| 1 | Regulation of the inflammatory cycle by a controllable release hydrogel for eliminating postoperative inflammation after discectomy显示文摘Surgery is the final choice for most patients with intervertebral disc degeneration(IDD).Operation-caused trauma will cause inflammation in the intervertebral disc.Serious inflammation will cause tissue defects and induce tissue degeneration,IDD recurrence and the occurrence of other diseases.Therefore,we proposed a scheme to treat recurrence after discectomy by inhibiting inflammation with an aspirin(ASP)-loaded hydrogel to restore the mechanical stability of the spine and relieve local inflammation.ASP-liposomes(ASP-Lips)were incorporated into a photocrosslinkable gelatin-methacryloyl(GelMA)via mixing.This material can effectively alleviate inflammation by inhibiting the release of high mobility group box 1(HMGB1)from the nucleus to the cytoplasm.We further assessed the expression of inflammatory cytokines,such as interleukin 6(IL-6)and tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),and degeneration-related factors,such as type II collagen(COL-2),Aggrecan,matrix metallopeptidases-3(MMP-3),MMP-13,a disintegrin and metalloproteinase with thrombospondin motifs-4(ADAMTS-4)and ADAMTS-5 in rat nucleus pulpous cells.The level of IDD was analyzed through H&E,safranin-O staining and immunohistochemistry in rabbit samples.In vitro,we found that ASP-Lip@GelMA treatment significantly decreased inflammatory cytokines,MMP-3 and-13,and ADAMTS-4 and-5 and up-regulated COL-2 and Aggrecan via the inhibited release of HMGB-1 from the nucleus.In vivo,ASP-Lip@GelMA can effectively inhibit inflammation of local tissue after disc surgery and fill local tissue defects.This composite hydrogel system is a promising way to treat the recurrence of IDD after surgery without persistent complications. | Yu Liu Jiacheng Du Peng Peng Ruoyu Cheng Jiayi Lin Congxin Xu Huilin Yang Wenguo Cui Haiqing Mao Yuling Li Dechun Geng | 2021 | Bioactive Materials2021,6,1: | 6 |
| 2 | Oscillating Cellulase Adsorption and Enhanced Lignocellulose Hydrolysis upon Ultrasound Treatment显示文摘We investigated the effects of ultrasound treatment on cellulase adsorption and lignocellulose hydrolysis.The activity of cellulase remained constant upon lowpower ultrasound treatment(<120 W) and decreased using high-power ultrasound(>280 W).Oscillating cellulase adsorption occurred upon ultrasound treatment with any intensity.The maxima for desorption and adsorption were41.9 and 83.1%,respectively,during 1 h of 90 W ultrasound treatment at 50 °C.A comparison between the shorttime with long-time ultrasound experiments indicated that ultrasound treatment tended to desorb cellulase from substrate.However,ultrasound treatment also led to further surface erosion of biomass,which increased cellulase accessibility.These joint actions of ultrasound treatment induced the oscillating adsorption of cellulase.The increase in cellulase accessibility caused by ultrasound treatment led to a significant enhancement in lignocellulose hydrolysis. | Rongxin Su Renjun Yang Yang Jifeng Ruoyu Du Renliang Huang Wei Qi Zhimin He | 2017 | Transactions of Tianjin University2017,23,1: | 3 |

| 4 | Brain Emotional Oscillatory Activity for Anger Revealed by Event-Related Spectral Perturbation显示文摘In order to find out the special cognitive emotional information to reach good accuracy in the recognition of anger emotions, the brain emotional oscillatory activity induced by relaxation and anger affective pictures is investigated in the amplitude measurement. A visual evoked affective experiment is designed and carried out to collect the electroencephalogram(EEG)data labeled with anger and relaxation emotion states. Twenty-one healthy college students(female 9, male 12) are employed to stimulate emotion by different affective pictures. Event-Related Spectral Perturbation(ERSP) is used to discover the pronounced features of anger tendency prediction in the time-frequency domain. ERSP maps exhibit that there is a difference between the female and male group, which is statistically significant within the 150-250 ms and 350-450 ms time range of alpha band. However,the assignment of the weight of the base classifier usually lacks decision-makingevidence. In this paper, we propose a protein secondary structure prediction method withdynamic self-adaptation combination strategy based on entropy, where the weights areassigned according to the entropy of posterior probabilities outputted by base classifiers.The higher entropy value means a lower weight for the base classifier. The final structureprediction is decided by the weighted combination of posterior probabilities.
