1Paleogene-Neogene stratigraphic realm and sedimentary sequence of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and their response to uplift of the plateau显示文摘Based on the data of 1:250000 geological mapping completed by CGS and the previous literature of the Cenozoic strata, 98 remnant basins and 5 stratigraphic realms with 13 stratigraphic subrealms have been recognized on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and its adjacent area. 4Magnetostratigraphy and Anisotropy of Magnetic Susceptibility of the Lulehe Formation in the Northeastern Qaidam Basin显示文摘The timing of onset of deposition of the Lulehe Formation is a significant factor in understanding the genesis of the Qaidam basin and the evolution of the Tibetan Plateau. Here, we describe a detailed magnetostratigraphic and magnetic fabric study of the middle and lower parts of the Lulehe Formation. A total of 234 samples were collected from 117 sites throughout a thickness of almost 460 m of fluvial and lacustrine deposits at the Xitieshan section in the northeastern Qaidam basin. Out of these sites, 94 sites yielded well-defined characteristic remanent magnetization components by stepwise thermal demagnetization and were used to establish the magnetostratigraphy of the studied section. Based on correlation with the geomagnetic polarity timescale, the studied section spans the period from 53.8 Ma to 50.7 Ma. Our results show a three-fold decrease in sedimentation rates as well as marked change in facies from braided river to delta and shore-shallow lake around 52.6 Ma, which suggests tectonic uplift of the northeastern Qaidam basin margin ridge was rapid at the onset of formation of the Qaidam basin and subsequently weakened after 52.6 Ma. The anisotropy of magnetic susceptibility results indicate that tectonic compression stress had reached the northeastern Tibetan Plateau by the early stages of Indo-Eurasian plate collision and that the direction of stress in the study area was NE-SW. Furthermore, a weakening of tectonic compression stress around 52.6 Ma is consistent with sedimentary records. 6Integration of lipidomics and metabolomics for in-depth understanding of cellular mechanism and disease progression显示文摘Mass spectrometry(MS)-based omics technologies are now widely used to profile small molecules in multiple matrices to confer comprehensive snapshots of cellular metabolic phenotypes.The metabolomes of cells,tissues,and organisms comprise a variety of molecules including lipids,amino acids,sugars,organic acids,and so on.Metabolomics mainly focus on the hydrophilic classes,while lipidomics has emerged as an independent omics owing to the complexities of the organismal lipidomes.The potential roles of lipids and small metabolites in disease pathogenesis have been widely investigated in various human diseases,but system-level understanding is largely lacking,which could be partly attributed to the insufficiency in terms of metabolite coverage and quantitation accuracy in current analytical technologies.While scientists are continuously striving to develop high-coverage omics approaches,integration of metabolomics and lipidomics is becoming an emerging approach to mechanistic investigation.Integration of metabolome and lipidome offers a complete atlas of the metabolic landscape,enabling comprehensive network analysis to identify critical metabolic drivers in disease pathology,facilitating the study of interconnection between lipids and other metabolites in disease progression.In this review,we summarize omics-based findings on the roles of lipids and metabolites in the pathogenesis of selected major diseases threatening public health.We also discuss the advantages of integrating lipidomics and metabolomics for in-depth understanding of molecular mechanism in disease pathogenesis.Raoxu Wang Bowen Li Sin Man Lam Guanghou Shui 2020Journal of Genetics and Genomics2020,47,2:15

8福建省部分县区小学生洗手干预效果评价显示文摘目的评价开展洗手干预措施后,对减少一年级小学生罹患腹泻和急性呼吸道疾病的影响。方法采取随机对照试验方法,从福建省3个县区,各随机选择30所小学,并随机分为对照组、标准干预组和强化干预组。对2个干预组所有一年级学生开展有关洗手卫生知识的培训,强化干预组同时采取提供肥皂、督促学生洗手的强化干预。研究期间老师记录并报告学生罹患腹泻、咽痛等10种症状导致缺课的情况。结果采取洗手干预后,标准干预组学生发热缺课率比对照组减少83.8%(P=0.04);强化干预组学生总缺课率比对照组减少41.7%(P=0.03),缺课天数减少53.9%(P=0.03);学生头痛伴其他症状的缺课率减少26.0%(P=0.04);因腹痛缺课率减少100%(P=0.03)。结论强化干预组具有较为明显的干预效果。马会来 Anna Bowen 欧剑鸣 曾光 2007中国公共卫生2007,23,8:14
