvement of more QTL,and large contribution to phenotypic variation.One-third of the MQTL co-localized with DNA marker-trait associations identified in previous genomewide association mapping studies.A set of 78 high-confidence candidate genes influencing silage quality were identified in the MQTL regions. These genes and associated markers may advance marker-assisted breeding for maize silage quality. | Jatin Sharma Shubham Sharma Krishna Sai Karnatam Om Prakash Raigar Chayanika Lahkar Dinesh Kumar Saini Sushil Kumar Alla Singh Abhijit Kumar Das Priti Sharma Ramesh Kumar | 2023 | The Crop Journal2023,11,6: | 0

Using Susceptible-Exposed-Infectious-Recovered Model to Forecast Coronavirus Outbreak显示文摘The Coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)outbreak was rst discovered in Wuhan,China, and it has since spread to more than 200 countries. The World Health Organization proclaimed COVID-19 a public health emergency of international concern on January 30,2020.Normally,a quickly spreading infection that could jeopardize the well-being of countless individuals requires prompt action to forestall the malady in a timely manner.COVID19 is a major threat worldwide due to its ability to rapidly spread. No vaccines are yet available for COVID-19.The objective of this paper is to examine the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic, specically studying Hubei Province,China;Taiwan;South Korea;Japan;and Italy,in terms of exposed,infected,recovered/deceased,original conrmed cases, and predict conrmed cases in specic countries by using the susceptible-exposed-infectious-recovered model to predict the future outbreak of COVID-19.We applied four differential equations to calculate the number of conrmed cases in each country, plotted them on a graph, and then applied polynomial regression with the logic of multiple linear regression to predict the further spread of the pandemic. We also compared the calculated and predicted cases of conrmed population and plotted them in the graph, where we could see that the lines of calculated and predicted cases do intersect with each other to give the perfect true results for the future spread of the virus. This study considered the cases from 22 January 2020 to 25 April 2020. | Debabrata Dansana Raghvendra Kumar Arupa Parida Rohit Sharma Janmejoy Das Adhikari Hiep Van Le Binh Thai Pham Krishna Kant Singh Biswajeet Pradhan | 2021 | Computers, Materials & Continua2021,,5: | 0
