Effects of silica nanoparticles on growth and photosynthetic pigment contents of Scenedesmus obliquus显示文摘To assess the aquatic ecosystem safety for silica (SiO2) nanoparticles (NPs), the growth inhibition and photosynthetic pigment contents of Scenedesmus obliquus in logarithm growth phase exposed to SiO2 NPs and SiO2 bulk particles (BPs) suspensions were measured. SiO2 NPs with 10-20 nm diameters were found to be toxic. The 20% effective concentration (EC20) values for 72 and 96 hr were 388.1 and 216.5 mg/L, respectively. The contents of chlorophyll decreased significantly under moderate and high concentration (50, 100, and 200 mg/L) of SiO2 NPs after 96-hr exposure, but the carotenoids did not. SiO2 BPs were found to be nontoxic up to 200 mg/L. The toxicity of SiO2 NPs probablely due to their sorption to algal cells surface. The results imply that there is potential harm to aquatic environment by using SiO2 NPs, and it should deserve special concern. | Chenxi Wei, Yanbo Zhang, Jing Guo, Bing Han, Xu Yang, Junlin Yuan Hubei Key Laboratory of Genetic Regulation and Integrative Biology, College of Life Sciences, Huazhong Normal University, Wuhan 430079, China. | 2010 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2010,22,1: | 14
Precipitation and hot deformation behavior of austenitic heat-resistant steels: A review显示文摘The austenitic heat resistant-steels have been considered as important candidate materials for advanced supercritical boilers, nuclear reactors, super heaters and chemical reactors, due to their favorable combination of high strength, corrosion resistance, perfect mechanical properties, workability and low cost.Since the precipitation behavior of the steels during long-term service at elevated temperature would lead to the deterioration of mechanical properties, it is essential to clarify the evolution of secondary phases in the microstructure of the steels. Here, a summary of recent progress in the precipitation behavior and the coarsening mechanism of various precipitates during aging in austenitic steels is made. Various secondary phases are formed under service conditions, like MX carbonitrides, M_(23)C_6 carbides, Z phase, sigma phase and Laves phase. It is found that the coarsening rate of M_(23)C_6 carbides is much higher than that of MX carbonitrides. In order to understand the thermal deformation mechanism, a constitutive equation can be established, and thus obtained processing maps are beneficial to optimizing thermal processing parameters, leading to improved thermal processing properties of steels. | Yinghui Zhou Yongchang Liu Xiaosheng Zhou Chenxi Liu Jianxin Yu Yuan Huang Huijun Li Wenya Li | 2017 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2017,33,12: | 12
Monitoring somatosensory evoked potentials in spinal cord ischemia-reperfusion injury显示文摘It remains unclear whether spinal cord ischemia-reperfusion injury caused by ischemia and other non-mechanical factors can be monitored by somatosensory evoked potentials. Therefore,we monitored spinal cord ischemia-reperfusion injury in rabbits using somatosensory evoked potential detection technology. The results showed that the somatosensory evoked potential latency was significantly prolonged and the amplitude significantly reduced until it disappeared during the period of spinal cord ischemia. After reperfusion for 30–180 minutes, the amplitude and latency began to gradually recover;at 360 minutes of reperfusion, the latency showed no significant difference compared with the pre-ischemic value, while the somatosensory evoked potential amplitude increased, and severe hindlimb motor dysfunctions were detected.Experimental findings suggest that changes in somatosensory evoked potential latency can reflect the degree of spinal cord ischemic injury, while the amplitude variations are indicators of the late spinal cord reperfusion injury, which provide evidence for the assessment of limb motor function and avoid iatrogenic spinal cord injury. | Yiming Ji Bin Meng Chenxi Yuan Huilin Yang Jun Zou | 2013 | Neural Regeneration Research2013,8,33: | 5
