| 1 | Chinese urbanization 2050: SD modeling and process simulation显示文摘Is Chinese urbanization going to take a long time, or can its development goal be achieved by the government in a short time? What is the highest stable urbanization level that China can reach? When can China complete its urbanization? To answer these questions, this paper presents a system dynamic(SD) model of Chinese urbanization, and its validity and simulation are justified by a stock-flow test and a sensitivity analysis using real data from 1998 to 2013. Setting the initial conditions of the simulation by referring to the real data of 2013, the multi-scenario analysis from 2013 to 2050 reveals that Chinese urbanization will reach a level higher than 70% in 2035 and then proceed to a slow urbanization stage regardless of the population policy and GDP growth rate settings; in 2050, Chinese urbanization levels will reach approximately 75%, which is a stable and equilibrium level for China. | 2 | NbN superconducting nanowire single photon detector with efficiency over 90% at 1550 nm wavelength operational at compact cryocooler temperature显示文摘The rapid development of superconducting nanowire single-photon detectors over the past decade has led to numerous advances in quantum information technology. The record for the best system detection efficiency at an incident photon wavelength of 1550 nm is 93%. This performance was attained from a superconducting nanowire single-photon detector made of amorphous WSi; such detectors are usually operated at sub-Kelvin temperatures. In this study, we first demonstrate superconducting nanowire single-photon detectors made of polycrystalline NbN with system detection efficiency of 90.2% for 1550-nm-wavelength photons at2.1 K, accessible with a compact cryocooler. The system detection efficiency saturated at 92.1% when the temperature was lowered to 1.8 K. | 13 | Alterations in Phenotypes and Responses of T Cells Within 6 Months of Recovery from COVID-19: A Cohort Study显示文摘The COVID-19 pandemic,caused by the SARS-CoV-2 infection,is a global health crisis.While many patients have clinically recovered,little is known about long-term alterations in T cell responses of COVID-19 convalescents.In this study,T cell responses in peripheral blood mononuclear cells of a long-time COVID-19 clinically recovered(20–26 weeks)cohort(LCR)were measured via flow cytometry and ELISpot.The T cell responses of LCR were comparatively analyzed against an age and sex matched short-time clinically recovered(4–9 weeks)cohort(SCR)and a healthy donor cohort(HD).All volunteers were recruited from Wuhan Jinyintan Hospital,China.Phenotypic analysis showed that activation marker PD-1 expressing on CD4^(+)T cells of LCR was still significantly lower than that of HD.Functional analysis indicated that frequencies of Tc2,Th2 and Th17 in LCR were comparable to those of HD,but Tc17 was higher than that of HD.In LCR,compared to the HD,there were fewer IFN-c producing T cells but more IL-2 secreting T cells.In addition,the circulating Tfh cells in LCR were still slightly lower compared to HD,though the subsets composition had recovered.Remarkably,SARS-CoV-2 specific T cell responses in LCR were comparable to that of SCR.Collectively,T cell responses experienced long-term alterations in phenotype and functional potential of LCR cohort.However,after clinical recovery,SARS-CoV-2 specific T cell responses could be sustained at least for six months,which may be helpful in resisting re-infection。 | Bali Zhao Maohua Zhong Qingyu Yang Ke Hong Jianbo Xia Xia Li Ying Liu Yao-Qing Chen Jingyi Yang Chaolin Huang Huimin Yan | 2021 | Virologica Sinica2021,36,5: | 1 |

| 15 | Impact of corticosteroids on initiation and half-year durability of humoral response in COVID-19 survivors显示文摘Background:The impact of corticosteroids on humoral responses in coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)sur-vivors during the acute phase and subsequent 6-month period remains unknown.This study aimed to determine how the use of corticosteroids influences the initiation and duration of humoral responses in COVID-19 survivors 6 months after infection onset.Methods:We used kinetic antibody data from the lopinavir-ritonavir trial conducted at Jin Yin-Tan Hospital in January 2020,which involved adults hospitalized with severe COVID-19(LOTUS,ChiCTR2000029308).Anti-body samples