2Effects of complexing agents on acidic electroless nickel deposition显示文摘Our previous study reported the influences of different complexing agents on electroless nickel(EN) by examining the properties of the deposits.In the present work,the effects of four common-used complexing agents on EN deposition rate and the stability of solution pH values were examined,either with an acetic pH buffer agent or absent of them.It is indicated that the pH buffering effect of them is dominative when the EN solution is lack of the pH buffer.Under this situation,the EN deposition rate increases with the concentration of complexing agents increasing.The EN deposition rate decreases with further adding the complexing agent when the solution already has enough pH buffer capability.Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy obtained during EN deposition illustrates that,in this case,the enhanced reaction resistance is the main reason for a lower deposition rate.However,the influence of polarization caused by mass transfer is not negligible at high complex ratio for sodium citrate and malic acid EN solutions.JIN Ying YU Hongying YANG Dejun SUN Dongbai 2010Rare Metals2010,29,4:6
3Haplotype variations in QTL for salt tolerance in Chinese wheat accessions identified by marker-based and pedigree-based kinship analyses显示文摘Most modern wheat cultivars were selected on the basis of yield-related indices measured under optimal fertilizer and irrigation inputs.With climate change,land degradation and salinity caused by sea water encroachment,wheat is increasingly subjected to environmental stress.Moreover,expanding urbanization increasingly encroaches upon prime agricultural land in countries like China,and alternative cropping areas must be found.Some of these areas have moderate constraining factors,such as salinity.Therefore,it is important to investigate whether current genetic materials and breeding procedures are maintaining adequate variability to address future problems caused by abiotic stress.In this study,a panel of 307 wheat accessions,including local landraces,exotic cultivars used in Chinese breeding programs and Chinese cultivars released during different periods since1940,were subjected to a genome-wide association study to dissect the genetic basis of salinity tolerance.Both marker-based and pedigree-based kinship analyses revealed that favorable haplotypes were introduced in some exotic cultivars as well as a limited number of Chinese landraces from the 1940 s.However,improvements in salinity tolerance during modern breeding are not as obvious as that of yield.To broaden genetic diversity for increasing salt tolerance,there is a need to refocus attention on local landraces that have high degrees of salinity tolerance and carry rare favorable alleles that have not been exploited in breeding.Shizhou Yu Jianhui Wu Meng Wang Weiming Shi Guangmin Xia Jizeng Jia Zhensheng Kang Dejun Han 2020The Crop Journal2020,8,6:4
4Green Synthesis of Magnetic Adsorbent Using Groundwater Treatment Sludge for Tetracycline Adsorption显示文摘Groundwater treatment sludge is an industrial waste that is massively produced from groundwater treatment plants.Conventional methods for treatment of this sludge,such as discharge into deep wells or the sea,or disposal at landfills,are not environmentally sustainable.Here,we demonstrate an alternative strategy to recycle the sludge by preparing a magnetic maghemite adsorbent via a one-step hydrothermal method with NaOH solution as the only solvent.With this method,the weakly magnetized sludge,which contained 33.2%iron(Fe)and other impurities(e.g.,silicon(Si),aluminum(Al),and manganese(Mn)),was converted to magnetic adsorbent(MA)with the dissolution of Si/Al oxides(e.g.,quartz and albite)into the liquid fraction.At a NaOH concentration of 2 mol L^-1,approximately 18.1%of the ferrihydrite in the Fe oxides of the sludge was converted into 11.2%maghemite and 6.9%hematite after the hydrothermal treatment.MA2(i.e.,MA produced by a 2 mol L^-1 NaOH concentration)exhibited a good magnetic response of 8.2 emu g^-1(1 emu=10^-3 A m^2),and a desirable surface site concentration of 0.75 mmol g^-1.The synthesized MA2 was used to adsorb the cationic pollutant tetracycline(TC).The adsorption kinetics of TC onto MA2 fitted well with a pseudo-second-order model,and the adsorption isotherms complied well with the Langmuir model.The maximum adsorption capacity of MA2 for TC was 362.3 mg g^-1,and the main mechanism for TC adsorption was cationic exchange.This study is the first to demonstrate the preparation of an MA from recycled sludge without a reductant and/or exogenous Fe source.The prepared adsorbent can be used as a low-cost adsorbent with high capacity for TC sorption in the treatment of TC-containing wastewater.Zhan Qu Yaqiong Wu Suiyi Zhu Yang Yu Mingxin Huo Leilei Zhang Jiakuan Yang Dejun Bian Yi Wang 2019Engineering2019,5,5:2
