2Damage characteristics and constitutive modeling of the 2D C/Si C composite: Part I – Experiment and analysis显示文摘This paper reports an experimental investigation on the macroscopic mechanical behaviors and damage mechanisms of the plain-woven(2D) C/Si C composite under in-plane on- and offaxis loading conditions. Specimens with 15, 30, and 45 off-axis angles were prepared and tested under monotonic and incremental cyclic tension and compression loads. The obtained results were compared with those of uniaxial tension, compression, and shear specimens. The relationships between the damage modes and the stress state were analyzed based on scanning electronic microscopy(SEM) observations and acoustic emission(AE) data. The test results reveal the remarkable axial anisotropy and unilateral behavior of the material. The off-axis tension test results show that the material is fiber-dominant and the evolution rate of damage and inelastic strain is accelerated under the corresponding combined biaxial tension and shear loads. Due to the damage impediment effect of compression stress, compression specimens show higher mechanical properties and lower damage evolution rates than tension specimens with the same off-axis angle. 3Damage characteristics and constitutive modeling of the 2D C/SiC composite: Part Ⅱ–Material model and numerical implementation显示文摘In this work, a macroscopic non-linear constitutive model accounting for damage, inelastic strain and unilateral behavior is proposed for the 2D plain-woven C/Si C composite. A set of scalar damage variables and a new thermodynamic potential expression are introduced in the framework of continuum damage mechanics. In the deduced constitutive equations, the material's progressive damage deactivation behavior during the compression loading is described by a continuous function, and different deactivation rates under uniaxial and biaxial compression loadings are also considered. In damage evolution laws, the coupling effect among the damage modes and impediment effect of compression stress on the development of shear damage in different plane stress states are taken into account. Besides, the general plasticity theory is applied to describing the evolution of inelastic strain in tension and/or shear stress state. The Tsai–Wu failure criterion is adopted for strength analysis. 4The response of deltaic systems to climatic and hydrological changes in Daihai Lake rift basin,Inner Mongolia,northern China显示文摘Delta systems are ubiquitous around lacustrine rift basins. Its peripheral ge-ometry, progradation structures and sedimentary successions were controlled by both tec-tonic settings and climatic changes. Peripheral geometry of a delta was strongly influenced by depositional gradients which formed the fan-shape delta on the steep slopes and developed the lobe-shape delta on the gentle slopes. Due to the discharge feed rivers can change rapidly driven by climatic variations, and the nearshore area of deltas display considerable facies variability. The rise of annual rainfall, which suggests the rivers feeding deltas are continuous, and result in distributary mouth bars that are prevalent in the front of deltas since the down-slope flows are greater than the along-slope currents. On the contrary, when the annual rainfall decreases and evaporation increases, the rivers only can feed deltas ephemerally. If the along-slope currents were in a dominant position, the distal bars were deposited. Progra-dation structure and sedimentary successions of deltas were controlled by the gradients of slopes. 5Determination of polarization states in(K,Na)NbO3 lead-free piezoelectric crystal显示文摘Polarization switching in lead-free(K0.40Na0.60)NbO3(KNN)single crystals was studied by switching spectroscopy piezoresponse force microscopy(SS-PFM).Acquisition of multiple hysteresis loops on a closely spaced square grid enables polarization switching parameters to be mapped in real space.Piezoresponse amplitude and phase hysteresis loops show collective symmetric/asymmetric characteristics,affording information regarding the switching behavior of different domains.As such,the out-of-plane polarization states of the domains,including amplitudes and phases can be determined.Our results could contribute to a further understanding of the relationships between polarization switching and polarization vectors at the nanoscale,and provide a feasible method to correlate the polarization hysteresis loops in a domain under an electric field with the polarization vector states.Mao-Hua ZHANG Chengpeng HU Zhen ZHOU Hao TIAN Hao-Cheng THONG Yi Xuan LIU Xing-Yu XU Xiao-Qing XI Jing-Feng LI Ke WANG 2020Journal of Advanced Ceramics2020,9,2:4
