1Surface Active Sites on Co_(3)O_(4) Nanobelt and Nanocube Model Catalysts for CO Oxidation显示文摘CO oxidation has been performed on Co_(3)O_(4) nanobelts and nanocubes as model catalysts.The Co_(3)O_(4) nanobelts which have a predominance of exposed{011}planes are more active than Co_(3)O_(4) nanocubes with exposed{001}planes.Temperature programmed reduction of CO shows that Co_(3)O_(4) nanobelts have stronger reducing properties than Co_(3)O_(4) nanocubes.The essence of shape and crystal plane effect is revealed by the fact that turnover frequency of Co3+sites of{011}planes on Co_(3)O_(4) nanobelts is far higher than that of{001}planes on Co_(3)O_(4) nanocubes.Linhua Hu Keqiang Sun Qing Peng Boqing Xu Yadong Li 2010Nano Research2010,3,5:21
2La-EDTA coated Fe_3O_4 nanomaterial:Preparation and application in removal of phosphate from water显示文摘La-EDTA-Fe3O4 was prepared by a chemical co-precipitation method. The magnetic composite was characterized by transmission electron microscopy (TEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR). Furthermore, the adsorption properties of La-EDTA-Fe3O4 toward phosphate in water were investigated. The uptake rate of phosphate in water by La-EDTA-Fe3O4 was 3-1000 times than that of EDTA-Fe3O4 , and reached 97.8% at 7 hr. The adsorption process agreed well with the Freundlich model and kinetics studies showed that the adsorption of phosphate proceeds according to pseudo second-order adsorption kinetics. The maximum removal rate was achieved at pH 6.0-7.0. The La-EDTA-Fe3O4 had good adsorption properties and could be separated well from aqueous solution by a permanent magnet. 43D printing of calcium phosphate bioceramic with tailored biodegradation rate for skull bone tissue reconstruction显示文摘The bone regenerative scaffold with the tailored degradation rate matching with the growth rate of the new bone is essential for adolescent bone repair.To satisfy these requirement,we proposed bone tissue scaffolds with controlled degradation rate using osteoinductive materials(Ca-P bioceramics),which is expected to present a controllable biodegradation rate for patients who need bone regeneration.Physicochemical properties,porosity,compressive strength and degradation properties of the scaffolds were studied.3D printed Ca-P scaffold(3DS),gas foaming Ca-P scaffold(FS)and autogenous bone(AB)were used in vivo for personalized beagle skull defect repair.Histological results indicated that the 3DS was highly vascularized and well combined with surrounding tissues.FS showed obvious newly formed bone tissues.AB showed the best repair effect,but it was found that AB scaffolds were partially absorbed and degraded.This study indicated that the 3D printed Ca-P bioceramics with tailored biodegradation rate is a promising candidate for personalized skull bone tissue reconstruction.Boqing Zhang Huan Sun Lina Wu Liang Ma Fei Xing Qingquan Kong Yujiang Fan Changchun Zhou Xingdong Zhang 2019Bio-Design and Manufacturing2019,2,3:5
5The genome of the recretohalophyte Limonium bicolor provides insights into salt gland development and salinity adaptation during terrestrial evolution显示文摘Halophytes have evolved specialized strategies to cope with high salinity.The extreme halophyte sea lavender(Limonium bicolor)lacks trichomes but possesses salt glands on its epidermis that can excrete harmful ions,such as sodium,to avoid salt damage.Here,we report a high-quality,2.92-Gb,chromosome-scale L.bicolor genome assembly based on a combination of Illumina short reads,single-molecule,real-time long reads,chromosome conformation capture(Hi-C)data,and Bionano genome maps,greatly enriching the genomic information on recretohalophytes with multicellular salt glands.Although the L.bicolor genome contains genes that show similarity to trichome fate genes from Arabidopsis thaliana,it lacks homologs of the decision fate genes GLABRA3,ENHANCER OF GLABRA3,GLABRA2,TRANSPARENT TESTA GLABRA2,and SIAMESE,providing a molecular explanation for the absence of trichomes in this species.We identified key genes(LbHLH and LbTTG1)controlling salt gland development among classical trichome homologous genes and confirmed their roles by showing that their mutations markedly disrupted salt gland initiation,salt secretion,and salt tolerance,thus offering genetic support