1Autonomous navigation for a wolfberry picking robot using visual cues and fuzzy control显示文摘Lycium barbarum commonly known as wolfberry or Goji is considered an important ingredient in Japanese,Korean,Vietnamese,and Chinese food and medicine.It is cultivated extensively in these countries and is usually harvested manually,which is laborintensive and tedious task.To improve the efficiency of harvesting and reduce manual labor,automatic harvesting technology has been investigated by many researchers in recent years.In this paper,an autonomous navigation algorithm using visual cues and fuzzy control is proposed for Wolfberry orchards.At first,we propose a new weightage(2.4B-0.9G-R)to convert a color image into a grayscale image for better identification of the trunk of Lycium barbarum,the minimum positive circumscribed rectangle is used to describe the contours.Then,using the contour points the least square method is used to fit the navigation line and a region of interest(ROI)is computed that improves the realtime accuracy of the system.Finally,a set of fuzzy controllers,for pneumatic steering system,is designed to achieve real-time autonomous navigation in wolfberry orchard.Static image experiments show that the average accuracy rate of the algorithm is above 90%,and the average time consumption is approximately 162 ms,with good robustness and real-time performance.The experimental results show that when the speed is 1 km/h,the maximum lateral deviation is less than 6.2 cm and the average lateral deviation is 2.9 cm,which meets the requirements of automatic picking of wolfberry picking robot in real-world environments.Yue Ma Wenqiang Zhang Waqar S.Qureshi Chao Gao Chunlong Zhang Wei Li 2021Information Processing in Agriculture2021,8,1:7
2Crop positioning for robotic intra-row weeding based on machine vision显示文摘A machine-vision-based method of locating crops is described in this research.This method was used to provide real-time positional information of crop plants for a mechanical intra-row weeding robot.Within the normalized red,green,and blue chromatic coordinates(rgb),a modified excess green feature(g-r>T&g-b>T)was used to segment plant material from back ground in color images.The threshold T was automatically selected by the maximum variance(OTSU)algorithm to cope with variable natural light.Taking into account the geometry of the camera arrangement and the crop row spacing,the target regions covering the crop rows were defined based on a pinhole camera model.According to the statistical variation in the pixel histogram in each target region,locations of the crop plants were initially estimated.To obtain the accurate locations of crops,median filtering was conducted locally in the bounding boxes of the crops close to the bottom of the images.For the lateral guidance of the robot,a novel method of calculating lateral offset was proposed based on a simplified match between a template and the detected crops.Field experiments were conducted under three different illumination conditions.The results showed that the accurate identification rates on lettuce,cauliflower and maize were all above 95%.The positional error as within±15 mm,and the average processing time for a 640×480 image was 31 ms.The method was adequate to meet the technical requirement of the weeding robot,and laid a foundation for robotic weeding in commercial production system.Li Nan Zhang Chunlong Chen Ziwen Ma Zenghong Sun Zhe Yuan Ting Li Wei Zhang Junxiong 2015International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2015,8,6:4
3Three dimensional apple tree organs classification and yield estimation algorithm based on multifeatures fusion and support vector machine显示文摘The automatic classification of apple tree organs is of great significance for automatic pruning of apple trees,automatic picking of apple fruits,and estimation of fruit yield.How-ever,there are some problems of dense foliage,partial occlusion and clustering of apple fruits.All of the problems above would contribute to the difficulties of organs classification and yield estimation of the apple trees.In this paper a method based on Color and Shape Multi-features Fusion and Support Vector Machine(SVM)for 3D apple tree organs classifi-cation and yield estimation was proposed.The method was designed for dwarf and densely planted apple trees at the early and late maturity stages.196-dimensional feature vectors composed with Red Green Blue(RGB),Hue Saturation Value(HSV),Curvatures,Fast Point Feature Histogram(FPFH),and Spin Image were extracted firstly.And then the SVM based on linear kernel function was trained,after that the trained SVM was used for apple tree organs classification.Then the position weighted smoothing algorithm was used for clas-sified apple tree organs smoothing.Then the agglomerative hierarchical clustering algo-rithm was used to recognize single apple fruit for yield estimation.On the same training and test set the experimental results showed that the SVM based on linear kernel function outperformed the KNN algorithm and Ensemble algorithm.The Recall,Precision and F1 score of the proposed method for yield estimation were 93.75%,96.15%and 94.93%respec-tively.In summary,to solve the problems of apple tree organs classification and yield esti-mation in natural apple orchard,a novelty method based on multi-features fusion and SVM was proposed and achieve good performance.Moreover,the proposed method could pro-vide technical support for automatic apple picking,automatic pruning of fruit trees,and automatic information acquisition and management in orchards.Luzhen Ge Kunlin Zou Hang Zhou Xiaowei Yu Yuzhi Tan Chunlong Zhang Wei Li 2022Information Processing in Agriculture2022,9,3:3
