1Differential gene expression analysis of ‘Chili’ (Pyrus bretschneideri) fruit pericarp with two types of bagging treatments显示文摘Preharvest bagging is a simple,grower-friendly and safe physical protection technique commonly applied to many fruits,and the application of different fruit bags can have various effects.To explore the molecular mechanisms underlying the fruit quality effects of different bagging treatments,digital gene expression(DGE)profiling of bagged and unbagged‘Chili’(Pyrus bretschneideri Rehd.)pear pericarp during development was performed.Relative to unbagged fruit,a total of 3022 and 769 differentially expressed genes(DEGs)were detected in the polyethylene(PE)-bagged and non-woven fabric-bagged fruit,respectively.DEGs annotated as photosynthesis-antenna proteins and photosynthesis metabolism pathway were upregulated in non-woven fabric-bagged fruit but downregulated in the PE-bagged fruit.Non-woven fabric bagging inhibited lignin synthesis in‘Chili’pear pericarp by downregulating DEGs involved in phenylpropanoid biosynthesis;consequently,the fruit lenticels in non-woven fabric-bagged fruit were smaller than those in the other treatments.The results indicate that the non-woven fabric bagging method has a positive effect on the appearance of‘Chili’pear fruit but neither of the two bagging treatments is conducive to the accumulation of soluble sugar.Yuling Wang Xinfu Zhang Ran Wang Yingxin Bai Chenglian Liu Yongbing Yuan Yingjie Yang Shaolan Yang 2017Horticulture Research2017,4,1:6
2Roles of NPAS2 in circadian rhythm and disease显示文摘NPAS2,a circadian rhythm gene encoding the neuronal PAS domain protein 2(NPAS2),has received widespread attention because of its complex functions in cells and diverse roles in disease progression,especially tumorigenesis.NPAS2 binds with DNA at E-box sequences and forms heterodimers with another circadian protein,brain and muscle ARNT-like protein 1(BMAL1).Nucleotide variations of the NPAS2 gene have been shown to influence the overall survival and risk of death of cancer patients,and differential expression of NPAS2 has been linked to patient outcomes in breast cancer,lung cancer,non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma,and other diseases.Here,we review the latest advances in our understanding of NPAS2 with the aim of drawing attention to its potential clinical applications and prospects.Lu Peng Gaigai Bai Yingxin Pang 2021Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2021,53,10:1

5Prevention and Control Test of Semiaphis heraclei in Spring显示文摘[Objectives] The paper was to study the prevention and control effect of botanical pesticides on Semiaphis heraclei at different temperatures. [Methods] When the daily average temperatures in spring were 15 and 20 ℃, the control effects of 0.3% azadirachtin EC 500 times dilution and 0.3% matrine AS 1 000 times dilution on S. heraclei were studied. [Results] When the daily average temperature was 15 ℃, 0.3% azadirachtin EC 500 times dilution had relatively good control effect on S. heraclei, with a long duration. The prevention and control of S. heraclei in spring better controlled the population quantity of S. heraclei fundatrix and reduced the degree of harm. 8Homocysteine impedes neurite outgrowth recovery after intracerebral haemorrhage by downregulating pCAMK2A显示文摘Hyperhomocysteinemia(HHcy)is independently associated with poorer long-term prognosis in patients with intracerebral haemorrhage(ICH);however,the effect and mechanisms of HHcy on ICH are still unclear.Here,we evaluated neurite outgrowth and neurological functional recovery using simulated models of ICH with HHcy in vitro and in vivo.We found that the neurite outgrowth velocity and motor functional recovery in the ICH plus HHcy group were significantly slower than that in the control group,indicating that homocysteine(Hcy)significantly impedes the neurite outgrowth recovery after ICH.Furthermore,phosphoproteomic data and signalome analysis of perihematomal brain tissues suggested that calmodulin-dependent protein kinases 2(CAMK2A)kinase substrate pairs were significantly downregulated in ICH with HHcy compared with autologous blood injection only,both western blot and immunofluorescence staining confirmed this finding.Additionally,upregulation of pCAMK2A significantly increased neurite outgrowth recovery in ICH with HHcy.Collectively,we clarify the mechanism of HHcy-hindered neurite outgrowth recovery,and pCAMK2A may serve as a therapeutic strategy for promoting neurological recovery after ICH.Guangyu Guo Jingfei Yang Wenliang Guo Hong Deng Haihan Yu Shuang Bai Gaigai Li Yingxin Tang Ping Zhang Yuming Xu Chao Pan Zhouping Tang 2023Stroke & Vascular Neurology2023,8,4:0
