1Stationarity Intervals of Time-Variant Channel in High Speed Railway Scenario显示文摘The non-stationary behavior, caused by the train movement, is the main factor for the variation of high speed railway channel. To measure the time-variant effect, the parameter of stationarity interval, in which the channel keeps constant or has no great change, is adopted based on Zhengzhou-Xi'an (Zhengxi) passenger dedicated line measurement with different train speeds. The stationarity interval is calculated through the definition of Local Region of Stationarity (LRS) under three train velocities. Furthermore, the time non-stationary characteristic of high speed railway channel is compared with five standard Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) channel models, i.e. Spatial Channel Model (SCM), extended version of SCM (SCME), Wireless World Initiative New Radio Phase II (WINNERII), International Mobile Telecommunications-Advanced (IMT-Advanced) and WiMAX models which contain the high speed moving scenario. The stationarity interval of real channel is 9 ms in 80% of the cases, which is shorter than those of the standard models. Hence the real channel of high speed railway changes more rapidly. The stationarity intervals of standard models are different due to different modeling methods and scenario definitions. 2A soil moisture assimilation scheme based on the ensemble Kalman filter using microwave brightness temperature显示文摘This study presents a soil moisture assimilation scheme, which could assimilate microwave brightness temperature directly, based on the ensemble Kalman filter and the shuffled complex evolution method (SCE-UA). It uses the soil water model of the land surface model CLM3.0 as the forecast operator, and a radiative transfer model (RTM) as the observation operator in the assimilation system. The assimilation scheme is implemented in two phases: the parameter calibration phase and the pure soil moisture assimilation phase. The vegetation optical thickness and surface roughness parameters in the RTM are calibrated by SCE-UA method and the optimal parameters are used as the final model parameters of the observation operator in the assimilation phase. The ideal experiments with synthetic data indicate that this scheme could significantly improve the simulation of soil moisture at the surface layer. Further- more, the estimation of soil moisture in the deeper layers could also be improved to a certain extent. The real assimilation experiments with AMSR-E brightness temperature at 10.65 GHz (vertical polariza- tion) show that the root mean square error (RMSE) of soil moisture in the top layer (0―10 cm) by as- similation is 0.03355 m3·m-3, which is reduced by 33.6% compared with that by simulation (0.05052 m3·m-3). The mean RMSE by assimilation for the deeper layers (10―50 cm) is also reduced by 20.9%. 3Diurnal and Seasonal Variations of CO2Fluxes and Their Climate Controlling Factors for a Subtropical Forest in Ningxiang显示文摘In this study, the diurnal and seasonal variations of CO2 fluxes in a subtropical mixed evergreen forest in Ningxiang of Hunan Province, part of the East Asian monsoon region, were quantified for the first time. The fluxes were based on eddy covariance measurements from a newly initiated flux tower. The relationship between the CO2 fluxes and climate factors was also analyzed. The results showed that the target ecosystem appeared to be a clear carbon sink in 2013, with integrated net ecosystem CO2exchange(NEE), ecosystem respiration(RE), and gross ecosystem productivity(GEP) of-428.8, 1534.8 and1963.6 g C m-2yr-1, respectively. The net carbon uptake(i.e. the-NEE), RE and GEP showed obvious seasonal variability,and were lower in winter and under drought conditions and higher in the growing season. The minimum NEE occurred on12 June(-7.4 g C m-2d-1), due mainly to strong radiation, adequate moisture, and moderate temperature; while a very low net CO2 uptake occurred in August(9 g C m-2month-1), attributable to extreme summer drought. In addition, the NEE and GEP showed obvious diurnal variability that changed with the seasons. In winter, solar radiation and temperature were the main controlling factors for GEP, while the soil water content and vapor pressure deficit were the controlling factors in summer. 