1Correlation analysis between the chemical contents and bioactivity for the quality control of Alismatis Rhizoma显示文摘In order to clarify regions of production and to discriminate processing methods, quantitative and qualitative analyses for saccharides and terpenes in 35 batches of Alismatis Rhizoma were performed.Methodologies included HPLC–PDA, HPLC–VWD and UHPLC–MSn, combined with principal component analysis(PCA) and partial least squares regression techniques(PLSR). The inhibitory effects of triterpenes and Alismatis Rhizoma extracts on lipase activity were evaluated in vitro. PLSR analysis revealed significant positive correlations(R2= 0.5795) between the contents of triterpenes 10, 14, 15, 18 and 22 and the inhibitory effects of Alismatis Rhizoma. The present study establishes an effective method for simultaneous determination of multiple components, and identifies key bioactive triterpenes. 9Cyclohexanedodecol-Assisted Interfacial Engineering for Robust and High-Performance Zinc Metal Anode显示文摘Aqueous zinc-ion batteries(AZIBs)can be one of the most promising electrochemical energy storage devices for being non-flammable,low-cost,and sustainable.However,the challenges of AZIBs,including dendrite growth,hydrogen evolution,corrosion,and passivation of zinc anode during charging and discharging processes,must be overcome to achieve high cycling performance and stability in practical applications.In this work,we utilize a dual-func-tional organic additive cyclohexanedodecol(CHD)to firstly establish[Zn(H2O)5(CHD)]2+complex ion in an aqueous Zn electrolyte and secondly build a robust protection layer on the Zn surface to overcome these dilemmas.Systematic experiments and theoretical calculations are carried out to interpret the working mechanism of CHD.At a very low concentration of 0.1 mg mL^(−1) CHD,long-term reversible Zn plating/stripping could be achieved up to 2200 h at 2 mA cm^(−2),1000 h at 5 mA cm^(−2),and 650 h at 10 mA cm^(−2) at the fixed capacity of 1 mAh cm^(−2).When matched with V_(2)O_(5) cathode,the resultant AZIBs full cell with the CHD-modified electrolyte presents a high capacity of 175 mAh g^(−1) with the capacity retention of 92%after 2000 cycles under 2 A g^(−1).Such a performance could enable the commercialization of AZIBs for applications in grid energy storage and industrial energy storage.Zhenzhen Wu Meng Li Yuhui Tian Hao Chen Shao-Jian Zhang Chuang Sun Chengpeng Li Milton Kiefel Chao Lai Zhan Lin Shanqing Zhang 2022Nano-Micro Letters2022,14,7:1
10Application of Hausdorff fractal derivative to the determination of the vertical sediment concentration distribution显示文摘The Rouse formula and its variants have been widely used to calculate the steady-state vertical concentration distribution for suspended sediment in steady sediment-laden flows,where the diffusive flux is assumed to be Fickian.Turbulent flow,however,exhibits fractal properties,leading to non-Fickian diffusive flux for sediment particles.To characterize non-Fickian dynamics of suspended sediment,the current study proposes a Hausdorff fractal derivative based advection-dispersion equation(HADE)model,where the Fickian diffusive flux in the Rouse model is replaced by a fractal derivative re-scaled using a constant diffusivity.The order of the Hausdorff fractal derivative is designed to characterize the influence of the multi-fractal turbulence structure on sediment diffusion.Applications show that the HADE model,with the analytical solution expressed using a stretched exponential function,can accurately describe the observed vertical concentration profiles for suspended sediment with different sizes.This improvement well captures the non-exponential decay of the vertical sediment concentration in turbulent flow.Further analyses of measured sediment concentration profiles reveal that the Hausdorff fractal order decreases with the Rouse parameter,which describes the stronger impact of turbulent flow and a more uniform sediment concentration profile for smaller particles.Model comparisons also show that the HADE model provides better performance in describing the sediment concentration profiles than the improved Rouse formula and the standard fractional derivative advection-dispersion equation(FADE),which either under-or over-estimates vertical displacement of sediment particles,likely due to coherent turbulent structures.Hongguang Sun Shiqian Nie Aaron I.Packman Yong Zhang Dong Chen Chengpeng Lu Chunmiao Zheng 2023International Journal of Sediment Research2023,38,1:0
