2Plasma membrane-localized SlSWEET7a and SlSWEET14 regulate sugar transport and storage in tomato fruits显示文摘Sugars,especially glucose and fructose,contribute to the taste and quality of tomato fruits.These compounds are translocated from the leaves to the fruits and then unloaded into the fruits by various sugar transporters at the plasma membrane.SWEETs,are sugar transporters that regulate sugar efflux independently of energy or pH.To date,the role of SWEETs in tomato has received very little attention.In this study,we performed functional analysis of SlSWEET7a and SlSWEET14 to gain insight into the regulation of sugar transport and storage in tomato fruits.SlSWEET7a and SlSWEET14 were mainly expressed in peduncles,vascular bundles,and seeds.Both SlSWEET7a and SlSWEET14 are plasma membrane-localized proteins that transport fructose,glucose,and sucrose.Apart from the resulting increase in mature fruit sugar content,silencing SlSWEET7a or SlSWEET14 resulted in taller plants and larger fruits(in SlSWEET7a-silenced lines).We also found that invertase activity and gene expression of some SlSWEET members increased,which was consistent with the increased availability of sucrose and hexose in the fruits.Overall,our results demonstrate that suppressing SlSWEET7a and SlSWEET14 could be a potential strategy for enhancing the sugar content of tomato fruits.Xinsheng Zhang Chaoyang Feng Manning Wang Tianlai Li Xin Liu Jing Jiang 2021Horticulture Research2021,8,1:4
3Effect of potential HONO sources on peroxyacetyl nitrate(PAN)formation in eastern China in winter显示文摘As an important secondary photochemical pollutant,peroxyacetyl nitrate(PAN)has been studied over decades,yet its simulations usually underestimate the corresponding observations,especially in polluted areas.Recent observations in north China found unusually high concentrations of PAN during wintertime heavy haze events,but the current model still cannot reproduce the observations,and researchers speculated that nitrous acid(HONO)played a key role in PAN formation.For the first time we systematically assessed the impact of potential HONO sources on PAN formation mechanisms in eastern China using the Weather Research and Forecasting/Chemistry(WRF-Chem)model in February of 2017.The results showed that the potential HONO sources significantly improved the PAN simulations,remarkably accelerated the RO x(sum of hydroxyl,hydroperoxyl,and organic peroxy radicals)cycles,and resulted in 80%–150%enhancements of PAN near the ground in the coastal areas of eastern China and 10%–50%enhancements in the areas around 35–40°N within 3 km during a heavy haze period.The direct precursors of PAN were aldehyde and methylglyoxal,and the primary precursors of PAN were alkenes with C>3,xylenes,propene and toluene.The above results suggest that the potential HONO sources should be considered in regional and global chemical transport models when conducting PAN studies.Jingwei Zhang Yitian Guo Yu Qu Yong Chen Ruipeng Yu Chaoyang Xue Rui Yang Qiang Zhang Xingang Liu Yujing Mu Jing Wang Can Ye Haihan Zhao Qiangqiang Sun Ziwen Wang Junling An 2020Journal of Environmental Sciences2020,32,8:3
4Classification and influencing factors of rural elderly's vulnerability to health-related poverty in central and western regions of China显示文摘Objective:To calculate the health poverty vulnerability index of elderly households in rural areas of central and western China,and then to classify these samples,lastly to decompose their influencing factors.Methods:First,based on survey data in 2018,the three-stage feasible generalized least squares was used to calculate the health poverty vulnerability index of elderly households,and then combined with whether the household income was below the poverty line and whether the family was healthy poverty vulnerability,the sample households were divided into four categories,and then used multiple unordered logistic regression to analyze various types of influencing factors,and finally used the Shapley index to decompose the contribution of each influencing factor.Results:The average vulnerability of health poverty was 0.5979±0.25199,with 1169 households greater than or equal to 0.5,accounting for 63.26%;the number of households stuck in poverty,temporary poverty,potential poverty,and escaped from poverty were 489,300,680,and 379 households,accounting for 26.46%,16.23%,36.80%,and 20.51%of the total sample;compared with escaped from poverty families,the three variables of marital status,the number of chronically ill patients,and the number of annual hospitalizations were the com­mon influencing factors of other three types families;The Shapley decomposition showed that the interviewees’education level and family members engaged in non-agricultural work have contributed significantly to the three types,however two indicators:time required to visit a medical institution and self-assessment of health status of the main interviewees showed great differences in different types of families.Conclusion:Rural elderly households have a high level of vulnerability to health poverty;potential poverty house­holds and persistent poverty households account for a large proportion,and continuous intervention should be carried out;it is necessary to unify the implementation of basic poverty alleviation work,but also to enhance refined management capabilities and adopt differentiated intervention measures.Qin Xiang Chaoyang Yan Ying Ma Hui Liao Jing Wang 2021Global Health Journal2021,5,3:2