4Recent progress on MOF-derived carbon materials for energy storage显示文摘Metal-organic frameworks(MOFs)are of quite a significance in the field of inorganic-organic hybrid crystals.Especially,MOFs have attracted increasing attention in recent years due to their large specific surface area,desirable electrical conductivity,controllable porosity,tunable geometric structure,and excellent thermal/chemical stability.Some recent studies have shown that carbon materials prepared by MOFs as precursors can retain the privileged structure of MOFs,such as large specific surface area and porous structure and,in contrast,realize in situ doping with heteroatoms(eg,N,S,P,and B).Moreover,by selecting appropriate MOF precursors,the composition and morphology of the carbon products can be easily adjusted.These remarkable structural advantages enable the great potential of MOF-derived carbon as high-performance energy materials,which to date have been applied in the fields of energy storage and conversion systems.In this review,we summarize the latest advances in MOF-derived carbon materials for energy storage applications.We first introduce the compositions,structures,and synthesis methods of MOF-derived carbon materials,and then discuss their applications and potentials in energy storage systems,including rechargeable lithium/sodium-ion batteries,lithium-sulfur batteries,supercapacitors,and so forth,in detail.Finally,we put forward our own perspectives on the future development of MOF-derived carbon materials.Jincan Ren Yalan Huang He Zhu Binghao Zhang Hekang Zhu Shenghui Shen Guoqiang Tan Feng Wu Hao He Si Lan Xinhui Xia Qi Liu 2020Carbon Energy2020,2,2:8
5Ensemble Simulation of Land Evapotranspiration in China Based on a Multi-Forcing and Multi-Model Approach显示文摘In order to reduce the uncertainty of offline land surface model(LSM) simulations of land evapotranspiration(ET), we used ensemble simulations based on three meteorological forcing datasets [Princeton, ITPCAS(Institute of Tibetan Plateau Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences), Qian] and four LSMs(BATS, VIC, CLM3.0 and CLM3.5), to explore the trends and spatiotemporal characteristics of ET, as well as the spatiotemporal pattern of ET in response to climate factors over China's Mainland during 1982–2007. The results showed that various simulations of each member and their arithmetic mean(Ens Mean) could capture the spatial distribution and seasonal pattern of ET sufficiently well, where they exhibited more significant spatial and seasonal variation in the ET compared with observation-based ET estimates(Obs MTE). For the mean annual ET, we found that the BATS forced by Princeton forcing overestimated the annual mean ET compared with Obs MTE for most of the basins in China, whereas the VIC forced by Princeton forcing showed underestimations. By contrast, the Ens Mean was closer to Obs MTE, although the results were underestimated over Southeast China. Furthermore, both the Obs MTE and Ens Mean exhibited a significant increasing trend during 1982–98; whereas after 1998, when the last big EI Ni ?no event occurred, the Ens Mean tended to decrease significantly between 1999 and 2007, although the change was not significant for Obs MTE. 6Identification of PAL genes related to anthocyanin synthesis in tea plants and its correlation with anthocyanin content显示文摘The phenylalanine ammonia-lyase(PAL)gene family in tea plants(Camellia sinensis L.)encodes the enzyme that catalyzes the first reaction of the phenylpropane metabolic pathway.The present study aimed to characterize the PAL genes in tea plants,and get better insights on the CsPALs in anthocyanins accumulation.Seven CsPAL genes were identified and characterized in tea plants by bioinformatics analysis.Systematic analysis of CsPALs was conducted for its phylogenetic relationship,gene structure,chromosomal location,and protein conserved motifs based on tea plant genome.The cis-elements of CsPALs were responsive to light,abiotic stress,hormone,and MYB-binding site.Furthermore,tissuespecific expression analysis showed that CsPAL4 was expressed preferentially in young leaves and buds.Correlation analysis was performed in purple-leaf tea with anthocyanin components,and it was suggested that CsPAL4 was closely related with different anthocyanin accumulated,especially with cyanidin 3-O-galactoside,cyanidin 3-O-glucoside,and delphinidin 3-O-glucoside.Additionally,the putative upstream regulation factors CsMYBs(CsMYB59,CsARR1,CsSRM1,CsMYB101,and CsMYB52)and CsbHLHs(CsbHLH104,CsbHLH3,CsbIM1,CsTCP14,and CsPIF4)could bind to the promoter of CsPALs,thereby activating its transcription.This study provides a theoretical basis for further research to elucidate the functions of the CsPAL genes.Xuejin Chen Pengjie Wang Mengya Gu Binghao Hou Churan Zhang Yucheng Zheng Yun Sun Shan Jin Naixing Ye 2022Horticultural Plant Journal2022,8,3:4
