1Identification of a novel coronavirus causing severe pneumonia in human:a descriptive study显示文摘Background:Human infections with zoonotic coronaviruses(CoVs),including severe acute respiratory syndrome(SARS)-CoV and Middle East respiratory syndrome(MERS)-CoV,have raised great public health concern globally.Here,we report a novel batorigin CoV causing severe and fatal pneumonia in humans.Methods:We collected clinical data and bronchoalveolar lavage(BAL)specimens from five patients with severe pneumonia from Wuhan Jinyintan Hospital,Hubei province,China.Nucleic acids of the BAL were extracted and subjected to next-generation sequencing.Virus isolation was carried out,and maximum-likelihood phylogenetic trees were constructed.Results:Five patients hospitalized from December 18 to December 29,2019 presented with fever,cough,and dyspnea accompanied by complications of acute respiratory distress syndrome.Chest radiography revealed diffuse opacities and consolidation.One of these patients died.Sequence results revealed the presence of a previously unknownβ-CoV strain in all five patients,with 99.8%to 99.9%nucleotide identities among the isolates.These isolates showed 79.0%nucleotide identity with the sequence of SARS-CoV(GenBank NC_004718)and 51.8%identity with the sequence of MERS-CoV(GenBank NC_019843).The virus is phylogenetically closest to a bat SARS-like CoV(SL-ZC45,GenBank MG772933)with 87.6%to 87.7%nucleotide identity,but is in a separate clade.Moreover,these viruses have a single intact open reading frame gene 8,as a further indicator of bat-origin CoVs.However,the amino acid sequence of the tentative receptor-binding domain resembles that of SARS-CoV,indicating that these viruses might use the same receptor.Conclusion:A novel bat-borne CoV was identified that is associated with severe and fatal respiratory disease in humans.Li-Li Ren Ye-Ming Wang Zhi-Qiang Wu Zi-Chun Xiang Li Guo Teng Xu Yong-Zhong Jiang Yan Xiong Yong-Jun Li Xing-Wang Li Hui Li Guo-Hui Fan Xiao-Ying Gu Yan Xiao Hong Gao Jiu-Yang Xu Fan Yang Xin-Ming Wang Chao Wu Lan Chen Yi-Wei Liu Bo Liu Jian Yang Xiao-Rui Wang Jie Dong Li Li Chao-Lin Huang Jian-Ping Zhao Yi Hu Zhen-Shun Cheng Un-Lin Liu Zhao-Hui Qian Chuan Qin Qi Jin Bin Cao Jian-Wei Wang 2020Chinese Medical Journal2020,,9:99
2Reactive capillary hemangiomas: a novel dermatologic toxicity following anti-PD-1 treatment with SHR-1210显示文摘Objective: SHR-1210 is a new and promising anti-PD-1 agent for solid tumors. During the phase I study of SHR-1210, we encountered a novel but prevalent immune-related dermatologic toxicity: reactive capillary hemangiomas(RCHs). Thus we tried to summarize the features of RCHs and estimate their relationship with tumor response.Methods: This prospective observational study systematically enrolled 98 patients with advanced solid tumors from April 27th,2016 to June 8th, 2017 in the context of the phase I clinical study of SHR-1210. This report focused on the skin toxicities. Patients underwent entire skin inspection every two weeks while taking medication. The clinical course of RCHs was recorded and their association with tumor response was estimated. The data cut-off date was November 15th, 2017.Results: After a median follow-up of 242(range, 29–567) days, RCHs were observed in 85.7%(84/98) of patients on cutaneous/mucosal surfaces; 84.5%(71/84) of the RCHs were evaluated as grade 1 adverse events. No grade 3 or 4 RCHs were observed. The time of onset of RCHs was dose dependent and shortest in the 400 mg-dose cohort(P < 0.001). Spontaneous and complete regression of RCHs was observed both during and after treatment. The objective response rate of tumors for patients with RCHs was 28.9%(24/83). However, no responders were observed among the patients without RCHs.Conclusions: RCHs were prevalent but manageable during treatment with SHR-1210. 