1Geochemical changes across the Ordovician-Silurian transition on the Yangtze Platform,South China显示文摘The trace element and rare earth element(REE) variations across the Ordovician-Silurian succession are presented from two outcrop sections on the Yangtze Platform:the Nanbazi section,Guizhou Province,deposited in a shallow platform interior setting,and the Wangjiawan section,Hubei Province,deposited in a deeper basinal environment.Geochemical analysis of closely spaced samples through three intervals,the Wufeng,Guanyinqiao and Longmaxi,revealed vast palaeoceanographic changes.Some geochemical proxies,including Th/U,Ni/Co,V/Cr,and V/(V+Ni) ratios,together with sedimentary facies and biotic data,indicate that an anoxic condition on the most of the Yangtze Platform during the Wufeng and Longmaxi intervals,but an oxic condition during the Guanyinqiao time.The shift of the anoxic to the oxic environment during the Guanyinqiao time coincided with a global sea-level lowstand,in parallel with the global glaciation.The Longmaxian anoxic environment was a result of a global sea-level rise,which may be synchronized with a mainly catastrophic event in the latest Ordovician.Although the two sections generally show similar variation patterns of trace and REE concentrations and some element ratios,a minor difference occurs between the Wangjiawan and Nanbazi sections,likely reflecting a difference in depositional setting during the accumulation.Such an oceanic oxygen-level variation may add a useful constraint to the current arguments on the cause and consequence of the latest Ordovician mass extinction.YAN DeTian CHEN DaiZhao WANG QingChen WANG JianGuo 2009Science China Earth Sciences2009,52,1:17
2In-situ lunar dust deposition amount induced by lander landing in Chang’E-3 mission显示文摘China first in-situ lunar dust experiment is performed by a lunar dust detector in Chang’E-3 mission. The existed dust(less than 20 μm in diameter) properties, such as levitation, transportation and adhesion, are critical constraints for future lunar exploration program and even manned lunar exploration. Based on the problems discussed above, the in-situ lunar dust detector is originally designed to characterize dust deposition properties induced by lander landing as a function of environmental temperature, solar incident angle and orbit short circuit current on the northern Mare Imbrium, aiming to study lunar dust deposition properties induced by lander landing in depth. This paper begins with a brief of introduction of Chang’E-3 lunar dust detector design,followed by a series of experimental analysis of this instrument under different influencing factors, and concludes with lunar dust mass density deposition amount observed on the first lunar day is about 0.83 mg/cm^2, which is less than that observed in Apollo 11 mission because the landing site of Chang’E-3 has the youngest mare basalts comparing with previous Apollo and lunar landing sites. 5Geochemistry of the Middle to Late Permian limestones from the marginal zone of an isolated platform(Laibin,South China)显示文摘Major,trace and rare earth elements were measured in 27 samples of the Middle to Late Permian limestones from the Tieqiao section located on the marginal zone of an isolated platform(Laibin,South China).Shale-normalized REE+Y patterns of all samples show notably negative Ce anomalies(0.21–0.66,average 0.33),slightly positive Gd anomalies(1.08–1.30,average1.20),and positive Y anomalies with superchondritic Y/Ho ratios(36–91,average 55),which are consistent with those of modern shallow seawater.Their relative LREEs enrichment with higher NdSN/YbSN ratios(0.58–1.80)than those of modern shallow seawater(0.21–0.50)suggests complicated sources of REEs for all samples.Compared with geochemical features of sediments influenced by terrigenous particles and hydrothermal fluids,it is concluded that ambient shallow seawater was the primary source of REEs in these limestones.Comparing the indicators of REE+Y elements(REE,NdSN/YbSN,Ce/Ce*,Gd/Gd*,Eu/Eu*and Y/Ho)in limestones with those in bedded cherts from the Tieqiao section,we consider that limestone and bedded chert have similar sources of REE+Y elements:ambient shallow seawater with more or less hydrothermal fluids.In addition,there is a completely negative correlation between CaCO3and SiO2contents in limestones and bedded cherts.These results imply that precipitation of CaCO3was inhibited by that of SiO2which was derived mainly from hydrothermal fluid,especially in bedded cherts from the Tieqiao section.QIU Zhen WANG QingChen YAN DeTian 2013Science China Earth Sciences2013,56,10:2

9Development background of Mesozoic high-quality source rocks: Evidence from microfossils in North Carnarvon Basin, Australia显示文摘Based on numerous microfossils in Mesozoic of North Carnarvon Basin in Australia,the Mesozoic paleoclimate and paleoenvironment were analyzed,the paleogeographic background and development model of Mesozoic high-quality source rocks were investigated and discussed.Variation of microfossil species and their relative contents in Mesozoic different intervals indicates changes of paleoclimate and paleoenvironment.The paleoclimate shows a cycle variation of aridehumidearidehumid,the regression occurred in the Early TriassiceLate Triassic and the transgression occurred in the Late TriassiceLate Cretaceous.Four sedimentary facieses including delta facies,littoral facies,restricted sea facies and open sea facies were developed in the Mesozoic.The open sea was mainly developed in the Early Triassic,the delta was distributed in the MiddleeLate Triassic,the restricted sea was especially well developed in the