for the long-standing hypothesis that salt glands and trichomes may share a common origin.In addition,a whole-genome duplication event occurred in the L.bicolor genome after its divergence from Tartary buckwheat and may have contributed to its adaptation to high salinity.The L.bicolor genome resource and genetic evidence reported in this study provide profound insights into plant salt tolerance mechanisms that may facilitate the engineering of salt-tolerant crops.Fang Yuan Xi Wang Boqing Zhao Xiaojing Xu Miao Shi Bingying Leng Xinxiu Dong Chaoxia Lu Zhongtao Feng Jianrong Guo Guoliang Han Haikuan Zhang Jianwei Huang Min Chen Bao-Shan Wang 2022Molecular Plant2022,15,6:3

7Synthesis and characterization of Au@Pt nanoparticles显示文摘Aucore-Ptshell (Au@Pt) nanoparticles were syn-thesized at room temperature by reducing K2PtCl6 with hy-drogen in the solution containing Au colloids and polyvi-nylpyrrolidone (PVP). The particles obtained were charac-terized with UV-Vis, TEM and XPS techniques. UV-Vis spectra show that the surface plasmon absorption feature of Au colloids is significantly reduced with increasing the amount of reduced Pt. TEM images that the metals are found always appear as spherical nanoparticles and their sizes grow apparently due to the reduction of PtCl62? ions, indicating that Pt is deposited from solution onto Au particle surface and forms a Pt-layer with uniform thickness. In the XPS spectra, the signals of Au metal decrease due to the re-ductive deposition of Pt on the surface of the Au colloids. UV-Vis and XPS data are consistent in showing that when the amount of Pt in the AuPt colloids is increased to reach an overall atomic ratio of Pt/Au = 2, the Pt deposits form a shell covering completely the surface of Au particles, demonstrat-ing the core-shell structure of the synthesized AuPt particles.ZHAO Dan WU Gang XU Boqing 2005Chinese Science Bulletin2005,50,17:2
8Operator algebras associated with multiplicative convolutions of arithmetic functions显示文摘The action of N on l^2(N) is studied in association with the multiplicative structure of N. Then the maximal ideal space of the Banach algebra generated by N is homeomorphic to the product of closed unit disks indexed by primes, which reflects the fundamental theorem of arithmetic. The C*-algebra generated by N does not contain any non-zero projection of finite rank. This assertion is equivalent to the existence of infinitely many primes. The von Neumann algebra generated by N is B(l^2(N)), the set of all bounded operators on l^2(N).Moreover, the differential operator on l^2(N,1/n(n+1)) defined by ▽f = μ * f is considered, where μ is the Mbius function. It is shown that the spectrum σ(▽) contains the closure of {ζ(s)-1: Re(s) > 1}. 10Bracelet salt glands of the recretohalophyte Limonium bicolor:Distribution,morphology,and induction显示文摘Halophytes complete their life cycles in saline environments.The recretohalophyte Limonium bicolor has evolved a specialized salt secretory structure,the salt gland,which excretes Na+to avoid salt damage.Typical L.bicolor salt glands consist of 16 cells with four fluorescent foci and four secretory pores.Here,we describe a special type of salt gland at the base of the L.bicolor leaf petiole named bracelet salt glands due to their beaded-bracelet-like shape of blue auto-fluorescence.Bracelet salt glands contain more than 16 cells and more than four secretory pores.Leaf disc secretion measurements and non-invasive micro-test techniques indicated that bracelet salt glands secrete more salt than normal salt glands,which helps maintain low Na+levels at the leaf blade to protect the leaf.Cytokinin treatment induced bracelet salt gland differentiation,and the developed ones showed no further differentiation when traced with a living fluorescence microscopy imager,even though new salt gland development and leaf expansion were observed.Transcriptome revealed a NAC transcription factor gene that participates in bracelet salt gland development,as confirmed by its genome editing and overexpression in L.bicolor.These findings shed light on bracelet salt gland development and may facilitate the engineering of salt-tolerant crops.Boqing Zhao Yingli Zhou Xiangmei Jiao Xi Wang Baoshan Wang Fang Yuan 2023Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2023,65,4:1
