| 2 | Vitamin B2 functionalized iron oxide nanozymes for mouth ulcer healing显示文摘Mouth ulcer is associated with inflammation and high risk of bacterial infection, which aggravates the patient's condition.Currently, there is no effective treatment for mouth ulcer. Herein, we report that vitamin-modified iron oxide nanoparticles improve the healing of mouth ulcer through anti-inflammation and antibacterial activities. We discovered that vitamin B2(VB2)modified iron oxide nanoparticles performed enhanced peroxidase-like, catalase-like, and superoxide dismutase(SOD)-like activities, acting as typical iron oxide nanozymes(IONzymes) with triad activities. In particular, VB2 modification significantly improved the SOD-like activity, thus providing a reactive oxygen species(ROS)-scavenging ability. Cellular antioxidant experiments showed that vitamin B2 modified IONzymes(VB2-IONzymes) protect human oral keratinocytes(HOK) and BALB/3 T3 cells from hydrogen peroxide(H2O2), and these cells have high biocompatibility to eukaryotic cells. In addition, VB2-IONzymes exerted an antibacterial activity against Streptococcus mutans, Staphylococcus aureus, and Escherichia coli. Importantly, VB2-IONzymes accelerated the recovery of mouth ulcer and reduced the local secretion of inflammatory factors in mouse ulcer model via ROS scavenging and antibacterial activity. | 3 | High-resolution Surface Relative Humidity Computation Using MODIS Image in Peninsular Malaysia显示文摘Forest fire is a serious disaster all over the world. The Fire Weather Index (FWI) System can be used in ap- plied forestry as a tool to investigate and manage all types of fire. Relative humidity (RH) is a very important parameter to calculate FWI. However, RH interpolated from meteorological data may not be able to provide precise and confident values for areas between far separated stations. The principal objective of this study is to provide high-resolution RH for FWI using MODIS data. The precipitable water vapor (PW) can be retrieved from MODIS using split window tech- niques. Four-year-time-series (2000-2003) of 8-day mean PW and specific humidity (Q) of Peninsular Malaysia were analyzed and the statistic expression between PW and Q was developed. The root-mean-square-error (RMSE) of Q es- timated by PW is generally less than 0.0004 and the correlation coefficient is 0.90. Based on the experiential formula between PW and Q, surface RH can be computed with combination of auxiliary data such as DEM and air temperature (Ta). The mean absolute errors of the estimated RH in Peninsular Malaysia are less than 5% compared to the measured RH and the correlation coefficient is 0.8219. | 7 | Changes and spatial patterns of eco-environment in the farming-pastoral region of northern China显示文摘This paper firstly selects 10 kinds of indexes to reflect eco-environment background condition and builds the multi-subject spatial database by using ground meteorological data, remote sensing data and DEM. It then discusses in detail the methods about evaluating eco-environment background condition and analyzing eco-environment change. The eco-environment background conditions of 1989 and 1999 are synthetically appraised. Finally, the paper analyzes the spatial distribution, quantitative change, the trend of change, the areas of change and the dynamic spatial pattern of eco-environment. The results are as follows: (1) The eco-environment background condition becomes worse from southeast to northwest in the farming-pastoral region of northern China. | 9 | WiSH:WiFi-Based Real-Time Human Detection显示文摘Sensorless sensing using wireless signals has been rapidly conceptualized and developed recently. Among numerous applications of WiFi-based sensing, human presence detection acts as a primary and fundamental function to boost applications in practice. Many complicated approaches have been proposed to achieve high detection accuracy, but they frequently omit various practical constraints such as real-time capability, computation efficiency, sampling rates, deployment efforts, etc. A practical detection system that works in realworld applicati ons is lacki ng. In this paper, we design and implement WiSH, a real-time system for con tactless human detection that is applicable for whole-day usage. WiSH employs lightweight yet effective methods and thus enables detection under practical conditions even on resource-limited devices with low signal sampling rates. We deploy WiSH on commodity desktops and customized tiny no des in different everyday scenarios. The experimental results dem on strate the superior performance of WiSH, which has a detection accuracy of >98% using a sampling rate of 20 Hz with an average detection delay of merely 1.5 s.
