1Fingolimod alters inflammatory mediators and vascular permeability in intracerebral hemorrhage显示文摘Intracerebral hemorrhage(ICH) leads to high rates of death and disability. The pronounced infl ammatory reactions that rapidly follow ICH contribute to disease progression. Our recent clinical trial demonstrated that oral administration of an immune modulator fingolimod restrained secondary injury derived from initial hematoma,but the mechanisms remain unknown. In this study,we aim to investigate the effects of fingolimod on inflammatory mediators and vascular permeability in the clinical trial of oral fingolimod for intracerebral hemorrhage(ICH). The results showed that fingolimod decreased the numbers of circulating CD4^+ T,CD8^+ T,CD(19)^+B,NK,and NKT cells and they recovered quickly after the drug was stopped. The plasma ICAM level was decreased and IL-10 was increased by fingolimod. Interestingly,fingolimod protected vascular permeability as indicated by a decreased plasma level of MMP9 and the reduced r T1%. In conclusion,modulation of systemic inflammation by fingolimod demonstrates that it is an effective therapeutic agent for ICH. 2A novel method for distinguishing fog and haze based on PM2.5, visibility, and relative humidity显示文摘Haze and fog are both low visibility events, but with different physical properties. Haze is caused by the increase of aerosol loading or the hygroscopic growth of aerosol at high relative humidity, whereas visibility degradation in fog is due to the light scattering of fog droplets, which are transited from aerosols via activation. Based on the difference of physical properties between haze and fog, this study presents a novel method to distinguish haze and fog using real time measurements of PM2.5, visibility, and relative humidity. In this method, a criterion can be developed based on the local historical data of particle number size distributions and aerosol hygroscopicity. 4Impending HRT wave precursors to the Wenchuan M_s8.0 earthquake and methods of earthquake impending prediction by using HRT wave显示文摘We deployed four geo-electric monitoring stations in Sichuan and Yunnan provinces from 2004, using the new generation of equipment (PS-100) and technologies to capture the HRT wave earthquake precursor. Before the Wenchuan Ms8.0 earthquake, we recorded the HRT wave precursor at the only operating station in Hongge (HG, Δ=465 km) and found that significant impending signal had been recorded at the station in the early morning ( 0―5 am) of 12th of May, 2008. The precursor for this earthquake is consistent with precursors recorded for other strong earthquakes. The measured physical properties (geo-resistivity and telluric-current) show tidal wave period oscillations from several days to several months before the earthquakes and the amplitude of such HT oscillation increases significantly towards the occurrence of an earthquake. These HT and RT waves from the epicenter have a causal relationship with the earthquakes that happened several days later. The arrival time of two RT waves is proportional to the distance from the station to the epicenter. The estimated natural decay of the amplitude is correlated with the natural period (T0) of the earthquake fault, which is proportional to the fault length. From this relationship, we can predict the earthquake magnitude. For magnitude 6―9 earthquakes, the natural period is about 1―6 hours. Such oscillation comes from the epicenter area and they can propagate several thousand kilometers in the Earth's crust. Before a strong earthquake in the shallow crust, the conductive pore fluid will experience major changes before the fault rapture. Such fluid change will emit an oscillation in the pore fluid pressure. This is the mechanism for the HRT wave generation. Since the China Earthquake Administration funded the HRT wave short-term earth-quake prediction project in 2003, the first record of HRT precursor wave has been recorded from the 2004-12-26 Sumatra Mw9.0 earthquake with the largest epicentre distance Δ=2900 km. Thereafter, we have captured HRT waves from more than twenty strong earthquakes, which are well-matched and show repeatability, consistency and regularity. All our observation with the HRT waves demonstrate that HRT wave precursors to earthquakes indeed exist. Strong earthquakes can be predicted and short-term and impending earthquake prediction is achievable in the very near future. 5Combustion synthesis and magnetic investigation of nanosized CoFe_2O_4显示文摘Nanosized Co spinel ferrite was prepared by a combustion method. The grain size of resultant ferrite can becontrolled by the reaction conditions. Magnetic investigation revealed that the products with an average grain size of 4 nm behave as superparamagnetic materials and have zero coercive force; whereas the samples with an average grain size of 85 nm (near the size of critical single domain) have the maximal coercive force. 