Microstructure evolution and mechanical properties of linear friction welded S31042 heat-resistant steel显示文摘S31042 heat-resistant steel was joined by linear friction welding(LFW) in this study. The microstructure and the mechanical properties of the LFWed joint were investigated by optical microscopy, scanning electronic microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, hardness test and tensile test. A defect-free joint was achieved by using LFW under reasonable welding parameters. The dynamic recrystallization of austenitic grains and the dispersed precipitation of NbCrN particles resulting from the high stress and high temperature in welding, would lead to a improvement of mechanical property of the welded joint. With increasing the distance from the weld zone to the parent metal, the austenitic grain size gradually increases from ~1μm to ~150μm, and the microhardness decreases from 301 HV to 225 HV. The tensile strength(about 731 MPa) of the welded joint is comparable to that of the S31042 in the solution-treated state. | Yanmo Li Yongchang Liu Chenxi Liu Chong Li Zongqing Ma Yuan Huang Zumin Wang Wenya Li | 2018 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2018,34,4: | 5
Deubiquitinase JOSD2 stabilizes YAP/TAZ to promote cholangiocarcinoma progression显示文摘Cholangiocarcinoma(CCA)has emerged as an intractable cancer with scanty therapeutic regimens. The aberrant activation of Yes-associated protein(YAP)and transcriptional co-activator with PDZ-binding motif(TAZ)are reported to be common in CCA patients. However, the underpinning mechanism remains poorly understood.Deubiquitinase(DUB)is regarded as a main orchestrator in maintaining protein homeostasis. Here,we identified Josephin domain-containing protein 2(JOSD2)as an essential DUB of YAP/TAZ that sustained the protein level through cleavage of polyubiquitin chains in a deubiquitinase activity-dependent manner. The depletion of JOSD2 promoted YAP/TAZ proteasomal degradation and significantly impeded CCA proliferation in vitro and in vivo.Further analysis has highlighted the positive correlation between JOSD2 and YAP abundance in CCA patient samples.Collectively, this study uncovers the regulatory effects of JOSD2 on YAP/TAZ protein stabilities and profiles its contribution in CCA malignant progression, which may provide a potential intervention target for YAP/TAZ-related CCA patients. | Meijia Qian Fangjie Yan Weihua Wang Jiamin Du Tao Yuan Ruilin Wu Chenxi Zhao Jiao Wang Jiabin Lu Bo Zhang Nengming Lin Xin Dong Xiaoyang Dai Xiaowu Dong Bo Yang Hong Zhu Qiaojun He | 2021 | Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2021,11,12: | 5
Improved Adaptive Iterated Extended Kalman Filter for GNSS/INS/UWB-Integrated Fixed-Point Positioning显示文摘To provide stable and accurate position information of control points in a complex coastal environment,an adaptive iterated extended Kalman filter(AIEKF)for fixed-point positioning integrating global navigation satellite system, inertial navigation system, and ultra wide band(UWB)is proposed. In thismethod, the switched global navigation satellite system(GNSS)and UWB measurement are used as the measurement of the proposed filter. For the data fusion filter, the expectation-maximization(EM)based IEKF is used as the forward filter, then, the Rauch-Tung-Striebel smoother for IEKF filter’s result smoothing.Tests illustrate that the proposed AIEKF is able to provide an accurate estimation. | Qingdong Wu Chenxi Li Tao Shen Yuan Xu | 2023 | Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences2023,,3: | 2
Simultaneously improving the EMI shielding performances and mechanical properties of CF/PEKK composites via MXene interfacial modification显示文摘In this study, two-dimensional MXene (Ti3 C2 Tx ) was employed to modify the interface of carbon fiber-reinforced polyetherketoneketone (CF/PEKK) composites, in order to simultaneously improve the electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding performances and mechanical properties. The obtained CF/PEKK composites possessed outstanding EMI and mechanical performances, as anticipated. Specifically, the CF/PEKK composites modified with MXene at 1 mg mL–1 exhibited an excellent EMI shielding effectiveness of 65.2 dB in the X-band, a 103.1% enhancement compared with the unmodified CF/PEKK composites. The attractive EMI shielding performances of CF/PEKK composites originated from enhanced ohmic losses and multiple reflections of electromagnetic waves with the help of the MXene and CF layers. In