| 1 | Efficacy and safety of darbepoetin alfa injection replacing epoetin alfa injection for the treatment of renal anemia in Chinese hemodialysis patients:A randomized,open-label,parallel-group,noninferiority phase III trial显示文摘Background:This study was to explore the clinical efficacy and safety of darbepoetin alfa injection replacing epoetin alfa injection(recombinant human erythropoietin injection,rHuEPO)for the treatment of anemia associated with chronic kidney failure in Chinese patients undergoing hemodialysis.Method:This study was a multicenter,randomized,open-label,intergroup parallel control phase III noninferiority trial from April 19,2013 to September 9,2014 at 25 sites.In this study,the members of the darbepoetin alfa group underwent intravenous administration once per week or once every two weeks.The members of the control drug epoetin alfa group underwent intravenous administration two or three times per week.All subjects underwent epoetin alfa administration during the 8-week baseline period.After that,subjects were randomly assigned to the darbepoetin alfa group or epoetin alfa group.The noninferiority in the changes of the average Hb concentrations from the baseline to the end of the evaluation period(noninferiority threshold:-1.0 g/dl)was tested between the two treatments.The time-dependent hemoglobin(Hb)concentration and the maintenance rate of the target Hb concentration(the proportion of subjects with Hb concentrations between 10.0 and 12.0 g/dl)were also evaluated.Iron metabolism,including changes in the serum iron,total iron-binding capacity,ferritin,transferrin saturation,and comparisons of the dose adjustments between the two groups during the treatment period were analyzed further.Adverse events(AEs)were also observed and compared,and the safety was analyzed between the two treatment groups.The conversion rate switching from epoetin alfa to darbepoetin alfa was also discussed.SAS?software version 9.2 was used to perform all statistical analyses.Descriptive statistics were used for all efficacy,safety,and demographic variable analyses,including for the primary efficacy indicators.Results:Four hundred and sixty-six patients were enrolled in this study,and ultimately 384 cases were analyzed for safety,including 267 cases in the darbepoetin alfa group and 117 cases in the epoetin alfa group.There were 211 cases in the per-protocol set,including 152 cases in the darbepoetin alfa group and 59 cases in the epoetin alfa group.The changes in the average Hb concentrations from the baseline to the end of the evaluation period were-0.07 and-0.15 g/dl in the darbepoetin alfa group and epoetin alfa group respectively.The difference between the two groups was 0.08 g/dl(95%confidence interval[CI]:-0.22 to 0.39),and the lower limit of the 95%CI was-0.22>-1.0 g/dl.The average Hb concentrations of the two groups were 10.88-11.43 g/dl(darbepoetin alfa)and 10.91-11.38 g/dl(epoetin alfa)during the study period of Weeks 0-28,with the maintenance rates of the target Hb concentration ranging within 71%-87%and 78%-95%in the darbepoetin alfa group and epoetin alfa group respectively.During the period of comparison between the two groups,the incidence of AEs in the darbepoetin alfa group was 61.42%,while in the epoetin alfa group it was 56.41%.All of the adverse events and reactions in the study were those commonly associated with hemodialysis.Conclusion:The overall efficacy and safety of darbepoetin alfa for the treatment of Chinese renal anemia patients undergoing hemodialysis are consistent with those of epoetin alfa. | Bicheng Liu Nan Chen Jinghong Zhao Aiping Yin Xiongfei Wu Changying Xing Gengru Jiang Junzhou Fu Mei Wang Rong Wang Jianying Niu Ping Fu Zhaohui Ni Fanfan Hou Jiuyang Zhao Jing Chen Yuqing Chen Wei Shi Jianghua Chen Wenge Li Gang Xu Ling Zhong Wenhu Liu Guohua Ding Yuichiro Kondo Changhe Yue Changlin Mei | 2022 | Chronic Diseases and Translational Medicine2022,8,2: | 1 |

