1A single Eu^(2+)-activated high-color-rendering oxychloride white-light phosphor for white-light-emitting diodes显示文摘Single-phased,high-color-rendering index(CRI)white-light phosphors are emerging as potential phosphor-converted white-light-emitting diodes(WLEDs)and as an alternative to blends of tricolor phosphors.However,it is a challenge to create a high CRI white light from a single-doped activator.Here,we present a high CRI(Ra 591)white-light phosphor,Sr_(5)(PO_(4))_(3-x)(BO_(3))_(x)Cl:Eu^(2+),composed of Sr5(PO4)3Cl as the beginning member and Sr_(5)(BO_(3))_(3)Cl as the end member.This work utilized the solid-solution method,and tunable Eu^(2+) emission was achieved.Color-tunable Eu^(2+) emissions in response to structural variation were observed in Sr_(5)(PO_(4))_(3-x)(BO_(3))_(x)Cl solid solutions.This was further confirmed using X-ray Rietveld refinement,electron paramagnetic resonance spectroscopy,and in the photoluminescence spectra.The color-tunable emissions included the white light that originated from the combination of the blue emission of Sr_(5)(PO_(4))_(3)Cl:Eu^(2+) and an induced Eu^(2+) yellow emission at approximately 550 nm in the solid solution.Importantly,the white-light phosphors showed a greater R9590.2 under excitation at 365 nm.This result has rarely been reported in the literature and is greater than that of(R9514.3)commercial Y_(3)A_(l5)O_(12):Ce^(3+)-based WLEDs.These findings demonstrate the great potential of Sr_(5)(PO_(4))_(3-x)(BO_(3))_(x)Cl:0.04Eu^(2+) as a white-light phosphor for near-UV phosphor-converted WLEDs.These results also provide a shortcut for developing a high CRI white-light phosphor from a single Eu^(2+)-doped compound.Peng-Peng Dai Cong Li Xin-Tong Zhang Jun Xu Xi Chen Xiu-Li Wang Yan Jia Xiaojun Wang Yi-Chun Liu 2016Light(Science & Applications)2016,5,1:14

4Toxoplasma ROP16Ⅰ/Ⅲ ameliorated inflammatory bowel diseases via inducing M2 phenotype of macrophages显示文摘BACKGROUND Inflammatory bowel disease(IBD)is characterized by chronic and non-specific inflammation of the intestinal mucosa and mainly includes ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease.AIM To explore the beneficial effect of ToxoROP16I/III-induced M2 phynotype macrophages in homeostasis of IBDs through downregulation of M1 inflammatory cells.METHODS RAW264.7 macrophages stimulated by lipopolysaccharide(LPS)(M1 cells)were co-cultured with Caco-2 cells as an inflammatory model of IBD in vitro.The expression of ToxoROP16I/III was observed in RAW264.7 macrophages that were transfected with pEGFP-rop16I/III.The phenotypes of M2 and M1 macrophage cells were assessed by quantitative real-time reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction and the expression of tumor necrosis factor(TNF)-α,interleukin(IL)-1β,IL-6,transforming growth factor(TGF)-β1,IL-10,inducible nitric oxide synthase(iNOS),and arginase-1(Arg-1)was detected.The expression of iNOS,Arg-1,signal transducer and activator of transcription 3(Stat3),p-Stat3,Stat6,p-Stat6,programmed death ligand-2(PD-L2),caspase-3,-8,and-9 was analyzed by Western blotting,and Griess assays were performed to detect nitric oxide(NO).TNF-α,IL-1β,IL-6,TGF-β1,and IL-10 expression in the supernatants was detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay,and Caco-2 cell apoptosis was co-culture system.RESULTS M1 cells exhibited significantly increased production of iNOS,NO,TNF-α,IL-1β,and IL-6,while ToxoROP16I/III induced macrophage bias to M2 cells in vitro,showing increased expression of Arg-1,IL-10 and TGF-β1 and elevated production of p-Stat3 and p-Stat6.The mixed M1 and M2 cell culture induced by ToxoROP16I/III exhibited decreased production of NO and iNOS and upregulated expression of Arg-1 and PD-L2.Accordingly,Caco-2 cells became apoptotic,and apoptosis-associated proteins such as caspase-3,-8 and-9 were dampened during co-culture of M1 and M2 cells.Flow cytometry analysis showed that co-culture of M1 cells with Caco-2 cells facilitated the apoptosis of Caco-2 cells,but co-culture of M1 and M2 cells alleviated Caco-2 cell apoptosis.CONCLUSION ToxoROP16I/III-induced M2 macrophages inhibited apoptosis of Caco-2 cells caused by M1 macrophages.This finding may help gain a better understanding of the underlying mechanism and represent a promising therapeutic strategy for IBDs.Yong-Wei Xu Rui-Xin Xing Wen-Hui Zhang Lu Li Yi Wu Jing Hu Cong Wang Qing-Li Luo Ji-Long Shen Xi Chen 2019World Journal of Gastroenterology2019,25,45:7