addition, CF/PEKK composites achieved the best mechanical properties by optimizing the dispersion concentration of MXene to 0.1 mg mL–1 . The flexural strength, flexural modulus, and interlaminar shear strength of CF/PEKK composites reached 1127 MPa, 81 GPa, and 89 MPa, which were 28.5%, 9.5%, and 29.7% higher than that of the unmodified CF/PEKK composites, respectively. Such improvement in mechanical properties could be ascribed to the comprehensive effect of mechanical interlocking, hydrogen bonds, and Van der Waals forces between the introduced MXene and CF, PEKK, respectively. | Xueqin Yang Jiamei Luo Hongliang Ren Yi Xue Chenxi Yang Ting Yuan Zehao Yang Yong Liu Hui Zhang Jianyong Yu | 2023 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2023,,23: | 1
Joint Resource Allocation and Admission Control in Sliced Fog Radio Access Networks显示文摘Network slicing based fog radio access network(F-RAN) has emerged as a promising architecture to support various novel applications in 5 G-and-beyond wireless networks. However, the co-existence of multiple network slices in F-RANs may lead to significant performance degradation due to the resource competitions among different network slices. In this paper, the downlink F-RANs with a hotspot slice and an Internet of Things(Io T) slice are considered, in which the user equipments(UEs) of different slices share the same spectrum. A novel joint resource allocation and admission control scheme is developed to maximize the number of UEs in the hotspot slice that can be supported with desired quality-of-service, while satisfying the interference constraint of the UEs in the Io T slice. Specifically, the admission control and beamforming vector optimization are performed in the hotspot slice to maximize the number of admitted UEs, while the joint sub-channel and power allocation is performed in the Io T slice to maximize the capability of the UEs in the Io T slice tolerating the interference from the hotspot slice. Numerical results show that our proposed scheme can effectively boost the number of UEs in the hotspot slice compared to the existing baselines. | Yuan Ai Gang Qiu Chenxi Liu Yaohua Sun | 2020 | China Communications2020,17,8: | 1

Microstructure of AISI 304 stainless steel strips produced by a twin-roll caster显示文摘By optical inspection of macro-etched metallography and electron back-scattered diffraction (EBSD) mapping, this paper analyzed the microstructure of austenitic stainless steel strips produced with an equal-diameter twin-roll strip caster. The results in-dicate that the microstructure of the strips includes two columnar zones with highly compact dendrites and one equiaxed zone. The characteristics, such as grain size and growing direction of columnar grains and equiaxed grains, were investigated. An additional transitional area with many finer grains between the columnar zone and the equiaxed zone was found. As shown in EBSD analysis, small angle boundaries exist both in the columnar zone and the equiaxed zone, although they are especially more in the transitional area. Additionally, some <111> twin boundaries were found in the microstructure of the strips. | Chenxi Ji Jiongmmg Zhang Fuxiang Huang Xinhua Wang Yuan Fang Yan Yu | 2008 | Journal of University of Science and Technology Beijing2008,15,6: | 1
Targeted inhibition of osteoclastogenesis reveals the pathogenesis and therapeutics of bone loss under sympathetic neurostress显示文摘Sympathetic cues via the adrenergic signaling critically regulate bone homeostasis and contribute to neurostress-induced bone loss, but the mechanisms and therapeutics remain incompletely elucidated. Here,we reveal an osteoclastogenesis-centered functionally important osteopenic pathogenesis under sympatho-adrenergic activation with characterized micro RNA response and efficient therapeutics. We discovered that osteoclastic mi R-21 was tightly regulated by sympatho-adrenergic cues downstream theβ2-adrenergic receptor(β2AR)signaling,critically modulated osteoclastogenesis in vivo by inhibiting programmed cell death 4(Pdcd4),and mediated detrimental effects of both isoproterenol(ISO)and chronic variable stress(CVS)on bone.Intriguingly, without affecting osteoblastic bone formation, bone protection against ISO and CVS was sufficiently achieved by a(D-Asp8)-lipid nanoparticle-mediated targeted inhibition of osteoclastic mi R-21 or by clinically relevant drugs to suppress osteoclastogenesis.Collectively, these results unravel a previously underdetermined molecular and functional paradigm that osteoclastogenesis crucially contributes to sympatho-adrenergic regulation of bone and establish multiple targeted therapeutic strategies to counteract osteopenias under stresses. | Bingdong Sui Jin Liu Chenxi Zheng Lei Dang Ji Chen Yuan Cao Kaichao Zhang Lu Liu Minyan Dang Liqiang Zhang Nan Chen Tao He Kun Xuan Fang Jin Ge Zhang Yan Jin Chenghu Hu | 2022 | International Journal of Oral Science2022,14,4: | 1
