1Single-atom catalysts supported on ordered porous materials:Synthetic strategies and applications显示文摘Single-atom catalysts(SACs)are attracting extensive attention due to their incredibly catalytic activity and selectivity,high utilization of metal atoms,and obvious cost reduction.The unique ordered porous materials(OPMs)are promising carriers for stabilizing single atoms due to their large surface areas and uniformly tunable pore sizes.Meantime,the geometric and electronic structures of single-atom metals can be tuned by the interaction between the single-atoms(SAs)and OPMs to enhance the catalytic activity of SACs.The SACs based on OPMs,such as zeolites,metal-organic frameworks,and ordered mesoporous materials,have been developing fast recently.Herein,we review recent advancements on structural feature,synthetic strategy,characterization technique,and catalytic applications of OPMs-based SACs.The opportunities and challenges about SAs/OPMs are also provided to develop the novel catalysts with superior catalytic performances in the future.Kaiwen Xue Yan Mo Baojun Long Wen Wei Changsheng Shan Shaojun Guo Li Niu 2022InfoMat2022,4,6:3

3Laser-driven plasma collider for nuclear studies显示文摘A novel method of initiating nuclear fusion reactions in a full plasma environment was suggested, and a proof-of-concept experiment was carried out with the D t D ! n t3 He reaction. In this new approach, two plasma jets generated by high-intensity lasers collide headon-head. The center-of-mass energy of the nuclei increases accordingly, and therefore, reaction products can be significantly enhanced, especially in the sub-Coulomb barrier ranges. As a result of the fusion reaction, up to 7:6 105 neutrons had been observed. 4On-chip ultrasensitive and rapid hydrogen sensing based on plasmon-induced hot electron-molecule interaction显示文摘Hydrogen energy is a zero-carbon replacement for fossil fuels.However,hydrogen is highly flammable and explosive hence timely sensitive leak detection is crucial.Existing optical sensing techniques rely on complex instruments,while electrical sensing techniques usually operate at high temperatures and biasing condition.In this paper an on-chip plasmonic-catalytic hydrogen sensing concept with a concentration detection limit down to 1 ppm is presented that is based on a metal-insulator-semiconductor(MIS)nanojunction operating at room temperature and zero bias.The sensing signal of the device was enhanced by three orders of magnitude at a one-order of magnitude higher response speed compared to alternative non-plasmonic devices.The excellent performance is attributed to the hydrogen induced interfacial dipole charge layer and the associated plasmonic hot electron modulated photoelectric response.Excellent agreements were achieved between experiment and theoretical calculations based on a quantum tunneling model.Such an on-chip combination of plasmonic optics,photoelectric detection and photocatalysis offers promising strategies for next-generation optical gas sensors that require high sensitivity,low time delay,low cost,high portability and flexibility.Long Wen Zhiwei Sun Qilin Zheng Xianghong Nan Zaizhu Lou Zhong Liu David R.S.Cumming Baojun Li Qin Chen 2023Light(Science & Applications)2023,12,4:1

9SEL1L preserves CD8^(+) T-cell survival and homeostasis by fine-tuning PERK signaling and the IL-15 receptor-mediated mTORC1 axis显示文摘SEL1L-mediated endoplasmic reticulum-associated degradation(ERAD)plays critical roles in controlling protein homeostasis by degrading misfolded or terminal unfolded proteins.However,it remains unclear how SEL1L regulates peripheral T-cell survival and homeostasis.Herein,we found that SEL1L deficiency led to a greatly reduced frequency and number of mature T cells,which was further validated by adoptive transfer experiments or bone marrow chimera experiments,accompanied by the induction of multiple forms of cell death.Furthermore,SEL1L deficiency selectively disrupted naïve CD8+T-cell homeostasis,as indicated by the severe loss of the naïve T-cell subset but an increase in the memory T-cell subset.We also found that SEL1L deficiency fueled mTORC1/c-MYC activation and induced a metabolic shift,which was largely attributable to enhanced expression of the IL-15 receptorαandβchains.Mechanistically,single-cell transcriptomic profiling and biochemical analyses further revealed that Sel1l−/−CD8+T cells harbored excessive ER stress,particularly aberrant activation of the PERK-ATF4-CHOP-Bim pathway,which was alleviated by supplementing IL-7 or IL-15.Importantly,PERK inhibition greatly resolved the survival defects of Sel1l−/−CD8+T cells.In addition,IRE1αdeficiency decreased mTORC1 signaling in Sel1l−/−naïve CD8+T cells by downregulating the IL-15 receptorαchain.Altogether,these observations suggest that the ERAD adaptor molecule SEL1L acts as an important checkpoint for preserving the survival and homeostasis of peripheral T cells by regulating the PERK signaling cascade and IL-15 receptor-mediated mTORC1 axis.Yafeng Gao Wenhui Li Zhenghao Wang Cangang Zhang Yaping He Xiaowei Liu Kexin Tang Weiguo Zhang Qiaoming Long Yong Liu Jinping Zhang Baojun Zhang Lianjun Zhang 2023Cellular & Molecular Immunology2023,20,10:0
