2Carbon Dioxide Captured from Flue Gas by Modified Ca-based Sorbents in Fixed-bed Reactor at High Temperature显示文摘Four kinds of Ca-based sorbents were prepared by calcination and hydration reactions using different precursors: calcium hydroxide, calcium carbonate, calcium acetate monohydrate and calcium oxide. The CO2 absorption capacity of those sorbents was investigated in a fixed-bed reactor in the temperature range of 350-650℃. It was found that all of those sorbents showed higher capacity for CO2 absorption when the operating temperature higher than 450℃. The CaAc2-CaO sorbent showed the highest CO2 absorption capacity of 299mg·g-1. The morphology of those sorbents was examined by scanning electron microscope (SEM), and the changes of composition before and after carbonation were also determined by X-ray diffraction (XRD). Results indicated that those sorbents have the similar chemical compositions and crystalline phases before carbonation reaction [mainly Ca(OH)2], and CaCO3 is the main component after carbonation reaction. The SEM morphology shows clearly that the sorbent pores were filled with reaction products after carbonation reaction, and became much denser than before. The N2 adsorption-desorption isotherms indicated that the CaAc2-CaO and CaCO3-CaO sorbents have higher specific surface area, larger pore volume and appropriate pore size distribution than that of CaO-CaO and Ca(OH)2-CaO.YANG Lei YU Hongbing WANG Shengqiang WANG Haowen ZHOU Qibin 2013Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2013,21,2:8
3Dark matter direct search sensitivity of the PandaX-4T experiment显示文摘The Panda X-4T experiment, a 4-ton scale dark matter direct detection experiment, is being planned at the China Jinping Underground Laboratory. In this paper we present a simulation study of the expected background in this experiment. In a 2.8-ton fiducial mass and the signal region between 1-10 keV electron equivalent energy, the total electron recoil background is found to be 4.9 × 10^(-5) kg^(-1) d^(-1) keV^(-1). The nuclear recoil background in the same region is 2.8 × 10^(-7) kg^(-1) d^(-1) keV^(-1). 4Reprogramming of a defense signaling pathway in rough lemon and sweet orange is a critical element of the early response to‘Candidatus Liberibacter asiaticus’显示文摘Huanglongbing(HLB)in citrus infected by Candidatus Liberibacter asiaticus(CLas)has caused tremendous losses to the citrus industry.No resistant genotypes have been identified in citrus species or close relatives.Among citrus varieties,rough lemon(Citrus jambhiri)has been considered tolerant due to its ability to produce a healthy flush of new growth after infection.The difference between tolerance and susceptibility is often defined by the speed and intensity of a plant’s response to a pathogen,especially early defense responses.RNA-seq data were collected from three biological replicates of CLas-and mock-inoculated rough lemon and sweet orange at week 0 and 7 following infection.Functional analysis of the differentially expressed genes(DEGs)indicated that genes involved in the mitogen activated protein kinase(MAPK)signaling pathway were highly upregulated in rough lemon.MAPK induces the transcription of WRKY and other transcription factors which potentially turn on multiple defense-related genes.A Subnetwork Enrichment Analysis further revealed different patterns of regulation of several functional categories,suggesting DEGs with different functions were subjected to reprogramming.In general,the amplitude of the expression of defense-related genes is much greater in rough lemon than in sweet orange.A quantitative disease resistance response may contribute to the durable tolerance level to HLB observed in rough lemon.Qibin Yu Chunxian Chen Dongliang Du Ming Huang Jiqiang Yao Fahong Yu Ronald H Brlansky Frederick G.Gmitter Jr 2017Horticulture Research2017,4,1:5
5Genome resequencing and transcriptome profiling reveal structural diversity and expression patterns of constitutive disease resistance genes in Huanglongbing-tolerant Poncirus trifoliata and its hybrids显示文摘Huanglongbing(HLB)is the most destructive bacterial disease of citrus worldwide.While most citrus varieties are susceptible to HLB,Poncirus trifoliata,a close relative of Citrus,and some of its hybrids with Citrus are tolerant to HLB.No specific HLB tolerance genes have been identified in P.trifoliata but recent studies have shown that constitutive disease resistance(CDR)genes were expressed at much higher levels in HLB-tolerant Poncirus hybrids and the expression of CDR genes was modulated