| 1 | Genome resequencing and transcriptome profiling reveal structural diversity and expression patterns of constitutive disease resistance genes in Huanglongbing-tolerant Poncirus trifoliata and its hybrids显示文摘Huanglongbing(HLB)is the most destructive bacterial disease of citrus worldwide.While most citrus varieties are susceptible to HLB,Poncirus trifoliata,a close relative of Citrus,and some of its hybrids with Citrus are tolerant to HLB.No specific HLB tolerance genes have been identified in P.trifoliata but recent studies have shown that constitutive disease resistance(CDR)genes were expressed at much higher levels in HLB-tolerant Poncirus hybrids and the expression of CDR genes was modulated by Candidatus Liberibacter asiaticus(CLas),the pathogen of HLB.The current study was undertaken to mine and characterize the CDR gene family in Citrus and Poncirus and to understand its association with HLB tolerance in Poncirus.We identified 17 CDR genes in two citrus genomes,deduced their structures,and investigated their phylogenetic relationships.We revealed that the expansion of the CDR family in Citrus seems to be due to segmental and tandem duplication events.Through genome resequencing and transcriptome sequencing,we identified eight CDR genes in the Poncirus genome(PtCDR1-PtCDR8).The number of SNPs was the highest in PtCDR2 and the lowest in PtCDR7.Most of the deletion and insertion events were observed in the UTR regions of Citrus and Poncirus CDR genes.PtCDR2 and PtCDR8 were in abundance in the leaf transcriptomes of two HLB-tolerant Poncirus genotypes and were also upregulated in HLB-tolerant,Poncirus hybrids as revealed by real-time PCR analysis.These two CDR genes seem to be good candidate genes for future studies of their role in citrus-CLas interactions. | Nidhi Rawat Brajendra Kumar Ute Albrecht Dongliang Du Ming Huang Qibin Yu Yi Zhang Yong-Ping Duan Kim D Bowman Fred G Gmitter Jr Zhanao Deng | 2017 | Horticulture Research2017,4,1: | 5 |
| 2 | Pharmacological and cardiovascular perspectives on the treatment of COVID-19 with chloroquine derivatives显示文摘The novel severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2(SARS-CoV-2)causes coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)and an ongoing severe pandemic.Curative drugs specific for COVID-19 are currently lacking.Chloroquine phosphate and its derivative hydroxychloroquine,which have been used in the treatment and prevention of malaria and autoimmune diseases for decades,were found to inhibit SARS-CoV-2 infection with high potency in vitro and have shown clinical and virologic benefits in COVID-19 patients.Therefore,chloroquine phosphate was first used in the treatment of COVID-19 in China.Later,under a limited emergencyuse authorizati on from the FDA,hydroxychloro quine in combi nation with azithromyci n was used to treat COVID-19 patie nts in the USA,although the mechanisms of the anti-COVID-19 effects remain unclear.Preliminary outcomes from clinical trials in several countries have gen erated con troversial results.The desperatio n to control the pan demic overrode the con cerns regardi ng the serious adverse effects of chloro quine derivatives and combi nation drugs,i ncluding lethal arrhythmias and cardiomyopathy.The risks of these treatments have become more complex as a result of findings that COVID-19 is actually a multisystem disease.While respiratory symptoms are the major clin ical man ifestati ons,cardiovascular abno rmalities,in eluding arrhythmias,myocarditis,heart failure,and ischemic stroke,have been reported in a significant number of COVID-19 patients.Patients with preexisting cardiovascular conditions(hypertension,arrhythmias,etc.)are at increased risk of severe COVID-19 and death.From pharmacological and cardiovascular perspectives,therefore,the treatment of COVID-19 with chloroquine and its derivatives should be systematically evaluated,and patients should be routinely monitored for cardiovascular conditions to prevent lethal adverse events. | Xiao-lei Zhang Zhuo-ming Li Jian-tao Ye Ji ng Lu Lingyu Linda Ye Chun-xiang Zhang Pei-qing Liu Dayue D Duan | 2020 | Acta Pharmacologica Sinica2020,41,11: | 3 |

| 5 | Hybrid dual-channel phototransistor based on ID t-Se and 2D ReS2 mixed-dimensional heterostructures显示文摘The com bination of mixed-dimensional semiconducti ng materials can provide additional freedom to construct integrated n anoscale electronic and optoelectronic devices with diverse functionalities. In this work, we report a high-performanee dual-channel phototransistor based on one-dimensional (1D)/two-dimensional (2D) trigonal selenium (t-Se)/ReS2 heterostructures grown by chemical vapor deposition. The injection and separati on efficie ncy of photoge nerated electro n-hole pairs can be greatly improved due to the high-quality in terfacial con tact betwee n t-Se nano belts and ReS2 films. Compared with bare ReS2 film devices, the dual-cha nnel phototra nsistor based on t-Se/ReS2 heterostructure exhibits considerable enhancement with the responsivity (R) and detectivity (D^*) up to 98 A·W^-1 and 6 x 10^10 Jones at 400 nm illumination with an in tensity of 1.7 mW·cm^-2, respectively. Besides, the respo nse time can also be reduced by three times of magnitude to less than 50 ms due to the type-11 band alignment at the in terface.