3Phase II clinical trial using camrelizumab combined with apatinib and chemotherapy as the first-line treatment of advanced esophageal squamous cell carcinoma显示文摘Background:Effective therapeutic options are limited for patients with advanced esophageal squamous cell carcinoma(ESCC).The incorporation of an immune checkpoint inhibitor and a molecular anti-angiogenic agent into the commonly adopted chemotherapy may produce synergistic effects.Therefore,we aimed to investigate the efficacy and safety of camrelizumab plus apatinib combined with chemotherapy as the first-line treatment of advanced ESCC.Methods:In this single-arm prospective phase II trial,patients with unresectable locally advanced or recurrent/metastatic ESCC received camrelizumab 200 mg,liposomal paclitaxel 150 mg/m2,and nedaplatin 50 mg/m2 on day 1,and apatinib 250 mg on days 1-14.The treatments were repeated every 14 days for up to 9 cycles,followed by maintenance therapy with camrelizumab and apatinib.The primary endpoint was objective response rate(ORR)according to the Response Evaluation Criteria in Solid Tumors(version 1.1).Secondary endpoints included disease control rate(DCR),progression-free survival(PFS),overall survival(OS),and safety.Results:We enrolled 30 patients between August 7,2018 and February 23,2019.The median follow-up was 24.98 months(95%confidence interval[CI]:23.05-26.16 months).The centrally assessed ORR was 80.0%(95%CI:61.4%-92.3%),with a median duration of response of 9.77 months(range:1.54 to 24.82+months).The DCR reached 96.7%(95%CI:82.8%-99.9%).The median PFS was 6.85 months(95%CI:4.46-14.20 months),and the median OS was 19.43 months(95%CI:9.93 months–not reached).The most common grade 3-4 treatmentrelated adverse events(AEs)were leukopenia(83.3%),neutropenia(60.0%),and increased aspartate aminotransferase level(26.7%).Treatment-related serious AEs included febrile neutropenia,leukopenia,and anorexia in one patient(3.3%),and single cases of increased blood bilirubin level(3.3%)and toxic epidermal necrolysis(3.3%).No treatment-related deaths occurred.Conclusions:Camrelizumab plus apatinib combined with liposomal paclitaxel and nedaplatin as first-line treatment demonstrated feasible anti-tumor activity and manageable safety in patients with advanced ESCC.Randomized trials to evaluate this new combination strategy are warranted.Trial registration:This trial was registered on July 27,2018,at ClinicalTrials.gov(identifier:NCT03603756).Bo Zhang Ling Qi Xi Wang Jianping Xu Yun Liu Lan Mu Xingyuan Wang Lidan Bai Jing Huang 2020Cancer Communications2020,40,12:38

5Is total laparoscopic pancreaticoduodenectomy superior to open procedure? A meta-analysis显示文摘BACKGROUND Laparoscopy has been widely used in general surgical procedures,but total laparoscopic pancreaticoduodenectomy(TLPD)is still a complex and challenging surgery that is only performed in a small number of patients at a few large academic medical centers.Although the safety and feasibility of TLPD have been established,few studies have compared it with open pancreaticoduodenectomy(OPD)with regard to perioperative and oncological outcomes.Therefore,we carried out a meta-analysis to evaluate whether TLPD is superior to OPD.AIM To compare the treatment outcomes of TLPD and OPD in order to assess the safety and feasibility of TLPD.METHODS We conducted a systematic search of studies comparing TLPD with OPD that were published in the PubMed,EMBASE,and Cochrane Library databases through December 31,2018.The studies comparing TLPD and OPD with at least one of the outcomes we were interested in and with more than 10 cases in each group were included in this analysis.The Newcastle-Ottawa scale was used to assess the quality of the nonrandomized controlled trials and the Jadad scale was used to assess the randomized controlled trials.Intraoperative data,postoperative complications,and oncologic outcomes were evaluated.The metaanalysis was performed using Review Manager Software version 5.3.Random or fixed-effects meta-analyses were undertaken to measure the pooled estimates.RESULTS A total of 4790 articles were initially identified for our study.After screening,4762 articles were excluded and 28 studies representing 39771 patients(3543 undergoing TLPD and 36228 undergoing OPD)were eventually included.Patients who underwent TLPD had less intraoperative blood loss[weighted mean difference(WMD)=-260.08 mL,95%confidence interval(CI):(-336.02,-184.14)mL,P<0.00001],a lower blood transfusion rate[odds