| 1 | Combined use of phospholipid complexes and self-emulsifying microemulsions for improving the oral absorption of a BCS class IV compound, baicalin显示文摘The aim of this study was to develop a formulation to improve the oral absorption of baicalin(BA)by combining a phospholipid complex(PC)and self-emulsifying microemulsion drug delivery system(SMEDDS),termed BA–PC–SMEDDS.BA–PC was prepared by a solvent evaporation method and evaluated by complexation percentage(CP).The physicochemical properties of BA–PC were determined.The synergistic effect of PC and SMEDDS on permeation of BA was studied in vitro with Caco-2 cells and in situ with a single pass intestinal perfusion model.The improved bioavailability of BA in BA–PC–SMEDDS was confirmed in an in vivo rat model.The CP of BA–PC reached 100%when the molar ratio of drug to phospholipid(PP)was Z1:1.The solubility of BA–PC increased in both water and octanol,and the log P o/w of BA–PC was increased significantly.BA–PC–SMEDDS could be dispersed more evenly in water,compared to BA and BA–PC.Both the Caco-2 cell uptake and single-pass intestinal perfusion models illustrated that transport of BA in BA–PC was lower than that of free BA,while improved significantly in BA–PC–SMEDDS.The relative bioavailability of BA–PC(1:2)–SMEDDS was 220.37%.The combination system of PC and SMEDDS had a synergistic effect on improving the oral absorption of BA. | Huiyi Wu Xiaoying Long Fei Yuan Li Chen Sujing Pan Yunjun Liu Yoshiko Stowell Xiaoling Li | 2014 | Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2014,4,3: | 14 |

| 6 | Comparison of the Macrozoobenthic Community and Sedimentary Environment with and Without Horseshoe Crab Presence in the Crocodile Island Intertidal Zone,Xiamen,China显示文摘In order to compare the macrozoobenthic community and sedimentary environment with and without the presence of horseshoe crabs,the benthic macrofauna,sediment grain size,chromium(Cr),cobalt(Co),nickel(Ni),polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon(PAHs),organic carbon and nitrogen were seasonally investigated at site A(with horseshoe crab presence),sites B and C(without horseshoe crab presence)in the Crocodile Island intertidal zone in Xiamen from June 2018 to July 2019.The results showed that most of the community parameters of benthic macrofauna,population parameters of common benthic macrofauna and environmental parameters were significantly different at the sites with horseshoe crab versus non-horseshoe crab sites.A two-way ANOVA test showed that the densities of Ceratonereis erythraeensis and Sigambra hanaokai had significant site variation.Cluster and nonmetric multi-dimensional scaling(NMDS)analysis showed the community composition of benthic macrofauna was significantly different among the three sampling sites over four seasons.The mean sand content at site A(64.32%)was higher than those at site B(36.01%)and site C(18.86%).Conversely,the mean contents of silt,clay,Cr,Co,Ni,organic carbon,organic nitrogen,phenanthrene,and pyrene at site A were lower than those at site B and site C.These observations are consistent with the expected preferences of horseshoe crabs to live in areas with 60%sand content,which is associated with abundant and edible clamworms in the Crocodile Island intertidal zone,Xiamen. | CAI Lizhe ZHAO Xiaoyu PENG Wenqing LIN Jingxiang YANG Deyuan RAO Yiyong FU Sujing CHEN Xinwei CAO Wenzhi | 2022 | Journal of Ocean University of China2022,21,3: | 1 |
| 7 | A novel approach for VOC source apportionment combining characteristic factor and pattern recognition technology in a Chinese industrial area显示文摘Volatile organic compound(VOC) emission control and source apportionment in small-scale industrial areas have become key topics of air pollution control in China. This study proposed a novel characteristic factor and pattern recognition(CF-PR) model for VOC source apportionment based on the similarity of characteristic factors between sources and receptors.A simulation was carried out in a typical industrial area with the CF-PR model involving simulated receptor samples. Refined and accurate source profiles were constructed through in situ sampling and analysis, covering rubber, chemicals, coating, electronics, plastics, printing, incubation and medical treatment industries. Characteristic factors of n-undecane,styrene, o-xylene and propane were identified. The source apportionment simulation results indicated that the predicted contribution rate was basically consistent with the real contribution rate. | 8 | A supplementary assessment system of AQI-V for comprehensive management and control of air quality in chemical industrial parks显示文摘Volatile organic compounds(VOCs)are the dominant pollutants in industrial parks.However,they are not generally considered as part of the air quality index(AQI)system,which leads to a biased assessment of pollution in industrial parks.In this study,a supplementary assessment system of AQI-V was established by analyzing VOCs characteristics with vehicle-mounted PTR-TOFMS instrument,correlation analysis and the standards analysis.Three hourly and daily scenarios were considered,and the hierarchical parameter setting was further optimized by field application.The hourly and daily assessments revealed the evaluation factors for the discriminability of different air quality levels,practiced value for regional air quality improvement,and the reservation of general dominant pollutants.Finally,the universality testing in ZPIP successfully recognized most of the peaks,with 54.76%,38.39%and 6.85%for O_(3),VOCs and NO_(2) as the dominant pollutant,and reflected the daily ambient air quality condition,togetherwith the dominant pollutant.The AQI-V systemwith VOCs sub-index is essential for air quality evaluation in industrial parks,which can further provide scientific support to control the pollution of VOCs and the secondary pollutant,therefore significantly improve the air quality in local industrial parks. | Qiaoli Wang Dongping Sheng Chengzhi Wu Deji Jing Nana Cheng Xingnong Cai Sujing Li Jingkai Zhao Wei Li Jianmeng Chen | 2023 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2023,,8: | 0 |