by Candidatus Liberibacter asiaticus(CLas),the pathogen of HLB.The current study was undertaken to mine and characterize the CDR gene family in Citrus and Poncirus and to understand its association with HLB tolerance in Poncirus.We identified 17 CDR genes in two citrus genomes,deduced their structures,and investigated their phylogenetic relationships.We revealed that the expansion of the CDR family in Citrus seems to be due to segmental and tandem duplication events.Through genome resequencing and transcriptome sequencing,we identified eight CDR genes in the Poncirus genome(PtCDR1-PtCDR8).The number of SNPs was the highest in PtCDR2 and the lowest in PtCDR7.Most of the deletion and insertion events were observed in the UTR regions of Citrus and Poncirus CDR genes.PtCDR2 and PtCDR8 were in abundance in the leaf transcriptomes of two HLB-tolerant Poncirus genotypes and were also upregulated in HLB-tolerant,Poncirus hybrids as revealed by real-time PCR analysis.These two CDR genes seem to be good candidate genes for future studies of their role in citrus-CLas interactions.Nidhi Rawat Brajendra Kumar Ute Albrecht Dongliang Du Ming Huang Qibin Yu Yi Zhang Yong-Ping Duan Kim D Bowman Fred G Gmitter Jr Zhanao Deng 2017Horticulture Research2017,4,1:5
6Mitochondrial genome sequences of Artemia tibetiana and Artemia urmiana:assessing molecular changes for high plateau adaptation显示文摘Brine shrimps,Artemia(Crustacea,Anostraca),inhabit hypersaline environments and have a broad geographical distribution from sea level to high plateaus.Artemia therefore possess significant genetic diversity,which gives them their outstanding adaptability.To understand this remarkable plasticity,we sequenced the mitochondrial genomes of two Artemia tibetiana isolates from the Tibetan Plateau in China and one Artemia urmiana isolate from Lake Urmia in Iran and compared them with the genome of a low-altitude Artemia,A.franciscana.We compared the ratio of the rate of nonsynonymous(Ka) and synonymous(Ks) substitutions(Ka/Ks ratio) in the mitochondrial protein-coding gene sequences and found that atp8 had the highest Ka/Ks ratios in comparisons of A.franciscana with either A.tibetiana or A.urmiana and that atp6 had the highest Ka/Ks ratio between A.tibetiana and A.urmiana.Atp6 may have experienced strong selective pressure for high-altitude adaptation because although A.tibetiana and A.urmiana are closely related they live at different altitudes.We identified two extended termination-associated sequences and three conserved sequence blocks in the D-loop region of the mitochondrial genomes.We propose that sequence variations in the D-loop region and in the subunits of the respiratory chain complexes independently or collectively contribute to the adaptation of Artemia to different altitudes.ZHANG HangXiao LUO QiBin SUN Jing LIU Fei WU Gang YU Jun WANG WeiWei 2013Science China(Life Sciences)2013,56,5:4
7Phylogenetic Analysis of Brine Shrimp (Artemia) in China Using DNA Barcoding显示文摘DNA barcoding is a powerful approach for characterizing species of organisms,especially those with almost identical morphological features,thereby helping to to establish phylogenetic relationships and reveal evolutionary histories. In this study,we chose a 648-bp segment of the mitochondrial gene,cytochrome c oxidase subunit 1 (COI),as a standard barcode region to establish phylogenetic relation-ships among brine shrimp (Artemia) species from major habitats around the world and further focused on the biodiversity of Artemia species in China,especially in the Tibetan Plateau. Samples from five major salt lakes of the Tibetan Plateau located at altitudes over 4,000 m showed clear differences from other Artemia pop-ulations in China. We also observed two consistent amino acid changes,153A/V and 183L/F,in the COI gene between the high and low altitude species in China. 8Genome-wide mapping of conserved microRNAs and their host transcripts in Tribolium castaneum显示文摘MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are endogenous 22-nt RNAs,which play important regulatory roles by post-transcriptional gene silencing. A computational strategy has been developed for the identification of conserved miRNAs based on features of known metazoan miRNAs in red flour beetle (Tribolium castaneum),which is regarded as one of the major laboratory models of arthropods. Among 118 putative miRNAs,47% and 53% of the predicted miRNAs from the red flour beetle are harbored by known protein-coding genes (intronic) and genes located outside (intergenic miRNA),respectively. There are 31 intronic miRNAs in the same transcriptional orientation as the host genes,which may share RNA polymerase Ⅱ and spliceosomal machinery with their host genes for their biogenesis. 