1Circular RNA circCCNB1 inhibits the migration and invasion of nasopharyngeal carcinoma through binding and stabilizing TJP1 mRNA显示文摘Nasopharyngeal carcinoma(NPC)is a malignant tumor that usually occurs in people from Southeast Asia and Southern China.NPC is prone to migration and invasion,leading to poor prognosis.A large number of circular RNAs(circ RNAs)exacerbate the process of metastasis in NPC;however,their underlying mechanisms remain unclear.We found that the circular RNA circ CCNB1,encoded by the oncogene CCNB1,was downregulated in NPC biopsies and cell lines.In vitro assays show that circ CCNB1 inhibits NPC cell migration and invasion.Moreover,circ CCNB1 induces a protein,nuclear factor 90(NF90),to bind and prolong the half-life of tight junction protein 1(TJP1)m RNA.Upregulation of TJP1 enhances tight junctions between cancer cells and inhibits NPC cell migration and invasion.This study reveals a novel biological function of circ CCNB1 in the migration and invasion of NPC by enhancing the tight junctions of cancer cells by binding to NF90 proteins and TJP1 m RNA,and may provide a potential therapeutic target for NPC.Mengyao Zhao Yian Wang Fenghua Tan Lingyun Liu Xiangchan Hou Chunmei Fan Le Tang Yongzhen Mo Yumin Wang Qijia Yan Zhaojian Gong Zheng Li Qianjin Liao Can Guo He Huang Xi Zeng Guiyuan Li Zhaoyang Zeng Wei Xiong Fuyan Wang 2022Science China(Life Sciences)2022,65,11:4

4Quality assessment of processed Eucommiae Cortex based on the color and tensile force显示文摘Eucommiae Cortex(EC),the dried stem bark of Eucommia ulmoides Oliv,has been traditionally used to strengthen the muscle and bone tissues and improve liver and kidney functions in East Asian countries,including China,Japan,and Korea.Salty-fried EC(SFEC)is made by using mixing EC and saline together based on the protocol of Chinese Materia Medica Processing(CMMP)for clinical use.However,the clinical effectiveness of SFEC is directly impacted by the frying temperature and time.But precise techniques for evaluating the caliber of SFEC have yet to be developed.Thus,this study aimed to establish a fast and accurate quality-check method for SFEC decoction pieces.According to the frying temperature and time,four different categories of SFEC had been got according to the Chinese Pharmacopoeia method as Raw(R),Under(U),Moderately(M),and Overly(O).The red(R),green(G),blue(B),and light(L)color values of the decoction pieces were quantitated using the Photoshop software to determine the standard value range of the L color(raw[104.44±15.06],under[67.28±8.20],moderately[39.94±6.40],and over[15.02±5.03]).Additionally,the tensile strengths and pinoresinol diglucoside(PDG)levels of EC gum-silks were measured using the mechanical tensile test and HPLC,respectively.We also conducted Pearson correlation analysis on the L color value,EC gum-silk tension(FbcN),and PDG level,and established the following muliple-linear regression equation:the decline in PDG level(w)=0.829-0.001×FbeN-0.009×I.In conclusion,the L color value and FbeN could be used for cluster analysis of four categories of SFEC.Additinally,based on the correlation among the L color value,gum-silk tensile test,and PDG level,a rapid and accurate quality-control method for SFEC decoction pieces with different frying temperatures and durations was estab-lished.This method facilitates the manufacturing of efficacious SFEC.Haiying Xu Lanqing Li Chunmei Tan Juanjuan Han Linghang Qu Jiyuan Tu Xianqiong Liu Kang Xu 2022Medicine in Novel Technology and Devices2022,,4:0
5Research progress and application of the CRISPR/Cas9 gene-editing technology based on hepatocellular carcinoma显示文摘Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)is now a common cause of cancer death,with no obvious change in patient survival over the past few years.Although the traditional therapeutic modalities for HCC patients mainly involved in surgery,chemotherapy,and radiotherapy,which have achieved admirable achievements,challenges are still existed,such as drug resistance and toxicity.The emerging gene therapy of clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeat/CRISPR-associated nuclease 9-based(CRISPR/Cas9),as an alternative to traditional treatment methods,has attracted considerable attention for eradicating resistant malignant tumors and regulating multiple crucial events of target gene-editing.Recently,advances in CRISPR/Cas9-based anti-drugs are presented at the intersection of science,such as chemistry,materials science,tumor biology,and genetics.In this review,the principle as well as statues of CRISPR/Cas9 technique were introduced first to show its feasibility.Additionally,the emphasis was placed on the applications of CRISPR/Cas9 technology in therapeutic HCC.Further,a broad overview of non-viral delivery systems for the CRISPR/Cas9-based anti-drugs in HCC treatment was summarized to delineate their design,action mechanisms,and anticancer applications.Finally,the limitations and prospects of current studies were also discussed,and we hope to provide comprehensively theoretical basis for the designing of anti-drugs.Shijing Yu Ruirui Zhao Bingchen Zhang Chunmei Lai Linyan Li Jiangwen Shen Xiarong Tan Jingwei Shao 2023Asian Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences2023,18,4:0

7A healable, mechanically robust and ultrastretchable ionic conductive elastomer for durably wearable sensor显示文摘The ionic conductive elastomers show great promise in multifunctional wearable electronics,but they currently suffer from liquid leakage/evaporation or mechanical compliance.Developing ionic conductive elastomers integrating non-volatility,mechanical robustness,superior ionic conductivity,and ultra-stretchability remains urgent and challenging.Here,we developed a healable,robust,and conductive elastomer via impregnating free ionic liquids(ILs)into the ILs-multigrafted poly(urethane-urea)(PUU)elastomer networks.A crucial strategy in the molecular design is that imidazolium cations are largely introduced by double-modification of PUU and centipede-like structures are obtained,which can lock the impregnated ILs through strong ionic interactions.In this system,the PUU matrix contributes outstanding mechanical properties,while the hydrogen bonds and ionic interactions endow the elastomer with self-healing ability,conductivity,as well as non-volatility and transparency.The fabricated ionic conductive elastomers show good conductivity(3.8×10^(-6) S·cm^(-1)),high mechanical properties,including tensile stress(4.64 MPa),elongation(1470%),and excellent healing ability(repairing efficiency of 90%after healing at room temperature for 12 h).Significantly,the conductive elastomers have excellent antifatigue properties,and demonstrate a highly reproducible response after 1000 uninterrupted extension-release cycles.This work provides a promising strategy to prepare ionic conductive elastomers with excellent mechanical properties and stable sensing capacity,and further promote the development of mechanically adaptable intelligent sensors.Guoxian Zhang Chunmei Li JiaoJun Tan Mingqi Wang Yafeng Ren Feijie Ge Qiuyu Zhang 2024Nano Research2024,17,4:0