6Review on modified and novel techniques of severe plastic deformation显示文摘This review highlights very recent achievements and new developments of severe plastic deformation(SPD) technology for producing bulk ultrafine-grain(UFG) and even nanocrystalline(nc) materials.These numerous modified and novel SPD methods include cyclic forward-backward extrusion,axi-symmetric forward spiral extrusion,vortex extrusion,simple shear extrusion,planar twist extrusion,tubular channel angular pressing,cone-cone method,high-pressure tube twisting,tube channel pressing and elliptical cross-section spiral equal-channel extrusion.According to classification,these new methods are categorized into the extension of equal-channel angle pressing(ECAP),high-pressure torsion(HPT),twist extrusion(TE) and constrained groove pressing(CGP),respectively.The principles of various new SPD technologies are described in detail.In addition,the microstructure revolution characteristics and mechanical properties of materials produced by SPD process,as well as the applications of SPD techniques to UFG materials,are also reported.Furthermore,this article reviews recent progresses in determining the refinement and/or deformation mechanisms,e.g.dislocation deformation mechanism,twin deformation mechanism and grain boundary sliding and torsional deformation mechanism,and further orientation of SPD technology.WANG ChengPeng LI FuGuo WANG Lei QIAO HuiJuan 2012Science China(Technological Sciences)2012,55,9:4
7Structural modulation of Cd(Ⅱ) supramolecular frameworks with a versatile 2,4-dipyridyl-type building block and different dicarboxylate ligands显示文摘A series of Cd(Ⅱ) coordination complexes with an elongated 2,4-dipyridyl-type building block trans-1-(2-pyridyl)-2-(4-pyridyl)ethylene (bpe) and different dicarboxylate ligands have been presented. Generally, bpe shows the unidentate coordination mode and serves as the terminal pendant, whereas the dicarboxylate ligands display various binding fashions to interlink the metal centers to form 1-D comb-like chain, ribbon, and fishbone arrays, as well as 2-D 44 and 4.82 layered networks. Notably, the bpe building block is also involved in secondary interactions such as hydrogen bonding and aromatic stacking to construct the resulting supramolecular architectures. 8Optimization of structural parameters for elliptical cross-section spiral equal-channel extrusion dies based on grey theory显示文摘The elliptical cross-section spiral equal-channel extrusion (ECSEE) process is simulated by using Deform-3D finite element software. The ratio m of major-axis to minor-axis length for ellipse-cross-section, the torsion angle u, the round-ellipse cross-section transitional channel L1, the elliptical rotation cross-section transitional channel L2 and the ellipse-round cross-section transitional channel L3 are destined for the extrusion process parameters. The average effective strain eave on cross-section of blank, the deformation uniformity coefficient a and the value of maximum damage dmax are chosen to be the optimize indexes, and the virtual orthogonal experiment of L16 (45) is designed. The correlation degree of the process factors affecting eave, a and dmax is analyzed by the numerical simulation results using the weights and grey association model. The process parameters are optimized by introducing the grey situation decision theory and the ECSEE optimal combination of process parameters is obtained: u of 120 , m of 1.55, L1 of 7 mm, L2 of 10 mm, and L3 of 10 mm. Simulation and experimental results show that the material can be refined with the optimized structural parameters of die. 9An efficient CRISPR/Cas9 platform for targeted genome editing in rose(Rosa hybrida)显示文摘The clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeats(CRISPR)/CRISPR-related nuclease 9(Cas9)system enables precise,simple editing of genes in many animals and plants.However,this system has not been applied to rose(Rosa hybrida)due to the genomic complexity and lack of an efficient transformation technology for this plant.Here,we established a platform for screening single-guide RNAs(sgRNAs)with high editing efficiency for CRISPR/Cas9-mediated gene editing in rose using suspension cells.We used the Arabidopsis thaliana U6-29 promoter,which showed high activity for driving sgRNA expression,to modify the CRISPR/Cas9 system.We used our highly efficient optimized CRISPR/Cas9 system to successfully edit RhEIN2,encoding an indispensable component of the ethylene signaling pathway,resulting in ethylene insensitivity in rose.Our optimized CRISPR/Cas9 system provides a powerful toolbox for functional genomics,molecular breeding,and synthetic biology in rose.Chengpeng Wang Yang Li Na Wang Qin Yu Yonghong Li Junping Gao Xiaofeng Zhou Nan Ma 2023Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2023,65,4:1