6Simulation Analysis and Experimental Verification of Spiral-tube-type Valveless Piezoelectric Pump with Gyroscopic Effect显示文摘The current research of the valveless piezoelectric pump focuses on increasing the flow rate and pressure differential. Compared with the valve piezoelectric pump, the valveless one has excellent performances in simple structure, low cost, and easy miniaturization. So, their important development trend is the mitigation of their weakness, and the multi-function integration. The flow in a spiral tube element is sensitive to the element attitude caused by the Coriolis force, and that a valveless piezoelectric pump is designed by applying this phenomenon. The pump has gyroscopic effect, and has both the actuator function of fluid transfer and the sensor function, which can obtain the angular velocity when its attitude changes. First, the present paper analyzes the flow characteristics in the tube, obtains the calculation formula for the pump flow, and identifies the relationship between pump attitude and flow, which clarifies the impact of flow and driving voltage, frequency, spiral line type and element attitude, and verifies the gyroscopic effect of the pump. Then, the finite element simulation is used to verify the theory. Finally, a pump is fabricated for experimental testing of the relationship between pump attitude and pressure differential. Experimental results show that when Archimedes spiral θ=4π is selected for the tube design, and the rotation speed of the plate is 70 r/min, the pressure differential is 88.2 Pa, which is 1.5 times that of 0 r/min rotation speed. 7Advances in Technologies of Piezoelectric Pumping with Valves显示文摘Piezoelectric pump faces unprecedented challenges when higher expectation and requirements need to be met in their applications mainly to medical treatment,hygiene and public health,and preventive healthcare.Specifically,the piezoelectric pump with valve has the disadvantages of complex structure,high duty cycle of valves,and valve movement lagged behind piezoelectric ceramics oscillation.In an attempt to inhibit its shortcomings,some researchers presented novel concepts for structural design of piezoelectric pump with valve,which could become a new research focus.Among them,the investigation into various soft valves,represented by soft structure valves made of rigid materials and soft material valves made of flexible materials,has been fruitful in recent years.The integrated design of both material and structure can tackle the problems encountered in the study of piezoelectric pump with valve,thus simplifying the pump structure,reducing the duty-cycle of valves,and improving the lagging of valve motion.In addition,new inventions of pump structure have sprung up,such as the pumps containing a single-chamber with double-drive,single-chamber with single-drive in series and single-chamber with single-drive in parallel,as well as the mixed-chamber in series and parallel.After surveying the recent progresses made by dominant academia in the development of piezoelectric pump encompassing valve,with a particular emphasis on structure design of both valve and pump body,we also summarize and identify the future research directions.Zhang Jianhui Wang Ying Fu Jun Yan Kang Li Zhiming Zhao Chunsheng 2016Transactions of Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics2016,33,3:2
8The impact of the atmospheric turbulence-development tendency on new particle formation:a common finding on three continents显示文摘A new mechanism of new particle formation(NPF)is investigated using comprehensive measurements of aerosol physicochemical quantities and meteorological variables made in three continents,including Beijing,China;the Southern Great Plains site in the USA;and SMEARⅡStation in Hyytiala,Finland.D espite the considerably different emissions of chemical species among the sites,a common relationship was found between the characteristics of NPF and the stability intensity.The stability parameter(ζ=Z/L,where Z is the height above ground and L is the Monin-Obukhov length)is found to play an important role;it drops significantly before NPF as the atmosphere becomes more unstable,which may serve as an indicator of nucleation bursts.As the atmosphere becomes unstable,the NPF duration is closely related to the tendency for turbulence development,which influences the evolution of the condensation sink.Presumably,the unstable atmosphere may dilute pre-existing particles,effectively reducing the condensation sink,especially at coarse mode to foster nucleation.This new mechanism is confirmed by model simulations using a molecular dynamic model that mimics the impact of turbulence development on nucleation by inducing and intensifying homogeneous nucleation events.Hao Wu Zhanqing Li Hanqing Li Kun Luo Yuying Wang Peng Yan Fei Hu Fang Zhang Yele Sun Dongjie Shang Chunsheng Liang Dongmei Zhang Jing Wei Tong Wu Xiaoai Jin Xinxin Fan Maureen Cribb Marc L.Fischer Markku Kulmala Tuukka Petaja 2021National Science Review2021,8,3:2

20城市更新中的市场主导与政府调控--深圳市城市更新“十三五”规划编制的新思路显示文摘An urban renewal mode of'government guidance and marketized operation'has been established in Shenzhen City according to the Measures for Urban Renewal in Shenzhen promulgated in 2009,which has formed a fully marketized renewal mode.However,from the development in the 12th Five-Year Plan period,it can be seen that a number of problems had emerged,such as an imbalanced renewal structure,overload of the maximum capacity,shortage of supporting facilities,and a lack of coordination,which had resulted in a low efficiency of the urban renewal.In view that little attention has been paid to planning coordination and public interests in the renewal process,some new thoughts,characterized by market-led and government-regulated balanced development,is proposed in the urban renewal planning of Shenzhen in the 13th Five-Year Plan period.It emphasizes that,while insisting on the principle of'market-led development,'the government should change its role from'active nonintervention'to'active regulation,'and adopt specific measures such as implementing renewal coordination planning,strengthening renewal zoning control,establishing early warning mechanisms,and improving the configuration standards for supporting facilities.Miao Chunsheng Zou Bing Zhang Yan 2020China City Planning Review2020,29,4:1