11Changes of Essential Substance Contents in Exorista civilis Rondani during Diapause Stage显示文摘[Objective] The paper was to investigate the major cold-resistant materials and their content variation in the diapause process of Exorista civilis Rondani. [Method] The total carbohydrate,protein and glycerin of E. civilis Rondani in the diapause process were examined. [Result] The glycogen content in diapause stage was higher than that in non-diapause stage,and the difference was significant; the glycogen contents in pupal stage reached the maximum values of 156.73 and 68. 32 μg/mg,respectively. The protein content was higher in non-diapause stage of E. civilis Rondani before entering diapause stage,and reached the maximum value of 78. 34 μg/mg in the pupal stage; while the maximum value in non-diapause stage was 72. 95 μg/mg. The glycerin content of adults in non-diapause and diapause stage was very low; the glycerin concentration in diapause stage was higher than that in non-diapause stage throughout the whole development stage except the pupal stage,and the difference was significant. 12Developmental Threshold Temperature and Effective Accumulated Temperature of Lysiphlebus testaceipes Cresson显示文摘[Objective]The paper was to study the occurrence regularity of Lysiphlebus testaceipes Cresson. [Method]With Aphis craccivora Koch as the breeding host,developmental duration,development threshold temperature and effective accumulative temperature of L. testaceipes Cresson were studied at six constant temperatures of 12,16,20,24,28 and 32℃ in the laboratory,respectively. [Result]The developmental durations of each growth stage of L. testaceipes Cresson were shortened with the increasing temperature ranged from 12 to 32℃,and the growth rate was significantly accelerated with the increasing temperature. However,when the temperature was up to 32℃,the growth and development from mummy to adult was suppressed,and the developmental duration was extended for 0. 45 d than that at 28℃. The developmental durations from egg to adult at 12,16,20,24,28 and 32℃ were 38. 50,21. 25,14. 11,12. 17,10. 28 and 9. 01 d,respectively.The developmental threshold temperatures of egg-mummy,mummy-adult and egg-adult were estimated to be 6. 5,6. 25 and 5. 36℃,respectively; and the effective accumulated temperatures were 136. 28,75. 74 and 227. 23 d·℃,respectively. 13Cattle manure biochar and earthworm interactively affected CO_(2)and N_(2)O emissions in agricultural and forest soils:Observation of a distinct difference显示文摘The application of manure-derived biochar offers an alternative to avoid the direct application of manure to soil causing greenhouse gas emission.Soil fauna,especially earthworms,can markedly stimulate carbon dioxide(CO_(2))and nitrous oxide(N_(2)O)emissions from soil.This study therefore investigated the effect of cattle manure biochar(added at rates of 0,2%,or 10%,coded as BC0,BC2 and BC10,respectively)application,with or without earthworm Aporrectodea turgida,on emissions of CO_(2) and N_(2)O and changes of physic-chemical properties of agricultural and forest soils in a laboratory incubation experiment.The BC10 treatment significantly enhanced cumulative CO_(2) emissions by 27.9%relative to the untreated control in the agricultural soil.On the contrary,the BC2 and BC10 treatments significantly reduced cumulative CO_(2) emissions by 16.3%–61.1%and N_(2)O emissions by 92.9%–95.1%compared to the untreated control in the forest soil.The addition of earthworm alone significantly enhanced the cumulative CO_(2) and N_(2)O fluxes in agricultural and forest soils.Cumulative CO_(2) and N_(2)O fluxes were significantly increased when BC2 and BC10 were applied with earthworm in the agricultural soil,but were significantly reduced when BC10 was applied with earthworm in the forest soil.Our study demonstrated that biochar application interacted with earthworm to affect CO_(2) and N_(2)O emissions,which were also dependent on the soil type involved.Our study suggests that manure biochar application rate and use of earthworm need to be carefully studied for specific soil types to maximize the climate change mitigation potential of such management practices.Xiaoqiang Gong Jinbiao Li Scott X.Chang Qian Wu Zhengfeng An Chengpeng Huang Xiangyang Sun Suyan Li Hui Wang 2022Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2022,16,3:0
14Mechanical Properties of Nano-CaCO_(3) and Basalt Fiber Reinforced Concrete:Experiments and Numerical Simulations显示文摘In this study,the compressive,split tensile,and flexural strengths of concrete with nano-CaCO_(3) only were compared with those of concrete with nano-CaCO_(3) and basalt fibers through field experiments,and the underlying mechanisms were analyzed by the Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) techniques.On the mesoscale,a damage model of concrete was established based on the continuum progressive damage theory,which was used to investigate the influence of different lengths and contents of fibers on the mechanical properties of concrete.Then,the experimental and numerical simulation results were compared and analyzed to verify the feasibility of model.The results show that nano-CaCO_(3) can enhance the compressive strength of the concrete,with an optimal content of 2.0%.Adding basalt fibers into the nano-CaCO_(3) reinforced concrete may further enhance the compressive,split tensile,and flexural strengths of the concrete;however,the higher content of basalt fiber can not lead to higher performance of concrete.The optimal length and content of fiber are 6 mm and 0.20%,respectively.The SEM result shows that the aggregation of basalt fibers is detrimental to the mechanical properties of concrete.The numerical simulation results are in good agreement with the experimental results.刁目爽 任倩慧 SUN Xinjian ZHAO Yawei WEI Chengpeng 2022Journal of Wuhan University of Technology(Materials Science)2022,37,5:0
