1Insights into Cronobacter sakazakii Biofilm Formation and Control Strategies in the Food Industry显示文摘Cronobacter sakazakii(C.sakazakii)is a foodborne opportunistic pathogen that can cause life-threatening invasive diseases,such as necrotizing enterocolitis,meningitis,and sepsis in infants.The potential risk of C.sakazakii contamination of powdered infant formula(PIF)is an issue that has attracted considerable attention from manufacturers,regulators,and consumers.C.sakazakii biofilms on the surfaces of equipment and in diverse food-production environments constitute a mode of cell growth that protects the pathogen from hostile environments,and are an important source of persistent contamination of food products.Bacterial biofilms are difficult to remove due to their resistant properties.Conventional cleaning and sterilizing procedures may be insufficient for biofilm control,and may lead to further biofilm development and dispersal.Consequently,novel control strategies are being developed,such as nanotechnology-based delivery systems,interspecies interactions,antimicrobial molecules of microbial origin,natural extracts,and phages.This review focuses on describing the mechanisms underlying the biofilm formation and behavior of C.sakazakii and discussing potential control strategies.Na Ling Stephen Forsythe Qingping Wu Yu Ding Jumei Zhang Haiyan Zeng 2020Engineering2020,6,4:10
2Chelating agents role on phase formation and surface morphology of single orthorhombic YMn_2O_5 nanorods via modified polyacrylamide gel route显示文摘YMn2O5nanorods were synthesized through a modified polyacrylamide gel route.The synthesis strategy in this work is based on a sol-gel process using a polyacrylamide gel method in which oxalic acid,citric acid or tartaric acid is employed as the chelating agent.In the gel routes,oxalic acid was used as a carboxyl chelating agent,while citric acid or tartaric acid was a carboxyl and hydroxyl chelating agent.The as-prepared samples were characterized by means of techniques such as X-ray powder diffraction(XRD)measurement,thermogravimetric analysis(TG),differential scanning calorimetry analysis(DSC),Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR),X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS),thermal expansion measurement and field-emission scanning electron microscopy(SEM)investigations.It was found that oxalic acid is the best chelating agent with Y(NO3)3·6H2O and Mn(CH3COO)2·4H2O as precursors to prepare a single orthorhombic YMn2O5nanorods at 1000°C.Scanning electron microscope observation shows that the morphology of YMn2O5powders is significantly dependent on the chelating agent.The peaks(single orthorhombic YMn2O5nanorods)at 642,600,573,546,521,493,486,468,448 and 400cm?1were observed from FTIR spectra.The phase,surface morphology and chelation mechanisms of YMn2O5samples have been discussed on the basis of the experimental results.WANG ShiFa ZHANG ChuanFei SUN GuangAi CHEN Bo XIANG Xia DING QingPing ZU XiaoTao 2014Science China Chemistry2014,57,3:4

5Quantum Dot Nanobeads-Labelled Lateral Flow Immunoassay Strip for Rapid and Sensitive Detection of Salmonella Typhimurium Based on Strand Displacement Loop-Mediated Isothermal Amplification显示文摘Rapid,sensitive,point-of-care detection of pathogenic bacteria is important for food safety.In this study,we developed a novel quantum dot nanobeads-labelled lateral flow immunoassay strip(QBs-labelled LFIAS)combined with strand displacement loop-mediated isothermal amplification(SD-LAMP)for quantitative Salmonella Typhimurium(ST)detection.Quantum dot nanobeads(QBs)served as fluorescence reporters,providing good detection efficiency.The customizable strand displacement(SD)probe was used in LAMP to improve the specificity of the method and prevent by-product capture.Detection was based on a sandwich immunoassay.A fluorescence strip reader measured the fluorescence intensity(FI)of the test(T)line and control(C)line.The linear detection range of the strip was 10^(2)–10^(8) colony forming units(CFU)·mL^(-1).The visual limit of detection was 10^(3) CFU·mL^(-1),indicating that the system was ten-fold more sensitive than AuNPs-labelled test strips.ST specificity was analyzed in accordance with agarose gel outputs of polymerase chain reaction(PCR)and SD-LAMP.We detected ST in foods with an acceptable recovery of 85%–110%.The method is rapid,simple,almost equipment-free,and suitable for bacterial detection in foods and for clinical diagnosis.Yuting Shang Shuzhen Cai Qinghua Ye Qingping Wu Yanna Shao Xiaoying Qu Xinran Xiang Baoqing Zhou Yu Ding Moutong Chen Liang Xue Honghui Zhu Jumei Zhang 2022Engineering2022,,12:0
