| 2 | Involvement of the crebellum in sequential finger movement learning:Evidence from functional magnetic resonance imaging显示文摘Whether the cerebellum is involved in volun-tary motor learning or motor performance is the subject of a new debate. Using functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI), we examined cerebellar activation in eight volun-teers before and after an extended period of training. Activa-tion volume on both sides of cerebellum after learning was significantly reduced compared to that before learning even under the same motor frequency. Remarkably, while motor frequency for the training sequence was significantly higher than the control sequence after 41 d of learning, activation in the cerebellum for both sequences, with respect to activation loci and volumes, was very similar. These results suggest that the cerebellum was involved in motor learning but not motor performance. | 7 | Boosting the performance of deep-ultraviolet photodetector arrays based on phase-transformed heteroepitaxial β-Ga_(2)O_(3) films for solar-blind imaging显示文摘Solar-blind imaging has attracted considerable interest in both military and civilian applications,spurring the development of high-performance deep-ultraviolet photodetector arrays(PDAs) with wide-bandgap semiconductor materials.Herein,we present a novel method to enhance the performance of solar-blind PDAs(SBPDs) using β-Ga_(2)O_(3) films obtained by the phase transition of heterogeneous epitaxial sub-stable ε-Ga_(2)O_(3),achieved through high-temperature rapid annealing.Metal-semiconductor-metaltype SBPDs based on phase-transformed β-Ga_(2)O_(3) films exhibited superior performance,including an ultrahigh responsivity of 459.38 A/W,detectivity of 10^(14)–10^(15) Jones,external quantum efficiency of 10^(4)%–10^(5)%,rejection ratio(R_(254)/R_(365)) of 10^(5)–10^(6),photo-to-dark current ratio of 10^(4)–10^(6),fast response speed of 1.01 s/0.06 s,and favorable stability.Notably,the ultrahigh responsivity of β-Ga_(2)O_(3)-film-based devices was approximately 222-fold higher than that of ε-Ga_(2)O_(3) film-based devices.The assembled 4×5 β-Ga_(2)O_(3) film-based PDAs exhibited favorable uniformity,repeatability,and high spatial resolution for solarblind imaging.Our study offers a promising approach for the development of high-performance β-Ga_(2)O_(3)-based PDAs for solarblind ultraviolet imaging with potential applications in both military and civilian fields. | ZHENG QiQi CHEN LingRui LI XuDong DING Ke PANG Di LI HongLin XIONG YuanQiang RUAN HaiBo FANG Liang LI WanJun YE LiJuan ZHANG Hong KONG ChunYang | 2023 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2023,66,9: | 0 |
| 8 | Control of lupus activity during pregnancy via the engagement of IgG sialylation:novel crosstalk between IgG sialylation and pDC functions显示文摘Immunoglobulin(IgG)glycosylation affects the effector functions of IgG in a myriad of biological processes and has been closely associated with numerous autoimmune diseases,including systemic lupus erythematosus(SLE),thus underlining the pathogenic role of glycosylation aberration in autoimmunity.This study aims to explore the relationship between IgG sialylation patterns and lupus pregnancy.Relative to that in serum samples from the control cohort,IgG sialylation level was aberrantly downregulated in serum samples from the SLE cohort at four stages(from preconception to the third trimester of pregnancy)and was significantly associated with lupus activity and fetal loss during lupus pregnancy.The type I interferon signature of pregnant patients with SLE was negatively correlated with the level of IgG sialylation.The lack of sialylation dampened the ability of IgG to suppress the functions of plasmacytoid dendritic cells(pDCs).RNA-seq analysis further revealed that the expression of genes associated with the spleen tyrosine kinase(SYK)signaling pathway significantly differed between IgG-and deSia-IgG-treated pDCs.This finding was confirmed by the attenuation of the ability to phosphorylate SYK and BLNK in deSia-IgG.Finally,the coculture of pDCs isolated from pregnant patients with SLE with IgG/deSia-IgG demonstrated the sialylation-dependent anti-inflammatory function of IgG.Our findings suggested that IgG influences lupus activity through regulating pDCs function via the modulation of the SYK pathway in a sialic acid-dependent manner. | You Wang Sihan Lin Jiayue Wu Meng Jiang Jianhua Lin Yu Zhang Huihua Ding Haibo Zhou Nan Shen Wen Di | 2023 | Frontiers of Medicine2023,17,3: | 0 |