7Impacts of hydraulic redistribution on eco-hydrological cycles: A case study over the Amazon basin显示文摘Hydraulic redistribution(HR)refers to the process of soil water transport through the low-resistance pathway provided by plant roots.It has been observed in field studies and proposed to be one of the processes that enable plants to resist water limitations.However,most land-surface models(LSMs)currently do not include this underground root process.In this study,a HR scheme was incorporated into the Community Land Model version 4.5(CLM4.5)to investigate the effect of HR on the eco-hydrological cycle.Two paired numerical simulations(with and without the new HR scheme)were conducted for the Tapajos National Forest km83(BRSa3)site and the Amazon.Simulations for the BRSa3 site in the Amazon showed that HR during the wet season was small,<0.1 mm day^(–1),transferring water from shallow wet layers to deep dry layers at night;however,HR in the dry season was more obvious,up to 0.3 mm day^(–1),transferring water from deep wet layers to shallow dry layers at night.By incorporating HR into CLM4.5,the new model increased gross primary production(GPP)and evapotranspiration(ET)by 10%and 15%,respectively,at the BRSa3 site,partly overcoming the underestimation.For the Amazon,regional analysis also revealed that vegetation responses(including GPP and ET)to seasonal drought and the severe drought of 2005 were better captured with the HR scheme incorporated.Yuanyuan WANG Binghao JIA Zhenghui XIE 2018Science China Earth Sciences2018,61,9:3
8A trilogy antimicrobial strategy for multiple infections of orthopedic implants throughout their life cycle显示文摘Bacteria-associated infection represents one of the major threats for orthopedic implants failure during their life cycles.However,ordinary antimicrobial treatments usually failed to combat multiple waves of infections during arthroplasty and prosthesis revisions etc.As these incidents could easily introduce new microbial pathogens in/onto the implants.Herein,we demonstrate that an antimicrobial trilogy strategy incorporating a sophisticated multilayered coating system leveraging multiple ion exchange mechanisms and fine nanotopography tuning,could effectively eradicate bacterial infection at various stages of implantation.Early stage bacteriostatic effect was realized via nano-topological structure of top mineral coating.Antibacterial effect at intermediate stage was mediated by sustained release of zinc ions from doped CaP coating.Strong antibacterial potency was validated at 4 weeks post implantation via an implanted model in vivo.Finally,the underlying zinc titanate fiber network enabled a long-term contact and release effect of residual zinc,which maintained a strong antibacterial ability against both Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli even after the removal of top layer coating.Moreover,sustained release of Sr2+and Zn2+during CaP coating degradation substantially promoted implant osseointegration even under an infectious environment by showing more peri-implant new bone formation and substantially improved bone-implant bonding strength.Yikai Wang Wangsiyuan Teng Zengjie Zhang Xingzhi Zhou Yuxiao Ye Peng Lin An Liu Yan Wu Binghao Li Chongda Zhang Xianyan Yang Weixu Li Xiaohua Yu Zhongru Gou Zhaoming Ye 2021Bioactive Materials2021,6,7:3
9Estimation of Incident-Induced Congestion on Signalized Arteries Using Traffic Sensor Data显示文摘This paper describes how to derive quantitative information about the effect of traffic incidents on urban traffic flow from the raw measurements detected by sectional loop sensors. The two critical parameters of the travel delay and queue length, which reflect the temporal and spatial properties of incident-induced congestion, cannot be directly determined from commonly used loop sensors. The modified queuing diagram is used here to quantify incident-induced queues and travel delays on signalized arteries using sensor data from the targeted and upstream links. 