6A draft sequence of the rice (Oryza sativa ssp. indica) genome显示文摘The sequence of the rice genome holds fundamental information for its biology, including physiology, genetics, development, and evolution, as well as information on many beneficial phenotypes of economic significance. Using a 'whole genome shotgun' approach, we have pro-duced a draft rice genome sequence of Oryza sativa ssp. in-dica, the major crop rice subspecies in China and many other regions of Asia. The draft genome sequence is constructed from over 4.3 million successful sequencing traces with an accumulative total length of 2214.9 Mb. The initial assembly of the non-redundant sequences reached 409.76 Mb in length, based on 3.30 million successful sequencing traces with a total length of 1797.4 Mb from an indica variant cultivar 93-11, giving an estimated coverage of 95.29% of the rice genome with an average base accuracy of higher than 99%. 7Trust-based service composition in multi-domain environments under time constraint显示文摘Trust plays a pivotal role in decision support for service-oriented computing networks.Recent advances in service evaluation and selection have provided some preliminary findings on the construction of composite services.However,the great expense of interdomain validations,the dynamic execution time and the subjective requirement for global execution time remain serious obstacles to the trust-based service composition.To solve these issues,this paper proposes a novel service-composition approach,modeling the trust-based service composition as the multi-domain scheduling and assignment problem using the minimum service resources within a certain time constraint.In our approach,each service is designed as an exclusive resource during its execution.By analyzing the required interdomain communications,the number of available services and the aggregated trust value in each domain,the optimal domain can be obtained at each step of service selection.Meanwhile,loop parallelization and predecessor reselection are adopted when the task cannot be completed on schedule.Finally,to raise higher trust value of the composite result,the redundant service resources of the initial composition are further optimized.The experimental results illustrate that the proposed trust-based service-composition approach outperforms traditional ones in both effectiveness and scalability under various time constraints.ZHANG Tao MA JianFeng LI Qi XI Ning SUN Cong 2014Science China(Information Sciences)2014,57,9:5

923,24-Dihydrocucurbitacin B promotes lipid clearance by dual transcriptional regulation of LDLR and PCSK9显示文摘23,24-Dihydrocucurbitacin B(designated as C95 in this article)is a cucurbitane triterpenoid that has been shown to possess a variety of pharmacological activities,such as anti-inflammatory and anti-HIV-1 activities etc.In this study,we investigated the effects of 23,24-dihydrocucurbitacin B on lipid regulation.We showed that 23,24-dihydrocucurbitacin B(1–5μM)dose-dependently promoted DiI-LDL uptake in HepG2 cells by upregulating low-density lipoprotein receptor(LDLR)protein.In HepG2 cells,23,24-dihydrocucurbitacin B(1–10μM)dose-dependently enhanced LDLR promoter activity by elevating the mature form of SREBP2(sterol regulatory element binding protein 2)protein levels on one hand,and inhibited PCSK9(proprotein convertase subtilisin/kexin type 9)promoter activity by attenuating HNF1α(hepatocyte nuclear factor-1α)protein levels in nuclei on the other hand.Consequently,the expression of LDLR protein markedly increased,whereas the PCSK9-mediated LDLR protein degradation decreased.In a high-cholesterol LVG golden Syrian Hamster model,administration of 23,24-dihydrocucurbitacin B(30 mg·kg?1?d?1,intragastric,for 3 weeks)significantly decreased the serum LDL-cholesterol(LDL-C)levels.PCSK9 protein levels in the serum and liver tissues were significantly decreased,whereas LDLR protein levels in liver tissues were significantly increased in the treated animals as compared with the control animals.In conclusion,our study demonstrates for the first time that 23,24-dihydrocucurbitacin B exhibits dual transcriptional regulation of LDLR and PCSK9 in HepG2 cells by increasing SREBP2 protein levels and decreasing HNF1αprotein levels in the nuclei.These results propose a new strategy to simultaneously manage LDLR and PCSK9 protein expression and provide a promising lead compound for drug development.Hui-hui Li Jun Li Xian-jing Zhang Jiao-meng Li Cong Xi Wen-qiong Wang You-li Lu Li-jiang Xuan 2020Acta Pharmacologica Sinica2020,41,3:5
