| 1 | Federated Learning for 6G Communications:Challenges,Methods,and Future Directions显示文摘As the 5G communication networks are being widely deployed worldwide,both industry and academia have started to move beyond 5G and explore 6G communications.It is generally believed that 6G will be established on ubiquitous Artificial Intelligence(AI)to achieve data-driven Machine Learning(ML)solutions in heterogeneous and massive-scale networks.However,traditional ML techniques require centralized data collection and processing by a central server,which is becoming a bottleneck of large-scale implementation in daily life due to significantly increasing privacy concerns.Federated learning,as an emerging distributed AI approach with privacy preservation nature,is particularly attractive for various wireless applications,especially being treated as one of the vital solutions to achieve ubiquitous AI in 6G.In this article,we first introduce the integration of 6G and federated learning and provide potential federated learning applications for 6G.We then describe key technical challenges,the corresponding federated learning methods,and open problems for future research on federated learning in the context of 6G communications. | Yi Liu Xingliang Yuan Zehui Xiong Jiawen Kang Xiaofei Wang Dusit Niyato | 2020 | China Communications2020,17,9: | 21 |
| 2 | Inhibition of adipogenic differentiation by myostatin is alleviated by arginine supplementation in porcine-muscle-derived mesenchymal stem cells显示文摘Porcine mesenchymal stem cells in postnatal muscle have been demonstrated to differentiate into adipocytes.This increases adipocyte number and lipid accumulation,and is thought to be the origin of intramuscular fat.In this study,the effects of myostatin and arginine on adipogenic differentiation in mesenchymal stem cells derived from porcine muscle (pMDSCs) were investigated in vitro.Intracellular triglyceride levels were reduced by exogenous myostatin and increased by arginine supplementation or myostatin antibody (P<0.01).The inhibition of lipid accumulation by myostatin in pMDSCs was alleviated by arginine supplementation (P<0.01).Expression patterns of adipogenic transcription factors showed that exogenous myostatin suppressed PPARγ2 and aP2 expression (P<0.01),while supplemental arginine or myostatin antibody promoted ADD1 expression (P<0.01).Furthermore,compared with the addition of either myostatin protein or antibody alone,ADD1 and PPARδ expression were promoted by the combination of arginine and myostatin (P<0.01),and arginine combined with myostatin antibody promoted the expression of ADD1,PPAR,C/EBP,PPAR 2 and LPL in pMDSCs (P<0.05).These results suggest that myostatin inhibits adipogenesis in pMDSCs,and that this can be alleviated by arginine supplementation,at least in part,through promoting ADD1 and PPAR expression. | LEI HuLong YU Bing YANG XueRong LIU ZeHui HUANG ZhiQing MAO XiangBing TIAN Gang HE Jun HAN GuoQuan CHEN Hong MAO Qian CHEN DaiWen | 2011 | Science China(Life Sciences)2011,54,10: | 4 |

| 4 | Dual-wavelength bidirectional pumped high-power Raman fiber laser显示文摘In this paper, we reported both the experimental demonstration and theoretical analysis of a Raman fiber laser based on a master oscillator–power amplifier configuration. The Raman fiber laser adopted the dual-wavelength bidirectional pumping configuration, utilizing 976 nm laser diodes and 1018 nm fiber lasers as the pump sources. A 60-m-long25/400 μm ytterbium-doped fiber was used to convert the power from 1070 to 1124 nm, realizing a maximum power output of 3.7 kW with a 3 dB spectral width of 6.8 nm. Moreover, we developed a multi-frequency model taking into consideration the Raman gain spectrum and amplified spontaneous emission. The calculated spectral broadening of both the forward and backward laser was in good agreement with the experimental results. | 6 | Effect of silica nanoparticles/poly(vinylidene fluoride-hexafluoropropylene) coated layers on the performance of polypropylene separator for lithium-ion batteries显示文摘In an effort to reduce thermal shrinkage and improve electrochemical performance of porous polypropylene(PP) separators for lithium-ion batteries, a new composite separator is developed by introducing ceramic coated layers on both sides of PP separator through a dip-coating process. The coated layers are comprised of heat-resistant and hydrophilic silica nanoparticles and polyvinylidene fluoride-hexafluoropropylene(PVDF-HFP) binders. Highly porous honeycomb structure is formed and the thickness of the layer is only about 700 nm. | 11 | Grain production space reconstruction and land system function tradeoffs in China显示文摘Grain production space reconstruction referred to the changes in the quantity,quality and pattern of grain produc-tion space caused by functional tradeoffs and conflicts between grain production space,urban-rural development space,and ecological service space.Exploring tradeoffs between land system functions caused by grain produc-tion space reconstruction was