5Acute kidney injury following adult lung transplantation显示文摘Background:Acute kidney injury(AKI)is a common and serious complication following lung transplantation(LTx),and it is associated with high mortality and morbidity.This study assessed the incidence of AKI after LTx and analyzed the associated perioperative factors and clinical outcomes.Methods:This retrospective study included all adult LTx recipients at the China-Japan Friendship Hospital in Beijing between March 2017 and December 2019.The outcomes were AKI incidence,risk factors,mortality,and kidney recovery.Multivariate analysis was performed to identify independent risk factors.Survival analysis was presented using the Kaplan-Meier curves.Results:AKI occurred in 137 of the 191 patients(71.7%),with transient AKI in 43(22.5%)and persistent AKI in 94(49.2%).AKI stage 1 occurred in 27/191(14.1%),stage 2 in 46/191(24.1%),and stage 3 in 64/191(33.5%)of the AKI patients.Renal replacement therapy(RRT)was administered to 35/191(18.3%)of the patients.Male sex,older age,mechanical ventilation(MV),severe hypotension,septic shock,multiple organ dysfunction(MODS),prolonged extracorporeal membrane oxygenation(ECMO),reintubation,and nephrotoxic agents were associated with AKI(P<0.050).Persistent AKI was independently associated with pre-operative pulmonary hypertension,severe hypotension,post-operative MODS,and nephrotoxic agents.Severe hypotension,septic shock,MODS,reintubation,prolonged MV,and ECMO during or after LTx were related to severe AKI(stage 3)(P<0.050).Patients with persistent and severe AKI had a significantly longer duration of MV,longer duration in the intensive care unit(ICU),worse downstream kidney function,and reduced survival(P<0.050).Conclusions:AKI is common after LTx,but the pathogenic mechanism of AKI is complicated,and prerenal causes are important.Persistent and severe AKI were associated with poor short-and long-term kidney function and reduced survival in LTx patients.Lei Jing Wenhui Chen Li Zhao Lijuan Guo Chaoyang Liang Jingyu Chen Chen Wang 2022Chinese Medical Journal2022,,2:2
6Reversal of the immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment via platinum-based neoadjuvant chemotherapy in cervical cancer显示文摘Background Immunotherapy favors patients with tumors;however,only 3-26.3%of patients with cervical cancer benefit from single-agent immune checkpoint inhibitors.Combined immunotherapy and chemotherapy has been explored against tumor;however,the combination remains controversial.This study aimed to investigate the tumor immune microenvironment(TIME)and the effects of platinum-based neoadjuvant chemotherapy(NACT)in cervical cancer to identify the clinical value of combining chemotherapy with immunotherapy.Methods Multiplex immunohistochemistry(IHC)with 11 markers(cluster of differentiation[CD]3,CD8,CD4,CD11c,CD68,forkhead box P3[Foxp3],programmed cell death 1[PD-1],programmed cell death 1 ligand 1[PD-L1],indoleamine 2,3-dioxygenase[IDO],cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitor 2A[p16],and cytokeratin[CK])was performed to evaluate TIME from 108 matched pre-and post-NACT cervical cancer samples.The mechanism of antitumor immunity triggered by NACT was explored using RNA sequencing(RNA-seq)from four paired samples and subsequently verified in 41 samples using IHC.Results The infiltration rate of the CD8^(+)T cells in treatment-naive cervical cancer was 0.73%,and those of Foxp3^(+)regulatory T cells(Tregs)and IDO^(+)cells were 0.87%and 17.15%,respectively.Moreover,immunoreactive T cells,dendritic cells,and macrophages were more in the stromal than the intratumor region.NACT increased dendritic,CD3^(+)T,CD8^(+)T,and CD4^(+)T cells and decreased Tregs.The aforementioned alterations occurred predominantly in the stromal region and were primarily in responders.Non-responders primarily showed decreased Tregs and no increase in CD8^(+)T or dendritic cell infiltration.Furthermore,dendritic cells interacted more closely with CD3^(+)T cells after NACT,an effect primarily observed in responders.RNA-seq data revealed activation of the antigen receptor-mediated signaling pathway and upregulation of major histocompatibility complex(MHC)I and MHC II after chemotherapy,validated using IHC.Conclusions NACT can reduce Tregs,and when tumor cells are effectively killed,antigen presentation is enhanced,subsequently activating antitumor immunity finitely.Our study provides the molecular characteristics and theoretical basis for the simultaneous or sequential combination of platinum-based NACT and immunotherapy for cervical cancer.Xue Feng Xiaolin Meng Dihong Tang Shuaiqingying Guo Qiuyue Liao Jing Chen Qin Xie Fengyuan Liu Yong Fang Chaoyang Sun Yingyan Han Jihui Ai Kezhen Li 2024Cancer Pathogenesis and Therapy2024,2,1:1

