| 2 | Coseismic vertical deformation of the M_S8.0 Wenchuan earthquake from repeated levelings and its constraint on listric fault geometry显示文摘The devastating MS8.0 Wenchuan earthquake ruptured two large parallel thrust faults along the middle segment of the Longmenshan thrust belt.Preseismic and postseismic leveling data indicated the hanging wall of the YingxiuBeichuan-Nanba thrust fault mainly presented coseismic uplift with respect to the reference point at Pingwu county town, and the observed maximum uplift of 4.7 m is located at Beichuan county(Qushan town)which is about 100 m west of the fault scarp.The foot wall of the Yingxiu-Beichuan-Nanba thrust fault mainly showed subsidence with maximum subsidence of 0.6 m near the rupture.By employing a listric dislocation model,we found that the fault geometry model of exponential dip angleδ=88°×[1-exp(-9/h)]with depth of 18 km and uniform thrust-slip of 5.6 m could fit the observed coseismic vertical deformation very well,which verifies the listric thrust model of the Longmenshan orogenic zone. | Qingliang Wang Duxin Cui Xi Zhang Wenping Wang Jinwen Liu Kang Tian Zhaoshan Song | 2009 | Earthquake Science2009，22，6： | 25 |
| 3 | Why 90%of clinical drug development fails and how to improve it?显示文摘Ninety percent of clinical drug development fails despite implementation of many successful strategies,which raised the question whether certain aspects in target validation and drug optimization are overlooked?Current drug optimization overly emphasizes potency/specificity using structure-activityrelationship(SAR)but overlooks tissue exposure/selectivity in disease/normal tissues using structure-tissue exposure/selectivity—relationship(STR),which may mislead the drug candidate selection and impact the balance of clinical dose/efficacy/toxicity.We propose structure-tissue exposure/selectivity—activity relationship(STAR)to improve drug optimization,which classifies drug candidates based on drug’s potency/selectivity,tissue exposure/selectivity,and required dose for balancing clinical efficacy/toxicity.ClassⅠdrugs have high specificity/potency and high tissue exposure/selectivity,which needs low dose to achieve superior clinical efficacy/safety with high success rate.ClassⅡdrugs have high specificity/potency and low tissue exposure/selectivity,which requires high dose to achieve clinical efficacy with high toxicity and needs to be cautiously evaluated.ClassⅢdrugs have relatively low(adequate)specificity/potency but high tissue exposure/selectivity,which requires low dose to achieve clinical efficacy with manageable toxicity but are often overlooked.ClassⅣdrugs have low specificity/potency and low tissue exposure/selectivity,which achieves inadequate efficacy/safety,and should be terminated early.STAR may improve drug optimization and clinical studies for the success of clinical drug development. | Duxin Sun Wei Gao Hongxiang Hu Simon Zhou | 2022 | Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2022，12，7： | 3 |

| 6 | Characteristics of Recent Horizontal Crustal Movement and Tectonic Deformation in the Northwest China Region显示文摘Making use of observation data of GPS in the Northwest China region and infrared distance-measurements crossing the Qilian-Longshoushan fault zone up to 2004, aided by the least square collocation and inversion of negative dislocation model for the boundaries of elastic blocks and the singular force-source, the dynamic evolution features of deformation and strain fields before and after the M_S=8.1 earthquake on the west of Kunlun Mountains Pass, especially the recent tectonic deformation and stress field status three years after this earthquake are studied. The possible regions or segments of active blocks and their boundaries reflecting accumulation background of high strain energy of producing earthquakes over middle magnitude, are obtained, as well as the potential epicenter. The results show that after short-term relaxation and adjustment in the northern margin of Qinghai-Xizang (Tibet) block after the M_S=8.1 earthquake, the main control action of background field of northeastward pushing of Indian plate is now recovering. Moreover, the following regions are found to have the background of high strain energy accumulation. They are the middle segment of the northern Tianshan fault zone and its meeting region with the western segment, the middle and western segments of southern Tianshan fault zone and the meeting region with Western Kunlun fault zone, the middle segment of Altun fault, the middle-eastern segment of Qilianshan fault zone and its meeting region with Haiyuan fault, the meeting region of northern margin fault of west Qinling Range and the southeastward expanding line of Zhuanglanghe fault; The Linze and Haiyuan areas also see accumulation of strain energy to some degree. | Zhang Xi Liu Wenyi Wang Shuangxu Wang Wenping Zhang Xiaoliang Cui Duxin Xue Fuping | 2006 | Earthquake Research in China2006，20，3： | 2 |