ratio(OR)=0.51,95%CI:0.36-0.72,P=0.0001],a lower perioperative overall morbidity(OR=0.82,95%CI:0.73-0.92,P=0.0008),a lower wound infection rate(OR=0.48,95%CI:0.34-0.67,P<0.0001),a lower pneumonia rate(OR=0.72,95%CI:0.60-0.85,P=0.0002),a shorter duration of intensive care unit(ICU)stay[WMD=-0.28 d,95%CI(-2.88,-1.29)d,P<0.00001]and a shorter length of hospital stay[WMD=-3.05 d,95%CI(-3.93,-2.17),P<0.00001],a lower rate of discharge to a new facility(OR=0.55,95%CI:0.39-0.78,P=0.0008),and a lower 30-d readmission rate(OR=0.81,95%CI:0.68-0.95,P=0.10)than those who underwent OPD.In addition,the TLPD group had a higher R0 rate(OR=1.28,95%CI:1.13-1.44,P=0.0001)and more lymph nodes harvested(WMD=1.32,95%CI:0.57-2.06,P=0.0005)than the OPD group.However,the patients who underwent TLPD experienced a significantly longer operative time(WMD=77.92 min,95%CI:40.89-114.95,P<0.0001)and had a smaller tumor size than those who underwent OPD[WMD=-0.32 cm,95%CI:(-0.58,-0.07)cm,P=0.01].There were no significant differences between the two groups in the major morbidity,postoperative pancreatic fistula,delayed gastric emptying,postpancreatectomy hemorrhage,bile leak,gastroenteric anastomosis fistula,intra-abdominal abscess,bowel obstruction,fluid collection,reoperation,ICU admission,or 30-d and 90-d mortality rates.For malignant tumors,the 1-,2-,3-,4-and 5-year overall survival rates were not significantly different between the two groups.CONCLUSION This meta-analysis indicates that TLPD is safe and feasible,and may be a desirable alternative to OPD,although a longer operative time is needed and only smaller tumors can be treated.Hua Zhang Xiang Lan Bing Peng Bo Li 2019World Journal of Gastroenterology2019,25,37:19
6Chinese Stroke Association guidelines for clinical management of cerebrovascular disorders: executive summary and 2019 update of clinical management of cerebral venous sinus thrombosis显示文摘Aim Cerebral venous sinus thrombosis(CVST)is a less common cerebrovascular disease that predominantly affects young patients.The incidence of CVST is 2-5/10000000/year,accounting for 0.5%-1%of all stroke.To reduce mortality and morbidity associated with CVST,Chinese Stroke Association commissioned the authors to write the current guideline on the management of CVST.Methods PubMed(MEDLINE),CNKI and Wanfang database were searched for studies related to CVST from 1 January 1990 to 31 July 2019.Data were synthesised by evidence tables.Each recommendation was fully discussed by the writing group members and reviewed by Chinese Stroke Association Stroke Fellow Committees.Levels of evidence grading algorithm of Chinese Stroke Association was used to grade each recommendation.results This guideline mainly focuses on the diagnostic evaluation,therapeutic strategies and secondary prevention of CVST.CT/CTV and MRI/MRV are recommended in the initial imaging evaluation of patients with suspected CVST.Anticoagulation therapy with low-molecular weight heparin should be initiated in patients with CVST immediately.After the acute stage,warfarin is recommended for 3-6 months to prevent the recurrence of CVST and other venous thromboembolic events.Conclusions The guideline summarises the current evidence regarding the management of CVST,and provides references for diagnosis,treatment and secondary prevention of CVST in China.Yuhua Fan Jian Yu Hongbing Chen Jian Zhang Jiangang Duan Dapeng Mo Wenhao Zhu Bo Wang Fubing Ouyang Yicong Chen Linfang Lan Jinsheng Zeng Chinese Stroke Association Stroke Council CVST Guideline Writing Committee 2020Stroke & Vascular Neurology2020,5,2:14