particularly important for ensuring food security,promoting the construction of ecological civilization,and achieving sustainable development.Therefore,this study identified four relationships of land system functions during the process of grain production space reconstruction(1980-2018)in China by using Set Pair Analysis.Research results showed that the reconstruction of grain production space was achieved mainly through three pathways:Grain for Green,deforestation and reclamation,and urban expansion.Generally,ecological service had spatial negative correlation with grain production,economic development and population carrying capacity(P<0.01),but grain production,economic development and population carrying capacity were positively correlated with each other(P<0.01).In the process of grain production space reconstruction,eco-logical services and economic development,ecological services and population carrying capacity had all shown inverse synergies;there was a tradeoffbetween grain production and ecological services,a codirectional tradeoffbetween grain production and economic development,but a strong synergy between economic development and population carrying capacity.However,the functions of land systems only appeared as synergies or tradeoffs,and there were no inverse synergies and codirectional tradeoffs in the separate processes of Grain for Green,deforestation and reclamation,and urban expansion.It can be concluded that the relationships between land system functions were relatively simple in a single process,but it became complex and diverse when multiple processes were integrated for system analysis. | Fei Li Zhangxuan Qin Xiaolin Liu Zehui Chen Xiaoli Wei Qiumeng Zhang Min Lei | 2021 | Geography and Sustainability2021,2,1: | 2 |

| 13 | Heterosis for Seed Yield, Oil Content and Other Characters in Rapeseed (Brassica napus L.)显示文摘Nine inbred lines of rapeseed (Brassica napus L.) used as male were crossed to five recessive genetic male sterile (RGMS) lines used as female to produce 45 single crosses. The crosses, their parents and a check hybrid were tested at two locations during 2007 to 2008 for testing the performance and heterosis of hybrids for seed yield and other characters. Results showed that variations for seed yield, oil content, days to flowering and days to maturity were significant. Mean squares for hybrids were significant for all characters. High heterosis (–4.5%-88.3%), heterobeltiosis (–15.6%-81.1%) and standard heterosis (–34.8%-33.1%) were found for the seed yield. The highest heterosis and heterobeltiosis were found in the cross QH303-4A×1190. The highest standard heterosis was found in the cross Qianyou8A×Q034. Both positive and negative heterosis of single crosses were detected for the oil content. Small heterosis was found for days to flowering and days to maturity. Among parents, Ⅲ188, Ⅲ224, and Q034 were proved to be the superior for seed yield when used as parents in most of the hybrid combinations. 2365, Ⅲ224, and QH303-4AB were good for high oil content breeding. Ⅲ176, 2313 and Qianyou3AB were good for the early hybrid breeding. Total 11 hybrids yielded higher than 2 500 kg·hm -2 and also gave significantly positive heterosis, heterobeltiosis and standard heterosis. Among them, 10 crosses gave higher oil content than that of check. These crosses can be used in the future breeding program for the seed yield and the oil content. | 16 | TRIM27 maintains gut homeostasis by promoting intestinal stem cell self-renewal显示文摘Dysregulation of gut homeostasis is associated with irritable bowel syndrome(IBS),a chronic functional gastrointestinal disorder affecting approximately 11.2%of the global population.The poorly understood pathogenesis of IBS has impeded its treatment.Here,we report that the E3 ubiquitin ligase tripartite motif-containing 27(TRIM27)is weakly expressed in IBS but highly expressed in inflammatory bowel disease(IBD),a frequent chronic organic gastrointestinal disorder.Accordingly,knockout of Trim27 in mice causes spontaneously occurring IBS-like symptoms,including increased visceral hyperalgesia and abnormal stool features,as observed in IBS patients.Mechanistically,TRIM27 stabilizesβ-catenin and thus activates Wnt/β-catenin signaling to promote intestinal stem cell(ISC)self-renewal.Consistent with these findings,Trim27 deficiency disrupts organoid formation,which is rescued by reintroducing TRIM27 orβ-catenin.Furthermore,Wnt/β-catenin signaling activator treatment ameliorates IBS symptoms by promoting ISC self-renewal.Taken together,these data indicate that TRIM27 is critical for maintaining gut homeostasis,suggesting that targeting the TRIM27/Wnt/β-catenin axis could be a potential treatment strategy for IBS.Our study also indicates that TRIM27 might serve as a potential biomarker for differentiating IBS from IBD. | Jing Wang Dongdong Zhao Zehui Lei Pupu Ge Zhe Lu Qiyao Chai Yong Zhang Lihua Qiang Yang Yu Xinwen Zhang Bingxi Li Shu Zhu Lingqiang Zhang Cui Hua Liu | 2023 | Cellular & Molecular Immunology2023,20,2: | 2 |