9Expression of BpPIN is associated with IAA levels and the formation of lobed leaves in Betula pendula ’Dalecartica’显示文摘Auxin polar transport genes PIN(PINFORMED)determine the concentration gradient of auxin in plants.To understand the relationship between the development of different tissues in Betula pendula‘Dalecartica’,BpPIN gene expression and indole-3-acetic acid(IAA)content were analyzed using qRT-PCR,ELISA,and GUS staining.Gene expression of BpPIN genes and IAA levels in the leaves,buds,stems,xylem,and roots of B.pendula‘Dalecartica’and B.pendula as a control were measured.BpPIN1,BpPIN5 and BpPIN6 were upregulated during development in both species,suggesting a dominant role in the development of B.pendula‘Dalecartica’leaves.Moreover,BpPIN1 gene expression was positively associated with IAA levels during leaf,vein and petiole development in B.pendula‘Dalecartica’only.The correlation coefficient of the first three leaves was 0.69(P=0.04),while that of the first three petioles was 0.85(P=0.001).In addition,GUS staining of the pro-DR5::GUS transgenic line of cultivar was correlated with the results of BpPIN1 expression.Overall,these findings suggest that BpPIN1 is associated with the formation of lobed leaves in B.pendula‘Dalecartica’.Chang Qu Xiuyan Bian Rui Han Jing Jiang Qibin Yu Guifeng Liu 2020Journal of Forestry Research2020,31,1:3

11Performance Analysis of Cooling Wall of Supercritical CO_(2) Coal-Fired Plants显示文摘Using supercritical CO_(2)(S-CO_(2)) instead of water steam as heat transfer fluid for coal-fired power plants is another way to further improve the power generation efficiency. In this paper, a multi-field coupling model that integrates fluid flow, heat transfer and thermal stress is proposed to solve the complex problem. The effects of the key operating parameters on the performances of the cooling wall are numerically investigated. More details of the characteristics of fluid dynamics, thermal stress, pressure drop, coupled heat transfer and the whole flow and temperature fields in the S-CO_(2) cooling wall are revealed and discussed. A comparison study is made between the cooling wall tube and waterwall tube. Both temperature and thermal deformations of cooling wall tube are much higher than that of water. Numerical simulation results indicate that inclination angle has little effects on the temperature distribution, while increase of pressure drop is obvious as the inclination angle increases. Increasing tube diameter can effectively reduce both the pressure drop and the temperature of the cooling wall tube. 12Proteomic and metabolomic analyses provide insight into the off-flavour of fruits from citrus trees infected with‘Candidatus Liberibacter asiaticus’显示文摘Orange fruit from trees infected by‘Candidatus Liberibacter asiaticus’(CaLas)often do not look fully mature and exhibit off-flavours described as bitter,harsh,and metallic rather than juicy and fruity.Although previous studies have been carried out to understand the effect of CaLas on the flavour of orange juice using metabolomic methods,the mechanisms leading to the off-flavour that occurs in Huanglongbing(HLB)-symptomatic fruit are not well understood.In this study,fruits were collected from symptomatic and healthy Valencia sweet orange(Citrus sinensis)trees grafted on Swingle(C.paradisi X Poncirus trifoliata)rootstock.Isobaric tags for relative and absolute quantification(iTRAQ)and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry(GC-MS)were used to measure the proteins,sugars,organic acids,amino acids,and volatile terpenoids.The results showed that most of the differentially expressed proteins involved in glycolysis,the tricarboxylic acid(TCA)cycle and amino-acid biosynthesis were degraded,and terpenoid metabolism was significantly downregulated in the symptomatic fruit.Valencene,limonene,3-carene,linalool,myrcene,andα-terpineol levels were significantly lower in fruit from CaLas-infected trees than from healthy trees.Similar phenomena were observed for sucrose and glucose.Our study indicated that off-flavour of symptomatic fruit was associated with a reduction in the levels of terpenoid products and the downregulation of proteins in glycolysis,the TCA cycle,and the terpenoid biosynthesis pathway.Lixiao Yao Qibin Yu Ming Huang Weilun Hung Jude Grosser Shanchun Chen Yu Wang Frederick G.GmitterJr. 2019Horticulture Research2019,6,1:1
