4Recent Progress and Design Principles for Rechargeable Lithium Organic Batteries显示文摘The most commonly used electrode materials in lithium organic batteries(LOBs)are redox-active organic materials,which have the advantages of low cost,environmental safety,and adjustable structures.Although the use of organic materials as electrodes in LOBs has been reported,these materials have not attained the same recognition as inorganic electrode materials,mainly due to their slight electronic conductivity and possible solubility in organic electrolytes,resulting in a low reversible capacity.However,over the past 10 years,organic materials have achieved outstanding results when used as battery electrodes,and an increasing number of researchers have realized their significance.This review summarizes the recent progress in organic electrodes for use in rechargeable LOBs.By classifying Li-storage mechanisms with various functional organic groups and designing molecules for next-generation advanced lithium organic systems,we attempt to analyze the working principle and the effect of various organic functionalities on electrochemical performance,to reveal the advantages and disadvantages of various organic molecules and to propose possible design principles and development trends for future LOBs.In addition,we highlight the recently reported two-dimensional covalent organic framework that is unique in its extensiveπconjugated structure and Li-storage mechanisms based on benzene and N-containing rings;this framework is considered to be the most promising alternative to metal-based electrode materials with comparable large reversible capacities and long cycle lives.Xiudong Chen Xiaojie Yin Junaid Aslam Weiwei Sun Yong Wang 2022Electrochemical Energy Reviews2022,5,4:1

6Determination of dietary copper requirement by the monoamine oxidase activity in kidney of broilers from 1 to 21 days of age显示文摘The current dietary copper(Cu)requirement(8 mg/kg)of broilers is mainly based on growth,hemoglobin concentration,or hematocrit,which might not be the most sensitive indices to evaluate dietary Cu requirements of broilers.The present study was carried out to estimate dietary Cu requirements of broilers fed a conventional corn-soybean meal diet from 1 to 21 d of age using biochemical or molecular biomarkers.A total of 3841-d-old Arbor Acres male broilers were randomly allocated to 1 of 6 treatments with 8 replicates and fed a Cu-unsupplemented corn-soybean meal basal diet containing 5.17 mg Cu/kg by analysis and the basal diet supplemented with 3,6,9,12 or 15 mg Cu/kg as CuSO4,5H2O for 21 d.Regression analysis was performed to estimate the optimal dietary Cu level using the broken-line model.Dietary supplemental Cu level affected(P<0.05)Cu contents in serum and liver and kidney monoamine oxidase(MAO)activity,but had no effects(P>0.05)on the growth performance,Cu contents in heart,kidney,pancreas and spleen,Cu-and zinc-containing superoxide dismutase(CuZnSOD)activity and ceruloplasmin content in serum,CuZnSOD and cytochrome c oxidase(COX)activities and ceruloplasmin,CuZnSOD,MAO A,MAO B,COX 4I1 and COX 1 mRNA and protein expressions in the above tissues of broilers.As dietary supplemental Cu levels increased,Cu contents in serum and liver increased linearly(P<0.05),but kidney MAO activity decreased linearly and quadratically(P<0.05).The estimated dietary Cu requirement based on the fitted broken-line model(P=0.035)of kidney MAO activity was 11.30 mg/kg.In conclusion,kidney MAO activity is a new and sensitive criterion to evaluate the dietary Cu requirement of broilers,and the dietary Cu requirement was 11.30 mg/kg for broilers fed the conventional corn-soybean meal diet from 1 to 21 d of age,which is higher than the current National Research Council(NRC)Cu requirement(8 mg/kg)of broilers.Yun Hu Zhiyong Chen Lin Lu Liyang Zhang Tao Liu Xugang Luo Xiudong Liao 2022Animal Nutrition2022,,1:0

8Response of Distribution Range Against Climate Change and Habitat Preference of Four National Protected Diploderma Species in Tibetan Plateau显示文摘Understanding the spatial distribution and habitat preference for rare and endangered species are essential for effective conservation practice.We examined the spatial distribution and habitat preference of four Diploderma species(Diploderma drukdaypo,D.laeviventre,D.batangense,and D.vela),which are endemic to the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and are currently under state protection.We used the ensembles of small models(ESM)approach and predicted potential distribution ranges of the species in current and two future climate scenarios(SSP126 and SSP585).The degree of overlap between the predicted distribution ranges and existing natural reserves was further analyzed.Habitat preference was examined using a paired quadrat method.Our results predicted that D.drukdaypo has a current distribution range of 600 km^(2),which would decrease to 50 km^(2)and 55 km^(2)under the SSP126 and SSP585 respectively.For D.laeviventre,the current distribution range is 817 km^(2),with minimum changes in the two future climate scenarios(774 km^(2)and 902 km^(2)).For D.batangense,the current distribution range is 875 km^(2),which would expand to 1522 km^(2)and 3340 km^(2)in the two future climate scenarios.Similarly for D.vela,the current distribution range is 1369 km^(2),which would change to 1825 km^(2)and 2043 km^(2)respectively under the two future climate scenarios.The effect of protection of current nature reserves are likely low for those species;we found no overlap(D.drukdaypo,D.laeviventre)or little overlap(D.batangense 2.04%–3.56%,D.vela 15.52%–16.87%)between the currently designated protection area and distribution range under current and future climate scenarios.For habitat preference,stones appear to be the critical habitat element for those species although different species had different stone requirements.Taken together,we provided critical information on potential distribution ranges and habitat preference for four endangered Diploderma species,and confirmed the inadequacy of current nature reserves.The establishment of new or expansion of existing nature reserves is urgent for the conservation of those species.Lin SHI Xiudong SHI Yuning CAO Yayong WU Haijuan WEI Youhua CHEN Ziyan LIAO Yin QI 2023Asian Herpetological Research2023,14,4:0
93D printed lactic acid bacteria hydrogel:cell release kinetics and stability显示文摘In this study,a new type of 3 D printed living biological hydrogel was developed by integrating lactic acid bacteria(LAB)into biocompatible and non-toxic polymer materials.Interestingly,the living materials loaded with LAB can be freeze-dried and reused for more than 100 times.The bio-hydrogel can be used to co-culture different LAB and keep its fermentation performance stable in long-term use.The release kinetics model and response surface method were used to simulate and optimize the bacteria release mode in the bio-hydrogel.The results show that the release of bacteria from hydrogel is regulated by the coupling of Fickian diffusion and polymer swelling.The stability of LAB hydrogel was evaluated by reuse experiments.The images of confocal microscopy and scanning electron microscope showed that the bacteria with high cell viability were distributed in the hydrogel and intact structure of the living hydrogel was maintained after 100 times of reuse as yoghurt starter.In conclusion,the 3 D printed LAB bio-hydrogel developed in this study has the advantage of reuse and sustainability,which is expected to open up a new way for the preparation of food culture starter.Yifei Liu Xintao Yin Xiudong Xia Zhen Liu Lifei Chen Mingsheng Dong 2023Food Science and Human Wellness2023,12,2:0