10Introduction of porous structure:A feasible and promising method for improving thermoelectric performance of Bi_2Te_3 based bulks显示文摘The porous p-type Bi_(0.4)Sb_(1.6)Te_3 bulks containing irregularly and randomly oriented pores were obtained by artificially controlling the relative density of sintered samples during resistance pressing sintering process. It is demonstrated that the thermoelectric performances are significantly affected by the porous structure, especially for the electrical and thermal conductivity due to the enhanced carrier scattering and phonon scattering. The increasing porosity resulted in the obvious decrease in electrical and thermal conductivity, and little change in Seebeck coefficients. It is encouraging that the reduction of thermal conductivity can compensate for the deterioration of electrical performance, leading to the enhancement in thermoelectric figure of merit(ZT). The maximum ZT value of 1.0 was obtained for the sample with a relative density of 90% at 333 K. Unfortunately, the increase in porosity also brought in obvious degradations in Vickers hardness from 51.71 to 27.74 HV. It is worth mentioning that although the Vickers hardness of the sample with a relative density of 90% decreased to 40.12 HV, it was still about twice as high as that of the zone melting sample(21.25 HV). 12Unsymmetrical photochromic bithienylethene-bridge tetraphenylethene molecular switches:Synthesis,aggregation-induced emission and information storage显示文摘Aggregation-induced emission(AIE) active photochromic molecules have attracted growing attention for their versatile applications.Here we designed and synthesized five newly unsymmetrical photochromic diarylethene(DAE) dyads(BTE1-5) by connecting tetraphenylethene(TPE) and aromatic substituent via bithienylethene(BTE) bridge.The chemical structures of those compounds were identified by ^1H NMR,^(13)C NMR and HRMS.The absorption and emission of these dyads were investigated by UV-vis and fluore scence spectroscopy,respectively.The results showed that all those compounds exhibited typically AIE or aggregation-induced emission enhancement(AIEE) characteristic.Particularly,when an aggregationcaused quenching(ACQ) fluorophore(triphenylamine) was grafted to the molecule,connecting with TPE via BTE-bridge,the ACQ phenomenon was dissipated and converted to an AIE luminophore,and those compounds exhibited photochromism upon irradiation with alternative UV and visible light.The solution or solid of those compounds showed distinctly fluorescence switching 'ON' or 'OFF' observation upon irradiation with alternative UV and visible light.It is interesting that BTE1 could be applied in recording and rewritable information storage,and the cyclization quantum yields could be affected by substituent significantly.Liangwei Ma Chengpeng Li Qing Yan Sheng Wang Wangen Miao Derong Cao 2020Chinese Chemical Letters2020,31,2:1

14Photo-induced morphology transition of a multifunctional photochromic bisthienylethene molecule with switchable aggregation-induced emission显示文摘A novel multifunctional molecule BTE-CNPH was designed and synthesized by connecting 2-(3′,5′-bis(trifluoromethyl)-biphenyl-4-yl)-2-cyanovinyl group to both side of the bisthienylethene(BTE), which exhibited excellent aggregation-induced emission(AIE) and bistable photochromism. High-contrast(>60) reversible fluorescence switching was achieved in the 1 D nanowires, solid of BTE-CNPH and also in a polymethyl methacrylate(PMMA) film loaded with 1% BTE-CNPH under the alternative irradiation by 365 nm and visible light. 