10Credit-based scheme for security-aware and fairness-aware resource allocation in cloud computing显示文摘Cloud computing systems include different types of participants with varied requirements for resources and multiple tasks; these varying requirements must be considered in the design of fairness-aware resource allocation schemes for better resources sharing. However, some participants may be malicious with a goal to damage the resource allocation fairness and increase their own utility. Hence, the resource scheduling policy must guarantee allocation fairness among the participants; further, it must ensure that fairness is not affected by the malicious usage of resources, that could cause resource exhaustion and lead to denial of service. In order to address this challenge, we propose a credit-based mechanism for resource allocation that will avoid the malicious usage of resources and, simultaneously, guarantee allocation fairness. In our scheme, a credit factor is introduced for each participant in order to evaluate the history of resource utilization and determine future resource allocation. Our model encourages a participant to release the occupied resources in timely manner after the completion of a task and imposes a punishment for malicious occupation of resources. We prove the fairness of our model and provide linear and variable gradient approaches to determine the credit factor for different scenarios. We simulate our model and perform experiments on a real cloud computing platform. 11The putative tumor suppressor C53 interacts with the human telomerase reverse transcriptase hTERT and regulates telomerase activity显示文摘Telomerase is a large ribonucleoprotein complex that contains a catalytic telomerase reverse transcriptase(TERT)and an RNA template.Telomerase activity is tightly controlled by TERT expression,which is regulated at both the transcriptional and post-translational levels.However,the detailed molecular mechanisms of telomerase regulation and function are not fully understood.To identify cofactors that contribute to telomerase regulation,we employed a yeast two-hybrid system to screen for hTERT-interacting proteins,using the hTERT T-motif as bait.We identify C53 as a novel hTERT interaction partner.We show that C53 interacts with hTERT both in vivo and in vitro.C53 depletion increases telomerase activity,and C53 overexpression inhibits telomerase activity in MCF7 cells.In addition,the C53 leucine zipper domain(amino acids 301–400)is required for interaction with hTERT.Deleting the leucine zipper domain eliminates C53 interaction with hTERT and abrogates its inhibitory effect on telomerase activity.Taken together,our results demonstrate that C53 is a novel hTERT-associated protein that negatively regulates telomerase activity.Junzhi Zhou Peng Xi Qi Zhou Deqiang Ding Yusheng Cong 2014Chinese Science Bulletin2014,59,19:4
12Silence of STIM1 attenua=tes the proliferation and migration of EPCs after vascular injury and its mechanism显示文摘Objective:To investigate the effect of stromal interaction molecule 1(STIM1) knockdown on the proliferation and migration of endothelial progenitor cells(EPCs) after vascular injury and its mechanism.Methods:The rat bone marrow derived EPCs were divided into three groups:adenovirus negative control(group NSC),rat STIM1 adenovirus vector transfection group(group si/rSTIM1) and rat &human recombinant STIM1 adenovirus transfection group(group si/rSTlM1+hSTIM1).The STIM1 expressions in each group were detected by reverse transcription PCR after transfection;the cell proliferation was tested by[3H]thymidine incorporation assay(3HTdR);Cell cycle was analyzed by flow cytometry;the cells’ migration activity was detected by Boyden assay;Calcium ion concentration was detected by using laser confocal method.Results:48 h later after transfection,the expression level of STIM1 in si/rSTIM1 cells was significantly lower than that in NSC group(0.21±0.12 vs 1.01±0.01,P<0.05);EPCs that stayed in G1 phase in si/rSTIM1 group[(93.3l±0.24)%]were significantly more than that in NSC group[(78.03±0.34)%,P<0.05];EPCs’ migration activity in si/rSTIM1 group(10.03±0.33) was significantly lower than that in NSC group:(32.11±0.54,P<0.05);EPCs calcium ion concentration changes in EPCs in si/rSTIM1group(38.03±0.13) was significantly lower than that in NSC group(98.11±0.34,P<0.05).While there was no significant difference between si/rSTIM1+hSTIM1 group and NSC group on the four indexes above.Conclusions:Silence of STIM1 attenuates EPCs proliferation and migration after vascular injury,by mediating the calcium ion concentration in EPCs.Xin-Peng Cong Wen-Hui Wang Xi Zhu Can Jin Liang Liu Xin-Min Li 2014Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Medicine2014,7,5:3
