1Insulin sensitivity,βcell function,and adverse pregnancy outcomes in women with gestational diabetes显示文摘Background: The potential impact of β cell function and insulin sensitivity on adverse pregnancy outcomes in women with gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) remains uncertain. We aimed to investigate the association between β cell dysfunction, insulin resistance, and the composite adverse pregnancy outcomes.Methods: This observational study included 482 women diagnosed with GDM during pregnancy. Quantitative metrics on β cell function and insulin sensitivity during pregnancy were calculated using traditional equations. The association of β cell dysfunction and insulin resistance with the risk of the composite adverse pregnancy outcomes was investigated using multivariable-adjusted logistic regression models.Results: Multivariable-adjusted odds ratios (ORs) of adverse pregnancy outcomes across quartiles of homeostatic model assessment for insulin resistance (HOMA-IR) were 1.00, 0.95, 1.34, and 2.25, respectively (P for trend = 0.011). When HOMA-IR was considered as a continuous variable, the multivariable-adjusted OR of adverse pregnancy outcomes was 1.34 (95% confidence interval 1.16-1.56) for each 1-unit increase in HOMA-IR. Multivariable-adjusted ORs of adverse pregnancy outcomes across quartiles of homeostatic model assessment for β cell function (HOMA-β) were 1.00, 0.51, 0.60, and 0.53, respectively (P for trend = 0.068). When HOMA-β was considered as a continuous variable, the multivariable-adjusted OR of adverse pregnancy outcomes was 0.57 (95% CI 0.24-0.90) for each 1-unit increase in HOMA-β. However, other quantitative metrics were not associated with the composite adverse pregnancy outcomes.Conclusions: We demonstrated a significant association of β cell function and insulin sensitivity with the risk of adverse pregnancy outcomes. 3Hysteresis-Free, High-Performance Polymer-Dielectric Organic Field-Effect Transistors Enabled by Supercritical Fluid显示文摘Organic field-effect transistors(OFETs)are of the core units in organic electronic circuits,and the performance of OFETs replies critically on the properties of their dielectric layers.Owing to the intrinsic flexibility and natural compatibility with other organic components,organic polymers,such as poly(vinyl alcohol)(PVA),have emerged as highly interesting dielectric materials for OFETs.However,unsatisfactory issues,such as hysteresis,high subthreshold swing,and low effective carrier mobility,still considerably limit the practical applications of the polymer-dielectric OFETs for high-speed,low-voltage flexible organic circuits.This work develops a new approach of using supercritical CO_(2) fluid(SCCO_(2))treatment on PVA dielectrics to achieve remarkably high-performance polymer-dielectric OFETs.The SCCO_(2) treatment is able to completely eliminate the hysteresis in the transfer characteristics of OFETs,and it can also significantly reduce the device subthreshold slope to 0._(2)5 V/dec and enhance the saturation regime carrier mobility to 30.2 cm^(2) V^(-1) s^(-1),of which both the numbers are remarkable for flexible polymer-dielectric OFETs.It is further demonstrated that,coupling with an organic light-emitting diode(OLED),the SCCO_(2)-treated OFET is able to function very well under fast switching speed,which indicates that an excellent switching behavior of polymer-dielectric OFETs can be enabled by this SCCO_(2) approach.Considering the broad and essential applications of OFETs,we envision that this SCCO_(2) technology will have a very broad spectrum of applications for organic electronics,especially for high refresh rate and low-voltage flexible display devices.Yuhao Shi Yingkai Zheng Jialiang Wang Ran Zhao Tao Wang Changbin Zhao Kuan-Chang Chang Hong Meng Xinwei Wang 2020Research2020,,1:0
4Tuning SMSI to stabilize metallic Pd species:A case study on Pd/TiO_(2) for HCHO oxidation显示文摘Pretreatment of the carrier for supported catalysts can effectively improve the strong metal-support interaction(SMSI)and increase the dispersion of precious metals,which are critical to many important catalytic reactions.In this work,we tuned SMSI on Pd/TiO_(2)catalysts through inducing surface defects of TiO_(2)by pretreated with different atmospheres(H_(2)/N_(2),N_(2),O_(2)/N_(2))at the high temperature(800℃).Multiple characterization results illustrated that surface defects anchored Pd species and thus enhanced their dispersion.During reduction,Ti^(3+)species formed and transferred onto the metallic Pd species and then induced SMSI,which effectively stabilize Pd species in the metallic state.The stronger MSI,the more stability of Pd species.As a case,Pd/TiO_(2)–800H_(2),with strongest MSI,displayed the best HCHO oxidation performance at low temperature(10℃).Chunying Wang Xiaofeng Liu Jingyi Wang Yaobin Li Shaohua Xie Fudong Liu Changbin Zhang Yuming Zheng Wenpo Shan Hong He 2024Chinese Chemical Letters2024,35,3:0
5Vulnerability assessment of UAV engine to laser based on improved shotline method显示文摘Laser anti-drone technology is entering the sequence of actual combat,and it is necessary to consider the vulnerability of typical functional parts of UAVs.Since the concept of'vulnerability'was proposed,a variety of analysis programs for battlefield targets to traditional weapons have been developed,but a comprehensive assessment methodology for targets'vulnerability to laser is still missing.Based on the shotline method,this paper proposes a method that equates laser beam to shotline array,an efficient vulnerability analysis program of target to laser is established by this method,and the program includes the circuit board and the wire into the vulnerability analysis category,which improves the precision of the vulnerability analysis.Taking the UAV engine part as the target of vulnerability analysis,combine with the'life-death unit method'to calculate the laser penetration rate of various materials of the UAV,and the influence of laser weapon system parameters and striking orientation on the killing probability is quantified after introducing the penetration rate into the vulnerability analysis program.The quantitative analysis method proposed in this paper has certain general expansibility,which can provide a fresh idea for the vulnerability analysis of other targets to laser.Le Liu Chengyang Xu Changbin Zheng Sheng Cai Chunrui Wang Jin Guo 2024Defence Technology(防务技术)2024,33,3:0
6Enriching the surface oxygen as efficient anchoring site of highly dispersed Ru for enhanced hydrogenolysis activity显示文摘While supported-noble-metal catalysts have been widely investigated in hydrotreating reactions,a crucial issue that the catalytic system is still confronted with is developing an efficient approach to gain the high dispersion of noble metals under reducing conditions.In this work,Ru was supported on two MnOx with different specific surface areas(SSAs),and a much higher dispersion of Ru(83%,in contrast to 42%of the other one)was surprisingly observed over MnO with much lower SSA(around one-third of the other one).A suite of complementary characterizations demonstrates that,compared with the catalyst with high SSA(Ru/MnO-H),the MnO in the one with lower SSA(Ru/MnO-L)contains enriched surface oxygen that creates more abundant sites and bears stronger strength to anchor Ru species,mitigating the aggregation of Ru under reducing condition.This not only enriched active sites(i.e.,exposed Ru),but also created a more electron-deficient Ru domain and thus enhanced the redox property of the surface,leading to the lower barrier for C–O bond hydrogenolysis.In the hydrogenolysis of diphenyl ether,Ru/MnO-L exhibited significantly enhanced activity(i.e.,6 folds of Ru/MnO-H)and high stability.This work provides an approach to regulate the surface chemistry of support for the high dispersion of supported metal.Hongfei Xiao Jianghao Zhang Chuo Du Yanxia Zheng Shuchao Ge Jinhou Fang Shuang Li Changbin Zhang 2023Nano Research2023,16,10:0