10Light-induced thermal convection for collection and removal of carbon nanotubes显示文摘Carbon nanotubes(CNTs)have exhibited immense potential for applications in biology and medicine,and once their intended purpose is fulfilled,the elimination of residual CNTs is essential to avoid negative effects.In this study,we demonstrated the effective collection and simple removal of CNTs dispersed in a suspension via thermal convection.First,a tapered fiber tip with a cone angle and end diameter of 10°and 3μm,respectively,was fabricated via a heating and pulling method.Further,a laser beam with a power and wavelength of 100 mW and 1.55^m,respectively,was launched into the tapered fiber tip,which was placed in a CNT suspension,resulting in the formation of a microbubble on the fiber tip.The temperature gradient on the microbubble and suspension surface induced thermal convection in the suspension,which resulted in the accumulation of CNTs on the fiber tip.The experimentally formed CNT cluster possessed a circular top surface with a diameter of 87 nm and an arched cross-section with a height of 19μm.Furthermore,this CNT cluster was firmly attached to the fiber tip.Therefore,the removal of CNT clusters can be realized by simply removing the fiber tip from the suspension.Moreover,we simulated the thermal convection that caused CNT aggregation.The obtained results indicate that convection near the fiber tip flows toward it,which pushes the CNTs toward the fiber tip and enables their attachment to it.Further,the flow velocity is symmetrically distributed as a Gaussian function,which results in the formation of a circular top surface and arched cross-sectional profile for the CNT cluster.Our method may be applied in biomedicine for the collection and removal of nano-drug residues.Xianguang Yang Rui Xu Long Wen Zaizhu Lou Qin Chen Baojun Li 2022Fundamental Research2022,2,1:0
11Controlling factors on the charging process of oil and gas in the eastern main sub-sag of the Baiyun Sag,Zhujiang River(Pearl River)Mouth Basin显示文摘The eastern main sub-sag(E-MSS)of the Baiyun Sag was the main zone for gas exploration in the deep-water area of the Zhujiang River(Pearl River)Mouth Basin at its early exploration stage,but the main goal of searching gas in this area was broken through by the successful exploration of the W3-2 and H34B volatile oil reservoirs,which provides a new insight for exploration of the Paleogene oil reservoirs in the E-MSS.Nevertheless,it is not clear on the distribution of“gas accumulated in the upper layer,oil accumulated in the lower layer”(Gas_(upper)-Oil_(lower))under the high heat flow,different source-rock beds,multi-stages of oil and gas charge,and multi-fluid phases,and not yet a definite understanding of the genetic relationship and formation mechanism among volatile oil,light oil and condensate gas reservoirs,and the migration and sequential charge model of oil and gas.These puzzles directly lead to the lack of a clear direction for oil exploration and drilling zone in this area.In this work,the PVT fluid phase,the origin of crude oil and condensate,the secondary alteration of oil and gas reservoirs,the evolution sequence of oil and gas formation,the phase state of oil and gas migration,and the configuration of fault activity were analyzed,which established the migration and accumulation model of Gas_(upper)-Oil_(lower)cocontrolled by source and heat,and fractionation controlled by facies in the E-MSS.Meanwhile,the fractionation evolution model among common black reservoirs,volatile reservoirs,condensate reservoirs and gas reservoirs is discussed,which proposed that the distribution pattern of Gas_(upper)-Oil_(lower)in the E-MSS is controlled by the generation attribute of oil and gas from source rocks,the difference of thermal evolution,and the fractionation controlled by phases after mixing the oil and gas.Overall,we suggest that residual oil reservoirs should be found in the lower strata of the discovered gas reservoirs in the oil-source fault and diapir-developed areas,while volatile oil reservoirs should be found in the deeper strata near the sag with no oil-source fault area.Cong Chen Xiangtao Zhang Guangrong Peng Zulie Long Baojun Liu Xudong Wang Puqiang Zhai Bo Zhang 2023Acta Oceanologica Sinica2023,42,3:0
