| 2 | Endogenous biosynthesis of docosahexaenoic acid(DHA)regulates fish oocyte maturation by promoting pregnenolone production显示文摘Omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids(n-3 PUFAs),particularly docosahexaenoic acid(22:6n-3,DHA),play crucial roles in the reproductive health of vertebrates,including humans.Nevertheless,the underlying mechanism related to this phenomenon remains largely unknown.In this study,we employed two zebrafish genetic models,i.e.,elovl2^(-/-)mutant as an endogenous DHAdeficient model and fat1(omega-3 desaturase encoding gene)transgenic zebrafish as an endogenous DHA-rich model,to investigate the effects of DHA on oocyte maturation and quality.Results show that the elovl2^(-/-)mutants had much lower fecundity and poorer oocyte quality than the wild-type controls,while the fat1 zebrafish had higher fecundity and better oocyte quality than wildtype controls.DHA deficiency in elovl2^(-/-)embryos led to defects in egg activation,poor microtubule stability,and reduced pregnenolone levels.Further study revealed that DHA promoted pregnenolone synthesis by enhancing transcription of cyp11a1,which encodes the cholesterol side-chain cleavage enzyme,thereby stabilizing microtubule assembly during oogenesis.In turn,the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal axis was enhanced by DHA.In conclusion,using two unique genetic models,our findings demonstrate that endogenously synthesized DHA promotes oocyte maturation and quality by promoting pregnenolone production via transcriptional regulation of cyp11a1. | Yi Li Xuehui Li Ding Ye Ru Zhang Chengjie Liu Mudan He Houpeng Wang Wei Hu Yonghua Sun | 2024 | Zoological Research2024,45,1: | 0 |

| 4 | Effect of ZrC Modified Graphite on Structure and Properties of Low-carbon Al_(2)O_(3)-C Refractories显示文摘To address the issues of reduced performance and shortened lifespan during the low-carbonizating process of Al_(2)O_(3)-C refractories,nano-crystalline ZrC modified graphite was prepared using Zr powder and flake graphite as raw materials,with NaCl and NaF mixed salt serving as the medium.The flake graphite was gradually replaced by ZrC modified graphite in the preparation of Al_(2)O_(3)-C refractories,and its impact on the material’s structure and properties was investigated.The results indicate that,compared to samples with only flake graphite,the introduction of 1 mass%to 5 mass%nano-crystalline ZrC modified graphite can significantly enhance the mechanical performance of low-carbon Al_(2)O_(3)-C refractories.When 5 mass%ZrC modified graphite is added,the mechanical properties of the samples are optimal,with the cold modulus of rupture and elastic modulus reaching 22.5 MPa and 65.0 GPa,respectively. | HU Chen WANG Xing LIU Zhenglong DING Jun YU Chao DENG Chengji | 2024 | China's Refractories2024,33,1: | 0 |
| 5 | Self-Assembly of Constrained Cyclic Peptides Controlled by Ring Size显示文摘The de novo design of new peptide assemblies that expands the repertoire of biomaterial nanostructures has been of a tremendous challenge.Hence,it is evident that a successful research achievement in this area would increase the understanding of molecular interactions in supramolecules and create novel scaffolds exploitable in biotechnology and synthetic biology.The manipulation of cyclic peptide self-assembly is particularly intriguing for this purpose.Herein,we report that a novel type of cyclic peptides,referred to as chiral tether constrained cyclic peptides(CCP),shows promising self-assembly properties.CCPs are the first example of a controllable assembly of all-L-α-cyclic peptides with different ring sizes.A noteworthy feature of the CCP system is good tolerance of different secondary structures,ring size,and peptide sequence.Based on this system,a variety of nanostructures could be constructed,which display different physical properties,rendering it an excellent platform for molecular interaction studies.Further,demonstrate potential applications of these peptide assemblies in bioimaging and energy storage. | Kuan Hu Wei Xiong Chengjie Sun Chan Wang Jingxu Li Feng Yin Yixiang Jiang Ming-Rong Zhang Zhou Li Xinwei Wang Zigang Li | 2020 | CCS Chemistry2020,2,1: | 0 |
| 6 | Fracture behaviors of columnar jointed rock mass using interface mechanics theorem显示文摘For a special geological structure of columnar jointed rock mass(CJRM),its mechanical properties are strongly affected by the columnar joints.To describe the fracture behaviors of CJRM using the basic theories of interface mechanics for composite materials,the interface stresses of the vertical and horizontal joints,which are the two primary joints in the CJRM under triaxial compression,are studied,and their mathematical expressions are derived based on the superposition principle.Based on the obtained interface stresses of the vertical and horizontal joints in the CJRM,the crack initiation of the joint interface in the CJRM is studied using the maximum circumferential stress theory in fracture mechanics.Moreover,based on this investigation,the fracture behaviors of CJRM are analyzed.According to the results of similar material physical model tests for the CJRM,the theoretical study is verified.Finally,the influence of the mechanical parameters of the CJRM on the joint interface stress is discussed comprehensively. | Wei Gao Shuangshuang Ge Chengjie Hu | 2023 | Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering2023,15,11: | 0 |
