| 1 | DFT study of difference caused by catalyst supports in Pt and Pd catalysis of oxygen reduction reaction显示文摘Based on an experimental phenomenon that catalytic activity of Pt and Pd for oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) changes with catalyst supports from C to TiO2, density function theory (DFT) was used to elucidate the cause behind the difference in catalysis caused by catalyst supports. First, factors closely associated with the first electron transfer of the ORR were assessed in the light of quantum chemistry. Then intermediate (atomic oxygen, O) adsorption strength on the catalyst surface was calculated. The results show that, in terms of minimum energy difference, the best orbital symmetry match, and the maximum orbital overlap, TiO2 does bring about a very positive effect on catalysts Pd/TiO2 for the first electron transfer of the ORR. Especially, TiO2 remarkably expands the space size of Pd/TiO2 HOMO orbital and improves orbital overlap of Pd/TiO2 HOMO and O2 LUMO. The analysis of deformation density and partial density of state shows that the strong interaction between Pt and Ti leads to a strong adsorption of intermediate O on Pt/TiO2, but the strong interaction between Pd and surface O causes positive net charge of Pd and a weak adsorption of intermediate O on Pd/TiO2. Thus, the ORR can proceed more smoothly on Pd/TiO2 than Pt/TiO2 in every respect of maximum orbital overlap and rate delay by intermediate O. The research also discloses that several factors lead to less activity of TiO2-supported Pt and Pd catalysts than the C-supported ones for the ORR. | 3 | Chemical oscillation in electrochemical oxidation of methanol on Pt surface显示文摘Based on dual path reaction mechanism, a nonlinear dynamics model reflecting the potential oscilla- tion in electrooxidation of methanol on Pt surface was established. The model involves three variables, the electrode potential (e), the surface coverage of carbon monoxide (x), and adsorbed water (y). The chemical reactions and electrode potential were coupled together through the rate constant ki = exp(ai(e ? ei)). The analysis to the established model discloses the following: there are different kinetics be- haviors in different ranges of current densities. The chemical oscillation in methanol electrooxidation is assigned to two aspects, one from poison mediate CO of methanol electrooxidation, which is the in- duced factor of the chemical oscillation, and the other from the oxygen-containing species, such as H2Oa. The formation and disappearance of H2Oa deeply depend on the electrode potential, and directly cause the chemical oscillation. The established model makes clear that the potential oscillation in methanol electrooxidation is the result of the feedback of electrode potential e on the reactions in- volving poison mediates CO and oxygen-containing species H2Oa. | 4 | Inhibiting Ice Accumulation on Conductors by Using Sheath Treated with Super-hydrophobic Surfaces显示文摘Ice accumulation on transmission lines often leads to great damage to power systems.Super-hydrophobic surfaces are proposed to inhibit ice accumulation on electrical power equipment.A novel anti-icing method was presented for conductors with super-hydrophobic sleeves.The super-hydrophobic sleeves were prepared by applying polydimethylsiloxane(PDMS) and nano-silica hybrid coating on the outer surface of polyethylen terephthalate(PET) sleeves.Hydrophobicity and ice adhesion strength of the super-hydrophobic surface were investigated.Ice accumulation experiments were carried out on ordinary conductors,super-hydrophobic coated conductors,PET sleeve-covered conductors,and super-hydrophobic PET sleeve-covered conductors.Ice accumulation morphology,accumulated ice weight,and the icicle length of these four types of conductors were studied and analyzed.At the end of the 3 h ice accumulation experiment,the ice weight and icicle length on the conductor with super-hydrophobic PET sleeve was only approximately one tenth and one seventh of that on the untreated conductor respectively.Furthermore,the water contact angles of super-hydrophobic coated aluminum surface and super-hydrophobic coated PET sleeve were about 163o in average.The results indicate that the super-hydrophobic coating is effective in inhibiting ice accumulation on conductors.However,the use of a super-hydrophobic PET sleeve is a significantly more effective method,comparing with the application of a super-hydrophobic coating directly on the conductor. | LI Jian GONG Yiyu LI Yong HU Jianlin SUN Caixin XIAO Daibo | 2013 | 高电压技术2013,39,10: | 2 |