5SNP-based linkage mapping for validation of adult plant stripe rust resistance QTL in common wheat cultivar Chakwal 86显示文摘Wheat crops in China are constantly challenged by stripe rust. Deployment of cultivars with diverse resistances is the best strategy to control the disease. A recombinant inbred line(RIL) population derived from a cross between the resistant cultivar Chakwal 86 and susceptible landrace Mingxian 169 was studied in multiple environments to examine the underlying genetics and to identify quantitative trait loci(QTL) for stripe rust resistance.One hundred and twenty-eight RILs were genotyped with wheat 35 K SNP array and a genome-wide linkage map with 1480 polymorphic SNP markers, or bins, was constructed.Two major QTL on chromosomes 1BL and 3BS, and one minor QTL on 6BS had significant effects in reducing stripe rust severity. The QTL were validated using composite interval mapping(CIM) and inclusive composite interval mapping(ICIM). These methods explained59.0%–74.1% of the phenotype variation in disease response. The QTL on chromosome 1 BL was confirmed to be Yr29/Lr46 and the one on 3BS was the resistance allele identified in CIMMYT germplasm but was not Yr30/Sr2. The QTL on 6BS probably corresponded to previously known QTL. RILs with combined QTL were more resistant than those with single or no QTL. Kompetitive allele-specific PCR(KASP) assays for the QTL with largest effect QTL on chromosome 3BS were performed on a subset of RILs and 150 unrelated wheat lines. 9A Multi-Flow Information Flow Tracking Approach for Proving Quantitative Hardware Security Properties显示文摘Information Flow Tracking(IFT)is an established formal method for proving security properties related to confidentiality,integrity,and isolation.It has seen promise in identifying security vulnerabilities resulting from design flaws,timing channels,and hardware Trojans for secure hardware design.However,existing IFT methods tend to take a qualitative approach and only enforce binary security properties,requiring strict non-interference for the properties to hold while real systems usually allow a small amount of information flows to enable desirable interactions.Consequently,existing methods are inadequate for reasoning about quantitative security properties or measuring the security of a design in order to assess the severity of a security vulnerability.In this work,we propose two multi-flow solutions—multiple verifications for replicating existing IFT model and multi-flow IFT method.The proposed multi-flow IFT method provides more insight into simultaneous information flow behaviors and allows for proof of quantitative information flow security properties,such as diffusion,randomization,and boundaries on the amount of simultaneous information flows.Experimental results show that our method can be used to prove a new type of information flow security property with verification performance benefits.Yu Tai Wei Hu Lu Zhang Dejun Mu Ryan Kastner 2021Tsinghua Science and Technology2021,26,1:1

20Electrolyte induced synergistic construction of cathode electrolyte interphase and capture of reactive free radicals for safer high energy density lithium-ion battery显示文摘As the energy density of battery increases rapidly,lithium-ion batteries(LIBs)are facing serious safety issue with thermal runaway,which largely limits the large-scale applications of high-energy-density LIBs.It is generally agreed that the chemical crosstalk between the cathode and anode leads to thermal runaway of LIBs.Herein,a multifunctional high safety electrolyte is designed with synergistic construction of cathode electrolyte interphase and capture of reactive free radicals to limit the intrinsic pathway of thermal runaway.The cathode electrolyte interphase not only resists the gas attack from the anode but suppresses the parasitic side reactions induced by electrolyte.And the function of free radical capture has the ability of reducing heat release from thermal runaway of battery.The dual strategy improves the intrinsic safety of battery prominently that the triggering temperature of thermal runaway is increased by 24.4℃and the maximum temperature is reduced by 177.7℃.Simultaneously,the thermal runaway propagation in module can be self-quenched.Moreover,the electrolyte design balances the trade-off of electrochemical and safety performance of high-energy batteries.The capacity retention of LiNi_(0.8)Co_(0.1)Mn_(0.1)O_(2)|graphite pouch cell has been significantly increased from 53.85%to 97.05%with higher coulombic efficiency of 99.94%at operating voltage extended up to 4.5 V for 200 cycles.Therefore,this work suggests a feasible strategy to mitigate the safety risk of high-energy-density LIBs without sacrificing electrochemical performances.Mengfei Ding Xuning Feng Yong Peng Jing Jing Tong Bowen Hou Yalan Xing Weifeng Zhang Li Wang Yu Wu Jiabin Lv Chunyan Luo Dejun Xiong Shichao Zhang Minggao Ouyang 2023Journal of Energy Chemistry2023,,12:0