7Glycyrrhizic acid attenuates CCl_4-induced hepatocyte apoptosis in rats via a p53-mediated pathway显示文摘AIM: To investigate the effect of glycyrrhizic acid (GA) on carbon tetrachloride (CCl4)-induced hepatocyte apo-ptosis in rats via a p53-dependent mitochondrial path-way. METHODS: Forty-five male Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly and equally divided into three groups, the control group, the CCl4 group, and the GA treatment group. To induce liver fibrosis in this model, rats were given a subcutaneous injection of a 40% solution of CCl4 in olive oil at a dose of 0.3 mL/100 g body weight biweekly for 8 wk, while controls received the same isovolumetric dose of olive oil by hypodermic injection, with an initial double-dose injection. In the GA group,rats were also treated with a 40% solution of CCl4 plus 0.2% GA solution in double distilled water by the intraperitoneal injection of 3 mL per rat three times a week from the first week following previously published methods, with modifications. Controls were given the same isovolumetric dose of double distilled water. Liver function parameters, such as alanine aminotransferase (ALT) and aspartate aminotransferase (AST) were de-termined. Pathologic changes in the liver were detected by hematoxylin and eosin staining. Collagen fibers were evaluated by Sirius red staining. Hepatocyte apoptosis was investigated using the terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase-mediated deoxyuridine 5-triphosphate nick end labeling (TUNEL) assay and the cleaved caspase-3 immunohistochemistry assay. The expression levels of p53 and apoptosis-related proteins were evaluated by immunohistochemistry or Western blotting analysis. RESULTS: After 8 wk of treatment, GA significantly re-duced serum activity of ALT (from 526.7 ± 57.2 to 342 ± 44.8, P<0.05) and AST (from 640 ± 33.7 to 462.8 ± 30.6, P<0.05), attenuated the changes in liver his-topathology and reduced the staging score (from 3.53 ± 0.74 to 3.00 ± 0.76, P<0.05) in CCl4 -treated rats. GA markedly reduced the positive area of Sirius red and the ratio of the hepatic fibrotic region (from 7.87% ± 0.66% to 3.68% ± 0.32%, P<0.05) compared with the CCl4 group. GA also decreased the expression level of cleaved caspase-3 compared to the CCl4 group. TU-NEL assay indicated that GA significantly diminished the number of TUNEL-positive cells compared with the CCl4 group (P<0.05). GA treatment clearly decreased the level of p53 (P<0.05) detected by immunohis-tochemistry and Western blotting analysis. Compared with the CCl4 group, we also found that GA reduced the Bax/Bcl-2 ratio (P<0.05), the expression of cleaved caspase-3 (P<0.05), cleaved caspase-9 (P<0.05), and inhibited cytochrome C and second mitochondria-derived activator of caspases (Smac) release from mito-chondria to cytoplasm, i.e. , GA reduced the expressionlevel of Smac, which inhibited c-IAP1 activity (P<0.05), ultimately inhibiting the activity of caspase-3, according to Western blotting analysis. 8Microstructural evolution and stress state related to mechanical properties of electron beam melted Ti-6Al-4V alloy modified by laser shock peening显示文摘This work characterizes microstructural evolutions of electron beam melted(EBM) Ti-6 Al-4 V alloy modified via laser shock peening(LSP).The depth stress distribution and tensile properties of EBM Ti-6 Al-4 V alloy were measured before and after LSP.The results indicate that microstructure consists of β phase with 7.2%±0.4% vol.% and balance α lamellar in EBM sample,and the α lamella was refined into nano-equiaxed grains and submicro-equiaxed grains after LSP.The dominant refinement mechanism is revealed during LSP.Stacking faults were found in the LSP-treated sample,and their corresponding planes were determined as(0001) basal plane,(1010) prismatic plane,and(1011) pyramidal plane obtained by high resolution transmission electron microscopy.The subgrains and high-angle grains formed during dynamic recrystallization were identified by selected area electron diffraction pattern.The LSP treatment produces a significantly residual compressive stress approximately-380 MPa with the depth of compressive stress layer reaching 450 μm.Strength and elongation of the EBM sample were significantly increased after LSP.The strength and ductility enhancements are attributed to compre s sive stress,grain refinement and grain gradient distribution of α phase.Liang Lan Xinyuan Jin Shuang Gao Bo He Yonghua Rong 2020Journal of Materials Science & Technology2020,47,15:11
