1Normobaric oxygen for cerebral ischemic injury显示文摘Oxygen inhalation has been shown to increase oxygen supply to tissues after cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury,protecting injured neural cells.However,hyperbaric oxygen may aggravate oxidative stress.By contrast,normobaric oxygen has the rapid and non-invasive characteristics and may have therapeutic effects on ischemic/hypoxic disease.Rats inhaled normobaric oxygen(95%O2)for 6 consecutive days,and then a rat model of focal cerebral ischemia was established.Nissl and 2,3,5-triphenyltetrazolium chloride(TTC)staining revealed that normobaric oxygen pretreatment improved neurological deficits and reduced infarct volume.Immunohistochemical staining and western blot assay revealed that the expression of hypoxia-inducible factor-1α,Notch-1,vascular endothelial growth factor and erythropoietin were increased.Behavioral studies also verified that neurological deficit scores increased.The hypoxia-inducible factor inhibitor 2-methoxyestradiol treatment at 1 hour before administration of normobaric oxygen could suppress the protective effect of normobaric oxygen.Given these observations,normobaric oxygen pretreatment may alleviate cerebral ischemic injury via the hypoxia-inducible factor signal pathway.Chunhua Chen Haimeng Cui Zihe Li Ruifeng Wang Changman Zhou 2013Neural Regeneration Research2013,8,31:3

15Expression of neurofilament gene in spinal motoneurons during neural regeneration显示文摘The technique in situ hybridization was used to measure the levels of light (NF-L),medium(NF-M) and heavy (NF-H) neurofilament protein subunits mRNA in L4-6 spinal motoneurons in adult rat during regeneration following a unilateral crush of the sciatic nerve.It was found that the hybridization signals of each neurofilament subunit mRNA were dramatically decreased in spinal motoneurons postaxotomy by light microscopy. The hybridization signals of NF-L and NF-M mRNA were located in cytoplasm of neurons, whereas NF-H mRNA was found in both nucleus and cytoplasm of neurons. lmage analysis showed that the encoding levels of mRNA for each of neurofilament subunit mRNA reduced on the 3rd d and returned to control levels on the 28th d following the lesion. The relative levels of mRNA coding for each neurofilament subunit were significantly different. The lowest level of NF-L mRNA was observed at 5 d postaxotomy, and that of NF-M, NF-H mRNA on the 7th and 10th d after injury. 16Autotoxicity of Water Extracts and Decomposition Liquids of Tumorous Stem Mustard(Brassica juncea var.tumida Tsen et Lee) Residues on Seed Germination and Seedling Growth of Tumorous Stem Mustard显示文摘[Objective] This study aimed to explore whether there is autotoxicity in tumorous stem mustard through studying the allelopathic effects of water extracts and decomposition liquids of tumorous stem mustard residues on seed germination and seedling growth of tumorous stem mustard.[Method] With Fuza No.2 as the experimental material,the effects of different concentrations of leaf extract,root extract,7-d decomposition liquid,15-d decomposition liquid of tumorous stem mustard on seed germination and seedling growth of tumorous stem mustard were investigated.[Result] Compared with those in the control,the four kinds of 100% treatment solutions all significantly reduced the seed germination rate,seed germination vigor,root length,plant height and fresh weight of tumorous stem mustard(P<0.05),and significantly increased the malondialdehyde(MDA) content,catalase(CAT) activity,peroxidase(POD) activity and superoxide dismutase(SOD) activity of young seedlings of tumorous stem mustard;the allelopathic effects of the four kinds of water extracts and decomposition liquids on seed germination and root length of tumorous stem mustard were weakened with the decreased concentration;for the four kinds of water extracts and decomposition liquids,low-concentration treatment solutions promoted the increase of plant height and fresh weight,while high-concentration treatment solutions inhibited the increase of plant height and fresh weight of young seedlings of tumorous stem mustard;the allelopathic effect of leaf extract on seed germination of tumorous stem mustard was stronger than those of root extract and decomposition liquids,the allelopathic effects of decomposition liquids on seedling growth of tumorous stem mustard were stronger than those of water extracts,the inhibitory effect of leaf extract on seed germination and seedling growth of tumorous stem mustard were stronger than that of root extract,and the inhibitory effect of 15-d decomposition liquid on seed germination and seedling growth of tumorous stem mustard was stronger than that of 7-d decomposition liquid.[Conclusion] The water extracts and decomposition liquids of tumorous stem mustard residues had certain autotoxicity on seed germination and seedling growth of tumorous stem mustard,and their allelopathic effects had a concentration-dependent manner.It could be presumed that the autotoxicity of tumorous stem mustard is the main cause of continuous cropping obstacle.Bo JIANG Xianrong ZHOU Jin SHANG Jianhua WANG Changman LI Huichao WANG Miao YANG 2016Agricultural Science & Technology2016,17,7:0
17Transcriptome Profiling Reveals Candidate Genes Involved in Stem Swelling of Tumorous Stem Mustard显示文摘Tumorous stem mustard is well known for its swollen stem from which pickled“Fuling Mustard”is made.The molecular mechanisms governing the formation of the modified swollen stems are still poorly understood.This paper aims to identify candidate genes involved in the developmental regulation of the swollen stems.We sought to map previously published transcriptome datasets for Brassica juncea,including those derived from swollen stems at four different developmental stages and a mutant variety without swollen stems.Using pairwise comparisons of the five datasets,we identified 31368 differentially expressed genes(DEGs).A total of 55 DEGs related to plant hormone signal transduction and 259 continuously up-or downregulated transcription factors were identified during stem development using Gene Ontology(GO)analysis.Quantitative real-time PCR(qRT-PCR)results showed that the expressions of 12 important candidate DEGs were consistent with RNA-seq results.Our study provided digital gene expression profiling and a dynamic view of the swollen stem development process.Furthermore,we identified candidate genes for further studies on mechanisms of modified stem development in non-model species.Lina Du Changman Li Rui Su Chunyan Tan Biao Lai 2020Horticultural Plant Journal2020,6,3:0
