1Effects of high pressure on the microstructure and hardness of a Cu-Zn alloy显示文摘The microstructure of a Cu-Zn alloy treated under different high pressures was investigated by means of metallographic, scanning electron microscope (SEM), energy dispersive spectrometer (EDS), and X-ray diffraction (XRD), and the hardness of the Cu-Zn alloy was also measured. The results show that the α phase with a smaller grain size, different shapes, and random distribution appears in the Cu-Zn alloy during the solid-state phase transformation generation in the temperature range of 25-750°C and the pressure range of 0-6 GPa. The amount of residual α phase in the microstructure decreases and then increases with increasing pressure. Under a high pressure of 3 GPa, the least volume fraction of residual α phase was obtained, and under a high pressure of 6 GPa, the changes of the microstructure of the Cu-Zn alloy were not obvious. 2Leonurine protects ischemia-induced brain injury via modulating SOD, MDA and GABA levels显示文摘The present study was designed to investigate the protective effects of leonurine, a compound purified from Herba Leonuri that is active on ischemic rat behavior and cortical neurons, and explore the underlying mechanism. The general rat activity, cortical neuron morphology, superoxide dismutase (SOD), malondialdehyde (MDA),γ- aminobutyric acid (GABA) and glutamate decarboxylase 67 (GAD67) levels were measured. We found leonurine significantly improve the general activity of rats in an opefield test, which was associated with attenuated neuronal damage induced by ischemia. Moreover, serum SOD activity was significantly greater, MDA level lower in the leonurine group as compared with ischemia group. In addition, GABA content in the cerebral cortex was significantly greater in high-dose leonurine group. Correspondingly, GAD67 protein level coincided with the GABA level. 3Fe_3O_4@C nanoparticles as high-performance Fenton-like catalyst for dye decoloration显示文摘Water pollution has become serious environmental problem nowadays. Advanced oxidation processes(AOP) have been widely applied in water treatment.However, traditional Fenton reaction based on Fe2﹢-H2O2 system has obvious drawbacks, which limit its applications In this study, magnetic Fe3O4core-C shell nanoparticles(Fe3O4@C NPs) were prepared for the decoloration of methylene blue(MB) via the co-precipitation followed by the hydrothermal dehydrogenation of glucose. Fe3O4@C NPs showed high catalytic activity of the decoloration of MB through the decomposition of H2O2 in Fenton-like reactions. Fe3O4@C NPs had much higher activity than bare Fe3O4 cores, suggesting the coating of carbon enhanced the catalytic activity. The performance of Fe3O4@C NPs was better at lower pH and higher temperature, but was significantly inhibited in the presence of radical scavenger tertiary butanol. Fe3O4@C NPs could be magnetic separated and regenerated, and maintained with very good catalytic activity. 4Migration capacity of human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells towards glioma in vivo显示文摘High-grade glioma is the most common malignant primary brain tumor in adults.The poor prognosis of glioma,combined with a resistance to currently available treatments,necessitates the development of more effective tumor-selective therapies.Stem cell-based therapies are emerging as novel cell-based delivery vehicle for therapeutic agents.In the present study,we successfully isolated human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells by explant culture.The human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells were adherent to plastic surfaces,expressed specific surface phenotypes of mesenchymal stem cells as demonstrated by flow cytometry,and possessed multi-differentiation potentials in permissive induction media in vitro.Furthermore,human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells demonstrated excellent glioma-specific targeting capacity in established rat glioma models after intratumoral injection or contralateral ventricular administration in vivo.The excellent glioma-specific targeting ability and extensive intratumoral distribution of human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells indicate that they may serve as a novel cellular vehicle for delivering therapeutic molecules in glioma therapy.Cungang Fan Dongliang Wang Qingjun Zhang Jingru Zhou 2013Neural Regeneration Research2013,8,22:5
