| 1 | Face and object visual working memory deficits in first-episode schizophrenia correlate with multiple neurocognitive performances显示文摘Background Working memory(WM)deficit is considered a core feature and cognitive biomarker in patients with schizophrenia.Several studies have reported prominent object WM deficits in patients with schizophrenia, suggesting that visual WM in these patients extends to non-spatial domains. However, whether non-spatial WM is similarly affected remains unclear.Aim This study primarily aimed to identify the processing of visual object WM in patients with first-episode schizophrenia. Methods The study included 36 patients with first-episode schizophrenia and 35 healthy controls.Visual object WM capacity, including face and house WM capacity, was assessed by means of delayed matching-to sample visual WM tasks,in which participants must distribute memory so that they can discriminate a target sample. We specifically examined their anhedonia experience by the Temporal Experience of Pleasure Scale and the Snaith-Hamilton Pleasure Scale.Cognitive performance was measured by the Repeatable Battery for the Assessment of Neuropsychological Status(RBANS).Results Both face and house WM capacity was significantly impaired in patients with schizophrenia. For both tasks, the performance of all the subjects was worse under the high-load condition than under the low-load condition. We found that WM capacity was highly positively correlated with the performance on RBANS total scores(r=−0.528,p=0.005),RBANS delayed memory scores(r=−0.470,p=0.013),RBANS attention scores(r=−0.584,p=0.001),RBANS language scores(r=−0.448,p=0.019),Trail-Making Test:Part A raw scores(r=0.465,p=0.015)and simple IQ total scores(r=−0.538,p=0.005),and correlated with scores of the vocabulary test(r=−0.490,p=0.011)and scores of the Block Diagram Test(r=−0.426,p=0.027)in schizophrenia. No significant correlations were observed between WM capacity and Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale symptoms. Conclusions Our research found that visual object WM capacity is dramatically impaired in patients with schizophrenia and is strongly correlated with other measures of cognition, suggesting a mechanism that is critical in explaining a portion of the broad cognitive deficits observed in schizophrenia. | Yi Liu Taiyong Bi Bei Zhang Qijie Kuang Haijing Li Kunlun Zong Jingping Zhao Yuping Ning Shenglin She Yingjun Zheng | 2021 | General Psychiatry2021,34,1: | 2 |

| 3 | Cross-layer optimization in ultra wideband networks显示文摘Ultra wideband (UWB) network brings both chance and challenge to personal area wireless communications. Compared with other IEEE 802 small range wireless protocols (such as WLAN and Bluetooth), UWB has both extremely high bandwidth (up to 480 Mbps) and low radiation. Moreover, the structured MAC layer of UWB is the fundamental difference to WLAN. The top one is that only when two UWB de-vices belong to the same piconet can they communicate with each other directly, which means that we must jointly consider topology formation and routing when deploying UWB networks because the interaction between routing and topology formation makes separate optimization ineffective. This paper tries to optimize UWB network from a cross-layer point of view. Specifically, given device spatial distribution and traffic requirement, we want to form piconets and determine rout-ing jointly, to maximize the overall throughput. We formulate the problem of joint optimization to mixed-integer programming and give a practical lower bound that is very close to the theoretical upper bound in our simulation. Furthermore, our lower bound is much better than an algorithm that only considers topology formation in UWB networks. | WU Qi BI JingPing GUO ZiHua XIONG YongQiang ZHANG Qian LI ZhongCheng | 2007 | Science in China(Series F)2007,50,5: | 0 |
| 4 | Influences of the Fresh Air Volume on the Removal of Cough-Released Droplets in a Passenger Car of a High-Speed Train Using CFD显示文摘The spread and removal of pollution sources,namely,cough-released droplets in three different areas(front, middle, and rear areas)of a fully-loaded passenger car in a high-speed train under different fresh air flow volume were studied using computational fluid dynamics(CFD)method. In addition, the structure of indoor flow fields was also analysed. The results show that the large eddies are more stable and flow faster in the air supply under Mode 2(fresh air volume:2200m3/h)compared to Mode 1(fresh air volume:1100m3/h).By analysing the spreading process of droplets sprayed at different locations in the passenger car and with different particle sizes, the removal trends for droplets are found to be similar under the two air supply modes. However, when increasing the fresh air flow volume, the droplets in the middle and front areas of the passenger car are removed faster. When the droplets had dispersed for 60s,Mode 2 exhibited a removal rate approximately 1%–3%higher than Mode 1 for small and medium-sized droplets with diameters of 10 and 50μm.While those in the rear area, the situation is reversed, with Mode 1 slightly surpassing Mode 2 by 1%–3%.For large droplets with a diameter of 100μm,both modes achieved a removal rate of over 96%in all three regions at the 60 s.The results can provide guidance for air supply modes of passenger cars of high-speed trains, thus suppressing the spread of virus-carrying droplets and reducing the risk of viral infection among passengers. | Jun Xu Kai Bi Yibin Lu TiantianWang Hang Zhang Zeyuan Zheng Fushan Shi Yaxin Zheng Xiaoying Li Jingping Yang | 2024 | Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences2024,138,3: | 0 |