4CHH methylation of genes associated with fatty acid and jasmonate biosynthesis contributes to cold tolerance in autotetraploids of Poncirus trifoliata显示文摘Polyploids have elevated stress tolerance,but the underlying mechanisms remain largely elusive.In this study,we showed that naturally occurring tetraploid plants of trifoliate orange(Poncirus trifoliata(L.) Raf.) exhibited enhanced cold tolerance relative to their diploid progenitors.Transcriptome analysis revealed that whole-genome duplication was associated with higher expression levels of a range of well-characterized cold stress-responsive genes.Global DNA methylation profiling demonstrated that the tetraploids underwent more extensive DNA demethylation in comparison with the diploids under cold stress.CHH methylation in the promoters was associated with up-regulation of related genes,whereas CG,CHG,and CHH methylation in the 3’-regions was relevant to gene down-regulation.Of note,genes involved in unsaturated fatty acids(UFAs) and jasmonate(JA)biosynthesis in the tetraploids displayed different CHH methylation in the gene flanking regions and were prominently up-regulated,consistent with greater accumulation of UFAs and JA when exposed to the cold stress.Collectively,our findings explored the difference in cold stress response between diploids and tetraploids at both transcriptional and epigenetic levels,and gained new insight into the molecular mechanisms underlying enhanced cold tolerance of the tetraploid.These results contribute to uncovering a novel regulatory role of DNA methylation in better cold tolerance of polyploids.Yue Wang Lanlan Zuo Tonglu Wei Yu Zhang Yang Zhang Ruhong Ming Dahro Bachar Wei Xiao Khan Madiha Chuanwu Chen Qijun Fan Chunlong Li Ji-Hong Liu 2022Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2022,64,12:2

7Human 8-cell embryos enable efficient induction of disease-preventive mutations without off-target effect by cytosine base editor显示文摘Approximately 140 million people worldwide are homozygous carriers of APOE4(ε4),a strong genetic risk factor for late onset familial and sporadic Alzheimer’s disease(AD),91%of whom will develop AD at earlier age than heterozygous carriers and noncarriers.Susceptibility to AD could be reduced by targeted editing of APOE4,but a technical basis for controlling the off-target effects of base editors is necessary to develop low-risk personalized gene therapies.Here,we first screened eight cytosine base editor variants at four injection stages(from 1-to 8-cell stage),and found that FNLS-YE1 variant in 8-cell embryos achieved the comparable base conversion rate(up to 100%)with the lowest bystander effects.In particular,80%of AD-susceptibleε4 allele copies were converted to the AD-neutralε3 allele in humanε4-carrying embryos.Stringent control measures combined with targeted deep sequencing,whole genome sequencing,and RNA sequencing showed no DNA or RNA off-target events in FNLS-YE1-treated human embryos or their derived stem cells.Furthermore,base editing with FNLS-YE1 showed no effects on embryo development to the blastocyst stage.Finally,we also demonstrated FNLS-YE1 could introduce known protective variants in human embryos to potentially reduce human susceptivity to systemic lupus erythematosus and familial hypercholesterolemia.Our study therefore suggests that base editing with FNLS-YE1 can efficiently and safely introduce known preventive variants in 8-cell human embryos,a potential approach for reducing human susceptibility to AD or other genetic diseases.Yinghui Wei Meiling Zhang Jing Hu Yingsi Zhou Mingxing Xue Jianhang Yin Yuanhua Liu Hu Feng Ling Zhou Zhifang Li Dongshuang Wang Zhiguo Zhang Yin Zhou Hongbin Liu Ning Yao Erwei Zuo Jiazhi Hu Yanzhi Du Wen Li Chunlong Xu Hui Yang 2023Protein & Cell2023,14,6:0
8Variation of the coastal upwelling off South Java and their impact on local fishery resources显示文摘There is a vast upwelling area induced by the southeast monsoon in the waters off South Java,making the region an important fishing ground.Climate events can affect the variation of upwelling,but oceanographers have different understandings on the extent to which climate events control upwelling in this area,which leads to a lack of basis for studies on the evaluation and mechanisms of the variability of fishery resources in the region.The correlation between environmental parameters,including surface temperature(SST),chlorophyll-a(Chl-a)concentration,and climate event indices in South Java from 2003 to 2020 was analyzed.Results show that the Indian Ocean Dipole(IOD)has a greater influence on the interannual variability of upwelling intensity than ENSO.During the IOD,variations in equatorial latitudinal winds excite different types of Kelvin waves that anomalously deepen or