2A New Approach to Measurement of Regional Inequality in Particular Directions显示文摘Regional inequality is a core issue in geography,and it can be measured by several approaches and indexes.However,the global inequality measures can not reflect regional characteristics in terms of spatiality and non-mobility,as well as correctly explore regional inequality in particular directions.Although conventional between-group inequality indexes can measure the inequality in particular directions,they can not reflect the reversals of regional patterns and changes of within-group patterns.Therefore,we set forth a new approach to measure regional inequality in particular directions,which is applicable to geographic field.Based on grouping,we established a new index to measure regional inequality in particular directions named Particular Direction Inequality index(PDI index),which is comprised of between-group inequality of all data and between-group average gap.It can reflect regional spatiality and non-mobility,judge the main direction of regional inequality,and capture the changes and reversals of regional patterns.We used the PDI index to measure the changes of regional inequality from 1952 to 2009 in China.The results show that:1) the main direction of China's regional inequality was between coastal areas and inland areas;the increasing extent of inequality between coastal areas and inland areas was higher than the global inequality;2) the PDI index can measure the between-region average gap,and is more sensitive to evolution of within-region patterns;3) the inequality between the northern China and the southern China has been decreasing from 1952 to 2009 and was reversed in 1994 and 1995.WANG Yang FANG Chuanglin XIU Chunliang LIU Daqian 2012Chinese Geographical Science2012,22,6:17

4Spatiotemporal Variations and Influencing Factors Analysis of PM_(2.5) Concentrations in Jilin Province,Northeast China显示文摘High PM_(2.5) concentrations and frequent air pollution episodes during late autumn and winter in Jilin Province have attracted attention in recent years. To describe the spatial and temporal variations of PM_(2.5) concentrations and identify the decisive influencing factors, a large amount of continuous daily PM_(2.5) concentration data collected from 33 monitoring stations over 2-year period from 2015 to 2016 were analyzed. Meanwhile, the relationships were investigated between PM_(2.5) concentrations and the land cover, socioeconomic and meteorological factors from the macroscopic perspective using multiple linear regressions(MLR) approach. PM_(2.5) concentrations across Jilin Province averaged 49 μg/m^3, nearly 1.5 times of the Chinese annual average standard, and exhibited seasonal patterns with generally higher levels during late autumn and over the long winter than the other seasons. Jilin Province could be divided into three kinds of sub-regions according to 2-year average PM_(2.5) concentration of each city. Most of the spatial variation in PM_(2.5) levels could be explained by forest land area, cultivated land area, urban greening rate, coal consumption and soot emissions of cement manufacturing. In addition, daily PM_(2.5) concentrations had negative correlation with daily precipitation and positive correlation with air pressure for each city, and the spread and dilution effect of wind speed on PM_(2.5) was more obvious at mountainous area in Jilin Province. These results indicated that coal consumption, cement manufacturing and straw burning were the most important emission sources for the high PM_(2.5) levels, while afforestation and urban greening could mitigate particulate air pollution. 5A newly discovered role ofmetabolic enzyme PCK1 as a protein kinase to promote cancer lipogenesis显示文摘Lipid metabolism,in particular fatty acid and cholesterol synthesis,is essential to convert nutrients into metabolic intermediates for membrane biosynthesis,energy storage and the generation of signaling molecules.Tumor cells maintain high level of lipid metabolism for rapid cell proliferation[1-4].Transcription of genes required for fatty acid and cholesterol synthesis and cholesterol uptake is controlled by membrane-bound transcription factor sterol regulatory element-binding proteins(SREBPs),including SREBP-1a,SREBP-1c/ADD1 and SREBP-2 isoforms[5].The function of SREBPs is mainly regulated by an escort protein(the SREBP cleavage-activating protein[SCAP])and endoplasmic reticulum(ER)anchor proteins(insulininduced genes[Insigs]),during the feedback loop of cholesterol synthesis[6-8].Under sterol-depleted conditions,SCAP and SREBPs complex is captured by COPIImediated vesicles and transported from the ER to the Golgi apparatus[7,9],where the SREBPs are proteolytically processed by Site-1 protease(S1P)and Site-2 protease(S2P)to yield active amino-terminal fragments that enter the nucleus for gene transcription[10,11].Under high intracellular sterol conditions,abundant cholesterol in the ER membrane binds to SCAP,induces its conformational change,and enables it to bind to Insigs.Hongfei Jiang Lei Zhu Daqian Xu Zhimin Lu 2020Cancer Communications2020,40,9:6

