| 1 | Desertification dynamic and the relative roles of climate change and human activities in desertification in the Heihe River Basin based on NPP显示文摘Relative roles of climate change and human activities in desertification are the hotspot of research on desertification dynamic and its driving mechanism.To overcome the shortcomings of existing studies,this paper selected net primary productivity(NPP) as an indicator to analyze desertification dynamic and its impact factors.In addition,the change trends of actual NPP,potential NPP and HNPP(human appropriation of NPP,the difference between potential NPP and actual NPP) were used to analyze the desertification dynamic and calculate the relative roles of climate change,human activities and a combination of the two factors in desertification.In this study,the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer(MODIS)-Normalised Difference Vegetation Index(NDVI) and meteorological data were utilized to drive the Carnegie-Ames-Stanford Approach(CASA) model to calculate the actual NPP from 2001 to 2010 in the Heihe River Basin.Potential NPP was estimated using the Thornthwaite Memorial model.Results showed that 61% of the whole basin area underwent land degradation,of which 90.5% was caused by human activities,8.6% by climate change,and 0.9% by a combination of the two factors.On the contrary,1.5% of desertification reversion area was caused by human activities and 90.7% by climate change,the rest 7.8% by a combination of the two factors.Moreover,it was demonstrated that 95.9% of the total actual NPP decrease was induced by human activities,while 69.3% of the total actual NPP increase was caused by climate change.The results revealed that climate change dominated desertification reversion,while human activities dominated desertification expansion.Moreover,the relative roles of both climate change and human activities in desertification possessed great spatial heterogeneity.Additionally,ecological protection policies should be enhanced in the Heihe River Basin to prevent desertification expansion under the condition of climate change. | Wei ZHOU ZhengGuo SUN JianLong LI ChengCheng GANG ChaoBin ZHANG | 2013 | Journal of Arid Land2013,5,4: | 18 |
| 2 | China's Wetland Databases Based on Remote Sensing Technology显示文摘Wetland databases can provide the basic data that necessary for the protection and management of wetlands. A large number of wetland databases have been established in the world as well as in China. In this paper, we review China's wetland databases based on remote sensing(RS) technology after introducing the background theory to the application of RS technology in wetland surveys. A key conclusion is that China's wetland databases are far from sufficient in fulfilling protection and management needs. Our recommendations focus on the use of the hyper-spectral imagery, microwave data, multi-temporal images, and automatic classifications in order to improve the accuracy and efficiency of wetland inventory. Further, attention should also be paid to detect major biophysical features of wetlands and build wetland databases in years after the 1980 s in China. | 3 | Correlation between Different Morus alba L. Leaf Nodes and the Change in Leaf Size or Mass显示文摘This paper aimed to explore the correlation between Morus alba L. leaf node and its size or mass change and provide a theoretical basis for the development of scientific Morus alba L. cultivation technology. During 2016-2017,the correlation between Morus alba L. leaf node and its size or mass change was investigated and researched. Results showed that through the correlation coefficient analysis,there was a weakly positive correlation between the leaf node and some indicators such as( leaf length ÷ leaf width) and petiole length,there was a weakly negative correlation between the leaf node and some indicators such as leaf width,( leaf length + leaf width),( leaf length × leaf width) and leaf mass,and there was a weakly negative correlation between the leaf node and the other indicators; there was a highly positive correlation between the leaf mass and some indicators such as Morus alba L. leaf length,leaf width,( leaf length + leaf width) and( leaf length × leaf width),there was a significantly positive correlation between the leaf mass and some indicators such as petiole transverse diameter in width and petiole mass,and there was a weakly positive correlation between the leaf mass and some indicators such as petiole transverse diameter in thickness. In terms of significant level of difference,it was found that there was no significant difference in the correlation coefficients between the leaf nodes on the Morus alba L. shoots and some indicators such as leaf length,leaf width,( leaf length + leaf width),( leaf length × leaf width) and leaf mass; there was an extremely significant difference in the correlation coefficients between the leaf mass and some indicators such as Morus alba L. leaf length,leaf width,( leaf length + leaf width),( leaf length × leaf width),petiole transverse diameter in width and petiole mass; there was no significant difference in the correlation coefficients between the leaf mass and the other indicators. The regression analysis was performed on the leaf node and leaf length,leaf width,( leaf length + leaf width),( leaf length × leaf width),( leaf length ÷ leaf width),petiole length,petiole diameter in width,petiole diameter in thickness,petiole mass and leaf mass. Significance F values were0. 