1Biosorption mechanisms involved in immobilization of soil Pb by Bacillus subtilis DBM in a multi-metal-contaminated soil显示文摘Mechanisms of soil Pb immobilization by Bacillus subtilis DBM, a bacterial strain isolated from a heavy-metal-contaminated soil, were investigated. Adsorption and desorption experiments with living bacterial cells as well as dead cells revealed that both extracellular adsorption and intracellular accumulation were involved in the Pb2+removal from the liquid phase. Of the sequestered Pb(II), 8.5% was held by physical entrapment within the cell wall, 43.3% was held by ion-exchange, 9.7% was complexed with cell surface functional groups or precipitated on the cell surface, and 38.5% was intracellularly accumulated.Complexation of Pb2+with carboxyl, hydroxyl, carbonyl, amido, and phosphate groups was demonstrated by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopic analysis. Precipitates of Pb5(PO4)3OH, Pb5(PO4)3Cl and Pb10(PO4)6(OH)2that formed on the cell surface during the biosorption process were identified by X-ray diffraction analysis. Transmission electron microscopy–energy dispersive spectroscopic analysis confirmed the presence of the Pb(II)precipitates and that Pb(II) could be sequestered both extracellularly and intracellularly.Incubation with B. subtilis DBM significantly decreased the amount of the weak-acid-soluble Pb fraction in a heavy-metal-contaminated soil, resulting in a reduction in Pb bioavailability, but increased the amount of its organic-matter-bound fraction by 71%. 2Climate and litter C/N ratio constrain soil organic carbon accumulation显示文摘Soil organic carbon(SOC) plays critical roles in stabilizing atmospheric CO2 concentration, but the mechanistic controls on the amount and distribution of SOC on global scales are not well understood. In turn, this has hampered the ability to model global C budgets and to find measures to mitigate climate change. Here, based on the data from a large field survey campaign with 2600 plots across China’s forest ecosystems and a global collection of published data from forested land, we find that a low litter carbon-to-nitrogen ratio(C/N) and high wetness index(P/PET, precipitation-to-potentialevapotranspiration ratio) are the two factors that promote SOC accumulation, with only minor contributions of litter quantity and soil texture. The field survey data demonstrated that high plant diversity decreased litter C/N and thus indirectly promoted SOC accumulation by increasing the litter quality. We conclude that any changes in plant-community composition, plant-species richness and environmental factors that can reduce the litter C/N ratio, or climatic changes that increase wetness index, may promote SOC accumulation. 3Comparison between several seismic inversion methods and their application in mountainous coal fields of western China显示文摘With the objective of establishing the necessary conditions for 3D seismic data from mountainous areas in western China, we compared the application results of wave impedance technology in the lithology and exploration of coal fields. First, we introduce principles and features of three kinds of inversion methods. i.e., Model-Based Inversion, Constrained Sparse Spike Inversion (CSSI) and Geology-Seismic Feature Inversion. Secondly, these inversion methods are contrasted in their application to 3D seismic data from some coalfields in western China. The main information provided by the research includes: improving the vertical resolution of coal deposit strata, inferring lateral variation of the lithology and predicting coal seams and their roof lithology. Finally, the comparison between the three methods shows that the model-based inversion has the higher resolution, while CSSI inversion has better waveform continuity. The geology-seismic feature inversion requires information from a large number of wells and many types of logging curves of good quality. 4Stability influence factors analysis and construction of a deep beam anchorage structure in roadway roof显示文摘Deep beam anchorage structures based on spatial distribution analysis of the cable prestressed field have been proposed for roadway roof support. Stability and other factors that influence deep beam structures are studied in this paper using mechanical calculations, numerical analysis and field measurements. A mechanical model of deep beam structure subjected to multiple loading is established, including analysis of roof support in the return airway of S1203 working face in the Yuwu coal mine, China. The expression of maximum shear stress in the deep beam structure is deduced according to the stress superposition criterion. It is found that the primary factors affecting deep beam structure stability are deep beam thickness, cable pre-tension and cable spacing. The variation of maximum shear stress distribution and prestressed field diffusion effects according to various factors are analyzed using Matlabòand FLAC3D^(TM) software, and practical support parameters of the S1203 return airway roof are determined.According to the observations of rock pressure, there is no evidence of roof separation, and the maximum values of roof subsidence and convergence of wall rock are 72 and 48 mm, respectively. 