9Salient Object Detection from Multi-spectral Remote Sensing Images with Deep Residual Network显示文摘alient object detection aims at identifying the visually interesting object regions that are consistent with human perception. Multispectral remote sensing images provide rich radiometric information in revealing the physical properties of the observed objects, which leads to great potential to perform salient object detection for remote sensing images. Conventional salient object detection methods often employ handcrafted features to predict saliency by evaluating the pixel-wise or superpixel-wise contrast. With the recent use of deep learning framework, in particular, fully convolutional neural networks, there has been profound progress in visual saliency detection. However, this success has not been extended to multispectral remote sensing images, and existing multispectral salient object detection methods are still mainly based on handcrafted features, essentially due to the difficulties in image acquisition and labeling. In this paper, we propose a novel deep residual network based on a top-down model, which is trained in an end-to-end manner to tackle the above issues in multispectral salient object detection. Our model effectively exploits the saliency cues at different levels of the deep residual network. To overcome the limited availability of remote sensing images in training of our deep residual network, we also introduce a new spectral image reconstruction model that can generate multispectral images from RGB images. 12Autophagy inhibition enhances apigenin-induced apoptosis in human breast cancer cells显示文摘Apigenin (4',5,7-trihydroxyflavone) is a member of the flavone subclass of flavonoids present in fruits and vegetables. The involvement of autophagy in the apigenin-induced apoptotic death of human breast cancer cells was investigated. Cell proliferation and viability were assessed by 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol- 2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide (MTT) and clonogenic assays. Flow cytometry, fluorescent staining and Western blot analysis were employed to detect apoptosis and autophagy, and the role of autophagy was assessed using autophagy inhibitors. Apigenin dose- and time-dependently repressed the proliferation and clonogenic survival of the human breast cancer T47D and MDA-MB-231 cell lines. The death of T47D and MDA-MB-231 cells was due to apoptosis associated with increased levels of Caspase3, PARP cleavage and Bax/Bcl-2 ratios. The results from flow cytometry and fluorescent staining also verified the occurrence of apoptosis. In addition, the apigenin-treated cells exhibited autophagy, as characterized by the appearance of autophagosomes under fluorescence microscopy and the accumulation of acidic vesicular organelles (AVOs) by flow cytometry. Furthermore, the results of the Western blot analysis revealed that the level of LC3-II, the processed form of LC3-I, was increased. Treatment with the autophagy inhibitor, 3-methyladenine (3-MA), significantly enhanced the apoptosis induced by apigenin, which was accompanied by an increase in the level of PARP cleavage. Similar results were also confirmed by flow cytometry and fluorescence microscopy. These results indicate that apigenin has apoptosis-and autophagy-inducing effects in breast cancer cells. 13Initial virtual flight test for a dynamically similar aircraft model with control augmentation system显示文摘To satisfy the validation requirements of flight control law for advanced aircraft,a wind tunnel based virtual flight testing has been implemented in a low speed wind tunnel.A 3-degree-offreedom gimbal,ventrally installed in the model,was used in conjunction with an actively controlled dynamically similar model of aircraft,which was equipped with the inertial measurement unit,attitude and heading reference system,embedded computer and servo-actuators.The model,which could be rotated around its center of gravity freely by the aerodynamic moments,together with the flow field,operator and real time control system made up the closed-loop testing circuit.The model is statically unstable in longitudinal direction,and it can fly stably in wind tunnel with the function of control augmentation of the flight control laws.The experimental results indicate that the model responds well to the operator's instructions.The response of the model in the tests shows reasonable agreement with the simulation results.The difference of response of angle of attack is less than 0.5°.The effect of stability augmentation and attitude control law was validated in the test,meanwhile the feasibility of virtual flight test technique treated as preliminary evaluation tool for advanced flight vehicle configuration research was also verified.Guo Linliang Zhu Minghong Nie Bowen Kong Peng Zhong Chengwen 2017Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2017,30,2:12