9Preoperative albumin levels predict prolonged postoperative ileus in gastrointestinal surgery显示文摘BACKGROUND Prolonged postoperative ileus(PPOI) is a prolonged state of 'pathological'gastrointestinal(GI) tract dysmotility. There are relatively few studies examining the influence of preoperative nutritional status on the development of PPOI in patients who underwent GI surgery. The association between preoperative albumin and PPOI has not been fully studied. We hypothesized that preoperative albumin may be an independent indicator of PPOI.AIM To analyze the role of preoperative albumin in predicting PPOI and to establish a nomogram for clinical risk evaluation.METHODS Patients were drawn from a prospective hospital registry database of GI surgery.A total of 311 patients diagnosed with gastric or colorectal cancer between June 2016 and March 2017 were included. Potential predictors of PPOI were analyzed by univariate and multivariable logistic regression analyses, and a nomogram for quantifying the presence of PPOI was developed and internally validated.RESULTS The overall PPOI rate was 21.54%. Advanced tumor stage and postoperative opioid analgesic administration were associated with PPOI. Preoperative albumin was an independent predictor of PPOI, and an optimal cutoff value of 39.15 was statistically calculated. After adjusting multiple variables, per unit or per SD increase in albumin resulted in a significant decrease in the incidence of PPOI of 8%(OR = 0.92, 95%CI: 0.85-1.00, P = 0.046) or 27%(OR = 0.73, 95%CI:0.54-0.99, P = 0.046), respectively. Patients with a high level of preoperative albumin(≥ 39.15) tended to experience PPOI compared to those with low levels(< 39.15)(OR = 0.43, 95%CI: 0.24-0.78, P = 0.006). A nomogram for predicting PPOI was developed [area under the curve(AUC) = 0.741] and internally validated by bootstrap resampling(AUC = 0.725, 95%CI: 0.663-0.799).CONCLUSION Preoperative albumin is an independent predictive factor of PPOI in patients who underwent GI surgery. 10Association of Overlapped and Un-overlapped Comorbidities with COVID-19 Severity and Treatment Outcomes: A Retrospective Cohort Study from Nine Provinces in China显示文摘Objective Several COVID-19 patients have overlapping comorbidities. The independent role of each component contributing to the risk of COVID-19 is unknown, and how some non-cardiometabolic comorbidities affect the risk of COVID-19 remains unclear.Methods A retrospective follow-up design was adopted. A total of 1,160 laboratory-confirmed patients were enrolled from nine provinces in China. Data on comorbidities were obtained from the patients’ medical records. Multivariable logistic regression models were used to estimate the odds ratio(OR) and 95% confidence interval(95% CI) of the associations between comorbidities(cardiometabolic or non-cardiometabolic diseases), clinical severity, and treatment outcomes of COVID-19.Results Overall, 158(13.6%) patients were diagnosed with severe illness and 32(2.7%) had unfavorable outcomes. Hypertension(2.87, 1.30–6.32), type 2 diabetes(T2 DM)(3.57, 2.32–5.49),cardiovascular disease(CVD)(3.78, 1.81–7.89), fatty liver disease(7.53, 1.96–28.96), hyperlipidemia(2.15, 1.26–3.67), other lung diseases(6.00, 3.01–11.96), and electrolyte imbalance(10.40, 3.00–26.10)were independently linked to increased odds of being severely ill. T2 DM(6.07, 2.89–12.75), CVD(8.47,6.03–11.89), and electrolyte imbalance(19.44, 11.47–32.96) were also strong predictors of unfavorable outcomes. Women with comorbidities were more likely to have severe disease on admission(5.46,3.25–9.19), while men with comorbidities were more likely to have unfavorable treatment outcomes(6.58, 1.46–29.64) within two weeks.Conclusion Besides hypertension, diabetes, and CVD, fatty liver disease, hyperlipidemia, other lung diseases, and electrolyte imbalance were independent risk factors for COVID-19 severity and poor treatment outcome. 