Efficient X-ray luminescence imaging with ultrastable and eco-friendly copper(Ⅰ)-iodide cluster microcubes显示文摘The advancement of contemporary X-ray imaging heavily depends on discovering scintillators that possess high sensitivity, robust stability, low toxicity, and a uniform size distribution.Despite significant progress in this field, the discovery of a material that satisfies all of these criteria remains a challenge. In this study,we report the synthesis of monodisperse copper(Ⅰ)-iodide cluster microcubes as a new class of X-ray scintillators. The as-prepared microcubes exhibit remarkable sensitivity to X-rays and exceptional stability under moisture and X-ray exposure. The uniform size distribution and high scintillation performance of the copper(Ⅰ)-iodide cluster microcubes make them suitable for the fabrication of large-area,flexible scintillating films for X-ray imaging applications in both static and dynamic settings. | Yanze Wang Wenjing Zhao Yuanyuan Guo Wenbo Hu Chenxi Peng Lei Li Yuan Wei Zhongbin Wu Weidong Xu Xiyan Li Yung Doug Suh Xiaowang Liu Wei Huang | 2023 | Light(Science & Applications)2023,12,8: | 1
Scientific objectives of the Hot Universe Baryon Surveyor(HUBS) mission显示文摘The Hot Universe Baryon Surveyor(HUBS) is a proposed space-based X-ray telescope for detecting X-ray emissions from the hot gas content in our universe. With its unprecedented spatially-resolved high-resolution spectroscopy and large field of view, the HUBS mission will be uniquely qualified to measure the physical and chemical properties of the hot gas in the interstellar medium, the circumgalactic medium, the intergalactic medium, and the intracluster medium. These measurements will be valuable for two key scientific goals of HUBS, namely to unravel the AGN and stellar feedback physics that governs the formation and evolution of galaxies, and to probe the baryon budget and multi-phase states from galactic to cosmological scales. In addition to these two goals, the HUBS mission will also help us solve some problems in the fields of galaxy clusters, AGNs, difuse X-ray backgrounds, supernova remnants, and compact objects. This paper discusses the perspective of advancing these fields using the HUBS telescope. | Joel Bregman Renyue Cen Yang Chen Wei Cui Taotao Fang Fulai Guo Edmund Hodges-Kluck Rui Huang Luis C.Ho Li Ji Suoqing Ji Xi Kang Xiaoyu Lai Hui Li Jiangtao Li Miao Li Xiangdong Li Yuan Li Zhaosheng Li Guiyun Liang Helei Liu Wenhao Liu Fangjun Lu Junjie Mao Gabriele Ponti Zhijie Qu Chenxi Shan Lijing Shao Fangzheng Shi Xinwen Shu Lei Sun Mouyuan Sun Hao Tong Junfeng Wang Junxian Wang Q.Daniel Wang Song Wang Tinggui Wang Weiyang Wang Zhongxiang Wang Dandan Xu Haiguang Xu Heng Xu Renxin Xu Xiaojie Xu Yongquan Xue Hang Yang Feng Yuan Shuinai Zhang Yuning Zhang Zhongli Zhang Yuanyuan Zhao Enping Zhou Ping Zhou | 2023 | Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2023,66,9: | 1
Pivotal roles of tumor-draining lymph nodes in the abscopal effects from combined immunotherapy and radiotherapy显示文摘Background:Currently, due to synergy enhancement of anti-tumor effects and potent stimulation of abscopal effects, combination therapy with irradiation and programmed cell death protein 1/programmed death-ligand 1(PD-1/PD-L1)immune checkpoint inhibition(immuno-radiotherapy,iRT)has revolutionized the therapeutic guidelines. It has been demonstrated that tumor-draining lymph nodes(TDLN)are essential for effective antitumor immunity induced by radiotherapy, immunotherapy,or iRT.Given that the function of TDLN in iRT remains unclear, this study aimed to investigate the function and mechanism of TDLN in iRT-induced abscopal