| 3 | Genetic Basis of Ethylene Perception and Signal Transduction in Arabidopsis显示文摘Ethylene is a simple gaseous hormone in plants. It plays important roles in plant development and stress tolerance. In the presence of ethylene treatment, all ethylene receptors are in an activated form, which can physically interact with CTR1 and consequently recruit CTR1 protein to endoplasmic reticulum membrane to activate it. Activated CTR1 suppresses the downstream signal transduction by an unknown mechanism. Upon binding to its receptors, ethylene will inactivate the receptor/CTR1 module and in turn alleviate their inhibitory effect on two positive regulators acting downstream of CTR1: EIN2 and EIN3. Genetic study reveals that EIN2 is an essential component in the ethylene signaling pathway but its biochemical function remains a mystery. EIN3 is a plant-specific transcription factor and its protein abundance in the nucleus is rapidly induced upon ethylene treatment. In the absence of ethylene signal, EIN3 protein is degraded by an SCF complex containing one of the two F-box proteins EBF1/EBF2 in a 26S proteasome-dependent manner. EIN3 can bind to the promoter sequences of a number of downstream components, such as ERFs, which in turn bind to a GCC box, a cis-element found in many ethylene-regulated defense genes. | 4 | Effect of treatment course of comprehensive intervention with Traditional Chinese Medicine on mortality of acquired immunodeficiency syndrome patients treated with combined antiretroviral therapy显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To investigate the effect of a treatment course of comprehensive intervention with Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) on the mortality of patients with acquired immunodeficiency syndrome(AIDS) treated with combined antiretroviral therapy(c ART).METHODS:AIDS patients who had taken c ART in a national TCM human immunodeficiency virus treatment trial program(NTCMTP) before 2009 were enrolled in this study and followed for 36 months from November 2009.Patients enrolled in the NTCMTP in 2004 were taken as the first group,those enrolled in 2006 as the second group,and those enrolled in 2009 as the third group.Cumulative survival rates were calculated by the life table method.Survival curves for subgroups were compared by the log-rank test.Hazard ratios were calculated with a Cox proportional hazards model.RESULTS:A total of 1443 AIDS patients were followed for 3 years(4198 person-years).During this period,91(6.3%) patients died and 13(0.9%) were lost to follow-up.The total mortality rate was 2.17/100 person-years.The mortality rate of patients enrolled in the NTCMTP in 2004 was 1.49/100 person-years,which was lower than that of patients enrolled in 2006(2.23/100 person-years) and 2009(3.48/100 person-years).After adjusting for other factors,a shorter time of treatment with TCM,male sex,older age,lower CD4 + T-cell counts,and long-term treatment with c ART were risk factors of mortality.CONCLUSION:Long-term treatment with TCM decreased the mortality risk of AIDS patients.Factors such as being male,older age,CD4+ T-cell counts,and time of treatment with TCM and c ART were correlated with mortality. | Guo Huijun Wang Jian Li Zhengwei Jiang Ziqiang Xu Qianlei Xu Liran | 2016 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2016,36,4: | 9 |
| 5 | Survival of people living with HIV after treatment with Traditional Chinese Medicine in Henan province of China: a retrospective cohortstudy显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To provide survival estimates of people living with human immunodeficiency virus(PLHIV) after treatment with Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) in rural China, to identify the prognostic factors at enrollment, and to explore the effectiveness of TCM intreating PLHIV.METHODS: PLHIV who enrolled in national TCM HIV treatment trial program in October 2004 were analyzed in this study and followed up to October 2010. Survival time was estimated by the Kaplan-Meier curve and hazard ratios, and identifying prognostic factors were computed through Cox proportional hazard models.RESULTS:A total of 1666 PLHIV were included with 102 591 person-months of follow-up. Overall, 312(18.7%) patients died. The total mortality rate over the study period was 3.6 per 100 person-years,which was lower than the worldwide rate. The cumulative survival rate was 95.9% at 1 year[95% confidence interval(CI)(94.8-96.8)] and 80.4% at 6years [95% CI(78.4-82.3)]. Elevated death risks emerged among males, older individuals, and thosewithlowerCD4+T-cellcounts.CONCLUSION: TCM could increase survival and lengthen the life span of PLHIV in Henan province of China, as shown by our retrospective cohort study. Factors such as sex, age, education, and CD4+ T-cell counts correlated to survival. | 7 | Laboratory-based Surveillance and Clinical Profile of Sporadic HEV Infection in Shanghai,China显示文摘The study aimed to describe the epidemiological,virological and clinical features of sporadic HEV infection in eastern China.A total of 6112 patient sera were tested for anti-HEV