| 9 | Advances in the Application of Perovskite Materials显示文摘Nowadays, the soar of photovoltaic performance of perovskite solar cells has set off a fever in the study of metal halide perovskite materials. The excellent optoelectronic properties and defect tolerance feature allow metal halide perovskite to be employed in a wide variety of applications. This article provides a holistic review over the current progress and future prospects of metal halide perovskite materials in representative promising applications, including traditional optoelectronic devices(solar cells, light-emitting diodes, photodetectors, lasers), and cutting-edge technologies in terms of neuromorphic devices(artificial synapses and memristors) and pressure-induced emission. | 10 | Electron donor–acceptor (D-A) tuning to achieve soluble covalent organic polymers for optoelectronic devices显示文摘Covalent organic polymers(COPs)have emerged as a unique class of luminescent polymers with pre-designed quasi-ordered architectures.However,their layered stacks and limited solubility preclude further processing for large-scale applications in devices,especially optoelectronic equipment.Herein,a universal strategy to adjust the electron donor–acceptor(D-A)moieties of the building blocks in COPs is proposed,achieved by in situ charge exfoliation of COP blocks into few-layer true solutions in(Lewis)acid and base media.The electron D-A moieties of the building blocks endow the COPs with the ability to accept or donate electrons,by altering the electron cloud distribution as well as the relative energy levels of the frontier molecular orbitals.The resultant soluble COPs can easily be processed into a uniform film by solution processing via the spin-coat method.The obtained COP-N achieves efficient and stable perovskite electroluminescence as a novel hole injection material on indium tin oxide,and the operating lifetime for a perovskite quantum dot light-emitting diodes device exceeds that of a poly(ethylene dioxythiophene):polystyrene sulphonate counterpart.This straightforward electronic regulation strategy provides a new avenue for the rational synthesis of processable reticular molecular polymers for practical electronic devices. | Xueli Li Xianjin Yue Yifei Wang Tengge Chen Yihui Zhou Di Liu Hengyang Xiang Shengli Zhang Haibo Zeng Zhonghua Xiang | 2023 | eScience2023,3,1: | 0 |
| 11 | Identification of the Mislabeled Breast Cancer Samples by Mitochondrial DNA Haplotyping显示文摘The task to identify whether an archival malignant tumor specimen had been mislabeled or interchanged is a challenging one for forensic genetic&The nuclear DNA(nDNA)markers were affected by the aberration of tumor cells,so they were not suitable for personal identification when the tumor tissues were tested.In this study,we focused on a new solution-mitochondrial single nucleotide polymorphism(mtSNP)haplotyping by a multiplex SNaPshot assay.To validate our strategy of haplotyping with 25 mtSNPs,we analyzed 15 pairs of cancerous/healthy tissues taken from patients with ductal breast carcinoma.The haplotypes of all the fifteen breast cancer tissues were matched with their paired breast tissues.The heteroplasmy at 2 sites,14783A/G and 16519C/T was observed in one breast tissue,which indicated a mixture of related mitochondrial haplotypes.However,only one haplotype was retained in the paired breast cancer tissue,which could be considered the result of proliferation of tumor subclone.The allele drop-out and allele drop-in were observed when 39 STRs and 20 tri-allelic SNPs of nDNA were applied.Compared to nDNA markers applied,25 mtSNPs were more stable without interference from aberrance of breast cancer.Also,two cases were presented where the investigation of haplotype with 25 mtSNPs was used to prove the origin of biopsy specimen with breast cancer.The mislabeling of biopsy specimen with breast cancer could be certified in one case but could not be supported in the other case.We highlight the importance of stability of mtSNP haplotype in breast cancer.It was implied that our multiplex SNaPshot assay with 25 mtSNPs was a useful strategy to identify mislabeled breast cancer specimen. | Xiaogang Chen Di Lu Ji Zhang Feng Song Haibo Luo Zheng Ren Wei Wei Yiping Hou | 2015 | Journal of Forensic Science and Medicine2015,1,2: | 0 |
| 12 | Effect of intermittent joint distribution on the mechanical and acoustic behavior of rock masses显示文摘The mechanical characteristics and acoustic behavior of rock masses are greatly influenced by stochastic joints.In this study,numerical models of rock masses incorporating intermittent joints with different numbers and dip angles were produced using the finite element method(FEM)with the intrinsic cohesive zone model(ICZM).Then,the uniaxial compressive and wave propagation simulations were performed.The results indicate that the joint number and dip angle can affect the mechanical and acoustic properties of the models.The uniaxial compressive strength(UCS)and wave velocity of rock masses decrease monotonically as the joint number increases.However,the wave velocity grows monotonically as the joint dip angle increases.When the joint dip angle is 45°–60°,the UCS of the rock mass is lower than that of other dip angles.The wave velocity parallel to the joints is greater than that perpendicular to the joints.When the dip angle of joints remains unchanged,the UCS and wave velocity are positively related.When the joint dip angle increases,the variation amplitude of the UCS regarding the wave velocity increases.To reveal the effect of the joint distribution on the velocity,a theoretical model was also proposed.According to the theoretical wave velocity,the change in wave velocity of models with various joint numbers and dip angles was consistent with the simulation results.Furthermore,a theoretical indicator(i.e.fabric tensor)was adopted to analyze the variation of the wave velocity and UCS. | Shuaiyang Fu Haibo Li Liwang Liu Di Wu Ben Wang | 2024 | Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering2024,16,4: | 0 |
