| 1 | Comparative transcriptome analysis of different heat stress responses between self-root grafting line and heterogeneous grafting line in rose显示文摘Rose is sensitive to high temperature which will make the rose go into a semi-dormancy state.Grafting is an excellent way to enhance rose heat tolerance.Here,heat-tolerant Rosa multiflora‘Huanong Wuci 1'(W)and heat-sensitive Rosa chinensis‘Old Blush’(X)were selected as experimental materials.The RNA-seq technique was used to investigate the transcriptomes of self-root grafting line(XX0),heterogeneous grafting line(XW0),self-root grafting line under 6 h heat stress(XX6),and heterogeneous grafting line under 6 h heat stress(XW6).Under high temperature stress,multiple signaling pathways were activated,moreover,a large number of transcription factors and functional genes were induced,especially the HSFs and HSPs with remarkably upregulated expression levels.The GO analysis showed that the differences in the expressions of the genes related to fatty acids and carbohydrates were observed between self-root grafting line and heterogeneous grafting line.In addition,14 P450s were differentially expressed,and one lectin gene was up-regulated in XW0 vs XW6,but down-regulated in XX0 vs XX6.Considering physiological and biochemical traits such as relative electrolyte leakage,SOD activity,proline,and total soluble sugars,DEGs involved in these processes may be key factors to resist high temperature.The present study provides an insight into the complex mechanism underlying grafting in response to heat stress.Our results indicate that grafting is an effective way to improve rose heat resistance. | Wenquan Qi Chunling Zhang Wenjing Wang Zhe Cao Song Li Hang Li Wan Zhu Yongqi Huang Manzhu Bao Yanhong He Riru Zheng | 2021 | Horticultural Plant Journal2021,7,3: | 3 |

| 4 | Parallel Study on Potential and Existing Geographical Distribution of Haloxylon Dominated Desert Vegetation in China显示文摘By applying ARC/INFO (NT version) of the GIS software package , we extracted the existing geographicaldistribution ofHaloxylon dominated desertvegetationandproduced athematicmap ofgeographical distribution of theexisting Haloxylon dominated desert vegetation based on the newly published Vegetation Atlas of China;we defined the adaptiveparameter range ofgeographical and climate ofHaloxylon dominated desert vegetation to generate the potential geographical distribution map of Haloxylon dominated desert vegetation with thesupport of GREEN software. We then sliced and compared the existing and thepotential distribution maps. The results show that the potential geographical distribution areas of Haloxylon ammodendron and Haloxylon persicum dominated desert vegetation accord with the existing distribution areas in the administration division, and the topographic types in both the distribution areas are similar. However, the borders of different directions ofthe potential H. ammodendron dominated desert vegetation distribution has surpassed 0.4° to 5.9° of the existing borders. The borders of different directions of the potential H. persicum dominated desert vegetation has surpassed 0.9° to 3.3° of the existing borders. In China, the existing geographical distributionalarea ofH. ammodendron dominated desertvegetation accounts for 9.1% of the potential one in China and the proportion of the existing H. persicum dominated desert vegetation distribution area to the potential areais 34.1%. | 7 | Revealing the GHG reduction potential of emerging biomass-based CO_(2) utilization with an iron cycle system显示文摘CO_(2) utilization becomes a promising solution for reducing anthropogenic greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. Biomass-based CO_(2) utilization (BCU) even has the potential to generate negative emissions, but the corresponding quantitative evaluation is limited. Herein, the biomass-based CO_(2) utilization with an iron cycle (BCU-Fe) system, which converts CO_(2) into formate by Fe under hydrothermal conditions and recovers Fe with biomass-derived glycerin, was investigated. The GHG reduction potential under various process designs was quantified by a multidisciplinary method, including experiments, simulations, and an ex-ante life-cycle assessment. The results reveal that the BCU-Fe system could bring considerable GHG emission reduction. Significantly, the lowest value is −34.03 kg CO_(2)-eq/kg absorbed CO_(2) (−2.44 kg CO_(2)-eq/kg circulated Fe) with the optimal yield of formate (66%) and Fe (80%). | 9 | Narrowband EUV Sc/Si Multilayer for the Solar Upper Transition Region Imager at 46.5 nm显示文摘The transition region is the key region between the lower solar atmosphere and the corona, which has been limitedly understood by human beings. Therefore, the Solar Upper Transition Region Imager(SUTRI) was proposed by Chinese scientists and launched in 2022 July. Right now, the first imaging observation of the upper transition region around 46.5 nm has been carried out by SUTRI. To ensure the spectral and temporal resolution of the SUTRI telescope, we have developed a narrowband Sc/Si multilayer. Based on the extreme ultraviolet(EUV)reflectivity measurements, the multilayer structure has been modified for ensuring the peak position of reflectivity was at 46.5 nm. Finally, the narrowband Sc/Si multilayer was successfully deposited on the hyperboloid primary mirror and secondary mirrors. The deviation of multilayer thickness uniformity was below than 1%, and the average EUV reflectivity at 46.1 nm was 27.8% with a near-normal incident angle of 5°. | 10 | PRKG1 mutation identified by whole-exome sequencing:a potential genetic etiology for He-Zhao deficiency显示文摘Objective:He-Zhao deficiency was originally described as a severe type of nonsyndromic hypodontia,and the causative gene locus was mapped to chromosome 10q11.2.The aim of this study was to identify potential genetic mutations that could cause He-Zhao deficiency.Methods:Patients with He-Zhao deficiency and their unaffected relatives of the large pedigree were investigated.The whole-exome sequencing using next-generation sequencing was employed to identify genetic variants.The data generated from the whole-exome sequencing using the Illumina Novaseq 6000 system were further analyzed by Burrows-Wheeler Aligner software,Sequence Alignment/Map tools and ANNOVAR tool.In vitro luciferase assay was used to investigate the effect of the detected mutation on gene expression.R environment was used to conduct t-tests.The study protocol was approved by the Research Ethics Committee of Bio-X Institutes,Shanghai Jiao Tong University(M2011004).Results:The exomes of five patients with He-Zhao deficiency and two of their unaffected relatives identified a mutation in PRKG1αas the molecular etiology of the disease.The variant c.-144 C>A of PRKG1 isoform 1 cosegregated with permanent tooth agenesis in 93 family members who were older than 12,at which time the primary teeth should have been replaced with permanent teeth.Functional studies suggested that the mutant allele promotes gene transcription by increasing its promoter activity.Conclusion:c.-144 C>A variant of PRKG1αinvolving odontoclast-associated root resorption is responsible for He-Zhao deficiency,unlike other forms of hypodontia,which typically involve odontoblast dysfunction. | Xiaowen Hu Dandan Wang Xuhan Yang Zhongchen Song Zuolin Wang Juan Zhang Chunling Wan Lin He | 2022 | Journal of Bio-X Research2022,5,3: | 0 |