7Optimization of PGNAA set-up for the elements detection in aqueous solution显示文摘A prompt gamma neutron activation analysis(PGNAA)set-up was developed for the elements detection in aqueous solution,which includes a 241Am-Be neutron source and a 4-inch BGO detector.The geometry of set-up is determined by a series of simulations with the MOCA code to improve the efficiency of the elements detection.The thermal neutron flux and the gamma-ray self-absorption are considered during the optimization calculations.Experiments were performed to validate the set-up using samples including chlorine and mercury,respectively.The result shows that the characteristic peak count has linear relationship with the chlorine and mercury concentration changing.The minimum detectable concentrations of chlorine and mercury were found as 54 mg/L and 51.4 mg/L,respectively.JIA WenBao HEI DaQian CHENG Can ZHANG HaoJia SHAN Qing 2014Science China(Technological Sciences)2014,57,3:5
8A new distance correction method for sulfur analysis in coal using online XRF measurement system显示文摘When X-ray fluorescence(XRF)technology is used to measure the sulfur concentration in coal online,the measurement accuracy is affected by the coal’s uneven surface and the particle size.In order to improve the accuracy of sulfur concentration measurement,an online measurement system,consisting of a portable X-ray fluorescence instrument and an auxiliary distance correction module,was developed in this paper.By measuring the standard coal samples of known sulfur concentration,we obtained a calibration curve that can be used to analyze the sulfur concentration.We studied the relationship between the X-ray fluorescence intensity(I)and the distance(D)from surfaces to instrument.The results showed that there was a good linear relationship between I and D when the sulfur content was certain.Based on these knowledge,the distance correction formula of X-ray fluorescence intensity was proposed.By applying the distance correction formula to experimental sulfur concentration measurement,we demonstrated that the measurement accuracy can be significantly increased.JIA WenBao ZHANG Yan GU ChenGuang HEI DaQian LING YongShen SHAN Qing 2014Science China(Technological Sciences)2014,57,1:4
9Effects of Alloying Elements on Microstructure and Erosion Resistance of Fe-C-Cr Weld Surfacing Layer显示文摘Effects of alloying elements on microstructure and erosion resistance of Fe-C-Cr weld surfacing layer have been studied. The experimental results show that increasing C and Cr content favors improving the erosion resistance of the layer, and the excessive C and Cr result in decreasing the erosion resistance at 90 deg. erosion. That Mo, Nb or Ti improves the erosion resistance of Fe-C-Cr weld surfacing layer is mainly attributed to increasing the amount of M7C3 and forming fine NbC or TiC in austenite matrix, but the excessive Mo, Nb or Ti is unfavorable. 11Smarter and Cleaner: The Digital Economy and Environmental Pollution显示文摘The ongoing diffusion of digital technology into socio-economic activity has triggered hopes of minimizing environmental pollution.This research aimed to investigate the relationship between the digital economy and the intensity of SO_(2),pollutant emissions and to examine the mechanism that explains how digitalization leads to the reduction of pollutants from the perspective of environmental regulations.We applied the criteria importance through intercriteria correlation approach to construct a comprehensive index system to measurethedigital economy in China.Then weexamined the correlation between the digital economy and SO_(2),pollution intensity.To analyze the mechanism,we investigated the moderating effect of environmental regulations and also took macroscopic mechanisms(such as innovation and industrial structure)into consideration.Our empirical results indicated that the digital economy had a negative effect on SO_(2),pollution intensity.The negative impact was greater for medium-sized provinces with abundant resources in eastern and southern China.We also found that environmental regulations(e.g.,environmental legislation and environmental penalties)moderated the impact of the digital economy on SO_(2),pollution intensity,and the same was true for several macro mechanisms(e.g.,innovation,industrial structure,and labor productivity,etc.).This has implications for how thegovernment implements environmental regulations inthefuture.Qianqian Wan Daqian Shi 2022China & World Economy2022,30,6:2

18Gastrin attenuates sepsis-induced myocardial dysfunction by down-regulation of TLR4 expression in macrophages显示文摘Myocardial dysfunction is the most serious complication of sepsis.Sepsis-induced myocardial dysfunction(SMD)is often associated with gastrointestinal dysfunction,but its pathophysiological significance remains unclear.The present study found that patients with SMD had higher plasma gastrin concentrations than those without SMD.In mice,knockdown of the gastrin receptor,cholecystokinin B receptor(Cckbr),aggravated lipopolysaccharide(LPS)-induced cardiac dysfunction and increased inflammation in the heart,whereas the intravenous administration of gastrin ameliorated SMD and cardiac injury.Macrophage infiltration plays a significant role in SMD because depletion of macrophages by the intravenous injection of clodronate liposomes,48 h prior to LPS administration,alleviated LPSinduced cardiac injury in Cckbr-deficient mice.The intravenous injection of bone marrow macrophages(BMMs)overexpressing Cckbr reduced LPS-induced myocardial dysfunction.Furthermore,gastrin treatment inhibited toll-like receptor 4(TLR4)expression through the peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor a(PPAR-a)signaling pathway in BMMs.Thus,our findings provide insights into the mechanism of the protective role of gastrin/CCKBR in SMD,which could be used to develop new treatment modalities for SMD.Dandong Fang Yu Li Bo He Daqian Gu Mingming Zhang Jingwen Guo Hongmei Ren Xinyue Li Ziyue Zhang Ming Tang Xingbing Li Donghai Yang Chunmei Xu Yijie Hu Hongyong Wang Pedro AJose Yu Han Chunyu Zeng 2023Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2023,13,9:1
19Spatial Patterns of Car Sales and Their Socio-economic Attributes in China显示文摘Using data from the Economic Advisory Center of the State Information Center(SIC), we examined the spatial patterns of car sales in China at the prefectural level in 2012. We first analyzed the spatial distributions of car sales of different kinds of automakers(foreign automakers, Sino-foreign joint automakers, and Chinese automakers), and then identified spatial clusters using the local Moran's indexes. Location quotient analysis was applied to examine the relative advantage of each type of automaker in the local markets. To explain the variations of car sales across cities, we collected several socioeconomic variables and conducted regression analyses. Further, factor analysis was used to extract independent variables to avoid the problem of multicollinearity. By incorporating a spatial lag or spatial error in the models, we calibrated our spatial regression models to address the spatial dependence problem. The analytical results show that car sales varied significantly across cities in China, and most of the cities with higher car sales were the developed cities. Different automakers exhibit diverse spatial patterns in terms of car sales volume, spatial clusters, and location quotients. The scale and incomes factor were extracted and verified as the two most significant and positive factors that shape the spatial distributions of car sales, and together with the spatial effect, explained most of the variations of car sales across cities.LIU Daqian LO Kevin SONG Wei XIE Chunyan 2017Chinese Geographical Science2017,27,5:1