13Distributed Information Flow Verification for Secure Service Composition in Smart Sensor Network显示文摘Accelerate processor, efficient software and pervasive connections provide sensor nodes with more powerful computation and storage ability, which can offer various services to user. Based on these atomic services, different sensor nodes can cooperate and compose with each other to complete more complicated tasks for user. However, because of the regional characteristic of sensor nodes, merging data with different sensitivities become a primary requirement to the composite services, and information flow security should be intensively considered during service composition. In order to mitigate the great cost caused by the complexity of modeling and the heavy load of single-node verification to the energy-limited sensor node, in this paper, we propose a new distributed verification framework to enforce information flow security on composite services of smart sensor network. We analyze the information flows in composite services and specify security constraints for each service participant. Then we propose an algorithm over the distributed verification framework involving each sensor node to participate in the composite service verification based on the security constraints. 14Concentrating partially entangledW-class states on nonlocal atoms using low-Q optical cavity and linear optical elements显示文摘Entanglement plays an important role in quantum information science, especially in quantum communications. Here we present an efficient entanglement concentration protocol(ECP) for nonlocal atom systems in the partially entangled W-class states, using the single-photon input-output process regarding low-Q cavity and linear optical elements. Compared with previously published ECPs for the concentration of non-maximally entangled atomic states, our protocol is much simpler and more efficient as it employs the Faraday rotation in cavity quantum electrodynamics(QED) and the parameter-splitting method. The Faraday rotation requires the cavity with low-Q factor and weak coupling to the atom, which makes the requirement for entanglement concentration much less stringent than the previous methods, and achievable with current cavity QED techniques. The parameter-splitting method resorts to linear-optical elements only. 15Structural characteristics of the KPR-CBR triple-junction inferred from gravity and magnetic interpretations,Philippine Sea Plate显示文摘The intersection of the Kyushu-Palau Ridge(KPR)and the Central Basin Rift(CBR)of the West Philippine Basin(WPB)is a relic of a trench-trench-rift(TTR)type triple-junction,which preserves some pivotal information on the cessation of the seafloor spreading of the WPB,the emplacement and disintegration of the proto-Izu-Bonin-Mariana(IBM)Arc,and the transition from initial rifting to steady-state spreading of the Parece Vela Basin(PVB).However,the structural characteristics of this triple-junction have not been thoroughly understood.In this paper,using the newly acquired multi-beam bathymetric,gravity,and magnetic data obtained by the Qingdao Institute of Marine Geology,China Geological Survey,the authors depict the topographic,gravity,and magnetic characteristics of the triple-junction and adjacent region.Calculations including the upward continuations and total horizontal derivatives of gravity anomaly are also performed to highlight the major structural features and discontinuities.Based on these works,the morphological and structural features and their formation mechanisms are analyzed.The results show that the last episode amagmatic extension along the CBR led to the formation of a deep rift valley,which extends eastward and incised the KPR.The morphological and structural fabrics of the KPR near and to the south of the triple-junction are consistent with those of the western PVB,manifesting as a series of NNE-SSW-and N-S-trending ridges and troughs,which were produced by the extensional faults associated with the initial rifting of the PVB.The superposition of the above two reasons induced the prominent discontinuity of the KPR in deep and shallow crustal structures between 15°N‒15°30′N and 13°30′N‒14°N.Combined with previous authors’results,we propose that the stress produced by