5Comparison between several multi-parameter seismic inversion methods in identifying plutonic igneous rocks显示文摘With the objective of establishing the necessary conditions for 3-D seismic data from a Permian plutonic oilfield in western China, we compared the technology of several multi-parameter seismic inversion methods in identifying igneous rocks. The most often used inversion methods are Constrained Sparse Spike Inversion (CSSI), Artificial Neural Network Inversion (ANN) and GR Pseudo-impedance Inversion. Through the application of a variety of inversion methods with log curves correction, we obtained relatively high-resolution impedance and velocity sections, effectively identifying the lithology of Permian igneous rocks and inferred lateral variation in the lithology of igneous rocks. By means of a comprehensive comparative study, we arrived at the following conclusions: the CSSI inversion has good waveform continuity, and the ANN inversion has lower resolution than the CSSI inversion. Orebodies are distributed inside and outside porphyry-cryptoexplosive breccia pipes. The deposit involves five ore-forming types, Le the porphyry type, crytoexplosivebreccia type. contact-zone veinlet-disseminated type, in-pipe fracture-zone filling-replacement type and out-of-pipetracture-zone filling-replacement type, forming an ore-forming system of 'five ore-forming types within a singlerock body' Fluid inclusion and isotope geochemical studies indicate the following: S, Pb, O and Sr were derivedfrom the lower crust, Nd was derived from the continental crust or depleted mantle and rare earth elements (REE)and trace elements have the crustal source characters; fluids consist dominantly of formation water, metamorphic wa-ter and meteoric water with a part of magmatic mater; heat came from porphyry while the latter originated from par-tial melting caused by shear heating in the lower crust and upper mantle. 7Effects of precipitation on soil organic carbon fractions in three subtropical forests in southern China显示文摘Aims The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of precipitation changes on soil organic carbon(SOC)fractions in subtropical forests where the precipitation pattern has been altered for decades.Methods We conducted field manipulations of precipitation,including ambient precipitation as a control(CK),double precipitation(DP)and no precipitation(NP),for 3 years in three forests with different stand ages(broadleaf forest[BF],mixed forest[MF]and pine forest[PF])in subtropical China.At the end of the experiment,soil samples were collected to assay SOC content,readily oxidizable organic carbon(ROC)and non-readily oxidizable organic carbon(NROC),as well as soil microbial biomass carbon(MBC),pH and total nitrogen content.Samples from the forest floors were also collected to analyze carbon(C)functional groups(i.e.alkyl C,aromatic C,O-alkyl C and carbonyl C).Furthermore,fine root biomass was measured periodically throughout the experiment.Important Findings Among the forests,ROC content did not exhibit any notable differences,while NROC content increased significantly with the stand age.This finding implied that the SOC accumulation observed in these forests resulted from the accumulation of NROC in the soil,a mechanism for SOC accumulation in the mature forests of southern China.Moreover,NP treatment led to significant reductions in both ROC and NROC content and therefore reduced the total SOC content in all of the studied forests.Such decreases may be due to the lower plant-derived C inputs(C quantity)and to the changes in SOC components(C quality)indicated by C functional groups analyses under NP treatment.DP treatment in all the forests also tended to decrease the SOC content,although the decreases were not statistically significant with the exception of SOC and ROC content in PF.This finding indicated that soils in MF and in BF may be more resistant to precipitation increases,possibly due to less water limitations under natural conditions in the two forests.Our results therefore highlight the different responses of SOC and its fractions to precipitation changes among the forests and suggest that further studies are needed to improve our understanding of SOC dynamics in such an important C sink region.Xiaomei Chen Deqiang Zhang Guohua Liang Qingyan Qiu Juxiu Liu Guoyi Zhou Shizhong Liu Guowei Chu Junhua Yan 2016Journal of Plant Ecology2016,9,1:4