10Down regulated expression of S_(2)-RNase attenuates self-incompatibility in “Guiyou No.1”pummelo显示文摘Self-incompatibility(SI)substantially restricts the yield and quality of citrus.Therefore,breeding and analyzing selfcompatible germplasm is of great theoretical and practical signi ficance for citrus.Here,we focus on the mechanism of a self-compatibility mutation in‘Guiyou No.1'pummelo(Citrus maxima),which is a spontaneous mutant of‘Shatian’pummelo(Citrus maxima,self-incompatibility).The rate of fruit set and the growth of pollen tubes in the pistil con firmed that a spontaneous mutation in the pistil is responsible for the self-compatibility of‘Guiyou No.1'.Segregation ratios of the S genotype in progeny,expression analysis,and western blotting validated that the reduced levels of S_(2)-RNase mRNA contribute to the loss of SI in‘Guiyou No.1'.Furthermore,we report a phased assembly of the‘Guiyou No.1'pummelo genome and obtained two complete and well-annotated S haplotypes.Coupled with an analysis of SV variations,methylation levels,and gene expression,we identi fied a candidate gene(CgHB40),that may in fluence the regulation of the S/^RNase promoter.Our data provide evidence that a mutation that affects the pistilled to the loss of SI in‘Guiyou No.1'by in fluencing a poorly understood mechanism that affects transcriptional regulation.This work signi ficantly advances our understanding of the genetic basis of the SI system in citrus and provides information on the regulation of S-RNase genes.ianbing Hu Qiang Xu Chenchen Liu Binghao Liu Chongling Deng Chuanwu Chen Zhuangmin Wei Muhammad Husnain Ahmad Kang Peng Hao Wen Xiangling Chen Peng Chen Robert MLarkin Junli Ye Xiuxin Deng Lijun Chai 2021Horticulture Research2021,8,1:2
11Increases in Anthropogenic Heat Release from Energy Consumption Lead to More Frequent Extreme Heat Events in Urban Cities显示文摘With economic development and rapid urbanization,increases in Gross Domestic Product and population in fastgrowing cities since the turn of the 21st Century have led to increases in energy consumption.Anthropogenic heat flux released to the near-surface atmosphere has led to changes in urban thermal environments and severe extreme temperature events.To investigate the effects of energy consumption on urban extreme temperature events,including extreme heat and cold events,a dynamic representation scheme of anthropogenic heat release(AHR)was implemented in the Advanced Research version of the Weather Research and Forecasting(WRF)model,and AHR data were developed based on energy consumption and population density in a case study of Beijing,China.Two simulations during 1999−2017 were then conducted using the developed WRF model with 3-km resolution with and without the AHR scheme.It was shown that the mean temperature increased with the increase in AHR,and more frequent extreme heat events were produced,with an annual increase of 0.02−0.19 days,as well as less frequent extreme cold events,with an annual decrease of 0.26−0.56 days,based on seven extreme temperature indices in the city center.AHR increased the sensible heat flux and led to surface energy budget changes,strengthening the dynamic processes in the atmospheric boundary layer that reduce AHR heating efficiency more in summer than in winter.In addition,it was concluded that suitable energy management might help to mitigate the impact of extreme temperature events in different seasons.Bin LIU Zhenghui XIE Peihua QIN Shuang LIU Ruichao LI Longhuan WANG Yan WANG Binghao JIA Si CHEN Jinbo XIE Chunxiang SHI 2021Advances in Atmospheric Sciences2021,38,3:2

13Improving microwave brightness temperature predictions based on Bayesian model averaging ensemble approach显示文摘The choices of the parameterizations for each component in a microwave emission model have significant effects on the quality of brightness temperature(Tb) simulation. How to reduce the uncertainty in the Tb simulation is investigated by adopting a statistical post-processing procedure with the Bayesian model averaging(BMA) ensemble approach. The simulations by the community microwave emission model(CMEM) coupled with the community land model version 4.5(CLM4.5) over China's Mainland are conducted by the 24 configurations from four vegetation opacity parameterizations(VOPs),three soil dielectric constant parameterizations(SDCPs), and two soil roughness parameterizations(SRPs). Compared with the simple arithmetical averaging(SAA) method,the BMA reconstructions have a higher spatial correlation coefficient(larger than 0.99)than the C-band satellite observations of the advanced microwave scanning radiometer on the Earth observing system(AMSR-E) at the vertical polarization.