the early spreading of the PVB transmitted westward and promoted the final stage amagmatic extension of the CBR.The eastward propagation of the CBR destroyed the KPR,of which the magmatism had decayed or ceased at that time.The destruction mechanism of the KPR associated with the rifting of the PVB varies along strike the KPR.Adjacent to the triple-junction,the KPR was destroyed mainly due to the oblique intersection of the PVB rifting center.Whereas south of the triple-junction,the KPR was destroyed by the E-W-directional extensional faulting on its whole width.Lu-ning Shang Pan-feng Li Run-lin Du Feng-long Bai Gang Hu Wen-chao Lü Xia Li Xi Mei Tian-yu Zhang Hou-zhen Cao Jing-yi Cong Xian-yao Shi 2021China Geology2021,4,4:3
16Large-scale branch contingency analysis through master/slave parallel computing显示文摘Contingency analysis(CA)requires fast execution time for real-time power system operations.Because CA problems can naturally be divided into separate subtasks,parallel computing helps to speed up the computation time.This paper proposes a master/slave parallel computing architecture and studies the computation of CA in a large-scale power system through high performance computing,adopting a message passing interface for implementation.In particular,although the execution time of CA varies,there is a tradeoff between having an imbalanced workload and'paying'a synchronization penalty for parallel computing:either factor blocks the progress of scalability.The proposed layered dynamic scheduling method is effective to tackle the challenge of high synchronization cost and workload imbalance and have the potential to further scale for the N-2 contingency analysis.Xi YANG Cong LIU Jianhui WANG 2013Journal of Modern Power Systems and Clean Energy2013,1,2:2
17Study on the bioactivity changes of hydroxylated sulfonylureas derivatives: A possible metabolism显示文摘Some new sulfonylureas and their hydroxylation products had been synthesized from 2-amino-4-methylpyrimidine. Their bioactivities against E. coli AHAS II in vitro were tested and the results indicated that the hydroxylation decreased the inhibition activities of sulfonylureas significantly. Subsequently herbicidal tests against stem-growth of barnyard grass and root-growth of rape confirmed the above conclusion. 20Association of assisted reproductive technology, germline de novo mutations and congenital heart defects in a prospective birth cohort study显示文摘Emerging evidence suggests that children conceived through assisted reproductive technology(ART)have a higher risk of congenital heart defects(CHDs)even when there is no family history.De novo mutation(DNM)is a well-known cause of sporadic congenital diseases;however,whether ART procedures increase the number of germline DNM(gDNM)has not yet been well studied.Here,we performed whole-genome sequencing of 1137 individuals from 160 families conceived through ART and 205 families conceived spontaneously.Children conceived via ART carried 4.59 more gDNMs than children conceived spontaneously,including 332 paternal and 1.26 maternal DNMs,after correcting for parental age at conception,cigarette smoking,alcohol drinking,and exercise behaviors.Paternal DNMs in offspring conceived via ART are characterized by C>T substitutions at CpG sites,which potentially affect protein-coding genes and are significantly associated with the increased risk of CHD.In addition,the accumulation of non-coding functional mutations was independently associated with CHD and 87.9% of the mutations were originated from the father.Among ART offspring,infertility of the father was associated with elevated paternal DNMs;usage of both recombinant and urinary follicle-stimulating hormone and high-dosage human chorionic gonadotropin trigger was associated with an increase of maternal DNMs.In sum,the increased gDNMs in offspring conceived by ART were primarily originated from fathers,indicating that ART itself may not be a major reason for the accumulation of gDNMs.Our findings emphasize the importance of evaluating the germline status of the fathers in families with the use of ART.Cheng Wang Hong Lv Xiufeng Ling Hong Li Feiyang Diao Juncheng Dai Jiangbo Du Ting Chen Qi Xi Yang Zhao Kun Zhou Bo Xu Xiumei Han Xiaoyu Liu Meijuan Peng Congcong Chen Shiyao Tao Lei Huang Cong Liu Mingyang Wen Yangqian Jiang Tao Jiang Chuncheng Lu Wei Wu Di Wu Minjian Chen Yuan Lin Xuejiang Guo Ran Huo Jiayin Liu Hongxia Ma Guangfu Jin Yankai Xia Jiahao Sha Hongbing Shen Zhibin Hu 2021Cell Research2021,31,8:2