6Smart light-responsive hierarchical metal organic frameworks constructed mixed matrix membranes for efficient gas separation显示文摘One type of new light-responsive hierarchical metal organic framework(MOF) has been successfully prepared using Co(NO_(3))_(3)·6H_(2)O as the metal salt and 4,4’-azobenzenedicarboxylic acid as the ligand by microwave method for the first time. It is found that MOF [Co(Az DC)] exhibits a light-responsive characteristic to SO_(2)adsorption due to the presence of azo group from the ligand. The light-responsive hierarchical MOFs are incorporated into Matrimid■ 5218(PI) matrix to prepare mixed matrix membranes(MMMs) for gas separation application. The morphology, crystallinity, chain mobility and thermal stability of MMMs are explored. Results show that Co(Az DC) may elevate both the CO_(2)(SO_(2)) permeability and CO_(2)(SO_(2))/N_(2)selectivity of the MMMs. In particular,the Co(Az DC) doped MMMs exhibit the significantly improved CO_(2)(SO_(2))/N_(2)selectivity from 33(123) for PI control membrane to 78(420) for MMMs, overcoming the 2008 Robeson upper bound for CO_(2)/N_(2)system. Sizesieving effect of Co(Az DC) with pore size 0.35 nm enhances the selectivity, while the –N=N– group from Co(Az DC) shows affinity to CO_(2)molecular rather than N_(2), also elevating selectivity of MMMs. In brief, enhanced selectivity of high-performance membrane is attributed to incorporation of Co(Az DC) particles, which displays synergistic effects both in size-sieving and CO_(2)-philic interaction for CO_(2)/N_(2)separation. Smart highly selective interface is constructed in MMMs by switching the configuration of MOFs from cis to trans. 7Synthesis of nickel selenide thin films for high performance all-solid-state asymmetric supercapacitors显示文摘As a significant semiconductor,nickel selenide shows enormous potential and extensive application pro spects in the field of sensor,photocatalysis and supercapacito r.In this paper,nickel selenide(Ni3Se2,NiSe) thin films were successfully fabricated on stainless-steel sheet using a facile,effective electrodeposition technique.The morphologies,microstructures and chemical compositions of the thin films are characterized systematically.Electrochemical tests exhibit that the Ni3Se2 and NiSe possess high specific capacitance of 581.1 F/g and 1644.7 F/g,respectively.A flexible,all-solid-state asymmetric supercapacitor is assembled by utilizing NiSe film as positive electrode and activated carbon as negative electrode.The solid device delivers a high areal capacitance of 27.0 mF/cm2 at the current density of 0.7 mA/cm2.The maximum volumetric energy density and powerdensity of the NiSe//AC asymmetric SCs can achieve 0.26 mWh/cm3 and 33.35 mW/cm3,respectively.The device shows robust cycling stability with 84.6% capacitance retention after 10,000 cycles,outstanding flexibility and satis factory mechanical stability.Moreover,two devices in series can light up a red light-emitting diode,which displayed great potential applications for energy storage.Hao Li Jiangfeng Gong Jing-Chang Li Xincheng Zhang Chunmei Tang Hongbing Yao Qingping Ding 2020Chinese Chemical Letters2020,31,9:0
8Ultrapermeable membranes based on connected cluster of hollow polydimethylsiloxane nanoparticles for gas separation显示文摘Mixed matrix membranes(MMMs)with the performance between the matrix and the filler is a promising strategy for membranes with excellent gas permeability-selectivity.In this study,the hollow polydimethylsiloxane nanoparticles were synthesized and then incorporated with the poly(oxide ethylene)monomer and tri-functional cross-linker to form mixed matrix membranes by in situ poly-merization.The hollow nanoparticles formed the independent closed nanocavities in membranes,which enhanced the gas permeability contributed by both the improved diffusivity and solubility.At high loading,the hollow polydimethylsiloxane nanoparticle was converted into the continuous phase with the cross-linked poly(oxide ethylene)as the dispersed phase.Gases preferred to permeate through the connected cluster of hollow polydimethylsiloxane nanoparticles,finally leading to ultrahigh gas per-meabilities far going beyond the instinct values of polydimethylsiloxane and the cross-linked poly(oxide ethylene).The optimized membrane with 34 wt%hollow nanoparticles loadings exhibited ultrahigh permeabilities with the values of 44186 Barrer for CO_(2) and 11506 Barrer for O_(2),accompanied with a CO_(2)/N_(2) selectivity of 9.9 and an O_(2)/N_(2) selectivity of 2.6,which exceeded the 2008 Robeson upper bound for O_(2)/N_(2) and located at the 2008 Robeson upper bound for CO_(2)/N_(2).Xiaoli Ding Fangfang Tan Hongyong Zhao Qingping Xin Yuzhong Zhang 2023Particuology2023,,8:0
9Effect of Na^(+)on catalytic performance of CoCe/ZSM-5 catalysts for oxidation of toluene显示文摘A CoCe/ZSM-5 catalyst was prepared by ultrasonic-assisted impregnation for the catalytic combustion of toluene.To study the effect of Na+on catalytic performance of CoCe/ZSM-5 catalysts,a series of different Si/Al ZSM-5 zeolites and catalysts doped with Na were synthesized.The experimental results show that 0.71 wt%Na+can inhibit active growth,generate more active small crystal grains,and promote improvement of the catalytic activity by the grain boundary segregation block mechanism,and the catalyst with 0.71 wt%of Na shows toluene conversion of 90 vol%at 250℃.Over 0.71 wt%of Na+content will neutralize the acid centre of the catalyst,lowering the specific surface area of the catalyst and resulting in a gradual decrease in the catalytic activity.Qingping Zou Mingqing Liu Mengjie Fan Yaping Ding Yingwen Chen Shubao Shen 2021Journal of Rare Earths2021,39,4:0