15Evolution model of a modern delta fed by a seasonal river in Daihai Lake,North China:determined from groundpenetrating radar and trenches显示文摘While deltas fed by seasonal rivers are common in modem sedimentary environments,their characteristics remain unclear as compared to those fed by perennial rivers.This study identifies a small delta discharged by a seasonal stream flowing into Daihai Lake,in northern China,which is driven by ephemeral and high-energy flood events.Detailed 3D facies architecture was analyzed using ground-penetrating radar (GPR) and sedimentary logs from outcrop and trenches.Four types of radar surfaces,including truncations of underlying inclined strata,weak reflections,and depositional surface of downlap and onlap,were identified.Six radar facies (highangle obliquetangential,low-angle subparallel,gently plane parallel,plane-parallel,chaotic,and continuous strong reflection) were identified based on distinctive reflections,including amplitude,continuity,dip,and termination patterns.Five depositional units (Unit A to E) were documented from proximal to distal delta.Seasonal discharge signatures include significant grain-size decrease over short distance,abundant Froude supercritical flow sedimentary structures,poorly developed barforms,and small-scale scour and fill structures.Records of lake-level and sediment budget were evaluated over the past 60 years.In highstand stage (1960- 1980),amalgamated channel (Units A and B),and delta front (Unit C) were deposited.In slope stage (1980-1996),the lower deposits (Units A,B,C) were eroded by Unit D with a distinct truncation surface.In lowstand stage,most eroded sediments bypassed the incised channel and accumulated in the distal part,in which a new depositional unit was formed (Unit E).The model demonstrates that deltas fed by seasonal rivers tend to accumulate large amounts of sediments carried by high magnitude floods within short periods.Beibei LIU Chengpeng TAN Xinghe YU Xin SHAN Shunli LI 2019Frontiers of Earth Science2019,13,2:1

19Cyclohexanedodecol-Assisted Interfacial Engineering for Robust and High-Performance Zinc Metal Anode显示文摘Aqueous zinc-ion batteries(AZIBs)can be one of the most promising electrochemical energy storage devices for being non-flammable,low-cost,and sustainable.However,the challenges of AZIBs,including dendrite growth,hydrogen evolution,corrosion,and passivation of zinc anode during charging and discharging processes,must be overcome to achieve high cycling performance and stability in practical applications.In this work,we utilize a dual-func-tional organic additive cyclohexanedodecol(CHD)to firstly establish[Zn(H2O)5(CHD)]2+complex ion in an aqueous Zn electrolyte and secondly build a robust protection layer on the Zn surface to overcome these dilemmas.Systematic experiments and theoretical calculations are carried out to interpret the working mechanism of CHD.At a very low concentration of 0.1 mg mL^(−1) CHD,long-term reversible Zn plating/stripping could be achieved up to 2200 h at 2 mA cm^(−2),1000 h at 5 mA cm^(−2),and 650 h at 10 mA cm^(−2) at the fixed capacity of 1 mAh cm^(−2).When matched with V_(2)O_(5) cathode,the resultant AZIBs full cell with the CHD-modified electrolyte presents a high capacity of 175 mAh g^(−1) with the capacity retention of 92%after 2000 cycles under 2 A g^(−1).Such a performance could enable the commercialization of AZIBs for applications in grid energy storage and industrial energy storage.Zhenzhen Wu Meng Li Yuhui Tian Hao Chen Shao-Jian Zhang Chuang Sun Chengpeng Li Milton Kiefel Chao Lai Zhan Lin Shanqing Zhang 2022Nano-Micro Letters2022,14,7:1
20Changes of Essential Substance Contents in Exorista civilis Rondani during Diapause Stage显示文摘[Objective] The paper was to investigate the major cold-resistant materials and their content variation in the diapause process of Exorista civilis Rondani. [Method] The total carbohydrate,protein and glycerin of E. civilis Rondani in the diapause process were examined. [Result] The glycogen content in diapause stage was higher than that in non-diapause stage,and the difference was significant; the glycogen contents in pupal stage reached the maximum values of 156.73 and 68. 32 μg/mg,respectively. The protein content was higher in non-diapause stage of E. civilis Rondani before entering diapause stage,and reached the maximum value of 78. 34 μg/mg in the pupal stage; while the maximum value in non-diapause stage was 72. 95 μg/mg. The glycerin content of adults in non-diapause and diapause stage was very low; the glycerin concentration in diapause stage was higher than that in non-diapause stage throughout the whole development stage except the pupal stage,and the difference was significant.