9On-Line PMU-Based Transmission Line Parameter Identification显示文摘China Southern Power Grid Company(CSG)recently developed and implemented an online PMU-based transmission line(TL)parameter identification system(TPIS).Traditionally,TL parameters are calculated based on transmission tower geometries,conductor dimension,estimates of line length,conductor sags,etc.These parameters only approximate the effect of conductor sag and ignore the dependence of impedance parameters on temperature variation.Recent development in PMU technology has made it possible to calculate TL parameters accurately.The challenges are that such an application requires highly accurate PMU data while the accuracy of PMU measurements under different working/system conditions can be uncertain.With a large number of PMUs widely installed in its system,CSG plans to improve and update the EMS database using the newly developed TPIS.TPIS provides an innovative yet practical problem formulation and solution for TL parameter identification.In addition,it proposes a new metric that can be used to determine the credibility of the calculated parameters,which is missing in the literature.This paper discusses the methodologies,challenges,as well as implementation issues noticed during the development of TPIS.Xuanyu Zhao Huafeng Zhou Di Shi Huashi Zhao Chaoyang Jing Chris Jones 2015CSEE Journal of Power and Energy Systems2015,1,2:1

11Regulating reserve with large penetration of renewable energy using midterm dynamic simulation显示文摘A novel renewable energy intermittency model and a new midterm dynamic simulation tool in power systems are developed for examining dynamic behavior along the load curve for different combinations of the system operation reserves and renewable portfolio standard(RPS)rates.The system’s import limits are considered.It is concluded that ignoring intermittency and governor effects is an inadequate method to assess intermittency impact.The intermittency midterm dynamic impact must be studied.For the studied system,the instability is expected to be about 25%RPS with current reserves.Besides,the most vulnerable peak hour to instability is the afternoon peak hour when solar begins to drop off.This article stimulates further dynamic intermittency studies on the issues caused by renewable intermittency.The studies on the issues caused by renewable intermittency have not been revealed because of inadequate/incomprehensive study methodologies so that effective,mitigative solutions can be developed to guarantee the reliability of power grid when incorporating higher RPS if high operation reserves are impractical.Chaoyang JING Baiqing LI 2013Journal of Modern Power Systems and Clean Energy2013,1,1:1

13MXene fibers for electronic textiles:Progress and perspectives显示文摘The rapid evolution of portable and wearable electronic devices has fueled the development of smart functional textiles that are able to conduct electricity,sense body movements,or store energy.One main challenge inhibiting the further development of functional textile-based electronics is the lack of robust functional fibers with suitable electrical,electrochemical and sensing functionalities.MXenes,an emerging family of two-dimensional(2D)materials,have shown to be promising candidates for producing functional fibers due to their exceptional electrical and electrochemical properties combined with solution processability.The unique ability of MXenes to readily form liquid crystal phases in various solvents has allowed them to generate additive-free fibers using a wet spinning process.In this work,we review the recent exciting developments in the fabrication of neat MXenes fibers and present a critical evaluation of practical challenges in MXenes processing that influence the macroscale material properties and the performance of the subsequent devices.We also provide our assessment for the future opportunities and challenges in producing MXene fibers to help pave the way for their widespread use in advanced wearable applications.Jianmin Li Chaoyang Miao Jing Bian Shayan Seyedin Ke Li 2023Chinese Chemical Letters2023,34,8:1
14MoS2-intercalated carbon hetero-layers bonded on graphene as electrode materials for enhanced sodium/potassium ion storage显示文摘MoS2 is considered as an ideal electrode material in the field of energy storage due to high theoretical specific capacity and unique layered structure.However,limited interlayer distance and poor intrinsic electrical conductivity restrict its potential realworld application.Herein,an alternately intercalated structure of MoS2 monolayer and N-doped porous carbon(NC)layer is grown on reduced graphene oxide(rGO)via a chemical intercalated strategy.The expanded interlayer distance of MoS2(0.96 nm),enlarged by the intercalation of N-doped porous carbon layers,can enhance ion diffusion mobility,provide additional reactive sites for ion storage and maintain the stability of electrode structure.In addition,the hierarchical structures between rGO substrate and intercalated N-doped carbon layers construct a three-dimensional(3D)conductive network,which can significantly improve the electrical conductivity and the structural stability.As a result,the rGO-supported MoS2/NC electrode exhibits an ultrahigh reversible capacity and remarkable long cycling stability for sodium-ion batteries(SIBs)and potassium-ion(PIBs).Meanwhile,the as-obtained MoS2/NC@rGO electrode also delivers a superior cycle performance of 250 mAh·g−1 after 160 cycles at 0.5 A·g−1 when employed as an anode for sodium-ion full cells.Laiying Jing Junwei Sun Chaoyang Sun Di Wu Gang Lian Deliang Cui Qilong Wang Haohai Yu 2023Nano Research2023,16,1:1