12Surface-enhanced Raman scattering on dielectric microspheres with whispering gallery mode resonance显示文摘Conventionally, metallic nanostructures are used for surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy(SERS), but recently there has been increasing interest in the enhancement of Raman scattering from dielectric substrates due to their improved stability and biocompatibility compared with metallic substrates. Here, we report the observation of enhanced Raman scattering from rhodamine 6 G molecules coated on silica microspheres. We excite the whispering gallery modes(WGMs) supported in the microspheres with a tapered fiber coupler for efficient WGM excitation, and the Raman enhancement can be attributed to the WGM mechanism. Strong resonance enhancement in pump laser intensity and modified Raman emission from the Purcell effect in the microsphere resonator are observed from the experiment and compared with theoretical results. A total Raman enhancement factor of 1.4 × 10~4 is observed, with contribution mostly from the enhancement in pump laser intensity. 13Preinduced intestinal HSP70 improves visceral hypersensitivity and abnormal intestinal motility in PI-IBS mouse model显示文摘Objective:To investigate the impact of the preinduced intestinal heat shock protein 70(HSP70)on the visceral hypersensitivity and abnormal intestinal motility in a post-infectious irritable bowel syndrome(PI-IBS) mouse model.Methods:Eighty-four female C57BL/6 mice were randomly assigned to four groups:control group(n=21) and induction+PI-IBS group(n=21),PI-IBS group(n=21) and induction group(n=21).The mice in PI-IBS group were infected in vivo with trichinella spiralis by oral administration.The visceral hypersensitivity and intestinal motility were evaluated respectively with abdominal withdrawal reflex and colon transportation test.The intestinal HSP70 protein and mRNA level was measured by Western blot and realtime PCR.Meanwhile,the intestinal proinflammatory cytokines IL-10 and TNF-α level was detected by ELISA.Results:Compared with their counterparts in PI-IBS group,the animals in the Induction+PI-IBS group show significantly increased intestinal level of HSP70 and obviously ameliorative clinical tigurcs.including abdominal withdrawal reflex score,intestine transportation time and Bristol scores(P<0.05).Meanwhile,the intestinal post-inflammatory cytokines remarkably changed,including increased IL-10 level and decreased TNF-αlevel(P<0.05).Conclusions:Intestinal IISP70 may play a potential protective role through improving the imbalance between the intestinal post-inflammatory and anti-inflammatory cytokines in PI-IBS.Cheng Lan Xiao-Ning Sun Xu-Chun Zhou Bo Yang Bai-Li Huang Tao-Zhi Deng Zhou-Tao He Xiang-Yang Han 2016Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Medicine2016,9,3:7
14Clinical signification on the expressions of metallothionein in three types cancer of woman显示文摘Objective: To study the expressions and significations of metallothionein (MT) in cervical squamous cell cancer (CSC), bladder transitional cell cancer (BTC) and breast cancer (BC) of woman. Methods: Immunohistochemical method was used to examine the expresses rate of MT in three types of woman cancer tissue. Results: The expressions rates of MT were 54.35% (29/46) in BTC, 67.05% (59/88) in BC and 57.14% (40/70) in CSC. The positive rate of MT expression was higher in low differentiation group than well differentiation group in BTC and CSC (P < 0.05). Positive of MT in lobular cancer was significance higher than medullary and duct cancers (P < 0.05). 18Identifying neutral allele Sb at pollen-sterility loci in cultivated rice with Oryza rufipogon origin显示文摘Pollen sterility is commonly found in the intra-specific hybrids of indica and japonica rice,which is one of the main constrains for the utilization of heterosis between indica and japonica.Six loci controlling the pollen sterility of F1 between indica and japonica have been identified from previous studies.Neutral alleles at each locus are potential to overcome the F1 pollen sterility associated with the locus.Therefore,exploitation and utilization of neutral alleles are of significant importance.The present research was based on fine mapping of the F1 pollen-sterility gene Sb and the abundant genetic diversity of Oryza rufipogon Griff.indigenous to Gaozhou,Guangdong Province(referred to as Gaozhou wild rice).Crosses were made using Taichung65(with the genotype of SbjSbj and referred to as E1) and its near-isogenic line of F1 pollen sterility gene Sb(with the genotype of SbiSbi,E2) as female parents,and 12 different accessions of Gaozhou wild rice as male parents.F1 pollen fertility was examined to