8The effect of interaction between Bacillus subtilis DBM and soil minerals on Cu(Ⅱ) and Pb(Ⅱ) adsorption显示文摘The effects of interaction between Bacillus subtilis DBM and soil minerals on Cu(Ⅱ)and Pb(Ⅱ)adsorption were investigated.After combination with DBM,the Cu(Ⅱ)and Pb(Ⅱ)adsorption capacities of kaolinite and goethite improved compared with the application of the minerals independently.The modeling results of potentiometric titration data proved that the site concentrations of kaolinite and goethite increased by 80%and 30%,respectively after combination with DBM.However,the involvement of functional groups in the DBM/mineral combinations resulted in lower concentrations of observed sites than the theoretical values and led to the enhancement of desorption rates by NH_4NO_3 and EDTA-Na_2.The DBM-mineral complexes might also help to prevent heavy metals from entering DBM cells to improve the survivability of DBM in heavy metal-contaminated environments.During the combination process,the extracellular proteins of DBM provided more binding sites for the minerals to absorb Cu(Ⅱ)and Pb(Ⅱ).In particular,an especially stable complexation site was formed between goethite and phosphodiester bonds from EPS to enhance the Pb(Ⅱ)adsorption capacity.So,we can conclude that the DBM–mineral complexes could improve the Cu(Ⅱ)and Pb(Ⅱ)adsorption capacities of minerals and protect DBM in heavy metal-contaminated environments.Jun Bai Yuanqing Chao Yanmei Chen Shizhong Wang Rongliang Qiu 2019Journal of Environmental Sciences2019,31,4:4
9Chromosome-scale genome assembly of sweet cherry(Prunus avium L.)cv.Tieton obtained using long-read and Hi-C sequencing显示文摘Sweet cherry(Prunus avium)is an economically significant fruit species in the genus Prunus.However,in contrast to other important fruit trees in this genus,only one draft genome assembly is available for sweet cherry,which was assembled using only Illumina short-read sequences.The incompleteness and low quality of the current sweet cherry draft genome limit its use in genetic and genomic studies.A high-quality chromosome-scale sweet cherry reference genome assembly is therefore needed.A total of 65.05 Gb of Oxford Nanopore long reads and 46.24 Gb of Illumina short reads were generated,representing~190x and 136x coverage,respectively,of the sweet cherry genome.The final de novo assembly resulted in a phased haplotype assembly of 344.29 Mb with a contig N50 of 3.25 Mb.Hi-C scaffolding of the genome resulted in eight pseudochromosomes containing 99.59%of the bases in the assembled genome.Genome annotation revealed that more than half of the genome(59.40%)was composed of repetitive sequences,and 40,338 protein-coding genes were predicted,75.40%of which were functionally annotated.With the chromosomescale assembly,we revealed that gene duplication events contributed to the expansion of gene families for salicylic acid/jasmonic acid carboxyl methyltransferase and ankyrin repeat-containing proteins in the genome of sweet cherry.Four auxin-responsive genes(two GH3s and two SAURs)were induced in the late stage of fruit development,indicating that auxin is crucial for the sweet cherry ripening process.In addition,772 resistance genes were identified and functionally predicted in the sweet cherry genome.The high-quality genome assembly of sweet cherry obtained in this study will provide valuable genomic resources for sweet cherry improvement and molecular breeding.Jiawei Wang Weizhen Liu Dongzi Zhu Po Hong Shizhong Zhang Shijun Xiao Yue Tan Xin Chen Li Xu Xiaojuan Zong Lisi Zhang Hairong Wei Xiaohui Yuan Qingzhong Liu 2020Horticulture Research2020,7,1:4

11Naringenin is a Potential Immunomodulator for Inhibiting Liver Fibrosis by Inhibiting the cGAS-STING Pathway显示文摘Background and Aims:Naringenin is an anti-inflammatory flavonoid that has been studied in chronic liver disease.The mechanism specific to its antifibrosis activity needs further investigation This study was to focused on the cyclic guanosine monophosphate-adenosine monophosphate synthase(cGAS)pathway in hepatic stellate cells and clarified the antifibrosis mechanism of naringenin.Methods:The relationship between the cGAS-stimulator of interferon genes(STING)pathway and liver fibrosis was analyzed using the Gene Expression Omnibus database.Histopathology,immunohistochemistry,fluorescence staining,Western blotting and polymerase chain reaction were performed to assess gene and protein expression levels associated with the cGAS pathway in clinical liver tissue samples and mouse livers.Molecular docking was performed to evaluate the relationship between naringenin and cGAS,and western blotting was performed to study the expression of inflammatory factors downstream of cGAS in vitro.Results:Clinical database analyses showed that the cGAS-STING pathway is involved in the occurrence of chronic liver disease.Naringenin ameliorated liver injury and liver fibrosis,decreased collagen deposition and cGAS expression,and inhibited inflammation in carbon tetrachloride(CCl4)-treated mice.Molecular docking found that cGAS may be a direct target of naringenin.Consistent with the in vivo results,we verified the inhibitory effect of naringenin on activated hepatic stellate cells(HSCs).By using the cGAS-specific agonist double-stranded(ds)DNA,we showed that naringenin attenuated the activation of cGAS and its inflammatory factors affected by dsDNA.We verified that naringenin inhibited the cGAS-STING pathway,thereby reducing the secretion of inflammatory factors by HSCs to ameliorate liver fibrosis.Conclusions:Interrupting the cGAS-STING pathway helped reverse the fibrosis process.Naringenin has potential as an antihepatic fibrosis drug.Li Chen Siwei Xia Shuqi Wang Yuanyuan Zhou Feixia Wang Zhanghao Li Yang Li Desong Kong Zili Zhang Jiangjuan Shao Xuefen Xu Feng Zhang Shizhong Zheng 2023Journal of Clinical and Translational Hepatology2023,11,1:3