effects. Methods:The function of TDLN was evaluated using unilateral or bilateral MC38 and B16F10 subcutaneous tumor models with or without indicated TDLN.The flow cytometry, multiple immunofluorescence analysis, and NanoString analysis were utilized to detect the composition and function of the immune cells in the primary and abscopal tumor microenvironment.Additionally,we tempted to interrogate the possible mechanisms via RNA-sequencing of tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes and TDLN.Results:TDLN deficiency impaired the control of tumor growth by monotherapy.Bilateral TDLN removal rather than unilateral TDLN removal substantially curtailed iRT-stimulated anti-tumor and abscopal effects.Furthermore,in the absence of TDLN,the infiltration of CD45+and CD8+T cells was substantially reduced in both primary and abscopal tumors, and the anti-tumor function of CD8+T cells was attenuated as well.Additionally, the polarization of tumor-associated macrophages in primary and abscopal tumors were found to be dependent on intact bilateral TDLN.RNA-sequencing data indicated that impaired infiltration and anti-tumor effects of immune cells partially attributed to the altered secretion of components from the tumor microenvironment. Conclusions:TDLN play a critical role in iRT by promoting the infiltration of CD8+T cells and maintaining the M1/M2 macrophage ratio. | Zhaoyun Liu Zhiyong Yu Dawei Chen Vivek Verma Chenxi Yuan Minglei Wang Fei Wang Qing Fan Xingwu Wang Yang Li Yuequn Ma Meng Wu Jinming Yu | 2022 | Cancer Communications2022,42,10: | 1

Wear behavior of Zn-38Al-3.5Cu-1.2Mg/SiC_(p) composite under different stabilization treatments显示文摘A Zn-38Al-3.5Cu-1.2Mg composite reinforced with nano-SiC_(p) was fabricated via stirring-assisted ultrasonic vibration. To improve the abrasive resistance of the Zn-38Al-3.5Cu-1.2Mg/SiC_(p) composite, several stabilization treatments with distinct solid solutions and aging temperatures were designed. The results indicated that the optimal stabilization treatment for the Zn-38Al-3.5Cu-1.2Mg/SiC_(p) composite comprised solution treatment at 380℃for 6 h and aging at 170℃for 48 h.The stabilization treatment led to the formation of dispersive and homogeneous nano-SiC_(p).During the friction wear condition, the nano-SiC_(p) limited the microstructure evolution from the hardα(Al,Zn)phase to the softβ(Al,Zn)phase. Moreover, the increased amount of nano-SiC_(p) improved the grain dimension and contributed to the composite abrasive resistance.Furthermore, the stabilization treatment suppressed the crack initiation and propagation in the friction wear process, thereby improving the abrasive resistance of the Zn-38Al-3.5Cu-1.2Mg/SiC_(p) composite. | Sheng Liu Qing Yuan Yutong Sima Chenxi Liu Fang Han Wenwei Qiao | 2022 | International Journal of Minerals,Metallurgy and Materials2022,29,6: | 0
Upregulation of E-cadherin by the combination of methionine restriction and HDAC2 intervention for inhibiting gastric carcinoma metastasis显示文摘Invasion and metastasis are the leading causes of death in individuals with malignant tumors, including gastric cancer. In this study,we aim to explore the effect and related mechanisms of methionine restriction(MR)on gastric carcinoma metastasis. In the MR cell model, gastric carcinoma cells are cultured in the MR medium, and in the animal model,BALB/c nude rodents are administered with a methionine-free diet after receiving injections of MKN45 cells into the caudal vein.Transwell assay is used to detect cell invasion and migration.Chromatin im-munoprecipitation is performed to investigate the levels of H3K9me2,H3K27Ac,and H3K27me3 in the E-cadherin promoter. The results show that MR inhibits gastric carcinoma cell migration, invasion, and lung metastasis.MR increases E-cadherin while reducing the H3K27me3 level in the E-cadherin promoter.E-cadherin expression in gastric carcinoma cells is adversely regulated by HDAC2.Overexpressing HDAC2 reduces the H3K27Ac level in the E-cadherin promoter, while interfering with HDAC2 increases the H3K27Ac level.HDAC2 interference under MR conditions further upregulates E-cadherin expression and inhibits gastric carcinoma cell migration, invasion, and lung metastasis.MR combined with HDAc2 interference promotes E-cadherin expression by mediating the me-thylation and acetylation of E-cadherin,thus inhibiting the invasion, migration, and lung metastasis of gastric carcinoma cells. Our study provides a new theoretical basis for the inhibitory effect of MR on gastric cancer. | Yifan Li Chenxi Liu Lin Xin Chuan Liu Jiaqing Cao Zhenqi Yue Jie Sheng Yiwu Yuan Qi Zhou Zhiyang Liu | 2024 | Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2024,56,1: | 0