were collected from 192 patients during hospitalization,and kinetic antibodies were monitored at all available time points after recruitment.Additionally,plasma samples were collected from 101 COVID-19 survivors for comprehensive humoral immune measurement at the half-year follow-up visit.The main focus was comparing the humoral responses between patients treated with systemic corticosteroid therapy and the non-corticosteroid group.Results:From illness onset to day 30,the median antibody titre areas under the receiver operating characteristic curve(AUCs)of nucleoprotein(N),spike protein(S),and receptor-binding domain(RBD)immunoglobulin G(IgG)were significantly lower in the corticosteroids group.The AUCs of N-,S-,and RBD-IgM as well as neutralizing antibodies(NAbs)were numerically lower in the corticosteroids group compared with the non-corticosteroid group.However,peak titres of N,S,RBD-IgM and-IgG and NAbs were not influenced by corticosteroids.During 6-month follow-up,we observed a delayed decline for most binding antibodies,except N-IgM(��−0.05,95%CI[−0.10,0.00])in the corticosteroids group,though not reaching statistical significance.No significant difference was observed for NAbs.However,for the half-year seropositive rate,corticosteroids significantly accelerated the decay of IgA and IgM but made no difference to N-,S-,and RBD-IgG or NAbs.Additionally,corticosteroids group showed a trend towards delayed viral clearance compared with the non-corticosteroid group,but the results were not statistically significant(adjusted hazard ratio 0.71,95%CI 0.50-1.00;P=0.0508).Conclusion:Our findings suggested that corticosteroid therapy was associated with impaired initiation of the antibody response but this did not compromise the peak titres of binding and neutralizing antibodies.Throughout the decay phase,from the acute phase to the half-year follow-up visit,short-term and low-dose corticosteroids did not significantly affect humoral responses,except for accelerating the waning of short-lived antibodies. | Yeming Wang Li Guo Guohui Fan Yang Han Qiao Zhang Lili Ren Hui Zhang Geng Wang Xueyang Zhang Tingxuan Huang Weiyang Wang Lan Chen Lixue Huang Xiaoying Gu Xinming Wang Jingchuan Zhong Ying Wang Hui Li Jiapei Yu Zhibo Liu Chaolin Huang Bin Cao Jianwei Wang | 2024 | Chinese Medical Journal Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine2024,2,1: | 0 |
| 16 | Mechanical property and biological behaviour of additive manufactured TiNi functionally graded lattice structure显示文摘Bio-inspired porous metallic scaffolds have tremendous potential to be used as artificial bone substitutes.In this work,a radially graded lattice structure (RGLS),which mimics the structures of natural human bones,was designed and processed by laser powder bed fusion of martensitic Ti-rich TiNi powder.The asymmetric tension-compression behaviour,where the compressive strength is significantly higher than the tensile strength,is observed in this Ti-rich TiNi material,which echoes the mechanical behaviour of bones.The morphologies,mechanical properties,deformation behaviour,and biological compatibility of RGLS samples were characterised and compared with those in the uniform lattice structure.Both the uniform and RGLS samples achieve a relative density higher than 99%.The graded porosities and pore sizes in the RGLS range from 40%-80% and 330-805 µm,respectively,from the centre to the edge.The chemical etching has significantly removed the harmful partially-melted residual powder particles on the lattice struts.The compressive yield strength of RGLS is 71.5 MPa,much higher than that of the uniform sample (46.5 MPa),despite having a similar relative density of about 46%.The calculated Gibson-Ashby equation and the deformation behaviour simulation by finite element suggest that the dense outer regions with high load-bearing capability could sustain high applied stress,improving the overall strength of RGLS significantly.The cell proliferation study suggests better biological compatibility of the RGLS than the uniform structures.The findings highlight a novel strategy to improve the performance of additively manufactured artificial implants by bio-inspiration. | Chaolin Tan Cheng Deng Sheng Li Alessandro Abena Parastoo Jamshidi Khamis Essa Likang Wu Guohua Xu Moataz M Attallah Jia Liu | 2022 | International Journal of Extreme Manufacturing2022,4,4: | 0 |
