1The Effect of Tide on the Global Climate Change显示文摘The differential rotation between the solid and fluid spheres caused by tidal force could explain the 1500 to 1800-year cycle of the world's temperature. Strong tide increases the vertical and horizontal mixing of water in the oceans, drawing the cold Pacific water from the depths to the surface and the warm water from the west to the east, where it cools or warms the atmosphere above, absorbs or releases CO2 to decrease or increase greenhouse effect and to make La Nina or El Nino occur in the global. The moon's declination and obliquity of the ecliptic affect the tidal intensity. The exchange of tidal energy and tide-generating force caused by the sun, moon and major planets makes the earth's layers rotate in different speeds. 2Subthalamic nucleus deep brain stimulation for Parkinson’s disease: 8 years of follow-up显示文摘Objective:The short-term benefits of bilateral stimulation of the subthalamic nucleus(STN)in patients with advanced Parkinson’s disease(PD)are well documented,but long-term benefits are still uncertain.The aim of this study is to evaluate the outcome of 8 years of bilateral STN stimulation to PD patients.Methods:In this study,31 consecutive PD patients were treated with bilateral STN stimulation.Their functional status was measured using the Activities of Daily Living section of the Unified Parkinson’s Disease Rating Scale(UPDRS-ADL)at drug on(with medication)and drug off(without medication)states preoperatively and at 1,5,and 8 years postoperatively.In addition,Levodopa equivalent doses and stimulation parameters were also assessed.Results:After 8 years of STN stimulation,the UPDRS-ADL scores were improved by 4%at drug off status(P>0.05)and 22%at drug on status(P<0.05)compared with baseline;the levodopa daily doses were reduced by 28%(P<0.05)compared with baseline;the stimulation voltage and pulse width were not changed,but the stimulation frequency was decreased remarkably compared with the 5 years of follow-up.Adverse events were observed in 6 patients,including misplacement of the electrode and skin erosion requiring further surgery.All events were resolved without permanent sequelae.2 patients died of aspiration pneumonia 6 and 7 years after surgery.Conclusions:The marked improvement in UPDRS-ADL scores were still observed after 8 years of bilateral STN stimulation with medication.Dianyou Li Chunyan Cao Jing Zhang Shikun Zhan Shengdi Chen Bomin Sun 2013Translational Neurodegeneration2013,2,1:4

As far as the differential rotation of the earth’s inner core is concerned, the Galactic Year may change the gravitational constant G, the solar radiative quantity and the moving speed of the solar system and affect the exchange of angular momentum between core and mantle as well as the energy exchange between crust and mantle. As a result, this leads to eruptions of superplumes and magma, and controls the energy flow from core-mantle boundary (CMB) to crust. When the earth’s speed decreases, it will release a huge amount of energy. They are the reason of the correspondence of the volcanic cycles one by one with the astronomical periods one by one. 4The Relation between Tectonic Movement and Climatic Change显示文摘Climate and tectonics are two interactive factors in the earth’s system. They are controlled by astronomical cy-cles. It has been unheeded for a long time that large-scale material motion caused by global climatic change is one of the powers for tectonic movement. Tectonic movement makes the distributional pattern of continent and ocean change and makes global climate type change strongly in large scale. It is a good example that the change of the sea-ice around Antarctic Continent and in the Drake Passage has the switch process for global climatic changes. Tide makes the oceanic crust of the East Pacific Ocean and the West Pacific Ocean rise or fall 60 cm oppositely. Before and after El Nino events, the oceanic level of the East Pacific Ocean and the West Pacific Ocean may rise or fall 40 cm oppositely. Because of isostasy, oceanic crust may fall or rise 13 or 20 cm. They are the reasons why El Nino events are interrelated with the earthquakes and volcanoes. Strong tide increases the vertical and horizontal mixing of water in ocean by drawing the cold Pacific water from the depths to the surface (or by making the warm water flow from the West Pacific to the East as well as from the North to the South). It cools or warms the atmosphere above and makes La Nina or El Nino occur in the whole world. Astronomical data have shown that strong tide is often associated with El Nino events. Volcanic activities at sub-marine are also controlled by strong tide. Volcanic activities can also draw warm water from the depths to the surface in the Pacific and volcanic ash can keep out sunlight, which is the most important external forcing factor for El Nino. If vol-canic ash reaches into the stratosphere, finer aerosols will spread throughout the globe during a few months and will float in it for one to three years to weaken the sun’s direct radiation to the areas. 7Tectonic Movement and Global Climate Change显示文摘Glaciation between northern hemisphere and southern hemisphere were synchronous, the ice age occurred not in high but in low value of the eccentricity of the earth’s orbit. Such facts went against the precession principle of the astronomical theory of ice age. The inhomogeneous distribution of climate consisted with the inhomogeneous distribution of ocean and continent. The north/south antisymmetry may be attributed to southward deviation of the thermal center and northward deviation of the mass center within the mantle demonstrated by seismic tomography. The core - mantle angular momentum makes rotational energy into thermal energy and mantle plumes erupt in the ocean bottom. The earth’s deformation by tidal force makes the eruption of mantle plumes strong. They are the reason that glaciation between the Northern Hemisphere and Southern Hemisphere are synchronotis and the ice age occurred in low value of the eccentricity of the earth’s orbit. In the Earth’s revolution and the Earth’s rotation system, the energy conversion among the potential energy, thermal energy and rotational energy is different from that in non revolution and non rotation system. In the Earth’s core, there exists not only huge thermal energy, but huge rotation energy and radioactive heat source. They are the internal causes of energy liberation. Astronomical factor makes the Earth’s inner core to vibrate periodically, makes the Earth’s orbit, the Earth’s volume, the Earth’s ellipticity, speed of the Earth’s revolution and speed of the Earth’s rotation to change periodically, it is the external cause of the intermittent energy liberation. As concerns the differential rotation of the Earth’s inner core, the fluctuations of gravitational constant G value makes the solar radiative quantity and the solar system’s volume to change and to effect the exchange of core mantle angular momentum and volume of crust mantle, and so leads to the formation and eruption of the superplumes, so it controls the energy exchange in CMB. It is the reason for the correspondence of the geological cycles one by one with the astronomical periods and is the basic cause of the Earth’s rhythm. According to the astronomical periods, it is probable that the geological changes may be predicted in the future. The conclusion deduced from the spherical presure formula is emphasized here, that the earth core is in a non insulated status. This can, in the one hand, theoretically explain the large scale periodic energy release from the earth core, and it is also an appreciable warning to the over exploitation of energy from the interior of the earth, the thermal energy there is limited, not limitless. 11Wavelength injection locking actively Q-switched random fiber laser based on random phase-shifted fiber Bragg grating and electro-optic modulator显示文摘In this paper, an actively Q-switched wavelength injection locking random fiber laser(RFL) based on random phase-shifted fiber Bragg grating(RPS-FBG) is proposed, and the performance of the laser is verified by experiments. Within the reflection bandwidth range of RPS-FBG, spanning from 1 549.2 nm to 1 549.9 nm, different laser modes with stable central wavelength and peak power can be selectively chosen by varying the injected light wavelength. The power fluctuation within 1 h is less than 0.1 d Bm, and the central wavelength drift is less than 0.02 nm. When the pump power increases from 90 mW to 300 mW, the pulse width decreases from 3.2 μs to 1.5 μs, and the pulse repetition frequency is 20 kHz. The RFL can reach a stable locking state at the lowest pump power of 100 mW and the lowest injection power of 3 d Bm. When the wavelength is locked, the output pulse is a single pulse. On the contrary, the unlocked output pulse is multi-pulse.