identify the materials having the neutral alleles at the F1 pollen-sterility locus.Segregation of 4 molecular markers tightly linked with the Sb locus was analyzed in the F2 populations derived from the F1s carrying the neutral gene.The pollen fertility related to the 3 genotypes of the molecular markers was also checked by statistical test to determine whether it was consistent with the hypothesis.The results showed that the pollen fertility of two F1s from one accession of Gaozhou wild rice(GZW099) with E1 and E2 was(89.22±1.07)% and(85.65±1.05)%,respectively.Both of them were fertile and showed no significant difference by t-test.Segregation of the 3 genotypes of the 4 molecular markers followed the expected Mendelian ratio(1:2:1) in the F2 populations.There was no significant difference for the averaged pollen fertility of the plants related to the 3 genotypes,suggesting that no interaction exists between the alleles at the Sb locus in GZW099 and Taichung65 or E2.Evidentially,GZW099 carried the neutral gene(named SbnSbn) at the Sb locus,which provides valuable theoretical basis and resources for further studying and overcoming the sterility of indica-japonica hybrids.SHI LeiGang LIU XiangDong LIU Bo ZHAO XingJuan WANG Lan LI JinQuan LU YongGen 2009Chinese Science Bulletin2009,54,20:5
19Validity of distress thermometer for screening of anxiety and depression in family caregivers of Chinese breast cancer patients receiving postoperative chemotherapy显示文摘Objective:Family caregivers(FCs)of breast cancer patients play a vital role throughout the treatment process.Psychological distress of FCs is common and often ignored.A simple and effective instrument for screening psychological distress would help in selecting those FCs requiring special attention and intervention.Here,the validity of distress thermometer(DT)in FCs of Chinese breast cancer patients receiving postoperative chemotherapy was assessed,and the prevalence of anxiety and depression was evaluated.Methods:We recruited 200 FCs of hospitalized breast cancer patients in this cross-sectional descriptive study.Before the first cycle of adjuvant chemotherapy,the levels of anxiety and depression among FCs were assessed using DT and Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale(HADS).In total,191 valid cases were analyzed.HADS was used as the diagnostic standard to assess the effectiveness of DT as a screening tool for anxiety and depression as well as to analyze the diagnostic efficiency of DT at various cutoff points.Results:The definitive prevalence of both anxiety and depression was 8.90%.The mean level of anxiety and depression among FCs was 5.64±3.69 and 5.09±3.85,respectively,both of which were significantly higher than corresponding Chinese norms(P<0.01).The areas under receiver operating characteristic curves of DT for the diagnoses of FCs'anxiety and depression were 0.904 and 0.885,respectively.A cutoff value of 5 produced the best diagnostic effects of DT for anxiety and depression.Conclusions:The levels of both anxiety and depression were higher in the FCs of Chinese breast cancer patients receiving postoperative chemotherapy than the national norm.DT might be an effective tool to initially screen psychological distress among FCs.This process could be integrated into the palliative care of breast cancer patients and warrant further research.Min Yang Fei Ma Bo Lan Jianqiang Cai Xiaoying Sun Binghe Xu 2020Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2020,32,4:5
20Stress Measurement with an Improved Hollow Inclusion Technique In Jinchuan Nickel Mine显示文摘Borehole overcoring stress measurement with an improved hollow inclusion technique was carried out at 10 points on 3 levels in Jinchuan nickel mine which is situated in north-west of China. Through the measurement, 3-D in situ stress state at the measuring points and distribution characteristics of the stress field in the mine were obtained. The stress state in Jinchuan mine is dominated by the horizontal tectonic stress field. The maximum principal stress is horizontal which is about twice the weight of the overburden and its orientation is approximately vertical to the regional tectonic line.