shallow the thermocline,which is the main cause of anomalous variations in upwelling,independent of variations in the local wind field.A correlation between the interannual variability in upwelling and the annual catches was revealed,showing that climatic events indirectly affect fishery resources through upwelling effects.During positive IOD/El Niño periods,strong upwelling delivers more nutrients to the surface layer,which favors fish growth and reproduction,resulting in higher annual catches.A negative IOD/La Niña,on the other hand,leads to weaker upwelling and fewer nutrients into the surface waters.Fish tend to move in deeper waters,making traditional fishing methods less efficient and consequently lower annual catches.Chunlong WEN Zhenyan WANG Jing WANG Hongchun LI Xingyu SHI Wei GAO Haijun HUANG 2023Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2023,41,4:0

10Broccoli seedling pest damage degree evaluation based on machine learning combined with color and shape features显示文摘The degree of pest damage evaluation on corps in the field environment is very important for precision spraying pesticides.In this paper,we proposed an image processing method to identify the wormholes in the image of broccoli seedlings,and then to evaluate the damage of the broccoli seedlings by pests.The broccoli seedlings were taken as the research object.The ratio of wormhole areas to broccoli seedling leaves areas(Rw)was used to describe the pest damage degree.An algorithm was developed to calculate the ratio of wormhole areas to broccoli seedling leaves areas.Firstly,broccoli seedling leaves were segmented from the background and the area of the leaves was obtained.There were some holes in segmentation results due to pest damage and other reasons.Then,a classifier based on machine learning was developed to classify the wormholes and other holes.Twenty-four features,including color features and shape features of the holes,were used to develop classifiers.After identifying wormholes from images,the area of the wormholes was obtained and the degree of pest damage to broccoli seedling was calculated.The determination coefficient(R2)between the algorithm calculated pest damage degree and manually labeled pest damage degree was 0.85.The root-mean-square error(d)was 0.02.Results demonstrated that the color and shape were able to effectively segment wormholes from leaves of broccoli seedlings and evaluate the degree of pest damage.This method could provide references for precision spraying pesticides.Kunlin Zou Luzhen Ge Hang Zhou Chunlong Zhang Wei Li 2021Information Processing in Agriculture2021,8,4:0

12Formation conditions of Sinian–Cambrian large lithologic gas reservoirs in the north slope area of central Sichuan Basin,SW China显示文摘Based on analyses of characteristics,hydrocarbon charging history and geological conditions for the formation of Sinian-Cambrian reservoirs in the north slope area of central Sichuan paleo-uplift,the natural gas origin,accumulation evolution,accumulation pattern and formation conditions of large lithologic gas reservoirs have been investigated.Through comprehensive analyses of natural gas composition,carbon and hydrogen isotopic compositions,fluid inclusions,reservoir bitumen,and geological conditions such as lithofacies paleogeography and beach body characterization,it is concluded that:(1)The natural gas in the Sinian-Cambrian of the north slope area is mainly oil cracking gas,and different contribution ratios of multiple sets of source rocks lead to different geochemical characteristics of natural gas in different reservoirs.(2)Although the both Sinian and Cambrian gas reservoirs in this area are lithologic gas reservoirs under monocline background,the former has normal-pressure and the latter has high-pressure.There are three types of source-reservoir-caprock combinations:single source with lower generation and upper reservoir,double sources with lower generation and upper reservoir or with side source and lateral reservoir,double sources with lower generation and upper reservoir or with upper generation and lower reservoir.The Permian-Triassic is the main generation period of oil,Early-Middle Jurassic is the main generation period of oil cracking gas and wet gas,and Late Jurassic-Cretaceous is the main generation period of dry gas.(3)The Sinian-Cambrian system of the north slope area has two favorable conditions for formation of large lithologic gas reservoirs,one is that the large scale beach facies reservoirs are located in the range of ancient oil reservoirs or near the source rocks,which is conducive to the'in-situ'large-scale accumulation of cracked gas in the paleo-oil reservoirs,the other is that the large scale mound-beach complex reservoirs and sealing layers of inter beach tight zones match effectively to form large lithologic traps under the slope background.The research results confirm that the north slope area has large multi-layer lithologic gas reservoirs with more than one trillion cubic meters of natural gas resources and great exploration potential.WEI Guoqi XIE Zengye YANG Yu LI Jian YANG Wei ZHAO Luzi YANG Chunlong ZHANG Lu XIE Wuren JIANG Hua LI Zhisheng LI Jin GUO Jianying 2022Petroleum Exploration and Development2022,49,5:0
