An 85mW 14-bit 150MS/s Pipelined ADC with a Merged First and Second MDAC显示文摘A low-power 14-bit 150MS/s analog-to-digital converter(ADC) is presented for communication applications.Range scaling enables a maximal 2-Vp-p input with a single-stage opamp adopted.Opamp and capacitor sharing between the first multiplying digital-to-analog converter(MDAC)and the second one reduces the total opamp power further. The dedicated sample-andhold amplifier(SHA) is removed to lower the power and the noise. The blind calibration of linearity errors is proposed to improve the performance. The prototype ADC is fabricated in a 130 nm CMOS process with a 1.3-V supply voltage. The SNDR of the ADC is 71.3 dB with a 2.4 MHz input and remains 68.5 dB for a 120 MHz input. It consumes 85 mW,which includes 57 mW for the ADC core,11 mW for the low jitter clock receiver and 17 mW for the high-speed reference buffer. | LI Weitao LI Fule YANG Changyi LI Shengjing WANG Zhihua | 2015 | China Communications2015,12,5: | 6
Apple detection from apple tree image based on BP neural network and Hough transform显示文摘Using machine vision to accurately identify apple number on the tree is becoming the key supporting technology for orchard precision production management. For adapting to the complexity of the field environment in various detection situations, such as illumination changes, color variation, fruit overlap, and branches and leaves shading,a robust algorithm for detecting and counting apples based on their color and shape modes was proposed.Firstly,BP(back propagation)neural network was used to train apple color identification model.Accordingly the irrelevant background was removed by using the trained neural network model and the image only containing the apple color pixels was acquired. Then apple edge detection was carried out after morphological operations on the obtained image. Finally, the image was processed by using circle Hough transform algorithm, and apples were located with the help of calculating the center coordinates of each apple edge circle. The validation experimental results showed that the correlation coefficient of R2 between the proposed approaches based counting and manually counting reached 0.985.It illustrated that the proposed algorithm could be used to detect and count apples from apple trees’images taken in field environment with a high precision and strong anti-jamming feature. | Xiao Changyi Zheng Lihua Li Minzan Chen Yuan Mai Chunyan | 2015 | International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2015,8,6: | 5
Photothermal therapy with regulated Nrf2/NF-κB signaling pathway for treating bacteria-induced periodontitis显示文摘Periodontitis is an inflammatory disease initiated by bacterial infection, developed by excessive immune response, and aggravated by high level of reactive oxygen species(ROS).Hence, herein,a versatile metal-organic framework(MOF)-based nanoplatform is prepared using mesoporous Prussian blue(MPB)nanoparticles to load BA,denoted as MPB-BA.The established MPB-BA nanoplatform serves as a shelter and reservoir for vulnerable immunomodulatory drug BA,which possesses antioxidant,anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial effects.Thus,MPB-BA can exert its antioxidant,anti-inflammatory functions through scavenging intracellular ROS to switch macrophages from M1 to M2 phenotype so as to relieve inflammation. The underlying molecular mechanism lies in the upregulation of phosphorylated nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2(Nrf2)to scavenge ROS and subsequently inhibit the nuclear factor kappa-B(NF-κB)signal pathway.Moreover,MPB-BA also exhibited efficient photothermal antibacterial activity against periodontal pathogens under near-infrared(NIR)light irradiation. In vivo RNA sequencing results revealed the high involvement of both antioxidant and anti-inflammatory pathways after MPB-BA application.Meanwhile,micro-CT and immunohistochemical staining of p-Nrf2 and p-P65 further confirmed the superior therapeutic effects of MPB-BA than minocycline hydrochloride. This work may provide an insight into the treatment of periodontitis by regulating Nrf2/NF-κB signaling pathway through photothermal bioplatform-assisted immunotherapy. | Yujuan Tian Ying Li Jialin Liu Yi Lin Jian Jiao Bo Chen Wanmeng Wang Shuilin Wu Changyi Li | 2022 | Bioactive Materials2022,7,3: | 3
The change of magnetic inclination angles associated with the X3.4 flare on December 13,2006显示文摘Recent studies showed a consistent pattern of changes in the sunspot structure associated with major flares: part of the peripheral penumbral regions vanishes during flares, and meanwhile, the umbral cores and/or inner penumbral regions are darkened. To understand the underlying physics of these observations, we compare the magnetic inclination angle in the decayed peripheral and the enhanced inner penumbral regions before and after the 4B/X3.4 flare of 2006 December 13 by using the high-resolution vector magnetograms from Hinode. We find that the mean inclination angle in the decayed penumbra increases after the flare while that in the enhanced penumbra near flaring neutral line decreases. The result confirms the previous idea that two components of a δ sunspot become connected after flares. As a result of new connection, peripheral penumbral fields change from a more inclined to a more vertical configuration and transverse fields in umbral core and inner penumbral regions increase substantially (Liu et al. 2005). The flare-associated changes of Doppler width as well as other parameters (the transverse field strength, continuum intensity and filling factor) are also presented. | LI YiXuan JING Ju TAN ChangYi WANG HaiMin | 2009 | Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2009,52,11: | 2