IgG or anti-HEV IgM during one consecutive year(between August 2018 and July 2019).HEV RNA presence was evaluated by RT-PCR and HEV sequences were phylogenetically analyzed.Clinical features of confirmed HEV-infected patients were delineated.The sero-positivity rate of anti-HEV IgG maintained stable around 40%,while an obvious winter spike of anti-HEV IgM prevalence was observed.A total of 111 patients were confirmed of HEV viremia by molecular diagnosis.Subtype 4d was predominant.Phylogenetic analyses suggest that certain strains circulate across species and around the country.Subjects with confirmed current HEV infection had a high median age(58 years)and males were predominant(62.2%).Most patients presented with jaundice(75.7%)and anorexia(68.0%).Significantly elevated levels of liver enzymes and bilirubin were observed.Remarkably,the baseline bilirubin level was positively correlated with illness severity.Pre-existing HBV carriage may deteriorate illness.The clinical burden caused by locally acquired HEV infection is increasing.Surveillance should be enforced especially during the transition period from winter to spring.Patients with higher level of bilirubin at disease onset had slower recovery from HEV infection. | Jie Lu Qing Li Jiayuan Jiang Ziqiang Li Peiyun Wang Zike Sheng Rongtao Lai Huijuan Zhou Wei Cai Hui Wang Qing Guo Honglian Gui Qing Xie | 2021 | Virologica Sinica2021,36,4: | 4 |

| 17 | Polyanionic hydrogel electrolyte enables reversible and durable Zn anode for efficient Zn-based energy storage显示文摘Aqueous Zn-ion energy storage systems,which are expected to be integrated into intelligent electronics as a secure power supply,suffer poor reversibility of Zn anodes,predominantly associated with dendritic growth and side reactions.This study introduces a polyanionic strategy to address these formidable issues by developing a hydrogel electrolyte(PACXHE)with carboxyl groups.Notably,the carboxyl groups within the hydrogel structure establish favorable channels to promote the transport of Zn^(2+)ions.They also expedite the desolvation of hydrated Zn^(2+)ions,leading to enhanced deposition kinetics.Additionally,these functional groups confine interfacial planar diffusion and promote preferential deposition along the(002)plane of Zn,enabling a smooth surface texture of the Zn anode.This multifaceted regulation successfully achieves the suppression of Zn dendrites and side reactions,thereby enhancing the electrochemical reversibility and service life during plating/stripping cycles.Therefore,such an electrolyte demonstrates a high average Coulombic efficiency of 97.7%for 500 cycles in the Zn‖Cu cell and exceptional cyclability with a duration of 480 h at 1 mA cm^(-2)/1 mA h cm^(-2)in the Zn‖Zn cell.Beyond that,the Zn-ion hybrid micro-capacitor employing PACXHE exhibits satisfactory cycling stability,energy density,and practicality for energy storage in flexible,intelligent electronics.The present polyanionic-based hydrogel strategy and the development of PACXHE represent significant advancements in the design of hydrogel electrolytes,paving the way for a more sustainable and efficient future in the energy storage field. | Chunjiang Jin Congcong Yang Hongyu Mi Chenchen Ji Fengjiao Guo Chengzhe Liu Ziqiang Liu Nianjun Yang | 2023 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2023,,11: | 0 |

| 19 | Closely packed Si@C and Sn@C nano-particles anchored by reduced graphene oxide sheet boosting anode performance of lithium ion batteries显示文摘Both silicon and tin are promising anodes for new generation lithium ion batteries due to high lithium storage capacities(theoretically 4200 mA h g^(-1) and 992 mA h g^(-1),respectively).However,their large volumetric expansions(both are above 300%)usually lead to poor cycling stability.In this case,we synthesized closely packed Si@C and Sn@C nano-particles anchored by reduced graphene oxide(denoted as Si@C/Sn@C/rGO)by the way of solution impregnation and subsequent hydrogenation reduction.Sn particles with a diameter of 100 nm are coated by carbon and surrounded by Si@C particles around 40 nm in average diameter through the high-resolution transmission electron microscopy.Expansions of Si and Sn are alleviated by carbon shells,and reduced graphene oxide sheets accommodate their volume changes.The prepared Si@C/Sn@C/rGO electrode delivers an enhanced initial coulombic efficiency(78%),rate capability and greatly improved cycle stability(a high reversible capacity of nearly 1000 mA h g^(-1) is achieved after 300 cycles at a current density of 1000 mA g^(-1)).It can be believed that packing Sn@C nano-particles with Si@C relieves the volume expansion of both and releases the expansion stresses.Sn@C particles enhance anode process kinetics by reducing charge transfer resistance and increasing lithium ion diffusion coefficient.The present work provides a viable strategy for facilely synthesizing silicon-tin-carbon composite anode with long life. | Chaoye Zhu Yao Zhang Ziqiang Wu Zhihong Ma Xinli Guo Fuyi Guo Jiakun Zhang Yushu Li | 2021 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,28: | 0 |
