7Multi-timescale Affinely Adjustable Robust Reactive Power Dispatch of Distribution Networks Integrated with High Penetration of PV显示文摘Photovoltaic(PV)power generation has highly penetrated in distribution networks,providing clean and sustainable energy.However,its uncertain and intermittent power outputs significantly impair network operation,leading to unexpected power loss and voltage fluctuation.To address the uncertainties,this paper proposes a multi-timescale affinely adjustable robust reactive power dispatch(MTAAR-RPD)method to reduce the network power losses as well as alleviate voltage deviations and fluctuations.The MTAAR-RPD aims to coordinate on-load tap changers(OLTCs),capacitor banks(CBs),and PV inverters through a three-stage structure which covers multiple timescales of“hour-minute-second”.The first stage schedules CBs and OLTCs hourly while the second stage dispatches the base reactive power outputs of PV inverter every 15 min.The third stage affinely adjusts the inverter reactive power output based on an optimized Q-P droop controller in real time.The three stages are coordinately optimized by an affinely adjustable robust optimization method.A solution algorithm based on a cutting plane algorithm is developed to solve the optimization problem effectively.The proposed method is verified through theoretical analysis and numerical simulations.Peishuai Li Zaijun Wu Cuo Zhang Yan Xu Zhaoyang Dong Minqiang Hu 2023Journal of Modern Power Systems and Clean Energy2023,11,1:1

13Multi-timescale Energy Sharing with Grid-BESS Capacity Rental Considering Uncertainties显示文摘The growing number of distributed energy resources(DERs)in distribution networks brings new opportunities for local energy sharing.This paper proposes a multi-timescale en-ergy sharing approach among DER aggregators and distribution system operators(DSOs)considering grid-battery energy storage system(BESS)capacity rental and network operations.An energy sharing coordinator is created to manage the energy sharing with price determination.In an hour-ahead stage,the buying/selling energy and required grid-BESS rental capacity are optimally determined by the aggregators while the network operation is robustly considered by the DSO.In addition to renewable generation and loads,the power exchanges of the aggregators are treated as uncertainties.Then during each hour,15-min-ahead energy transaction and controllable DERs are optimized to track uncertainty realization.The uncertainties in the aggregators and the DSO are addressed by stochastic and robust optimization methods,respectively.To efficiently solve the proposed energy sharing problem,a distributed solution algorithm with step length control and step reduction techniques is developed.The simulation results verify the high efficiency of the proposed energy sharing approach.Index Terms-Battery capacity rental,distributed solution algorithm,energy sharing,optimization,uncertainty.Bo Wang Cuo Zhang Chaojie Li Xiangjing Su Zihang Qiu Zhao Yang Dong 2023CSEE Journal of Power and Energy Systems2023,9,4:0
14Pareto Front Analysis Method for Optimization of PV Inverter Based Volt/Var Control Considering Inverter Lifetime显示文摘Photovoltaic(PV)inverter-based volt/var control(VVC)is highly promising to tackle the emerging voltage regulation challenges brought by increasing PV penetration.However,PV inverter operational reliability has arisen as a critical concern for practical VVC implementation.This paper proposes a new PV inverter based VVC optimization model and a Pareto front analysis method for maintaining a satisfactory inverter lifetime.First,reliability of the vulnerable DC-link capacitor inside a PV inverter is analyzed,and long-term VVC impact on inverter operational reliability is identified.Second,a multi-objective PV inverter based VVC optimization model is proposed for minimizing both inverter apparent power output and network power loss with a weighting factor.Third,a Pareto front analysis method is developed to visualize the impact of the weighting factor on VVC performance and inverter reliability,thus determining the effective weighting factor to reduce network power loss with expected inverter lifetime.Effectiveness of the proposed VVC optimization model and Pareto front analysis method are verified in a case study.Qingmian Chai Cuo Zhang Yan Xu Zhao Yang Dong Rui Zhang 2023CSEE Journal of Power and Energy Systems2023,9,1:0