Jurassic,and the restricted sea and open sea were mainly distributed in the Cretaceous.Characteristics of microfossil assemblage in these four sedimentary facies are dramatically different.From the delta facies,littoral facies,restricted sea facies to open sea facies,content of pollen gradually decreases,but content of the dinoflagellate+acritarch gradually increases.The delta facies and littoral facies are dominated by the pollen.In the restricted sea facies,content of the pollen is equivalent to that of the dinoflagellate+acritarch.The open sea facies is dominated by the dinoflagellate and acritarch.Supply of sediment and formation of organic matter are influenced by the paleoclimate and paleoenvironment,and type of organic matter is controlled by the microfossil assemblage.Based on the palaeogeographic background,paleoclimatic condition and microfossil assemblage,two developmental models of the Mesozoic source rocks such as the development model of terrestrial organic matter under the background of large delta and the development model of mixed organic matter under the background of the restricted sea,were proposed.Xing Niu Xianghua Yang Detian Yan Xinguo Zhuang Bo Wang Shenjun Huo Xiaoming Xu 2019Petroleum Research2019,4,1:1
10Pore Structure and Multi-Scale Fractal Characteristics of Adsorbed Pores in Marine Shale:A Case Study of the Lower Silurian Longmaxi Shale in the Sichuan Basin,China显示文摘Exploration practice indicates that free gas is the key to the large-scale development of shale gas,while adsorbed gas is also of great significance to the sustainable development of shale gas,and thus systematic researches on absorbed pores are needed.To date,researches on pore structure and multi-scale fractal characteristics of absorbed pores in marine shale are obviously insufficient,limited the understanding of gas production behavior from shale reservoir.In this study,total organic carbon(TOC),X-ray diffraction(XRD),CH_(4) adsorption,field emission electron microscopy(FE-SEM),and low temperature gas(i.e.,CO_(2)and N_(2))adsorption/desorption analyses were conducted on 10 continuously core samples from the Lower Silurian Longmaxi shale in the Fuling region of Sichuan Basin,China.The results indicate that the TOC content of marine shale samples changes from 0.95%to 4.55%with an average of 2.62%,showing an increasing trend with the increase of burial depth;moreover,quartz and clay are the dominated mineral compositions in marine shale,and they show a certain negative correlation.FE-SEM analysis indicates that almost all pore types in marine shale are related to organic matter(OM).Hysteresis loops of marine shale samples mainly belong to Type H2,further indicating that the pores in marine shale are mainly ink-bottle pores(i.e.,OM pores);moreover,adsorption isotherms obtained from CO_(2)adsorption data all belong to typeⅠ,indicating microporous properties for all shale samples.Comprehensive analysis indicates that pore volume and pore surface area of adsorbed pores(<300 nm)is mainly provided by the pores within the pore range of 0.6–0.7,0.80–0.85,and 1.7–5.0 nm.Based on the micropore filling model and the Frenkel-Halsey-Hill(FHH)model,multiscale fractal dimensions(D1,D2,and D3)are calculated from gas adsorption data(i.e.,CO_(2)and N_(2)),corresponding to part of micropore(0.6–1.1 nm),small-mesopore(1.7–5.0 nm),big-mespore and part of macropore(5.0–300 nm),respectively.Relationships between shale compositions,pore structure,and fractal dimensions(D1,D2,and D3)indicate that pore structure and multi-scale fractal characteristics of absorbed pores in marine shale are obviously influenced by the contents of TOC and quartz,while clay minerals have little effect on them.Comprehensive analysis indicates that the complexity of marine shale pores within the range of 0.6–1.1 and 1.7–5.0 nm has significant effects on CH_(4) adsorbability,while the larger pores(5.0–300 nm)almost have no effect.Haijiao Fu Detian Yan Chenpeng Yao Xianbo Su Xiaoming Wang Hu Wang Yueguo Li 2022Journal of Earth Science2022,33,5:1

12Comparative DNA-methylome and transcriptome analysis reveals heterosis-and polyploidy-associated epigenetic changes in rice显示文摘Heterosis and polyploidy have an overwhelming influence on plant evolution.Recently,polyploid rice hybrids have been used to breed new rice varieties because they combine the advantages of both heterosis and polyploidy.In this study,we generated six rice lines:autotetraploid rice hybrids and their autotetraploid parents,diploid donors,and hybrids of the diploid donors.To investigate the molecular mechanism controlling the effects of both hybridization and polyploidization,we performed bisulfite and RNA sequencing on young panicles at the pollen meiosis stage to compare the DNA metabolomes and transcriptomes among the six rice lines.The hybrids lines were hypermethylated compared to their corresponding parents and the autotetraploid lines showed globally increased DNA methylation of their transposable elements compared to the diploid donors.The alteration in DNA methylation level corresponded to the differential gene expressions among the rice genotypes,suggesting that methylation changes induced by polyploidization and hybridization may affect gene expression.Groups of gene candidates were identified that may be associated with heterosis and polyploidy.Our results provide DNA information that can be used to investigate epigenetic modification during heterosis and polyploidy in rice.Xiaolan Rao Jun Ren Wei Wang Rongrong Chen Qian Xie Yanqing Xu Dongmei Li Zhaojian Song Yuchi He Detian Cai Pingfang Yang Shiyou Lyu Li Li Wei Liu Xianhua Zhang 2023The Crop Journal2023,11,2:0
