How Work Organization Affects the Prevalence of WMSDs: A Case-control Study显示文摘Objective In this study, we aimed at exploring the association between work-related musculoskeletal disorders(WMSDs) and work organization based on a case-control study. Methods A total of 1938 workers who claimed to suffer from WMSDs were selected from Beijing, Henan, Hubei, and the Guangdong province. The control group consisted of 2009 workers employed in similar industries without severe disease or musculoskeletal discomforts. We used a modified version of the questionnaire developed by the NMQ and the DMQ to investigate individual and work-related factors. Results A total of 13 variables(P<0.1) were selected by the chi-square test and finally, 7 variables entered into the equation, with 6 variables reaching statistical significance(P<0.05). The odds ratios(OR) of ‘work changing with season' and ‘sufficient rest time' did not reach 1(0.749 and 0.441, respectively). In addition, ‘sufficient rest time' seemed to be the stronger protective factor according to its higher standardized coefficient. And ‘repetitive work every minute', ‘constantly repetitive work'(every day), ‘shortage of site personnel', and ‘often switching shifts with others' seemed to be the risk factors. Conclusion Work organization may have comprehensive effects on the occurrence of WMSDs. This pattern of associations suggests that further investigation into the mechanism of how work organization affects the prevalence of WMSDs is required. | LIU Lu CHEN Song Gen TANG Shi Chuan WANG Sheng HE Li Hua GUO Ze Hua LI Jing Yun YU Shan Fa WANG Zhong Xu | 2015 | Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2015,28,9: | 11
The interferon-stimulated exosomal hACE2 potently inhibits SARS-CoV-2 replication through competitively blocking the virus entry显示文摘Since the outbreak of coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19),it has become a global pandemic. The spike(S)protein of etiologic severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)specifically recognizes human angiotensin-converting enzyme 2(hACE2)as its receptor, which is recently identified as an interferon(IFN)-stimulated gene. Here,we find that hACE2 exists on the surface of exosomes released by different cell types, and the expression of exosomal hACE2 is increased by IFNα/β treatment. In particular, exosomal hACE2 can specifically block the cell entry of SARS-CoV-2,subsequently inhibit the replication of SARS-CoV-2 in vitro and ex vivo. Our findings have indicated that IFN is able to upregulate a viral receptor on the exosomes which competitively block the virus entry, exhibiting a potential antiviral strategy. | Junsong Zhang Feng Huang Baijin Xia Yaochang Yuan Fei Yu Guanwen Wang Qianyu Chen Qian Wang Yuzhuang Li Rong Li Zheng Song Ting Pan Jingliang Chen Gen Lu Hui Zhang | 2021 | Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2021,6,6: | 2

Design and commissioning of Brav measurement system for SC200 superconducting cyclotron显示文摘The SC200 proton therapy superconducting cyclotron was developed by ASIPP (Hefei, China) and JINR (Dubna, Russia). A measurement system was designed to assess the average radial component of the magnetic field (Brav) with 15 search coils in the median plane. The winding differences of the search coils affect the measurement accuracy of the Brav. Based on the electromagnetic induction principle, to measure the Brav accurately, this paper focuses on the design and commissioning of the Brav measurement system. The preliminary results confirm that the system design is reasonable and suitable. After testing the search coil at different speeds, the optimal speed was determined as 2.5 mm/s. The relative error was approximately 0.1% under the maximum radial component of the magnetic field Br of 7 G. The measurement precision was up to 1.0×10^-3, which can provide the required measurement tolerance of 3–7 G for Br in the median plane. The commissioning of the Brav measurement system is an important step for Br measurement. It can check and adjust the asymmetry of the superconducting coils (SCs). | Man-Man Xu Yun-Tao Song Gen Chen Yong-Hua Chen Kai-Zhong Ding Heng-Bo Li Jun Wang Jian Zhou | 2019 | Nuclear Science and Techniques2019,30,6: | 1
Design and testing of an internal hot-cathode-type PIG ion source for superconducting cyclotron显示文摘The superconducting cyclotron SC200 is intended to generate a 200 MeV, 400 nA proton beam for future particle therapy. The internal hot-cathode-type Penning ionization gauge (PIG) ion source for the SC200 is designed for the generation of hydrogen ions. A brief description of the design of ion source and test bench, which are used in SC200, is given in this paper. The ion source has been verified on the test bench, and the results indicated that the designed ion source meets the expected requirements. The lifetime of the filament exceeded 100 h in the test. In addition, the extraction voltage and the gas flow that influence the extracted ion current intensity have been tested in the experiment. | Shi-Wen Xu Yun-Tao Song Gen Chen Yu-Qian Chen Liu-Si Sheng Man-Man Xu Oleg Karamyshev Galina Karamysheva Grigori Shirkov | 2019 | Nuclear Science and Techniques2019,30,6: | 0