| 5 | Analysis and Prevention for Oscillation Failure of Capacitive Micro-accelerometers显示文摘As actuator of the force-rebalanced servo loop, the electrostatic force generator of the micro-accelerometer shows high nonlinearity while the interpole of the micro-electro-mechanical system(MEMS) sensor is far away from its balance position. The control system cannot rebalance itself with the limited bandwidth after an external long overload, because the characteristics of the force generator differ from normal case. Although for similar problems, solutions with cascading lead-lag blocks, with the anti-windup(AW) technology, or with the sliding-mode control, are widely reported, the problems such as performance loss or difficulty to synthesize a digital controller still remain. Based on existing researches, remedies are developed by analyzing the characteristic of the system not only near the balance position, but also corresponding to the whole moveable range of the interpole, and a new controller is proposed. The solution is compared with the common solutions of cascading lead-lag blocks method, AW methods, and sliding mode methods. Comparison results show that the proposed solution avoid performance loss, compared to cascading lead-lag blocks solution; the proposed solution is easily synthesized and implemented in the analog servo loop of the micro-accelerometer, compared to digital AW methods; at the same time, the proposed solution avoids suffering the chattering effect problem but just utilize it, compared to the sliding-mode control solution. Nevertheless, comparison results show the solution is lack of commonality, since the solution is only more suitable to micro electrostatic force-rebalance system. The SIMULINK models with and without the proposed solution, taking typical micro-accelerometer parameters, have been set up for simulation; corresponding experiments utilizing electrometric method are also conducted after the successful simulations. Simulation and experiment results verify that the micro-accelerometer will reliably return to normal operation after external long overload with the proposed solution. | 7 | All five COVID-19 outbreaks during epidemic period of 2020/2021 in China were instigated by asymptomatic or pre-symptomatic individuals显示文摘Introduction:The significance of asymptomatic or pre-asymptomatic individuals in driving the COVID-19 epidemic in China or other countries remains uncertain.Method:We collected and analyzed all the epidemiologic and virological diagnostic details of the infected individuals released by public health authorities and reiterated every episode of outbreak on a timeline.All individuals associated with the five outbreaks had tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 infection.Results:In this study,all five COVID-19 outbreaks reported in China since October 2020 were analyzed.The Kashgar outbreak in Xinjiang province came into light for the first time on October 22,2020.However,it was initiated before October 11,2020,by a local asymptomatic import and export worker,who was infected at the working place.Subsequently,his wife caught the infection,which led to 430 more infections reported in the outbreak.The Beijing outbreak with 41 cases was noticed for the first time on December 22,2020.However,our analysis revealed that it was initiated by an asymptomatic individual from Indonesia on December 10,2020.The Shenyang outbreak,with 38 cases,noticed for the first time on December 23,2020,was initiated by a pre-symptomatic individual from South Korea on December 13,2020.Conclusion:The asymptomatic or pre-symptomatic individuals during the asymptomatic period were unsuspectingly infected by SARS-CoV-2,and unintentionally transmitted the virus to a large number of people.These findings suggest that early detection of asymptomatic or pre-symptomatic individuals is of critical importance in preventing future outbreaks or epidemics. | Caixin Yang Sihui Zhang Shan Lu Jing Yang Yanpeng Cheng Yue Liu Lijun Zhao Jian Gong Jianguo Xu | 2021 | Journal of Biosafety and Biosecurity2021,3,1: | 1 |

| 9 | Diurnal Circadian Lighting Accumulation Model:A Predictor of the Human Circadian Phase Shift Phenotype显示文摘Light is an important external factor that affects human circadian rhythms.This study aimed to explore the effects of different dimensions of diurnal light exposure on the physiological circadian phase shift(CPS)of the human body.A strict light exposure experiment with different timing schemes(8:00-12:00,13:00-17:00,18:00-22:00),durations(4 h,8 h)and effective circadian stimulus levels(circadian stimulus:0.35,0.55)was performed in an enclosed laboratory.Fourteen participants,including seven males and seven females,with a mean age of 24.29±2.43(mean±standard deviation),participated in this experiment and experienced all six lighting schemes.The results showed that both time factor(F_(3,40)=29.079,p<0.001,the power of the sample size=0.98)and circadian stimulus levels(T_(20)=−2.415,p=0.025,the power of sample size=0.76)sig-nificantly affect the CPS.On this basis,a diurnal circadian lighting accumulation(DCLA)-CPS model was proposed in the form of the Boltzmann function,and was validated by experimental data with high correlation(R^(2)=0.9320,RSS=0.1184),which provides strong support for rationally arranging the light level at different times of the day. | Dandan Hou Caixin Lin Yandan Lin | 2022 | Phenomics2022,2,1: | 1 |