5Overexpressed Cyclin D1 and CDK4 proteins are responsible for the resistance to CDK4/6 inhibitor in breast cancer that can be reversed by PI3K/mTOR inhibitors显示文摘CDK4/6 inhibitors are the standard treatment in advanced HR+/HER2-breast cancer patients.Nevertheless,the resistance to CDK4/6 inhibitors is inevitable and the strategies to overcome resistance are of great interest.Here,we show that the palbociclibresistant breast cancer cells expressed significantly higher levels of Cyclin D1 and CDK4 proteins because of upregulated protein synthesis.Silencing Cyclin D1 or CDK4 led to cell cycle arrest while silencing Cyclin E1 or CDK2 restored the sensitivity to palbociclib.Furthermore,PI3K/mTOR pathway was hyper-activated in palbociclib-resistant cells,leading to more phosphorylated 4E-BP1 and higher levels of Cyclin D1 and CDK4 translation.Targeting PI3K/mTOR pathway with a specific PI3Kαinhibitor(BYL719)or an mTOR inhibitor(everolimus)reduced the protein levels of Cyclin D1 and CDK4,and restored the sensitivity to palbociclib.The tumor samples expressed significantly higher levels of Cyclin D1,CDK4,p-AKT and p-4E-BP1 after progression on palbociclib treatment.In conclusion,our findings suggest that overexpressed Cyclin D1 and CDK4 proteins lead to the resistance to CDK4/6 inhibitor and PI3K/mTOR inhibitors are able to restore the sensitivity to CDK4/6 inhibitors,which provides the biomarker and rationale for the combinational use of CDK4/6 inhibitors and PI3K/mTOR inhibitors after CDK4/6 inhibitor resistance in breast cancer.Zijie Cai Jingru Wang Yudong Li Qianfeng Shi Liang Jin Shunying Li Mengdi Zhu Qi Wang Lok Lam Wong Wang Yang Hongna Lai Chang Gong Yandan Yao Yujie Liu Jun Zhang Herui Yao Qiang Liu 2023Science China(Life Sciences)2023,66,1:4
6Photosynthetic acclimation to long-term high temperature and soil drought stress in two spruce species (Picea crassifolia and P. wilsonii) used for afforestation显示文摘Picea crassifolia and P.wilsonii,commonly used for afforestation in northern China,are increasingly likely to be subjected to high temperatures and soil drought stress as a result of global warming.However,little is known about the effects of these stresses on foliar photosynthesis in the two species.To investigate how photosynthetic characteristics and sensitivity respond to prolonged high temperatures and soil drought,foliar gas exchange and other closely related parameters were recorded from four-year-old seedlings of both species.Seedlings were grown under two temperature treatments(25/15 and 35/25 °C) and four soil water regimes [80,60,40 and 20% of maximum field capacity(FC)] for 4 months.Although all treatments significantly reduced photosynthetic rates(P_n) of both species,P.crassifolia exhibited greater photosynthetic acclimation than P.wilsonii.Differences in photosynthetic acclimation were mainly related to variations in stomatal conductance(Cond) and the maximum quantum yield of PSII(F_v/F_m) between treatments.Indeed,higher Cond and F_v/F_m in all treatments were shown for P.crassifolia than for P.wilsonii.Moreover,photosynthesis in P.crassifolia exhibited inherently lower temperature sensitivities(broader span for the temperature response curves; lower b) and higher thermostability(invariable b between treatments).Further,severe drought stress(20% FC) limited the survival of P.wilsonii.Our results indicate that P.wilsonii is more susceptible to high temperatures and soil drought stress.Planting P.crassifolia would be more expected to survive these conditions and hence be of greater benefit to forest stability if predicted increases in drought and temperature in northern China occur.Xiaowei Zhang Litong Chen Jingru Wang Minghao Wang Shuli Yang Changming Zhao 2018Journal of Forestry Research2018,29,2:4
7LiPO_(2)F_(2) electrolyte additive for high-performance Li-rich cathode material显示文摘Li-rich layered oxide cathodes have received considerable attention because of the high operating potential and specific capacity. However, the structural instability and parasitic reactions at high potential cause severe degradation of the electrochemical performance. In our studies, the cycling stability of Li_(1.14)Ni_(0.133)Co_(0.133)Mn_(0.544)O_(2) cathode is improved with LiPO_(2)F_(2) electrolyte additive. After 500 cycles, the capacity retention is increased from 53.6% to 85% at 3 C by LiPO_(2)F_(2) modification. This performance is mainly attributed to the enhanced interfacial stability of the Li-rich cathode. Based on systematic characterization, LiPO_(2)F_(2) additive was found to promote a stable interface film on the cathode surface during the cycling and mitigates the interfacial side reactions. 8TiO_2-doped Fe_3O_4 nanoparticles as high-performance Fenton-like catalyst for dye decoloration显示文摘Fenton reaction based on Fe2+-H2O2 system has been widely applied in water remediation, but the obvious drawbacks largely hinder its practical uses. Alternatively, heterogeneous nanomaterials with proper surface modification could be used as Fenton-like catalysts. Surface doping of Ti O2 could concentrate the pollutants surrounding the Fe3O4 catalyst, which might benefit the catalytic performance of Fe3O4. Herein, we reported that Ti O2-doped Fe3O4 nanoparticles(NPs) could be used as high-performance Fenton-like catalyst for dye decoloration in near neutral environment, where the doping of Ti O2 on Fe3O4 surface dramatically improved the catalytic activity of Fe3O4 in Fenton-like reaction. Ti O2-doped Fe3O4 NPs catalyzed the decomposition of H2O2 to oxidize methylene blue without external energy supply, resulting in effective decoloration. Ti O2-doped Fe3O4 NPs showed high catalytic activity under various p H values and even in the presence of radical scavenger. More catalysts and H2O2 would facilitate the decoloration. At higher temperature, the decoloration became faster and more effective. 