Ag_(3)PO_(4) decorated black urchin-like defective TiO_(2) for rapid and long-term bacteria-killing under visible light显示文摘Both phototherapy via photocatalysts and physical puncture by artificial nanostructures are promising substitutes for antibiotics when treating drug-resistant bacterial infectious diseases. However, the photodynamic therapeutic efficacy of photocatalysts is seriously restricted by the rapid recombination of photogenerated electron-hole pairs.Meanwhile, the nanostructures of physical puncture are limited to two-dimensional(2D)platforms,and they cannot be fully used yet. Thus, this research developed a synergistic system of Ag_(3)PO_(4) nanoparticles(NPs),decorated with black urchin-like defective TiO_(2)(BU-TiO_(2-X)/Ag_(3)PO_(4)).These NPs had a decreased bandgap compared to BU-TiO_(2-X),and BU-TiO_(2)-X/Ag_(3)PO_(4)(3:1)exhibited the lowest bandgap and the highest separation efficiency for photogenerated electron-hole pairs. After combination with BU-TiO_(2-X),the photostability of Ag_(3)PO_(4) improved because the oxygen vacancy of BU-TiO_(2-X) retards the reduction of Ag^(+) in Ag_(3)PO_(4) into Ag^(0),thus reducing its toxicity. In addition, the nanospikes on the surface of BU-TiO_(2-X) can, from all directions, physically puncture bacterial cells, thus assisting the hybrid’s photodynamic therapeutic effects, alongside the small amount of Ag^(+) released from Ag_(3)PO_(4).This achieves synergy, endowing the hybrid with high antibacterial efficacy of 99.76±0.15%and 99.85±0.09%against Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus, respectively, after light irradiation for 20 min followed by darkness for 12 h.It is anticipated that these findings may bring new insight for developing synergistic treatment strategies against bacterial infectious diseases or pathogenic bacterial polluted environments. | Yingde Xu Xiangmei Liu Yufeng Zheng Changyi Li Kelvin Wai Kwok Yeung Zhenduo Cui Yanqin Liang Zhaoyang Li Shengli Zhu Shuilin Wu | 2021 | Bioactive Materials2021,6,6: | 2

Using tea nanoclusters asβ-lactamase inhibitors to cure multidrug-resistant bacterial pneumonia:A promising therapeutic strategy by Chinese materioherbology显示文摘β-lactamase,a kind of hydrolase in multi-drug resistant pathogens, can hydrolyzeβ-lactam antibiotics and make these kinds of antibiotics invalid.Small-molecular inhibitors about the enzyme and their mechanism are widely investigated but they may result in unavoidable adverse reactions and drug-resistance.Herein,we propose a new therapeutic strategy of Chinese materioherbology,in which herbal medicine or traditional Chinese medicinal herbs can be employed as biological functional materials or refreshed/excited by means of materialogy.Nat-ural tea nanoclusters(TNCs)were extracted from tea to inhibitβ-lactamase.Different from the mechanism of small-molecular inhibitors inhibiting enzymes by binding to the corresponding active sites, the TNCs as a cap cover the protein pocket and create a spatial barrier between the active sites and antibiotics, which was named“capping-pocket”effect.TNCs were combined with amoxicillin sodium(Amo)to treat the methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus(MRSA)pneumonia in mice. This combinatorial therapy remarkably outperforms antibiotic monotherapy in reducing MRSA infections and the associated inflammation in mice. The therapeutic strategy exhibited excellent biosafety, without any side effects, even in piglets.Hence,TNCs have great clinical value in potentiatingβ-lactam antibiotic activity for combatting multi-drug resistant pathogen infections and the'pocket capping'effect can guide the design of new enzyme inhibitors in near future. | Ziao Zhou Jun Li Lei Tan Xiangmei Liu Yufeng Zheng Zhenduo Cui Changyi Li Kelvin Wai Kwok Yeung Zhaoyang Li Yanqin Liang Shengli Zhu Shuilin Wu | 2022 | Fundamental Research2022,2,3: | 1

Effects of urea-N and CO_(2) coupling fertilization on the growth, photosynthesis, yield and anthocyanin content of hydroponic purple cabbage Brassica campestris ssp.chinensis显示文摘Water and fertilizer coupling is a high-efficiency technology for the development of facility agriculture. However, the interaction effect of nitrogen(N)and air carbon dioxide(CO_(2))on hydroponic purple cabbage, especially on its leaf anthocyanins under hydroponic solution systems, remains unexplored. In this study, six treatments were set as C0N0,C0N2,C0N4,C1N0,C1N2 and C1N4,with N0,N2 and N4 being 0.0 g/L,0.2 g/L and 0.4 g/L exogenous urea-N to hydroponic solution dilution,respectively.C0 and C1 were set as with and without CO_(2)fertilizer(i.e.,800 g CO_(2)agent added one week after transplanting and 600 g CO_(2)agent added when the plant reached 15 cm in height),respectively.Pot experiments were conducted to investigate the interaction effect of N and air CO_(2)(N×CO_(2))on the