16Direct fabrication of flexible tensile sensors enabled by polariton energy transfer based on graphene nanosheet films显示文摘A fundamental problem in the direct manufacturing of flexible devices is the low melting temperature of flexible substrates,which hinders the development of flexible electronics.Proposed here is an electron-cyclotron-resonance sputtering system that can batch-fabricate devices directly on flexible substrates under a low temperature by virtue of the polariton energy transfer between the plasma and the material.Flexible graphene nanosheet-embedded carbon(F-GNEC)films are manufactured directly on polyimide,polyethylene terephthalate,and polydimethylsiloxane,and how the substrate bias(electron energy),microwave power(plasma flux and energy),and magnetic field(electron flux)affect the nanostructure of the F-GNEC films is investigated,indicating that electron energy and flux contribute to the formation of standing graphene nanosheets in the film.The films have good uniformity of distribution in a large size(17 mm×17 mm),and tensile and angle sensors with a high gauge factor(0.92)and fast response(50 ms)for a machine hand are obtained by virtue of the unique nanostructure of the F-GNEC film.This work sheds light on the quantum manufacturing of carbon sensors and its applications for intelligent machine hands and virtual-reality technology.Xi Zhang Junchi Ma Wenhao Huang Jichen Zhang Chaoyang Lyu Yu Zhang Bo Wen Xin Wang Jing Ye Dongfeng Diao 2023Nanotechnology and Precision Engineering2023,6,1:0
17A Multi-Scale Network with the Encoder-Decoder Structure for CMR Segmentation显示文摘Cardiomyopathy is one of the most serious public health threats.The precise structural and functional cardiac measurement is an essential step for clinical diagnosis and follow-up treatment planning.Cardiologists are often required to draw endocardial and epicardial contours of the left ventricle(LV)manually in routine clinical diagnosis or treatment planning period.This task is time-consuming and error-prone.Therefore,it is necessary to develop a fully automated end-to-end semantic segmentation method on cardiac magnetic resonance(CMR)imaging datasets.However,due to the low image quality and the deformation caused by heartbeat,there is no effective tool for fully automated end-to-end cardiac segmentation task.In this work,we propose a multi-scale segmentation network(MSSN)for left ventricle segmentation.It can effectively learn myocardium and blood pool structure representations from 2D short-axis CMR image slices in a multi-scale way.Specifically,our method employs both parallel and serial of dilated convolution layers with different dilation rates to capture multi-scale semantic features.Moreover,we design graduated up-sampling layers with subpixel layers as the decoder to reconstruct lost spatial information and produce accurate segmentation masks.We validated our method using 164 T1 Mapping CMR images and showed that it outperforms the advanced convolutional neural network(CNN)models.In validation metrics,we archived the Dice Similarity Coefficient(DSC)metric of 78.96%.Chaoyang Xia Jing Peng Zongqing Ma Xiaojie Li 2019Journal of Information Hiding and Privacy Protection2019,1,3:0

19Dynamically modulated synthesis of hollow metal-organic frameworks for selective hydrogenation reactions显示文摘Hollow metal-organic frameworks(MOFs)have attracted increasing attention in the field of catalysis in recent years due to their unique cavity structure with fast mass-diffusion rates and easily accessible active sites.Here,we report the use of dynamic modulators,which are formed by the in-situ imine condensation reaction of 4-aminobenzoic acid and 4-formylbenzoic acid,to regulate the growth of MOFs to synthesize well-defined hollow thioether functionalized UiO-67(denoted as H-UiO-67-S)single crystals.After supporting Pd nanoparticles,the designed catalysts Pd@H-UiO-67-S show excellent conversion(>99.9%),selectivity(>99.9%),and stability(10 cycles)in the selective hydrogenation of nitrobenzenes with other reducible groups.Density functional theory calculations and the experimental results reveal that Pd nanoparticles not only selectively adsorb the nitro-groups on nitrobenzene,but also restrict the adsorption of the aniline product,due to the interaction of thioether with Pd in the confined pores of H-UiO-67-S,finally result in a significant increase in selectivity of nitro-hydrogenation.Liyun Xiao Chuanqi Cheng Zhixi Li Chaoyang Zheng Jing Du Meina Song Yue Wan Shaopeng Li Guo Jun Meiting Zhao 2023Nano Research2023,16,8:0