10Detailed resume of RNA m^(6)A demethylases显示文摘N6-Methyladenosine(m^(6)A) is the most abundant internal modification in eukaryotic mRNA,playing critical role in various bioprocesses. 11Innovative color jet 3D printing of levetiracetam personalized paediatric preparations显示文摘3D printing is a promising technology used in the fabrication of complex oral dosage delivery pharmaceuticals.This study first reports an innovative color jet 3D printing(CJ-3DP)technology to produce colorful cartoon levetiracetam pediatric preparations with high accuracy and reproducibility.For this study,the ideal printing ink consisted of 40%(v/v)isopropanol aqueous solution containing 0.05%(w/w)polyvinylpyrrolidone and 4%(w/w)glycerin,which was satisfied with scale-up of the production.The external and internal spatial structures of the tablets were designed to control the appearance and release,and cartoon tablets with admirable appearances and immediate release characteristics were printed.The dosage model showed a good linear relationship between the model volume and the tablet strength(r>0.999),which proved the potential of personalized administration.The surface roughness indicated that the appearance of the CJ-3DP tablets was significantly better than the first listed 3D printed drug(Spritam R).Moreover,the scanning electron microscopy and porosity results further showed that the tablets have a structure of loose interior and tight exterior,which could ensure good mechanical properties and rapid dispersion characteristics simultaneously.In conclusion,the innovative CJ-3DP technology can be used to fabricate personalized pediatric preparations for improved compliance.Due to the stable formulation and fabrication process,this technology has the potential in scale-up production.Zengming Wang Xiaolu Han Ruxin Chen Jingru Li Jing Gao Hui Zhang Nan Liu Xiang Gao Aiping Zheng 2021Asian Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences2021,16,3:2

17A new microfiltration membrane with three-dimensional reticular architecture for Nano-pollutants removal from wastewater显示文摘This research provides a new insight into designing next-generation filtration materials for Nano-pollutants removal from wastewater,and potentially for gas/solid or liquid/solid separation in corrosive environment.Considering the high corrosion and oxidation resistance,Ti-40Al-10Nb-10Cr porous alloy was prepared by powder metallurgy and used as a mechanical support with a pore size of around 10 pm.Subsequently,metallic Zn nanoparticles was coated on the Ti-40Al-10Nb-10Cr porous framework by means of chemical vapor deposition,obtaining a novel microfiltration membrane with three-dimensional reticular architecture.Furthermore,the influence of Zn coating on surface morphology,pore feature,and filtration capability of Ti-40AI-10Nb-10Cr porous alloy was investigated.It is of note that the as-prepared microfiltration membrane exhibits an excellent Nanopollutants filtration efficiency of greater than 99.989%from wastewater.Most importantly,such a three-dimensional reticular architecture provides excellent structural stability,allowing the reutilization of the microfiltration membrane for at least 200 filtration cycles of wastewater treatment.Wanyuan Gui Jingru Liu Xiping Song Hui Zhang Junpin Lin Benli Luan 2021Progress in Natural Science:Materials International2021,31,3:1
18MDP25 mediates the fine-tuning of microtubule organization in response to salt stress显示文摘Microtubules are dynamic cytoskeleton structures playing fundamental roles in plant responses to salt stress.The precise mechanisms by which microtubule organization is regulated under salt stress are largely unknown.Here,we report that Arabidopsis thaliana MICROTUBULE-DESTABILIZING PROTEIN 25(MDP25;also known as PLASMA MEMBRANEASSOCIATED CATION-BINDING PROTEIN 1(PCaP1))helps regulate microtubule organization.Under salt treatment,elevated cytosolic Ca^(2+) concentration caused MDP25 to partially dissociate from the plasma membrane,promoting microtubule depolymerization.When Ca^(2+) signaling was blocked by BAPTA-AM or LaCl_(3),microtubule depolymerization in wild-type and MDP25-overexpressing cells was slower,while there was no obvious change in mdp25 cells.Knockout of MDP25 improved microtubule reassembly and was conducive to microtubule integrity under long-term salt treatment and microtubule recovery after salt stress.Moreover,mdp25 seedlings exhibited a higher survival rate under salt stress.The presence microtubule-disrupting reagent oryzalin or microtubule-stabilizing reagent paclitaxel differentially affected the survival rates of different genotypes under salt stress.MDP25 promoted microtubule instability by affecting the catastrophe and rescue frequencies,shrinkage rate and time in pause phase at the microtubule plus-end and the depolymerization rate at the microtubule minus-end.These findings reveal a role for MDP25 in regulating microtubule organization under salt treatment by affecting microtubule dynamics.Peizhi Yang Jingwei Jin Jingru Zhang Dan Wang Xuechun Bai Wenfei Xie Tianming Hu Xuan Zhao Tonglin Mao Tao Qin 2022Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2022,64,6:1