4864,0. 1995,0. 2888,0. 3004,0. 2350,0. 2407,0. 8925,0. 5227,0. 7022 and 0. 2000,respectively,that is,there was an extremely significant difference between Morus alba L. leaf node and petiole diameter in width,there was a significant difference between Morus alba L.leaf node and petiole mass,and there was no significant difference between Morus alba L. leaf node and the other indicators. The comparative analysis of quadratic curve regression equation and linear regression equation was performed on some indicators such as leaf length,and it was found that the R value between the leaf node and petiole diameter in width was in line with the logarithmic curve regression equation,and the other R values of quadratic curve regression equation was larger than the other R values of linear regression equation,indicating that different Morus alba L. leaf nodes,leaf length,leaf mass and other indicators were in line with the quadratic curve regression equation. | 5 | Construction of a hierarchical multiscale conducting network for enhanced thermoelectric response in organic PEDOT:PSS based nanocomposites显示文摘Thermoelectric technology,which is characterized by the interconversion between heat and electricity,is demonstrated as an efficient and environmentally friendly route for thermal energy harvesting and solid-state cooling devices.The pursuit for high-performance room temperature thermoelectric materials is of significant interest.Here,we proposed a design strategy to dramatically improve the thermoelectric response by constructing a hierarchical multiscale conductor network(AgNWs/CNT)in polymer matrix(PEDOT:PSS).At the optimized composition,the highest Seebeck coefficient and electrical conductivity of base treated ternary PEDOT:PSS/AgNWs/CNT composite are optimized to be 58.6μV K^(-1)and~1950 S cm-1.Correspondingly,the power factor is thus calculated to be on the order of 670μV m^(-1)K^(-2),which is among one of the highest values compared with previous reports.The underlying mechanism is illustrated based on detailed structure,morphology and electron transport quantification.This work affords a novel strategy for the future development of high-performance room temperature nanocomposite thermoelectrics. | Yong Zhang Siqi Liu J.Justin Koh Chaobin He | 2021 | Journal of Materiomics2021,7,1: | 1 |

| 9 | Three distinct optical-switching states in phase-change materials containing impurities:From physical origin to material design显示文摘Ge2 Sb2 Te5 is the most widely utilized chalcogenide phase-change material for non-volatile photonic applications,which undergoes amorphous-cubic and cubic-hexagonal phase transition under external excitations.However,the cubic-hexagonal optical contrast is negligible,only the amorphous-cubic phase transition of Ge_(2)Sb_(2)Te_(5) is available.This limits the optical switching states of traditional active displays and absorbers to two.We find that increasing structural disorder difference of cubic-hexagonal can increase optical contrast close to the level of amorphous-cubic.Therefore,an amorphous-cubichexagonal phase transition with high optical contrast is realized.Using this phase transition,we have developed display and absorber with three distinct switching states,improving the switching performance by 50%.Through the combination of first-principle calculations and experiments,we reveal that the key to increasing structural disorder difference of amorphous,cubic and hexagonal phases is to introduce small interstitial impurities(like N)in Ge2 Sb2 Te5,rather than large substitutional impurities(like Ag)previously thought.This is explained by the formation energy and lattice distortion.Based on the impurity atomic radius,interstitial site radius and formation energy,C and B are also potential suitable impurities.In addition,introducing interstitial impurities into phase-change materials with van der Waals gaps in stable phase such as GeSb_(4) Te_(7),GeSb_(2) Te_(4),Ge_(3)Sb_(2) Te_(6),Sb_(2)Te_(3) will produce high optical contrast amorphous-metastable-stable phase transition.This research not only reveals the important role of interstitial impurities in increasing the optical contrast between metastable-stable phases,but also proposes varieties of candidate matrices and impurities.This provides new phase-change materials and design methods for non-volatile optical devices with multi-switching states. | Chaobin Bi Kaicheng Xu Chaoquan Hu Ling Zhang Zhongbo Yang Shuaipeng Tao Weitao Zheng | 2021 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,16: | 1 |

