| 1 | Towards reliable Arctic sea ice prediction using multivariate data assimilation显示文摘Rapid declines in Arctic sea ice have captured attention and pose significant challenges to a variety of stakeholders. There is a rising demand for Arctic sea ice prediction at daily to seasonal time scales, which is partly a sea ice initial condition problem. Thus, a multivariate data assimilation that integrates sea ice observations to generate realistic and skillful model initialization is needed to improve predictive skill of Arctic sea ice. Sea ice data assimilation is a relatively new research area. In this review paper, we focus on two challenges for implementing multivariate data assimilation systems for sea ice forecast. First, to address the challenge of limited spatiotemporal coverage and large uncertainties of observations, we discuss sea ice parameters derived from satellite remote sensing that(1) have been utilized for improved model initialization, including concentration, thickness and drift, and(2) are currently under development with the potential for enhancing the predictability of Arctic sea ice, including melt ponds and sea ice leads. Second, to strive to generate the ‘‘best' estimate of sea ice initial conditions by combining model simulations/forecasts and observations, we review capabilities and limitations of different data assimilation techniques that have been developed and used to assimilate observed sea ice parameters in dynamical models. | Jiping Liu Zhiqiang Chen Yongyun Hu Yuanyuan Zhang Yifan Ding Xiao Cheng Qinghua Yang Lars Nerger Gunnar Spreen Radley Horton Jun Inoue Chaoyuan Yang Ming Li Mirong Song | 2019 | Science Bulletin2019,64,1: | 10 |
| 2 | Carbonaceous Nanofibers-titanium Dioxide Nanocomposites: Synthesis and Use as a Platform for Removal of Dye Pollutants显示文摘A mild chemistry route was developed to prepare carbonaceous nanofibers-titanium dioxide(CNF-TiO_2) nanocomposites for removal of dye pollutants. In the process of the template-directed hydrothermal carbonization(HTC), ultrathin Te nanowires were adopted as templates and glucose as the carbon source, and TiO_2 was decorated on CNF via the hydrolysis of tetrabutyltitanate in the presence of CNF in ethanol. The as-prepared materials were characterized by scanning electron microscopy(SEM), transmission electron microscopy(TEM), energy-dispersive X-ray(EDX) and X-ray diffraction(XRD). SEM and TEM observations displayed that TiO_2 nanoparticles were anchored on the CNF. EDX and XRD data confirmed that the assynthesized samples were CNF-TiO_2, and TiO_2 belonged to anatase titania. Taking advantage of combined benefits of carbonaceous nanofibers and titanium dioxide, these CNF-TiO_2 nanocomposites exhibited higher removal efficiency in a short time and showed good reusability. It was showed that over 97% of Rhodamine B could be removed in 15 min without generating the solid and liquid wastes. The removal efficiency of dyes was still over 80% after reuse in five cycles. All the results demonstrate that the as-prepared CNF-TiO_2 composites are effective materials for fast and effective removal of dye pollutants and thus can provide a new platform for dye decontamination. | 郭洪影 JIANG Shan WANG Chaoyuan LI Shenwan FENG Jianjian 孙红梅 ZHU Hongda GUO Huiling LIU Mingxing SUN Honghao | 2019 | Journal of Wuhan University of Technology(Materials Science)2019,34,2: | 3 |

| 5 | Fabrication of carboxylic graphene oxide-composited polypyrrole film for neurite growth under electrical stimulation显示文摘An aligned composite film was fabricated via the deposition of carboxylic graphe ne oxide(C-GO)and polypyrrole(PPy)nano particles on alig ned poly(L-lactic acid)(PLLA)fiber-films(named as C-GO/PPy/PLLA),which has the core(PLLA)-sheath(C-GO/PPy)structure,and the composition of C-GO(~4.8 wt.%of PPy sheath)significantly enhanced the tensile strength and the conductivity of the PPy/PLLA film?Especially, after 4 weeks of immersion in the PBS solution, the conductivity and the tensile strength of CGO/PPy/PLLA films still remained-6.10 S/cm and 28.9 MPa,respectively, which could meet the need of the sustained electrical stimulation(ES)therapy for nerve repair. Moreover, the neurite length and the neurite alignment were significantly in creased through exerting ES on C-GO/PPy/PLLA films due to their sustained conductivity in the fluid of cell culture. These results indicated that C-GO/PPy/PLLA with sustained conductivity and mechanical property possessed great potential of nerve repair by exerting lasting-ES. | Chaoyuan LIU Zhongbing HUANG Ximing PU Lei SHANG Guangfu YIN Xianchun CHEN Shuang CHENG | 2019 | Frontiers of Materials Science2019,13,3: | 0 |

| 7 | Modeling analysis revealed the distinct global transmission patterns of influenza A viruses and their influencing factors显示文摘Influenza A virus has caused huge damage to human health and poultry production worldwide, but its global transmission patterns and influencing factors remain unclear. Here,by using the Nearest Genetic Distance Approach with genetic sequences data,we reconstructed the global transmission patterns of 4 most common subtypes of influenza A virus(H1N1,H3N2,H5N1,and H7N9)and analyzed associations of transmission velocity of these influenza viruses with environmental factors. We found that the transmission patterns of influenza viruses and their associations with environmental factors were closely related to their host properties.H1N1 and H3N2,which are mainly held by humans, are transmitted between regions at high velocity and over long distances, which may be due to human transportation via airplane;while H5N1 and H7N9,which are mainly carried by animals, are transmitted locally at short distances and at low velocity, which may be facilitated by poultry transportation via railways or high ways.H1N1 and H3N2 spread faster in cold seasons, while H5N1 spread faster in both cold and warm seasons, and H7N9 spread faster in wet seasons.H1N1,H3N2,and H5N1 spread faster in places with both high and low human densities. Our study provided novel insights into the global transmission patterns, processes, and management strategies for influenza under accelerated global change. | Chaoyuan CHENG Jing LI Wenjun LIU Lei XU Zhibin ZHANG | 2021 | Integrative Zoology2021,16,6: | 0 |