13Optical bandgap energy of CH3NH3PbI3 perovskite studied by photoconductivity and reflectance spectroscopy显示文摘Organic-inorganic hybrid perovskite materials have been receiving considerable attention due to their promising applications in many optoelectronic fields. However, the optical bandgap of CH_3NH_3PbI_3 perovskite is still disputed. In order to comprehend the intrinsic characteristics of these materials, we study the near-band-edge optical responses of the solution-processed CH_3NH_3PbI_3 perovskite crystals by photoconductivity and reflectance spectroscopy at room temperature. All these spectra of the CH_3NH_3PbI_3 polycrystals show only one significant absorption edge at 1.58 eV. However, we observe an extra absorption edge at 1.47 eV in CH_3NH_3PbI_3 single crystal. We establish a simple kinetic model of charge annihilation processes to explain why the low-energy structure of the photoconductivity and diffuse reflectance spectra of CH_3NH_3PbI_3 polycrystals disappear, which provides another possibility for understanding the difference in absorption edge. 15Inhibition of ASCT2 induces hepatic stellate cell senescence with modified proinflammatory secretome through an IL-1α/NF-κB feedback pathway to inhibit liver fibrosis显示文摘Senescence of activated hepatic stellate cells(aHSCs) is a stable growth arrest that is implicated in liver fibrosis regression.Senescent cells often accompanied by a multi-faceted senescence-associated secretory phenotype(SASP).But little is known about how alanine-serine-cysteine transporter type-2(ASCT2),a high affinity glutamine transporter,affects HSC senescence and SASP during liver fibrosis.Here,we identified ASCT2 is mainly elevated in aHSCs and positively correlated with liver fibrosis in human and mouse fibrotic livers.We first discovered ASCT2 inhibition induced HSCs to senescence in vitro and in vivo.The proinflammatory SASP were restricted by ASCT2 inhibition at senescence initiation to prevent paracrine migration.Mechanically,ASCT2 was a direct target of glutaminolysisdependent proinflammatory SASP,interfering IL-1α/NF-κB feedback loop via interacting with precursor IL-1α at Lys82.From a translational perspective,atractylenolide Ⅲ is identified as ASCT2 inhibitor through directly bound to Asn230 of ASCT2.The presence of -OH group in atractylenolide Ⅲ is suggested to be favorable for the inhibition of ASCT2.Importantly,atractylenolide Ⅲ could be utilized to treat liver fibrosis mice.Taken together,ASCT2 controlled HSC senescence while modifying the proinflammatory SASP.Targeting ASCT2 by atractylenolide Ⅲ could be a therapeutic candidate for liver fibrosis.Feixia Wang Zhanghao Li Li Chen Ting Yang Baoyu Liang Zili Zhang Jiangjuan Shao Xuefen Xu Guoping Yin Shijun Wang Hai Ding Feng Zhang Shizhong Zheng 2022Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2022,12,9:2
16Fiber optical parametric oscillator based on highly nonlinear dispersion-shifted fiber显示文摘The development of fiber optical parametric oscillators (FOPO) based on highly nonlinear dispersion- shifted fiber is reviewed in this paper. Firstly, the background and motivation are introduced, and it is pointed out that the FOPO is promising to act as optical source in non-conventional wavelength bands. Subsequently, the context focuses principally on the problem of inherent multiple-longitudinal-mode characteristic of FOPO and the corresponding solutions to it. The primary technique is by locking the phase of multiple longitudinal modes. The first reported actively mode locked FOPO is also presented in this article. However, it is not probable to realize passively mode locked FOPO because of the random phase dithering of the pump required for suppressing stimulated Brillouin scattering. Furthermore, a regeneratively mode locked FOPO is demonstrated, which can generate wide band tunable radiation in non- conventional wavelengths. 17A Reconfigurable Microstrip Patch Antenna with Frequency and Circular Polarization Diversities显示文摘A novel microstrip patch antenna with both frequency and circular polarization diversities is presented. The proposed antenna consists of two parts, a patch with two orthogonal slots on the upper substrate and a3 d B hybrid coupler fed structure which printed on the lower substrate. Two groups of diodes placed across the orthogonal slots are utilized to achieve frequency reconfiguration. Another two diodes, placed between the input port of the antenna and the 3d B hybrid coupler, are utilized to switch between Left-hand circular polarization(LHCP)and Right-hand circular polarization(RHCP). Full wave simulation is used for the antenna analysis, and a prototype of the antenna with an integrated Direct current(DC) biasing circuit has been fabricated and measured.