A system simulation based on the model is completed to predict the strip profile after the interstand deformation. | 6 | Pressure-dependent electronic,optical,and mechanical properties of antiperovskite X_(3)NP(X=Ca,Mg):A first-principles study显示文摘Hydrostatic pressure provides an efficient way to tune and optimize the properties of solid materials without chang-ing their composition.In this work,we investigate the electronic,optical,and mechanical properties of antiperovskite X_(3)NP(X^(2+)=Ca,Mg)upon compression by first-principles calculations.Our results reveal that the system is anisotropic,and the lat-tice constant a of X_(3)NP exhibits the fastest rate of decrease upon compression among the three directions,which is different from the typical Pnma phase of halide and chalcogenide perovskites.Meanwhile,Ca_(3)NP has higher compressibility than Mg_(3)NP due to its small bulk modulus.The electronic and optical properties of Mg_(3)NP show small fluctuations upon compression,but those of Ca_(3)NP are more sensitive to pressure due to its higher compressibility and lower unoccupied 3d orbital energy.For example,the band gap,lattice dielectric constant,and exciton binding energy of Ca_(3)NP decrease rapidly as the pressure increases.In addition,the increase in pressure significantly improves the optical absorption and theoretical conversion effi-ciency of Ca_(3)NP.Finally,the mechanical properties of X_(3)NP are also increased upon compression due to the reduction in bond length,while inducing a brittle-to-ductile transition.Our research provides theoretical guidance and insights for future experi-mental tuning of the physical properties of antiperovskite semiconductors by pressure. | Chunbao Feng Changhe Wu Xin Luo Tao Hu Fanchuan Chen Shichang Li Shengnan Duan Wenjie Hou Dengfeng Li Gang Tang Gang Zhang | 2023 | Journal of Semiconductors2023,44,10: | 0 |
| 7 | Circular Dammann gratings for enhanced control of the ring profile of perfect optical vortices显示文摘Perfect optical vortices(POVs)provide a solution to address the challenge induced by strong dependence of classical optical vortices on their carried topological charges.However,traditional POVs are all shaped into bright rings with a single main lobe along the radial direction.Here we propose a method for enhanced control on the ring profile(the radial intensity profile of circular rings)of POVs based on modulated circular sine/cosine radial functions,which is realized by a circular Dammann grating embedded with a spiral phase.Specifically,a type of'absolute'dark POVs surrounded by two bright lobe rings in each side is presented,which provides a perfect annular potential well along those dark impulse rings for trapping low-index particles,cells,or quantum gases.In addition,several POVs with different ring profiles,including conventional POVs with bright rings,the dark POVs mentioned above,and also POVs with tunable ring profiles,are demonstrated.This work opens up new possibilities to controllably tune the ring profile of perfect vortices,and this type of generalized POVs will enrich the content of singular optics and expand the application scope of perfect vortices in a range of areas including optical manipulation,both quantum and classical optical communications,enhanced optical imaging,and also novel structured pumping lasers. | JUNJIE YU CHAOFENG MIAO JUN WU CHANGHE ZHOU | 2020 | Photonics Research2020,8,5: | 0 |
| 8 | Achieving macroscale superlubricity with ultra-short running-in period by using polyethylene glycol-tannic acid complex green lubricant显示文摘Superlubricating materials can greatly reduce the energy consumed and economic losses by unnecessary friction.However,a long pre-running-in period is indispensable for achieving superlubricity;this leads to severe wear on the surface of friction pairs and has become one of the important factors in the wear of superlubricating materials.In this study,a polyethylene glycol-tannic acid complex green liquid lubricant(PEG10000-TA)was designed to achieve macroscale superlubricity with an ultrashort running-in period of 9 s under a contact pressure of up to 410 MPa,and the wear rate was only 1.19×10^(–8)mm^(3)·N^(−1)·m^(−1).This is the shortest running-in time required to achieve superlubricity in Si_(3)N_(4)/glass(SiO_(2)).The results show that the strong hydrogen bonds between PEG and TA molecules can significantly reduce the time required for the tribochemical reaction,allowing the lubricating material to reach the state of superlubrication rapidly.Furthermore,the strong hydrogen bond can share a large load while fixing free water molecules in the contact zone to reduce shear interaction.These findings will help advance the use of liquid superlubricity technology in industrial and biomedical. | Changhe DU Tongtong YU Zishuai WU Liqiang ZHANG Ruilin SHEN Xiaojuan LI Min FENG Yange FENG Daoai WANG | 2023 | Friction2023,11,5: | 0 |