| 11 | Intraoperative Blood Glucose Levels and Postoperative Acute Kidney Injury in Pediatric Patients Having Congenital Heart Surgery under Cardiopulmonary Bypass显示文摘Purpose:This study sought to explore the effect of intraoperative mean blood glucose levels and variability on postoperative acute kidney injury(AKI)in children undergoing congenital cardiac surgery.Methods:We conducted a prospective nested case-control study in children(age<18 years)undergoing congenital heart surgery with cardiopulmonary bypass(CPB)at the Fuwai Hospital between April 01,2022 and July 30,2022.Cases were individuals who developed AKI within the first postoperative 7 days(AKI group)and controls were those without AKI(Non-AKI group)according to KDIGO criteria.AKI and Non-AKI groups unmatched and 1:1 matched by age,sex,and baseline serum creatinine were separately analyzed.Multivariate logistic and conditional logistic regressions were used to assess the associations between blood glucose variables and AKI.Results:688 consecutively approached patients were included in the final analysis.On multivariate analysis,intra-CPB(adjusted odds ratio[OR]0.802;95%confidence interval[CI],0.706 to 0.912;p=0.001)and post-CPB(adjusted OR 0.830;95%CI,0.744 to 0.925;p=0.001)blood glucose levels were associated with postoperative AKI.There were no significant differences in pre-CPB blood glucose(adjusted OR 0.926;95%CI,0.759 to 1.129;p=0.446)or intraoperative glycemic fluctuations(adjusted OR 0.905;95%CI,0.723 to 1.132;p=0.382)between AKI and Non-AKI groups.Results based on matched cases and controls were consistent with those from the unmatched analyses.Conclusion:Higher intraoperative blood glucose levels during and after CPB were protective factors against postoperative AKI in pediatric patients after congenital heart surgery. | Dongyun Bie Hongbai Wang Chaobin Zhang Chunrong Wang Yuan Jia Su Yuan Sheng Shi Jiangshan Huang Jianhui Wang Fuxia Yan | 2023 | Congenital Heart Disease2023,18,4: | 0 |
| 12 | New design for highly durable infrared-reflective coatings显示文摘The fundamental challenge in designing durable infrared-reflective coatings is achieving the ideal combination of both high reflectivity and durability.Satisfying these competing demands is traditionally achieved by deposition of durable layers on highly reflective metals.We overturn the traditional logic of‘first reflectivity and then durability’and propose an alternative of‘first durability and then reflectivity’:First,a transition-metal compound is selected as a durable base;then its reflectivity is improved by incorporating silver/gold to form an alloy or by overcoating a multilayer stack.Two validation experiments prove that the new strategy works extremely well:the coatings thus obtained have infrared reflectivities close to that of aluminum,and their hardness and acid and salt corrosion resistances are 27–50,400–1500 and 7500–25000 times that of aluminum.The traditional mirror coating(e.g.,Al/SiO2 films)is more suitable for moderate environments,while our mirror coating that was obtained by the new strategy(e.g.,an Ag-doped hafnium nitride film)is more suitable for harsh environments,such as ones with dust,windblown sand,moisture,acid rain or salt fog.This work opens up new opportunities for highly durable infrared-reflective coatings and rejuvenates the study of transition metal compounds in a completely new area of optics. | Chaoquan Hu Jian Liu Jianbo Wang Zhiqing Gu Chao Li Qian Li Yuankai Li Sam Zhang Chaobin Bi Xiaofeng Fan Weitao Zheng | 2017 | Light(Science & Applications)2017,6,1: | 0 |

| 14 | Critical Relation Path Aggregation-Based Industrial Control Component Exploitable Vulnerability Reasoning显示文摘With the growing discovery of exposed vulnerabilities in the Industrial Control Components(ICCs),identification of the exploitable ones is urgent for Industrial Control System(ICS)administrators to proactively forecast potential threats.However,it is not a trivial task due to the complexity of the multi-source heterogeneous data and the lack of automatic analysis methods.To address these challenges,we propose an exploitability reasoning method based on the ICC-Vulnerability Knowledge Graph(KG)in which relation paths contain abundant potential evidence to support the reasoning.The reasoning task in this work refers to determining whether a specific relation is valid between an attacker entity and a possible exploitable vulnerability entity with the help of a collective of the critical paths.The proposed method consists of three primary building blocks:KG construction,relation path representation,and query relation reasoning.A security-oriented ontology combines exploit modeling,which provides a guideline for the integration of the scattered knowledge while constructing the KG.We emphasize the role of the aggregation of the attention mechanism in representation learning and ultimate reasoning.In order to acquire a high-quality representation,the entity and relation embeddings take advantage of their local structure and related semantics.Some critical paths are assigned corresponding attentive weights and then they are aggregated for the determination of the query relation validity.In particular,similarity calculation is introduced into a critical path selection algorithm,which improves search and reasoning performance.Meanwhile,the proposed algorithm avoids redundant paths between the given pairs of entities.Experimental results show that the proposed method outperforms the state-of-the-art ones in the aspects of embedding quality and query relation reasoning accuracy. | Zibo Wang Chaobin Huo Yaofang Zhang Shengtao Cheng Yilu Chen Xiaojie Wei Chao Li Bailing Wang | 2023 | Computers, Materials & Continua2023,,5: | 0 |