Mechanically conditioned cell sheets cultured on thermo-responsive surfaces promote bone regeneration显示文摘Cell sheet-based scaffold-free technology holds promise for tissue engineering applications and has been extensively explored during the past decades. However, efficient harvest and handling of cell sheets remain challenging, including insufficient extracellular matrix content and poor mechanical strength.Mechanical loading has been widely used to enhance extracellular matrix production in a variety of cell types. However, currently, there are no effective ways to apply mechanical loading to cell sheets. In this study,we prepared thermo-responsive elastomer substrates by grafting poly(N-isopropyl acrylamide)(PNIPAAm)to poly(dimethylsiloxane)(PDMS)surfaces. The effect of PNIPAAm grafting yields on cell behaviours was investigated to optimize surfaces suitable for cell sheet culturing and harvesting.Subsequently,MC3T3-E1 cells were cultured on the PDMS-g-PNIPAAm substrates under mechanical stimulation by cyclically stretching the substrates.Upon maturation, the cell sheets were harvested by lowering the temperature. We found that the extracellular matrix content and thickness of cell sheet were markedly elevated upon appropriate mechanical conditioning.Reverse transcription quantitative polymerase chain reaction and Western blot analyses further confirmed that the expression of osteogenic-specific genes and major matrix components were up-regulated.After implantation into the critical-sized calvarial defects of mice, the mechanically conditioned cell sheets significantly promoted new bone formation.Findings from this study reveal that thermo-responsive elastomer, together with mechanical conditioning, can potentially be applied to prepare high-quality cell sheets for bone tissue engineering. | Gen Wang Zhangqin Yuan Li Yu Yingkang Yu Pinghui Zhou Genglei Chu Huan Wang Qianping Guo Caihong Zhu Fengxuan Han Song Chen Bin Li | 2023 | Biomaterials Translational2023,4,1: | 0
Monitoring of CO_2 geological storage based on the passive surface waves显示文摘Carbon dioxide(CO2) capture and geological storage(CCS) is one of promising technologies for greenhouse gas effect mitigation. Many geotechnical challenges remain during carbon dioxide storage field practices, among which effectively detecting CO2 from deep underground is one of engineering problems. This paper reviews monitoring techniques currently used during CO2 injection and storage.A method developed based on measuring seismic microtremors is of main interest. This method was first successfully used to characterize a site in this paper. To explore its feasibility in CO2 storage monitoring, numerical simulations were conducted to investigate detectable changes in elastic wave signatures due to injection and geological storage of CO2. It is found that, although it is effective for shallow earth profile estimation, the surface wave velocity is not sensitive to the CO2 layer physical parameter variations, especially for a thin CO2 geological storage layer in a deep underground reservoir. | Dai Kaoshan Li Xiaofeng Song Xuehang Chen Gen Pan Yongdong Huang Zhenhua | 2014 | International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2014,24,5: | 0
Insights into spin polarization regulated exciton dissociation and charge separation of C_(3)N_(4)for efficient hydrogen evolution and simultaneous benzylamine oxidation显示文摘The employment of spin polarization under an external magnetic field holds great potential for the improvements of photocatalytic performance. However, owing to the huge difference in dielectric properties between ferromagnetic oxide and polymers, the photogenerated excitons with spin states are often limited to the ferromagnetic oxide wells, which leads to unsatisfactory activity. In this paper,a single-atom Co-doped C_(3)N_(4)photocatalyst is successfully synthesized for photocatalytic water splitting and simultaneous oxidation of benzylamine.Under a tiny external magnetic field(24.5 mT),the hydrogen production rate could reach at 3979.0μmol·g^(-1)·h^(-1),which is about 340 times that of C_(3)N_(4).Experimental results and theoretical calculations indicate that the interaction of Co d and N p orbital changes the symmetry center of C_(3)N_(4),resulting in an increase in dielectric constant and spin polarization. Moreover, magnetic fields further promote parallel electron spin, and the increased number of charges with the parallel spin-down state is likely to dissociate under the action of an external magnetic field. On the other hand, the Co-N bond provides a huge built-in electric field and active site for strengthening the charge transfer and surface reaction. This work not only deepens the understanding of spin polarization, but also enriches methods to accelerate electron-hole separation. | Gen Li Xiaomei Sun Peng Chen Meiyang Song Tianxiang Zhao Fei Liu Shuang-Feng Yin | 2023 | Nano Research2023,16,7: | 0