12Flexible organic integrated electronics for self-powered multiplexed ocular monitoring显示文摘Smart contact lens has drawn extensive research interests due to the noninvasive real-time detection of the human body to provide biomedical information for health management.However,it has been difficult to accurately measure the physiological signals in tears,and the use of external power source has also hindered the future applications.Here,we demonstrated an organic electrochemical transistor based multiplexed sensors self-powered by the organic solar cells(OSCs).The integrated device was fabricated via simple process including solution blade-coating and thermal evaporation.OSCs were optimized to provide optimal operation voltage for the sensors that exhibit semilog-linear response to the glucose and calcium ions in tear fluids without any peripheral circuits.The sensing signals can be transmitted to the laptop wirelessly through a near filed communication unit.This integrated self-powered multiplexed sensing device will provide real-time monitoring of the biomarkers in tears,prospected to be installed on the smart contact lens for the early detection and diagnosis of diabetes.Baojun Lin Meng Wang Chao Zhao Shijie Wang Kai Chen Xiao Li Zaishang Long Chenxu Zhao Xinyue Song Sen Yan Laili Wang Wei Ma 2022npj Flexible Electronics2022,6,1:0
13A parallel pipeline connected-component labeling method for on-orbit space target monitoring显示文摘The paper designs a peripheral maximum gray differ-ence(PMGD)image segmentation method,a connected-compo-nent labeling(CCL)algorithm based on dynamic run length(DRL),and a real-time implementation streaming processor for DRL-CCL.And it verifies the function and performance in space target monitoring scene by the carrying experiment of Tianzhou-3 cargo spacecraft(TZ-3).The PMGD image segmentation method can segment the image into highly discrete and simple point tar-gets quickly,which reduces the generation of equivalences greatly and improves the real-time performance for DRL-CCL.Through parallel pipeline design,the storage of the streaming processor is optimized by 55%with no need for external me-mory,the logic is optimized by 60%,and the energy efficiency ratio is 12 times than that of the graphics processing unit,62 times than that of the digital signal proccessing,and 147 times than that of personal computers.Analyzing the results of 8756 images completed on-orbit,the speed is up to 5.88 FPS and the target detection rate is 100%.Our algorithm and implementation method meet the requirements of lightweight,high real-time,strong robustness,full-time,and stable operation in space irradia-tion environment.LI Zongling ZHANG Qingjun LONG Teng ZHAO Baojun 2022Journal of Systems Engineering and Electronics2022,33,5:0
14Pt_(1)/Ni_(6)Co_(1)layered double hydroxides/N-doped graphene for electrochemical non-enzymatic glucose sensing by synergistic enhancement of single atoms and doping显示文摘The development of novel single-atom catalysts is important for highly efficient electrochemical catalysis and sensing.In this work,a novel Pt single atoms(SAs)supported on Ni_(6)Co_(1)layered double hydroxides/nitrogen-doped graphene(Pt_(1)/Ni_(6)Co_(1)LDHs/NG)was constructed for electrochemical enzyme-free catalysis and sensing towards glucose.The loading of Pt single atoms increases with doping of Co atoms that generate more anchoring sites for Pt SAs.The resulting Pt_(1)/Ni_(6)Co_(1)LDHs/NG exhibits low oxidative potential of 0.440 V with high sensitivity of 273.78μA·mM^(−1)·cm^(−2)toward glucose,which are 85 mV lower and 15 times higher than those of Ni(OH)_(2),respectively.Pt_(1)/Ni_(6)Co_(1)LDHs/NG also shows excellent selectivity and great stability during 5-week testing.Theoretical and experimental results show that the boosted performance of Pt_(1)/Ni_(6)Co_(1)LDHs/NG originates from its stronger binding energy with glucose and the synergistic effect of Pt SAs,Co doping,and NG.This work provides a general strategy of designing highly active SACs for extending their application in electrochemical sensing.Baojun Long Peiyu Cao Yuanmeng Zhao Qianqian Fu Yan Mo Yueming Zhai Juejing Liu Xingyi Lyu Tao Li Xiaofeng Guo Changsheng Shan Minghua Zeng 2023Nano Research2023,16,1:0