growth, photosynthesis, yield and anthocyanin content of hydroponic purple cabbage Brassica campestris ssp.chinensis.The results showed N×CO_(2)extremely significantly influenced plant height(H),net photosynthetic rate(Pn),stomatal conductance(Gs),intercellular oxidation concentration(Ci),transpiration rate(Tr),leaf water use efficiency(LWUE)and yield. The C1N0 treatment had the largest yield at 262.5 g/plant,with higher values for root length, root weight, plant height and leaf number than the other treatments. The Pn,Ci and Tr of C1N4 were the highest at 3.05μmol CO_(2)/m2·s,352.8μmol CO_(2)/m2·s and 2.31 mmol H2O/m2·s,respectively.The C1N2 treatment received the largest Gs value of 0.70 mol H2O/m2·s and the largest Tr of 2.31 mmol H2O/m2·s.There was the highest LWUE for C0N2(1.41)and the highest anthocyanin content for C1N2(1.35 mg/kg).There was a significant negative correlation between leaf number and anthocyanin(r=-0.414,p<0.05).The findings demonstrated that adding CO_(2)fertilizer and 0.2 g/L exogenous urea-N to hydroponic solution dilution is a potential N×CO_(2)coupling strategy to increase anthocyanin and the yield of purple cabbage. | Danyan Chen Yuanyuan Feng Ya Liu Juan Hu Shilong Li Jingze Ma Xinyu Lu Xiaorui Jiang Shuhui Sun Zhi Yang Changyi Wang | 2023 | International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2023,16,5: | 0
Micro-Newton scale variable thrust control technique and its noise problem for drag-free satellite platforms:a review显示文摘High-precision detection in fundamental space physics, such as space gravitational wave detection,high-precision earth gravity field measurement, and reference frame drag effect measurement,is the key to achieving important breakthroughs in the scientific study of fundamental space physics.Acquiring high-precision measurements requires high-performance satellite platforms to achieve“drag-free control”in a near“pure gravity”flight environment. The critical technology for drag-free control is variable thrust control at the micro-Newton scale.Thrust noise is the most important technical indicator for achieving drag-free flight. However, there is no literature about the current status and future prospects of variable thrust control based on thrust noise. Therefore, the micro-Newton variable thrust control technology and the thrust noise of the drag-free satellite platform are reviewed in this work.Firstly, the research status of micro-Newton scale variable thrust control technology and its applications to drag-free satellite platforms are introduced. Then, the noise problem is analyzed in detail and its solution is theoretically investigated in three aspects:“cross-basin flow problem,”“control problem,”and“system instability and multiple-coupled problem.”Finally,a systematic overview is presented and the corresponding suggested directions of research are discussed. This work provides detailed understanding and support for realizing low-noise variable thrust control in the next generation of drag-free satellites. | Changyi XU Wenya LI Xuhui LIU Yong LI Chao ZHANG | 2023 | Journal of Zhejiang University-Science A(Applied Physics & Engineering)2023,24,10: | 0
Expression of E-Cadherin in Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma is Associated with Clinical Prognosis显示文摘OBJECTIVE To investigate the correlation of E-cadherin expression with clinicopathological parameters and prognosis of patients with oral squa- mous cell carcinoma. METHODS We examined the expression of the protein E-cadherin in 43 oral squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) surgical speciments by SABC im- munohistochemistry. RESULTS There was a significant correlation between the level of E- cadherin expression and tumor stage (P=0.024), invasive pattern (P= 0.009) and lymph node metastasis (P=0.023). No relation was found with age (P=0.084), sex (P= 1.356) and differentiation (P=0.877). Using the Kaplan-Meier method we demonstrated that those cases which showed E-cadherin expression (-) or (+) had a significantly poorer prognosis compared those cases which showed expression (++) or (+++) (P= 0.0146). CONCLUSION E -cadherin, is an important indicator of clinical diag- noses and prognositic marker for oral SCC patients. | Jianming Zhang Wei Zhang Ping Gao Yanqiu Li Changyi Li Sakan Maeda | 2006 | Chinese Journal of Clinical Oncology2006,3,3: | 0

Effects of femtosecond laser ablation on the surface morphology and microstructure of a bulk TiCuPdZr glass alloy显示文摘The effects of femtosecond laser ablation on the surface characteristics and microstructure of a bulk TiCuPdZr glass alloy were investigated. The heat influence zone of femtosecond laser ablated with a laser energy of 100 μJ exhibits a ripple-like feather, while a porous structure appears on the surface of the specimen ablated by a 200 μJ femtosecond laser. The contents of Ti, Zr, and Pd on the ablated surface decrease and that of Cu increases with increasing laser energy. The crystallization process occurs on the glass alloy specimens during femtosecond laser ablation, and the crystallinity of a 100 μJ femtosecond laser-ablated specimen is greater than that of a 200 μJ femtosecond laser-ablated one. | WANG Hongshui LIANG Chunyong CHEN Xueguang WANG Lei YANG Yang YANG Jianjun ZHU Shengli LI Changyi | 2009 | Rare Metals2009,28,3: | 0