Cladophora as ecological engineer:A new test from the largest lake of Qinghai-Tibet plateau with filamentous algal blooms显示文摘Filamentous algae blooms(FABs)have been increasing globally in recent years, and their presence can have both harmful and beneficial effects on aquatic ecosystems. As one of the most common FABs,Cladophora blooms have been reported in the lakes of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau during the past few years. However, there have been few studies focused on how FABs impact other aquatic organisms, especially in alpine lakes since these are at the forefront of responding to global climate change. In this study, the phytoplankton communities in different regions of Qinghai Lake were profiled in different seasons using meta-barcode sequencing. The phytoplankton assemblages in areas with Cladophora blooms were compared to those without Cladophora. The phytoplankton community structure correlated with physicochemical properties including water temperature, electrical conductivity, nitrate, and the presence or absence of Cladophora blooms. The relative abundance of Bacillariophytes was found to be higher in zones with Cladophora blooms than in other regions.Significant seasonal changes in phytoplankton biomass andβdiversity were observed in zones with Cladophora blooms.Growth and microbial degradation of Cladophora can change the pH,dissolved oxygen, secchi depth, and nitrate.Together with seasonal temperature and electrical conductivity changes,Cladophora growth can significantly impact the phytoplankton biomass, community dissimilarity and assembly process. These results showed that Cladophora plays a key role in littoral aquatic ecosystem ecology. | Zhihua Wu Xigong Yuan Xiong Xiong Hongyi Ao Chenxi Wu Guoxiang Liu Huan Zhu | 2024 | Water Biology and Security2024,3,1: | 0

Josephin domain containing 2(JOSD2)promotes lung cancer by inhibiting LKB1(Liver kinase B1)activity显示文摘Non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC)ranks as one of the leading causes of cancer-related deaths worldwide.Despite the prominence and effectiveness of kinase-target therapies in NSCLC treatment, these drugs are suitable for and beneficial to a mere~30%of NSCLC patients.Consequently, the need for novel strategies addressing NSCLC remains pressing.Deubiquitinases(DUBs),a group of diverse enzymes with well-defined catalytic sites that are frequently overactivated in cancers and associated with tumorigenesis and regarded as promising therapeutic targets.Nevertheless, the mechanisms by which DUBs promote NSCLC remain poorly understood.Through a global analysis of the 97 DUBs’contribution to NSCLC survival possibilities using The Cancer Genome Atlas(TCGA)database,we found that high expression of Josephin Domain-containing protein 2(JOSD2)predicted the poor prognosis of patients.Depletion of JOSD2 significantly impeded NSCLC growth in both cell/patient-derived xenografts in vivo.Mechanically,we found that JOSD2 restricts the kinase activity of LKB1,an important tumor suppressor generally inactivated in NSCLC,by removing K6-linked polyubiquitination,an action vital for maintaining the integrity of the LKB1-STRAD-MO25 complex.Notably,we identified the first small-molecule inhibitor of JOSD2,and observed that its pharmacological inhibition significantly arrested NSCLC proliferation in vitro/in vivo. Our findings highlight the vital role of JOSD2 in hindering LKB1 activity, underscoring the therapeutic potential of targeting JOSD2 in NSCLC,especially in those with inactivated LKB1,and presenting its inhibitors as a promising strategy for NSCLC treatment. | Tao Yuan Chenming Zeng Jiawei Liu Chenxi Zhao Fujing Ge Yuekang Li Meijia Qian Jiamin Du Weihua Wang Yonghao Li Yue Liu Xiaoyang Dai Jianya Zhou Xueqin Chen Shenglin Ma Hong Zhu Qiaojun He Bo Yang | 2024 | Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2024,9,2: | 0