15Role of the Nocturnal Low-level Jet in the Formation of the Morning Precipitation Peak over the Dabie Mountains显示文摘The diurnal variation of precipitation over the Dabie Mountains(DBM) in eastern China during the 2013 mei-yu season is investigated with forecasts of a regional convection-permitting model. Simulated precipitation is verified against surface rain-gauge observations. The observed morning precipitation peak on the windward(relative to the prevailing synoptic-scale wind) side of the DBM is reproduced with good spatial and temporal accuracy. The interaction between the DBM and a nocturnal boundary layer low-level jet(BLJ) due to the inertial oscillation mechanism is shown to be responsible for this precipitation peak. The BLJ is aligned with the lower-level southwesterly synoptic-scale flow that carries abundant moisture.The BLJ core is established at around 0200 LST upwind of the mountains. It moves towards the DBM and reaches maximum intensity at about 70 km ahead of the mountains. 16Requirement of ultra-high voltage GIS arrester to voltage gradient of metal-oxide varistor显示文摘The surge arrester with excellent protection characteristics would decrease the overvoltage level ap- plied on the power apparatus to reduce their insulation levels and manufacturing bottleneck. The arrester for the 1000-kV ultra-high voltage ac power transmission system is designed as tank-type structure. The field-circuit combination numerical method combining the three-dimensional finite element method with circuit is proposed to analyze the potential distribution of GIS arrester. By comparing several design schemes, the most effective method to improve the potential distribution along the varistor column is to increase the voltage gradient of the ZnO varistor. Synthesizing several influential factors, the suitable voltage gradient of ZnO varistor should be controlled to 435 V/mm, and the resulted nonuniform degree of the potential distribution along the varistor column inside the GIS arrester would be controlled smaller than 10%. 17Cryptotanshinone suppresses key onco-proliferative and drugresistant pathways of chronic myeloid leukemia by targeting STAT5 and STAT3 phosphorylation显示文摘C-Myc and signal transducer and activator of transcription(STAT) family proteins have been proposed to be important downstream genes of BCR-ABL, which characterizes most cases of chronic myeloid leukemia(CML). Here, we report a c-Myc pathway-targeted screening of seven natural anticancer compounds, in which we identified cryptotanshinone as a highly promising agent for CML therapy. Cryptotanshinone depletes c-Myc in CML by repressing the phosphorylation of STAT5.Decreased viability of K562 cells correlated with p-STAT5 suppression. Unexpectedly, imatinib activates rather than inhibits the phosphorylation of STAT3 in K562 cells. We demonstrated that cryptotanshinone, as a dual inhibitor of p-STAT5 and p-STAT3,can effectively block IL-6-mediated STAT3 activation and reverse BCR-ABL kinase-independent drug resistance. Moreover, we showed that the epigenetic rebalance between decreased BCR-ABL/STAT5/c-Myc and enhanced STAT3/multi-drug resistance(MDR) pathways is characteristic of the cancer stem cell-like property of K562/ADR. Simultaneously suppressing these two pathways using cryptotanshinone proves to be critical for the malignant network redress and MDR reversal of K562/ADR. 20Advances in ultra-high temperature ceramics,composites,and coatings显示文摘Ultra-high temperature ceramics(UHTCs)are generally referred to the carbides,nitrides,and borides of the transition metals,with the Group IVB compounds(Zr&Hf)and TaC as the main focus.The UHTCs are endowed with ultra-high melting points,excellent mechanical properties,and ablation resistance at elevated temperatures.These unique combinations of properties make them promising materials for extremely environmental structural applications in rocket and hypersonic vehicles,particularly nozzles,leading edges,and engine components,etc.In addition to bulk UHTCs,UHTC coatings and fiber reinforced UHTC composites are extensively developed and applied to avoid the intrinsic brittleness and poor thermal shock resistance of bulk ceramics.Recently,high-entropy UHTCs are developed rapidly and attract a lot of attention as an emerging direction for ultra-high temperature materials.This review presents the state of the art of processing approaches,microstructure design and properties of UHTCs from bulk materials to composites and coatings,as well as the future directions.Dewei NI Yuan CHENG Jiaping ZHANG Ji-Xuan LIU Ji ZOU Bowen CHEN Haoyang WU Hejun LI Shaoming DONG Jiecai HAN Xinghong ZHANG Qiangang FU Guo-Jun ZHANG 2022Journal of Advanced Ceramics2022,11,1:9
